This place is amazingly fun. We had such a great time walking through the exhibits and meeting various staff members, two that come to mind are Jade and Jesus. The rotating staff was amazing because they were so personable, friendly and sweet. We enjoyed many of the different themes and the transition from larger to smaller rooms, as well as the colors, settings and placement of figures. We also participated in the Marvel's 3D and Carnival shooting game. These games were both interactive and very fun (including the scary not-so-scary one). All in all, the place is extremely large, wonderful, and worth visiting again. I heard that the exhibits change around every 6 months so we can't wait to come back and see the updates.

Visiting Madame Tussauds Wax Museum was an unforgettable experience! We were amazed by the extensive collection, especially the Marvel characters. The museum's sheer size exceeded our expectations, spanning multiple floors. The lifelike figures allowed us to interact in unique ways, like sitting at the presidential desk or posing with royalty. A must-visit for anyone seeking a fun and immersive adventure!

I would give this experience 4.5 stars! We visited on a weekday evening, so it wasn't too crowded. The museum has so many famous celebrities and we loved taking pictures with all of them. There is a haunted portion and a super hero portion (that includes a short 4D movie) amongst many others. I believe that the price is steep, especially for those who do not want to take too many pictures. So this will be a one time visit for me! I also visited the Madam Tussauds in London and I felt that it had so much more to offer in terms of interactive experiences, gift store articles and the wax statues.

It’s very worth going. They have different areas for different characters. Very impressive and catchy! Make sure your phones/cameras are fully charged as the wax characters look so real (some may be prettier than they actually are), want to take pictures with them all 😄😄

This is a classic attraction: multiple real sized wax models of famous and important people from around the world. There are also several activities like a video game, a Halloween style horror section, a 4D movie and a place to make a wax model of your hand (not included with a basic ticket, you may not need evr on top to enjoy your visit here). The wax models range from famous celebrities to marvel superheroes keeping adults and kids fascinated by the striking contrast: amazingly realistic models completely still.. this place has no food available inside. Restrooms are available. Try to come off peak to avoid the crowds and plan to take your time here, part of the fun is to just get those perfect pictures of you and your favorite wax.

Madame Tussauds in New York provides a captivating and interactive experience, bringing visitors face-to-face with incredibly lifelike wax figures of celebrities, historical figures, and pop culture icons. The attention to detail in the sculptures is impressive, making it an engaging attraction for fans and tourists alike. The museum offers a mix of entertainment and educational value, allowing visitors to take photos with their favorite stars and learn about the intricate process of creating these wax masterpieces. However, peak times can lead to crowded conditions, affecting the overall experience. Nevertheless, Madame Tussauds remains a must-visit destination for those seeking a fun and star-studded adventure in the heart of the city.

Absolutely loved this place! It is unbelievably realistic how some of the celebrities look. Only issue was I was a little agitated that I was forced to purchase an admission ticket with the 4D Marvel movie, I only wanted the regular admission but I don’t regret it! The Marvel movie was amazing, between the effects to the blowing wind and something poking your back was an unforgettable experience. Definitely recommend!

I was pleasantly impressed by how much stuff to do in this place! It takes a good 3 hours to properly go through this place. So many wax figures to be amazed by. There is a cafe closer to the middle area for a quick snack. The Avengers film Was good but could have been a little longer. It was too quick. This place was great! Check it out!

First time exploration. Pretty decent! If you are a movie fan and specially marvel, they have one whole floor dedicated for it. The short movie is good too. They say- all statues get changed/replaced every six months so we can visit again. I might not be going back. But for once, it’s good to click pictures. Pretty expensive souvenir and pictures!

A family a four from the UK with two teenagers aged 13 and 15 had a great afternoon out. It’s open late at night which works well. They knew loads of the celebs also which was good. We’ve been here a few times over the years and everything we’ve had a good time. The museum is bigger than you think and keeps going. The scary part was fun and unexpected. It’s clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The 4D cinema was brilliant also. This was included as part of our tourist sight seeing pass. There’s also a bar inside to enjoy drink or two.

It was great, but the elevators broke while I was there in late July. I would love to visit again. You start your journey on the top floor and work your way down. My photos stop after the 5-6 floor where they as for you to complete a survey to continue. There’s games and gift shops along the way. If you’re in the ghost busters area, look for a big red button.

Better than expected! We got right in without a wait. Didn't know there was a floor with a bar, that was a nice surprise! Drinks were a little strong but tasty. We really enjoyed all of the scenery along with the wax figures. Everything was displayed very well. Great place for anyone adult or child.

