This was the first time I've been to MSG since they renovated the Arena and it was amazing. The concourse was clean, bright and wide. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Even going to get food between periods (I took my son to a Rangers game) was quick and easy. We didn't wait in any lines at all...ever. The staff who we dealt with were all very friendly. They welcomed us on arriving and thanked us for coming when we left. It was a great experience all around. We can't wait for our next visit!

Worlds most famous and greatest venue. My preferred venue for any entertainment, more specifically Harry Styles. From the ease of getting there with staff outside directing you in, to top notch concessions, without a bad seat in the house. From Philadelphia but highly suggest to anyone second guessing seeing their favorite artist/band here vs their local venue… D O N ‘ T and do it! A few other review points… extremely clean, the bathrooms are the cleanest of any venue bathroom I’ve ever been to. The MSG staff 5 stars and two thumbs up across the board. MSG over every venue 🙌🏻🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿

Wonderful arena to see the Eagles farewell concert!!!! First time here and I truly enjoyed it. We stayed at The New Yorker and MSG was right down the street and convenient. It appears that there was construction everywhere and congested as usual. Plenty of options to enter the building. Each floor had a lot of memorabilia that showcased wonderful memories. Everyone who touched our soul from music to sports. There are escalators going to each floor. I’m not sure where the elevators were but I’m positive it’s wheelchair accessible to get anyone to where they need to go. One thing that was annoying is that at the end of the concert, there was so much congestion to get to the escalator. I’m sure this is how it always is during any event at any location unfortunately. The arena is equipped with a lot of food vendors and gift stands. They had a lot of different options of food if you’re a picky eater. Drink stands were abundant as well. Prices are the standard for any event and being at an arena. Restrooms were spaces enough to provide options as where your seats are. The lavatories were nicely maintained and stocked. Unfortunately they do not provide toilet seat covers. Staff were professional and courteous. Assisted us with finding our seats. They do not have seat side service. The arena seating was very comfortable me but for the average person it might be a little tight and I’m only 5’2 and 115lbs. The view from our seats were not the best but still had a good view from the wide screen. The arena had a great sound system that provided such a memorable music experience. Usually some places don’t have a great sound system and when someone spoke it just echoed or distorted. Cleanliness overall was above par. Overall experience - my husband and I loved seeing the Eagles and they did a fantastic job performing. MSG made it even more memorable by providing such a great platform for them.

From Toronto, this is one of the best hockey game experience I've had in a long time. It's my first time in the Gardens and I had a blast. The food options are 10/10. The atmosphere with the fans are amazing. When Rangers score a goal the building explodes. Highly recommend going to a game no matter what type of fan you are.

Great venue. Saw Eric Clapton there, and the sound was great. Staff were helpful and polite. Had seats in the 102 section, low in the stadium, directly across from the stage. Good seats, but you really needed the screens above the stage to see the performers. If you want to be close to the stage, you need to be on the floor or in the wings. It is very easy to get in and out from New Jersey using NJ Transit. I am so glad I did not try to drive in. The train is very convenient.

I had the best time here! Was able to see Billy Joel, Billie Eilish and Elton John! All the staff was awesome every single time. All the tickets I bought at the box office and the sellers were very patient and offered great costumer service!

I was in a New York visiting from Australia and saw that the New York Rangers ice hickey team was in town, so decided to go along. Great venue and atmosphere. Really enjoyed it. Getting in and out was easy and supervised by helpful staff. The views from the seats were great despite being towards the back. The only thing I'd improve is the toilet situation as the lines were horrendously long. Other than that, I'm glad I experienced one of the great venues of the world.

My favorite arena in the United States. Between the location, atmosphere, and setting, this is the mecca for a reason. Also a good place to watch a concert, but to me it is the best during Rangers' playoff hockey time. I have also seen ATP tennis tournaments here. A must-visit in New York, just head to 34th and Penn on the 1, 2, 3 or the A-train.

