Day
one
of
our
trip
to
New
York
saw
us
head
straight
to
The
Top
of
The
Rock
observation
platform.
We
arrived
at
8.45am
and
the
queues
were
already
becoming
long
however,
the
entrance
and
ticket
purchase
process
is
sufficiently
slick
and
before
long,
we
were
at
the
desk
buying
our
tickets
to
go
to
the
top.
You
do
not
have
to
buy
in
advance
and
do
not
lose
out
by
not
doing
so.
Access
to
the
top
is
via
a
lift
however,
your
ticket
is
not
just
for
the
viewing
platform
but
there
is
also
all
the
history
of
the
building
on
display
around
the
public
areas.
Take
the
time
to
stop,
read
and
listen.
As
with
all
skyscraper
viewing
platforms
they
are
not
cheap
but
from
the
experience
we
had
it
is
an
absolute
must
and
worth
the
cost.
There
are
so
many
skyscraper
options
around
the
city
it
is
hard
to
choose
which
one
to
do
however,
in
my
opinion
based
on
my
experience
alone
whichever
ever
you
choose
you
will
have
a
great
time
observing
the
city
far
and
wide
so
don’t
get
too
hung
up
on
which
one
to
do.
In
addition,
it
doesn’t
have
to
be
the
tallest
building
in
New
York
to
get
the
views
and
have
a
good
time
although,
they
will
all
offer
something
slightly
different
I.e.
viewing
from
the
outside
on
an
open
level
or
enclosed
in
a
glass
structure.
The
Top
of
The
Rock
is
glass
enclosed
walls
but
open
to
the
sky.
The
weather
on
the
day
was
perfect
with
bright
blue
skies
and
sunshine
meaning
our
views
were
phenomenal.
All
areas
of
Manhattan,
lower,
mid
and
upper
could
be
seen
and
even
at
a
distance
the
Statue
of
Liberty
and
Brooklyn.
This
was
a
spectacular
way
to
start
our
day
and
trip
to
New
York.
Let
the
weather
choose
which
day
you
go
up
a
skyscraper
as
naturally,
the
better
the
weather
the
better
the
views.
Once
at
the
Top
of
The
Rock
it
is
very
peaceful
and
safe
and
I
would
assume
that
even
people
that
are
not
too
good
with
heights
would
feel
happy
up
here.
Once
you
have
finished
at
the
top,
head
down
and
spend
some
time
having
a
coffee
and
eats
around
the
skating
rink
and
gardens
at
the
Rockefeller
Centre
taking
in
the
sights
at
street
level
and
skaters
practicing
their
skills.
Get
there
early
and
have
a
great
time…..
it’s
a
must
if
you
are
new
to
the
city.