We got that sightseeing pass and used that to enter. We got in, and we ended up having to call customer service, which took 10-15 min. It had to be done manually for some reason. Then, there's absolutely no direction... just a "keep going".. not informing us to wait for the elevator. So my group and others were walking around aimlessly until others were like I think we wait for it here. After that, it was better. Pretty cool for what it was.

We had a great time. The museum is in the middle of Times Square, which by itself is pretty awesome. I thought it was just wax figures, but we enjoyed the 7D shooting game SO MUCH (the seats move and everything) and the 4D Marvel short movie was pretty cool too. It’s a complete walk through experience and every room is themed. You could probably get through everything in a little as an hour, but we stayed for about 2 hours. At the end you can purchase the photo they take of your family as well as many other souvenirs. We purchased tickets in advance online and that made admission super quick and easy.

This place is amazing. It has so many sections from sports to celebrities, history, and so many more. This place truly has something for everyone and they change their wax figures every 6-8 months so there can be different people. The place is extremely clean but the gift shop doesn’t take cash. I would recommend this place for anyone 13 and older but not the elderly since people always want to take pictures and it’s the environment has a very fast moving pace to it. Also for the disabled: we had to work our way down from the top floor by using the stairs so it wouldn’t really be good for them either

Our visit to Madame Tussauds New York was absolutely amazing! The lifelike wax figures, interactive exhibits, and 4D cinema made it a memorable adventure. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment. I've captured our experience in a YouTube video titled "The Ultimate Madame Tussauds New York Tour 2024" – you can find it by searching on YouTube. Highly recommend this attraction for a perfect blend of entertainment and artistry!

I liked this one better than the Madame Tussauds in Florida. The 7D ride was great and the 4D movie was fun also. So much more interactive and celebs that I don't remember seeing in Florida as well.

This is a fun family tourist trap. They do a great job of mixing up themes and actors and actresses. Traveler tip: this attraction is on the New York pass. So save yourself a few bucks and see a lot of things in New York.

This was a last minute find while visiting New York for a concert and it was worth every penny. I absolutely will always remember my time here and I can't wait to come back. The setups were great and the walk through the building was perfectly paced. I love that they add in new figures from time to time and would love to bring more people here.

This place will blow your mind! The wax figures look so exact, they speak for themselves. You can actually pose with them too, some photos you can’t tell the difference. Some have the atmosphere around them to make it more realistic. It’s a fun day trip for all ages. Enjoy!

The wax museum was worth every minute and every penny. Multiple floors filled with wax figures that were expertly created. I loved the horror section. The 3D short film was fun for the kids. The wax hand collectible was fun to make and nice keepsake. We spent about 2 hours inside and was entertained the whole time. Multiple interactive sections.

Wonderfully fun! I have lived in NYC all my life and decided to go on my birthday because I had never visited the place before. On a Monday around 11am it was not crowded at all! The place is well organized and quite extensive. Had a great time walking around, posing with the statues and taking photos. The 10 minute 4-D movie is amazing! Even my partner who had poo-pooed the place as being “just for tourists” admitted that it was really fun.

It’s okay if you have extra time to visit more places in NYC. The wax statues don’t look real, some are poor imitation some are good. There usually is a waiting line to enter so recommend buying tickets in advance. We took the marvel 4D package but the 8 minutes movie was not very good. Also they provide picture package, they give 36 photos with various background for $5 it’s it’s a good deal.

Madame Tussauds Wax Cabinet positively surprised. I expected this place to be small but this place is big. It's amazing how short some people are. Or how tall some people are. Some of the wax dolls are amazingly real. Even I got excited to photograph myself with the characters and live with them. Lots of Marvel characters. The Marvel 4D movie was short but great.

Fun time with the family. Lots of photo ops with famous and infamous (wax) people. Many are super life-like. Trump is especially disturbing looking and Biden has a mischievous grin like Jim Carrey. They have a lot of Marvel characters and characters from Warner Brothers scary movies.

Visited Madame Tussauds while in New York. It was amazing!!! You're taken by an elevator to the fifth floor and walk through some of the most incredible lookalike figures. Every room is different themed. They also have a wax hand display, 4d Marvel Avengers movie, and Killer Klown 3d interactive game. Had a great time...definitely worth checking out.

I must say that I had an absolutely great experience at the NY Madame Tussauds. The staff was amazing and Frankie was the best. He was funny and witty and made the tour even more enjoyable. The 4D movie experience was the highlight of the tour for me and we just kept taking photos. They have snack stations, it’s both adult and kid friendly and all in all is a magical place. I highly recommend visiting there.