I went to the basketball match between New York Knicks and Wizards. Our vaccination cards were checked at the entrance and we got in comfortably. If you are fully vaccinated then you don’t need to wear a mask during the match. We had to use the stairs instead of the elevator as there was no electricity due to work. Other than that everything was great. It is also very easy to access, and the ambiance is also very nice. Winning the game with a three-pointer at the last second is priceless. #LetsGoKnicks

This is my 4th time as MSG and I have never had a bad time. While the vendor pricing is what is expected for an event, I'd always love to see those prices go down. The area is clean. The seats are a bit on the smaller side, but expected for the venue type. The sound was great for every concert I've attended. The stage is versatile, as I've seen it from multiple angles for different artists and it's been a good experience each time.

We did the 60 min all access tour at 1 pm. Our tour guide Eric was informative and friendly. We went to tour the luxurious suites, walked on the bridge, went to the arena and toured their locker rooms. It was a pretty cool experience, especially for the sports fanatics.

The one and only! This is such an iconic arena that I've seen on television so many times, it was a humbling experiencing it in person! For such an old arena, I was impressed how modern it felt, and how clean it was. Would absolutely recommend music and sports fans to check this facility out at least once in your life!

PROS: I never knew how close this arena was to Penn Station or the Port authority. I always assumed it was near the Empire State building. Beautiful on the inside and looks renovated. The staff is very nice and it's easy to navigate throughout the place. This stadium is a lot smaller than I thought. I was under the impression that it was the size of Metlife Stadium. CONS: Obviously no parking lot since it's in the city and the plot of land it sits on is tiny. When there's a huge crowd outside it's likely that you'll be standing in the street before being let in OVERALL: For a arena in the city it is very nice. Not my favorite overall, which is Yankee Stadium (in regards to city stadiums) but it's definitely an attraction you need to see

I had mixed emotions when we were planning our visit to NY to see the Edmonton Oilers play the NY Rangers. We have been to quite a few arenas to see the Oilers play and our home arena Rogers Place is quite a splendid one to compare to. We were amazed how good MSG is! Not just the amazing history and timelessness of the arena, but the overall experience. The staff were outstanding- helpful, friendly and accepting of someone wearing the opposition team jersey. The fans were excellent as well! The price of admission was a bit steep, but we have to accept in such a large market with such a great team like the Rangers, you have to pay a premium. I would highly recommend a list to MSG for most any event!

One of a kind experience when you see an event at MSG. It’s called the most famous arena in the world for a reason. There is something special about watching a game there. I’ve seen many concerts before but recently attended a Rangers game for the first time. It was incredible. Amazing atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again.

Really nice staff, the ushers were very nice asked us, if we want a photo. Clean and neat. Food was good, we tried pepperoni pizza, nachos and popcorn and everything was fresh. They open the entrance on time and was a quick process, I felt safe anytime. We really enjoyed the entertainment, lighting and sound production.

Really good fun experience for the whole family for a basketball game. Great entertainment, they know how to put on a good show. Clean. Mostly helpful staff. Prices as expected. $14 for a burger for example. Best aim to get there 40-60 minutes before for similar sports events. Especially if you want to browse the shops or get some food.

Let's Go Rangers!!......Let's Go!! We watched a New York Rangers Ice Hockey game here whilst on our visit and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We booked our tickets the afternoon of the game as they seemed to get cheaper through the day on Ticketmaster. We were quite high up, but still had a fantastic view of the game. The beers aren't cheap here, but when in Rome......... Would definitely love to see another event here like the Knicks playing etc.

This was my first time visiting MSG. It was really easy to get there. I took the train in from EWR in Newark and that was simple. The arena is older, it looks old, but it's still pretty cool. Upon entering, the interior is modern and clean and everything is easy to get to. Concessions are very high, but it's New York and it's Madison Square Garden, so what do you expect? The fact that it's above Penn Station makes it a convenient destination in NYC. There were Vivid strip models from the nearby club handing out flyers in the lobby upon leaving the building, which was interesting. Overall, a nice arena, and it's got a lot of history, so that was cool to think about while there.

