A lot of people review this place as an audience member but I want to address it as a performer. This is what we’ve all wished for so let’s get that out of the way. When you roll up, you’re not aloud to carry or setup anything, union rules. If you need anything done goes running off and returns with options quickly. The sound crew is amazing. The capture your instrument and know how to present it in this room like no one else. The stage crew all around is just so dialed in and professional it was a sight to see. The green rooms were big and had upright pianos available. These pianos were the most perfectly tuned instruments I’ve ever heard. We did get spoken to about try to take pictures and videos but rules are rules and that’s understandable I guess. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? I took the Q to 57th street, it’s right there.

Carnegie Hall was an okay experience. The acoustics were decent, but I expected a bit more magic considering its reputation. The performance was great , but I've seen better employees elsewhere.

The first experience or go right or go wrong...well the 1st experience when right. The experience got me to the point of amazingnes feelings. Happiness and the time went so fast that we did not notice. Good things don't last that long for sure. Will be one of those experience that you will never forget. The place is incredible beautiful and the resonance is so delightful to the ears.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. So happy to be back at Carnegie Hall. Still very clean and immaculate except for the narrow settings. The concession stands were closed during my concert and they still expect proof of vaccination cards upon entry. Masks is still mandatory.

Excellent organization at entrance. Smooth lines. Vaccine cards checks, etc. Carnegie Hall is as expected a traditional place where you meet the peak of human being cultural and intellectual performances. Some of the audience should be educated a bit better but over all everyone is respectful of the artist and of each other. There's no dress code enforced but I'd recommend elegantly casual.

From the initial phone call assistance in purchasing tickets to passing through the security guards, the customer service at Carnegie Hall was nothing short of seamless. The venue itself is breathtaking and majestic. As a plus-size individual (3x), I had concerns about fitting comfortably in the chairs, given past experiences at Broadway shows. However, Carnegie Hall pleasantly surprised me – the seats were not only plus-size-friendly but also exceptionally comfortable. I wholeheartedly look forward to returning for another show at this fantastic venue.

Beautiful, historic venue. Came to see a friend's choir perform and really enjoyed it. The concert hall is beautiful and sounds great for choral and orchestral music - would probably be too live for more modern styles or smaller ensembles. Seats were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It can even get a little cold if the place isn't full of people.

It was a Sold-out Lang Lang concert on a Thursday night. The only seats left were in the nose-bleed section at the very top tier of seats. If you must sit there get the last row, row Q - it more feet room (forget leg room!) then row P on down. Sightlines and sound were great! Our wait time was because we got there early. The ticket price was almost $100 each - and all that was left to buy a month before the concert.

Such a luxurious concert hall, floors are soft carpet and everything around you feels regal and elegant. The sound projection is AMAZING, you could hear someone speaking from across the hall. Many cool historical artifacts to look at, as well as a small gift shop.

Carnegie Hall offers a delightful experience for lovers of art, with its storied building, well-designed venue, and photogenic interiors. The acoustics are perfect, and there are various ways to enjoy a performance, including donations, memberships, and discounts for students and groups. The experience is worth every penny, whether you're a seasoned musician or a layman. Full review: Nestled in the heart of New York City, Carnegie Hall stands as a hallowed hall for connoisseurs of art, a beacon of musical excellence that has enraptured audiences for over a century. Stepping into this storied building is akin to stepping into a bygone era of elegance and refinement, where every note played resonates with the echoes of musical history. The venue itself is a masterpiece of design, with its grand auditoriums and intimate recital spaces offering a perfect setting for a wide range of performances. From the majestic grandeur of the main hall to the intimate charm of the smaller venues, Carnegie Hall provides a stage for artists to showcase their talents in the most exquisite manner. Our recent visit to Carnegie Hall was nothing short of enchanting. The acoustics were pristine, allowing every note to ring out with crystal clarity. As we settled into our seats, we were greeted by the soothing voice of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, welcoming us to an evening of musical splendor. What sets Carnegie Hall apart is not just its illustrious history or impeccable design, but also its accessibility. Despite its reputation as a bastion of high culture, Carnegie Hall welcomes all, offering various ways to enjoy a performance. Whether through donations, memberships, or discounted tickets for students and groups, Carnegie Hall ensures that the magic of live music is within reach of all who seek it. As a former cellist, raised by a mother who was classically trained and taught opera, my appreciation for Carnegie Hall runs deep. But you need not be steeped in musical tradition to appreciate the greatness that unfolds before you at Carnegie Hall. The sheer beauty of the music, the artistry of the performers, and the palpable sense of history that permeates the air are enough to captivate even the most casual listener. Carnegie Hall is not just a venue; it is a testament to the enduring power of music to uplift, inspire, and unite us all. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a layman, a visit to Carnegie Hall is an experience that will stay with you long after the final note has faded into the ether.