First time visit and came here for the regular plus paid extra for the Marvel 4D experience. I loved it here: great photo ops everywhere from the magazine cover, runway, and staged scenes w the wax figures. The levels were well thought out and glad to know they switch the figures and scenes around ever so often I was told. The short 4D movie is a nice experience and tribute to Marvel. Some figures need work however (that is not MLK Jr., Will Smith, and a few others). Also, some areas were a bit hot given the amount of people that could be on a level. And lastly, the photo at the beginning seems a bit too pricey (32 for a pic is a lot given that's almost the price of the ticket itself). All in all, I had a fun memorable time!

Madame Tassauds presents the best wax sculptures one could ever imagine! If you desire to meet your favorite celebrity step into this amazing museum & you will come face to face with them. One catch they can’t talk back.😉 Either way you don’t want to miss this amazing experience of such art on display!

Super fun place to visit and see all the fun figures. I will say this is something that would be better to go with someone or a small group. I went solo and there were a lot of fun photo opportunities, but I didn't want to bother someone everytime to get a fun photo. But would definitely recommend!

Loved visiting this fascinating wax museum! It's definitely worth it to come here! There are sooo so many wax figures to see and this place is huge!! Each time you think "wow in saw a lot" there's so much more. Not only do you get to see and recognize all your favorite celebrities and political figures, but the art is so good and so well done, you could really admire the work for hours. Highly recommend visiting if you have time:)

My husband and I were just walking around Times Square. It was our last day in NYC and we didn't have anything planned. We were standing across the street when I saw the “wax museum” sign. Didn’t even know that was a thing! We were a bit hesitant at first because of the price but it was really worth it! So many celebrities, movie characters and politicians in here. Their 4D movie experience was fun! The chairs vibrated and poked you to make it feel like you were actually in the movie.

Fascinating place for Celeb fans near Times Squares on Broadway Street in New York city. The whole museum is well crafted and the 3D Movie along with Gaming is also awesome. The place attracts a large number of visitors every day. The price is justified as per quality of time one spent inside this 9 floor building. Excellent freedom allowed to visitors to click pics with wax statues of their favorite celebs. The assortment is huge - Movie Starts, Pop Stars, Sports Starts, TV Stars, News Anchors, Reality Show hosts etc. Snacks and soft drinks available inside.

If you are in NYC, this is a must visit place. We booked general admissions and 4d marvel experience. Kids loved marvel experience more. All the statues are near to real life people, i was amazed to see the details captured by the artists. 2 to 3 hours are needed to enjoy all 5 levels. You will be tempted for photographs with each celebrity for sure. You can take souvenirs from gift shop if you like.

This is about as close as I can get to seeing some of those famous people that I have watched on TV in person. Standing next to historical figures and famous celebrities of the past and the present is a unique experience. Some are creepy and some bring out some emotion/reaction from people. It was cool to see people smiling when they see certain people. I personally felt sad seeing Robin Williams, and Whitney, and a few others. I saw FDR and all I could think about was the Dust Bowl Theory that I wrote a paper on in high school. For some of them, I've also wondered about their height as well with me standing next to them, like Yao Ming for example, and/or Groot in real-life scale; the two are about the same height. Hulk was huge, if that was the scale they used in the film. Some statues were done quite well with some very lifelike features, some are so-so and could use a rework. I also like the effects they added in the background. It was nice to see some Broadway stuff in there as well. There's quite a "bit" of Marvel stuff in there but not a single DC. Something tells me that Stan Lee's statue and comic book stand inside the exhibit had something to do with it. Otherwise, I blame the Nun. We were in and out quickly but got to see almost all the statues. The line was short and we bought our ticket inside. All-in-all, it was a nice experience if not for the rainy, cold Monday.

A perfectly fine way to kill an hour in Midtown. We went in because we had the New York Pass but I'd have felt annoyed if I'd bought a ticket. It wasn't very comfortable inside (the lack of AC was weird for New York) but some of the sets were fun. The Marvel movie was quite fun.

Not sure how often they update the museum…but it was completely different from last time I had visited. Always an interesting and fun time. Be prepared to take lots of pics and selfies. A nice addition was an area that you can have a wax mold of your hand made for an additional cost. The kids thought that was the coolest thing and they were just like the celebrity wax statues. Museum is pretty large and you should plan at least 2 hours to see all of it. The gift shop could use some revamping as a lot of the items had nothing to do with any of it.