Madison Square Garden one of the best event venues in the world. As grand as it is iconic this New York City landmark is amazing as a place to attend sporting events and concerts. I go to Phish concerts here and I have been to many sporting events including St. John’s basketball games and have been two events in the theater as well. This place does not filter impressed at all and just worth a visit on a trip to New York City. If you’ve ever been you should make it a bucket list item to do one day.

Amazing from every perspective. From sports to music, this is one of the best Stadiums in the world. We went to a Maneskin show and it was astonishing. The entry and exit was fast and very easy. The view is magnificent from almost every seat in the stadium. You can buy food, drinks and stuff inside the Garden.

Best arena in the country!! It was so much fun watching the Rangers play here and absolutely dominate with a seven to one victory. Even though I did end up getting a nose bleed while in the nose bleeds to every ones laughter in the section it was a great time. Go Rangers!!! To another great season. Let’s get the cup this year.

Nice venue, wife and I sat in the Chase Sky Bridge for a Pink concert, section 314, row 2. Overall decent seats up in the rafters. Looking down onto the show was fine and definitely closer than the 400 level seats in the back. However, being that high up and to the side of the stage, there were some obstructions, and the sound was less than desirable. Sound had too much bass and not enough treble to clearly make sense when the artists were talking. The sound during the opening act and dj opener was terrible and you couldn't really appreciate the music. Clarity during Pink's performance was better. The facility was very clean and had plenty of staff to assist as needed.

Madison Square Garden is a true gem. The venue's rich legacy and diverse events make it a quintessential New York experience. Whether you're there for a sports event, a concert, or any other show, the atmosphere is electric and the energy is palpable. The seating arrangement ensures that even from the farthest seats, you're still part of the action. The staff's friendliness and efficiency contribute to a seamless experience. Navigating the venue is hassle-free with clear signage and well-designed facilities. The range of food and beverage options available caters to all tastes, and the quality is surprisingly good for a large arena. Its central location makes it easily accessible, and stepping inside feels like stepping into a piece of New York history. The memories created within its walls are immeasurable, adding a layer of nostalgia to each visit. From a grand concert to a thrilling game, Madison Square Garden knows how to captivate its audience. For its legacy, world-class events, and ability to create unforgettable moments, Madison Square Garden is undoubtedly deserving of a 5 out of 5 rating. It's a testament to New York's vibrant culture and entertainment scene.

we had this experience in August 2023. I'll start by saying that the organization for attraction pass holders is terrible. everyone is made to line up, without first counting them at the entrance. result: 1 hour in line to say that the tickets for that day are sold out. when they could have counted the people at the entrance and when they had exceeded a certain number they would have at least avoided the useless queue. we returned the next day early in the morning, and managed to do the tour with the New York pass. the tour was nice but the fact that the venue was set up for a concert ruins 60% of the experience.

Madison square garden staff did great! A challenging day I am sure for them. All went smoothly. Lines moved quickly. Staff was good about checking vac cards. Once inside, staff was very friendly and helpful. Told me how to get to a beer stand quickly with minimal line. One odd thing about MSG is the skyway and bar stool seat are in front of stadium seats. I felt bad for those in those seats. Be aware when selecting seats. Oh yes … the band was pretty good. What’s up Dave!?!? Scratch this event off bucket list. What a night!!!

Went to see the Rangers for Game 6 against the Devils. Arena was clean, and the atmosphere was amazing! I was in the Lounge Club Seats (Section 306 row 2) where you have your own bathroom and consession stand, which was very convenient. Seats for that section are padded and wider, so you're comfortable for the whole event and you have more leg room. Best part was that the Rangers won!

Another of the NYC’s iconic stadiums. The MSG arena has been seen in many a movies, so no stranger. The entrance has become a bit jammed due to construction work and crowd, but once you enter the stadium and get to your seat, it’s all seamless. The stadium is huge. We had a great evening and fun time. Location is super approachable.