So pretty. Music sounds magical in there. Sometimes it was difficult to hear speakers though; even with mics on. Staff were extremely nice and helpful!

If you are in New York City, you must go in the Carnegie Hall. You need to purchase ticket as soon as possible . It is a nice and gorgeous hall, the sound is just amazing. I saw one concert there, a Hungarian pianist. It was amazing. If you have time to get around you should, because you can see who were attending there. You should dress nice if you go there.

This is the first time I enter the Carnegie Hall. My son and his peers were selected in the WorldStrides Honors Instrumental Performance. There are three groups. Honors String Orchestra, Honors Symphony Orchestra, and Honors Band. I had a blast!

Beautiful, Authentic and Spacious concert hall that adds life and experience to any type of performance. It is a very elegant venue. On this night went to see comedian Andrew Dice Clay. I sat in the upper deck and could see and hear him just fine. The liquour areas were moderately priced for midtown NYC.

First time visiting this iconic concert hall, the richness of the historic building permeates the experience, in my case it was move interesting than the show I saw. We had seats in first tier, which is a box, with its own entrance and a place to hang your coats. There are 9 seats in a box and you will be sat with strangers if you only book a couple of the seats. The red velvet was luxurious. We were right on the edge of the box. The seats behind the first seats gradually get longer legs so you are tiered for an unobstructed view. The ushers were very nice and the place was spotless and very clean.

It's Carnegie hall, one of the more legendary venues in NYC. The venue itself is a work of art, every molding, ever floor is absolutely stunning, a memory of an era of grandeur. The sound lives up to the venue, and while it's not the loudest system you'll hear, it's crystal clear and honest to what's happening on stage. Admittedly, it really could have been louder for those not graced with front row seats. I was unfortunate to visit during covid and as such there was no drink service at all, which was a bummer...but still an unforgettable experience.

The world famous, legendary Carnegie Hall, is woven into cultural history as a theatre of great musical performances across different genres, including jazz, classical music and even the Beatles. Enjoy some great concerts, in a landmark venue, amongst appreciative, engaging and knowledgeable audiences. 2023 is the 10th anniversary of the National Youth Ensembles, and the 6th year of the National Youth Orchestra Jazz, a modern day big band. I enjoyed a sensational set of performances crammed full of young artistic talent, combined with some stylish interventions from some older masters appearing as special guests. Well done to Sean Jones, artistic director, for pulling together such an array of talent to explore some musical masterpieces. With the theme of the 29ers, or artists born on the 29th of any month, he wrote himself into a script of icons, including Duke Ellington and Wycliffe Gordon. The connection between the highly appreciative and engaged audience and the young musicians made the occasion extraordinary. A night of great memories with great people.

Its great to have Carnegie hall performances again. Not exactly back to normal, because you need to show you are fully vaccinated, 3 does for adults and wear a mask during the entire performance and inside the building. However, after you take your seat, the old Carnegie hall magic returns. Incredibly beautiful space and acoustics. People dress nicely which adds to the elegance and ambience. A good mix of established performances and other groups from around the country. Tickets are reasonably priced.

First of all, any guesses for the one thing that Carnegie Hall offers for free - surprise surprise, Ricola lozenges!! Amazing overall experience at Carnegie Hall. We first took a tour of the hall and heard amazing stories from the guide. Then we attended a family member’s performance. The acoustics were simply the best. The decor was graceful. The ambience was meditative. The whole process of getting in and out was so smooth for such a large facility. The museum was classy, the gift shop was a bit too tiny, and the cafe had good ambience.