It was really nice. It could have had more wax figures but it was nice nonetheless. Staff seems to be a little stressed out especially with the big crowds, hence the 4 stars. They were a bit rude, snippy and disorganized.

  • 5/5 Ronnie N. 2 years ago on Google
Madame Tussaud’s was a lot better than I expected. The attraction has multiple unique floors that are extremely well themed. My personal favorite was the presidential floor because it had several great historical figures from the Pope to Winston Churchill. To go along with the extremely realistic wax figures they also have several attractions. From the free mirror maze to the upgrade Avengers XD theater. I’m not a huge ghostbusters fan but I did really enjoy the haunted floors that where ghostbuster themed. There was a long line before opening but the staff got everything through rather quickly. It is NYC so there was a homeless guy yelling at children to come see him before we went in, which was disconcerting, but it is the city and not necessarily Madame Tussaud’s fault.

  • 4/5 Neffyar C. 1 year ago on Google
Ok, the wax figures were brilliant 👏🏾. I do have a complaint that it was entirely too crowded. They suggest to purchase tickets online to ensure a spot, but it seemed like 18% of New York attended. It was hard to take personalized photos with the wax figures without someone in your photo. Also, had rude people cutting in front and I had to tell people off about it. They need to regulate the amount of people that enter the museum. Despite the chaos I took great photos.

A really must see in NYC. You can get in touch with all wax copies of famous actual celebrities and movie characters. There are figures of Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman as well as e.g. movie characters like Captain America or Hulk. We went on Saturday morning and didn't have to wait. Inside, there is also a surprise in the top models area. ;)

Family trip. We had SO MUCH fun! It was an unexpected visit, we were just walking by and decided to go in on the spot. They were almost closing and I wish we had more time to spend, But as it was it was perfect! A little tip: Don't pose next to the statue as an object. Think of it as a person, look for where are they looking at, and look at the same spot before the picture, or use their pose as a photo element.

I didn’t think this place would be as fun as it was but I was wrong! Got in with the NYC pass as a time killer before a show but I was very surprised at the very well set up floors full of really life like models! They even had a horror themed section which was very cool! 4D Marvel thing was cool but probably better if you have kids with you!

Super fun place to go to with family and friends. You can avoid part of the Marvel stuff by following some signs instead of going and watching the screening. There are a bunch of different rooms with themes like oldies, horror, glam disco, sports, etc. The staff were very friendly in directing us where to go and checking us in.

The Madam Tussauds New York is one of New York’s most renowned attraction, and an “absolute definite must see and visit destination.” Located in the heart of Times Square, Midtown Manhattan, New York City, the Madam Tussauds is the world’s premier wax museum, featuring a prolific collection of sculptures that depict recognizable figures, ranging from athletes, celebrities, world leaders, and even superheroes. The Madam Tussauds was founded and named after Marie Tussauds, a highly prominent French artist and sculptor of the 18th & 19th Century and it’s first wax museum was established in London in 1835. The first museum’s immense success eventually led to the development of other museums throughout the world. In August of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a visit to Madam Tussauds New York and we enjoyed every moment of our time there!!! Our favorite parts of the museum were the area that featured world leaders (both past and present) and the “Hall Of Superheroes” which showcased an extensive collection of Marvel superheroes, such as Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor & Incredible Hulk. I also had great fun watching the Marvel 4D Movie, and playing the Carnival Carnage 7D game. Both my wife and I treasured our time and experience at the Madam Tussauds and definitely recommend that everyone visit this highly entertaining destination!!!

We absolutely loved it! My whole group! I wasn’t sure some in the group would like it and think it was boring/ lame but they loved it just as much as I knew I would. There are many celebrities in all areas music, sports, fantasy, movies and more!

One of the most popular museums in the world is undoubtedly Madame Tussauds, whose realistic and faithful wax figures have made its name known to everyone. It is present in numerous cities, but this does not detract from the fact that each museum in the chain is a surprise, thanks to the different characters on offer and the always up-to-date settings. Of course, the Big Apple also has the honour of hosting one! Madame Tussauds New York is located at 234 West 42nd Street. Overlooking Times Square, the museum will not only offer you a beautiful itinerary of major American (and non-American) personalities, but also an immersion in the true essence of New York to make you fall even more in love with the city.

Great time! The wax statues are absolutely amazing and so life like! The wax hands is a must do! Antoinette was go incredible helping the kids get their hands done. It took about 2 1/2 hours or so to get through the floors. I recommend getting there early because the lines definitely get longer as the day goes on.