The ‘most famous arena in the world’ is a good time. Hideous, brutalist exterior aside (a sad legacy of the era in which it was constructed), the interior is great! I’ve been for basketball games and concerts (also voting…) and it’s always a good time, regardless of if you’re in the nosebleeds or the suites or near the floor.

What a great night of boxing!!! The staff made finding our seats SUPER EASY. Tge security staff keep everything and everyone under control. The DJ played fun music and in-between bouts got the crowd involved in different "activities". It was very, very clean! I can't wait to return for another fight!

Absolutely a dream entertainment venue. The world’s most famous arena. I have been to a lot of live sports events. The energy and atmosphere of a Knick game at MSG though is magic. Must do for a NYC visit.

There’s a reason it’s the world’s most famous arena. Came here to watch WWE Live. Amazing experience, check in was not hard, and in general everything was smooth and it was certainly a great experience all in all. It’s right next to Penn Station and, by extension, the Penn Station MTA station so getting here is easy. Wouldn’t see any issues whatsoever.

Pros: Very easy to get in and out of. Saw Mariah Carey and, out of all the other concerts I’ve been to, this felt the most organized. Cons: Food and drinks are ABSURDLY expensive. I ordered 2 vodka cranberries and a bag of popcorn and it was $99. What a total rip off! PLUS the bartender expected a $10 tip for literally taking 20 seconds to dump two things together. Spent more on food/drinks than we did on the tickets! Ruined the entire experience. Even Broadway is not that expensive!

A wonderful arena, inside and out! The surrounding area is a bit ghetto but with all the cops, especially on game nights, it's safe. The atmosphere inside during a Knicks or Rangers game is insane, you don't wanna miss out! LET'S GO RANGERS!

  • 5/5 David M. 2 years ago on Google
MSG is in a class of its own! Incredible memories are made here! Make hotel reservations ASAP and watch out for scammers. Treat the employees with respect and decency and you might get an upgrade! Maybe. Enjoy and be kind so everyone has a great time.

This was our first time at Madison Square Garden. It was a great experience to see a Knicks game at this iconic arena. There are lots of jerseys and banners in the rafters from both Knicks and Rangers. It was cool seeing the celebrity row shots during timeouts of who was at the game. Lots of food and drink options. The entry was slightly confusing, which I think may have been the result of construction. Overall a great experience.

After a few weeks working and staying in Brooklyn, we planned to treat ourselves to a once-in-a-lifetime experience seeing Billy Joel live in concert. It was amazing! We booked into the Sofitel. We were able to easily walk to Madison Square Garden. Despite never having been there before, and it being a fully sold out show with thousands of other people, getting through the crowd and to our seats was seamless. MSG really KNOWS how to handle large crowds. I was concerned that we would have an obstructed view as our seats were on the side behind the stage. No need to worry, we saw and heard everything. If you love Billy Joel, highly recommend it. The only complaint is that we asked if we could buy official merchandise following the concert. Staff said they would be open, but either they weren't or we just were not able to find the correct floor. We ended up buying tees from outside.🤷🏽‍♀️

The Knicks experience was fun, and for a Wednesday night it was a fantastic crowd. But New York, we need to talk. The Garden itself is old and outdated. It's crowded and the spaces feel small. It's time for the greatest city in the world to upgrade the world's greatest arena!

We had a brilliant time at MSG as tourists watching the Knicks, made to feel welcome and guided to our seats- which were on the back row but we had a great view of the game. A bit busy on the way out but understandable as the game had been so close and exciting.

Was there for “Opening” night New York Rangers Hockey! New seats are fantastic. The ease of checking in was fast and quick. The only downside to the event was the lack of “Cash” options. So make sure to bring your credit/debit card for all your purchases. Cashless is the new normal but I rather pay in cash so you can leave a tip.

For some of us, it was the first time at MSG and the famous venue didn’t disappoint - good logistics, comfy seats, many food and drink options, and overall it looked modern and updated.