If you have a chance to see a show in Carnegie Hall, I highly recommend it. The acoustics of the hall are phenomenal from any seat.

The acoustic is the best. There are many parking lots in the area. The cafe"s food was fresh. The 3rd level dress circle has an elevator, if you don't want orchestra or stairs.

Classy venue with a timeless history. This concert hall is famed for good reason — walking into the hall feels like a experiencing over a century of the history, where world-class musicians have performed and achieved one of the greatest accomplishments any artist can claim. I always look forward to a concert in this hall, as I can be almost certain that I will not leave disappointed. Note however that many seats have a partial view, and these views can often be severely restricted (e.g. missing over half the stage). When purchasing tickets I would strongly encourage ensuring that you avoid these tickets, even if they may be slightly less expensive.

We saw Yunchan Lim perform here and it was just phenomenal! We sat in the dress circle and we had a great view of the stage. The seats were a little cramped but still comfortable. You could hear the piano very clearly. Overall a wonderful experience!

You must visit Carnegie Hall if you are in New York City. It's a lovely and beautiful space, and the sound is incredible. I attended one concert there when I was in New York, which featured an interior deco. It was incredible. You should walk around. Carnegie Hall used to have University convocations most for NYC colleges. If you have time must visit Central park too since you can see who else was there. March 20 2019 I went to this place for my friend’s convocation.

My experience at CH was an open rehearsal for The Best of Christmas with Norm Lewis and the New York Pops. What a treat! It was so fun and a relaxed experience. We had great seats; sitting in general admission. The musicians and singers were all phenomenal. The conductor was a hoot! I’m sure the live show was amazing! I’d love to come back soon! I’m glad this established is still going strong!

Went on 1/7/2022 for the FF7 REMAKE concert...after being canceled & delayed x100 Acoustics were definitely better compared to some other halls.

Lovely spot to enjoy concerts! I have been here a couple of times and both experiences were excellent. Only downside is the occasional subway rumbling.

This place is AMAZING! I understand now why people talk about this place so much and how exciting it is to go and experience not just love music, but the location itself as well. Quick recommendation, we learned the hard way how HIGH the balcony seats are... If you're afraid of heights, don't do it to yourself. For at least 10 minutes before the show I sat frozen terrified of falling. Once the show started however, I got so into it, the being up high actually felt awesome! We saw the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour. There are not words for the experience. From the music, to the actual building itself, to the people who helped us find our seats, this was freaking awesome! If you have the chance to go to a show, doooooo iiiiiittt! The only thing that bothered me a bit (besides the height of course!) Was the lack of social distancing. It wasn't enough of a problem for me to take a star off, but it was definitely a thing for me. Still recommend it though! Sorry for the crooked photo, I was trying to show just how high up we were lol.

Saw the FF7 remake symphony. So nostalgic and made me tear up. The staff are extremely courteous and professional. Masks must be worn, and definitely worth getting a seat on first or second tier.

After seeing a live amplified performances at another historic venue, my appreciation for Carnegie Hall has been renewed. Comfortable seating, well lit and attentive staff make this NYC landmark live up to its reputation. Always worth a visit.

"New Voices from 1930's " at Carnegie Hall, reminiscing the splendor of stage, theaters and architecture. Seats 500+ Climb stairs up to 4th tier or use the elevator, seems maintained over the years, excellent acoustics, lighting, red velvet seats, always perfect orchestra destination, for performers and attendees.well situated on W57th street N,R trains, lots of eateries to walk to after a concert. Explore, learn and experience performing artists at their best.

Great hall, Only if the elevators work or the ushers were kind enough to show us the way. I like they are asking vaccine cards but not the way they are asking. They were really rude. Next to staff the hall is amazing. You hear the artists playing very next to you. Wonderful music and wonderful artists. This hall is one of a kind and treasure for New York city. Special thanks to Fazil say and Orpheus Orchestras.
