The location is phenomenal. The bed was comfortable. But that’s where it ends. The lobby feels like a hotel designed for tourists with tacky options for food. The rooms are fine and clean, but there is no bottled water which is standard at other hotels these days. The air/heat is a disaster. Half the time there is super warm air coming out; the other half the thermostat is on its own planet with air conditioning coming out in the middle of the winter. Lights are super hard to control and I had to wait about 5 minutes of running the shower for the water to get warm. Don’t think I’ll choose this Hyatt again.

This hotel was right next to Grand Central station which is very handy. Walking to many sites was very easy from the hotel. The rooms need a little help though. The room we had was small for 4 people. Our 4 carry-on size suit cases and shopping bags took all the room up. Bathroom was tiny and needs repairs. Ceiling paint was peeling, drain was slow, and hardly any room for toiletries. Our bath mat and hand towels were taken and never replaced, we had 3 towels for 4 people. I got extra from house keeping, but those were taken as well. I was constantly hunting down towels. No facial towels as well. The window was leaking and had condensation- we couldn't see out. It does have a really cool lobby and the fitness center is on the top floor and really nice.

A great hotel in what I'd consider to be the perfect location. It's within the Grand Central station complex for easy undercover access. That in itself is in the heart of Manhattan. There's great coffee within a 10 minute walk at Bluestone Lane on Madison. Our room was clean and spacious enough. We had one maintenance issue with the shower head sliding down and after reporting it, it was fixed within a couple of hours. Reception staff are very friendly and helped us with an early check-in. Overall a really nice experience and would stay there again. 🏨🛎️🗽

Loved my room! The pillows were so comfortable and so was the bed. The closet was huge, and was able to accommodate all my luggage. The bathroom was nice and big, and so was the room. I got a king size room. On the 27th floor. I also really loved the gym, they provide water in the gym and the equipment was top notch, please see my photos. Wonderful hotel! I also had a FedEx package overnight, and the mail room was exceptional. When FedEx skipped our stop because the queue was too long, The Hyatt employee in the mail room assured me that they would come back that same day even though FedEx said that they attempted the delivery. The Hyatt really made me feel like everything was going to be OK… and an hour later it was!

Had a great stay here with 4 of us for 4 nights. The location is great as you're able to head downstairs to access the subway without going outside, as well as being walking distance from many popular sites. The room itself was more spacious than I was expecting, with a view of the Chrysler Building, and we appreciated the large closet for storing our luggage. Staff were friendly, the room was very clean (and housekeeping services were taking place daily), and beds were very comfortable.

From the time we checked it, it was disappointing. The one king bedroom suite with pull out couch and pack and play that I requested had 2 queen beds and no couch. Instead I was charged extra for a rollaway bed. The entire hotel had 0 microwaves so if you wanted to warm up food, you couldn't there. Great trick to make you eat at the internal market or restaurant. The room had bugs like fruit flies all through it. They were smashed on ceiling in the bathroom so it was an existing problem before we checked in. We constantly called about bath cloths and they brought us hand towels to use in the shower. The reason was that no bath cloths had come in. So for 2 days we had to take showers with just soap. For $425+ plus a night there was no mini bar or any kind of bottle water. The floors were dirty. The staff I dealt with were rude and basically had a "care less" attitude when it came to the issues of our room. We didn't have the option to leave so we had to accept the room. The receptionist said she didn't have any available rooms period! I felt like she was lying. The bell hops were the best thing about the hotel because they were on their job to make sure we had transportation and our luggage moved when needed. For the price, the restaurant didn't have a variety of food. And it was $150 for buffet for me, my wife, 9 yr old son, and 2 yr old daughter. $45 for each adult and $25 for each child. It was no way we ate that much food! Probably enough for two meals. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and it need some serious improvement with the staff and amenities. And get a dam microwave! That's ridiculous!

Staffs/Service - Amazing - 10/10 Room convenience - Very poor - 1/10 - Rooms NOT SAFE FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS. Strictly not recommended for the ones with kids. Too many sharp edges/corners on all the furniture to their heights. Those were as sharp as knives. Had to spend so much time to cover all those edges with our cloths and towels to prevent my kid from terrible injuries. - I had paid for 325+ sq ft room, but the room was relatively too small. I specifically requested for some additional space, but the space was too less. - Overall very poor/worst room design/architecture/infrastructure. Let me explain one by one. - The lamp has been placed at the entrance of bathroom door, which hindered or made us hard to enter while opening the door. - Bathing space was way too less. - Hand shower model was not good. Had to stand too close to the wall to shower. And it was not fitting well in the hook as well. - Wash basin/Sink in the bathroom was too small. Water was splashing outside while using. - And there was a bad design just above the sink/wash basin. If you bend slightly down to spit/wash your face, the design above will hit your forehead. - Most importantly, no leg room at all for our right leg in the commode. Faced hard time. - Overall, rooms were not convenient at all, that too for the humongous amount that I had paid. Not at all value for money.

My go to hotel now! The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are so comfortable. We had an amazing view of Grand Central and the Vanderbilt. Plus we could see the reflection of the Chrysler building on the Vanderbilt. Everything you need is a couple blocks away (Bryant Park, Grand Central, Times Square, Rockefeller). The hotel and staff were super professional. This hotel is very fancy!! My only complaint is they charge $40+tax a day for a "destination fee", which gives you $15 a day at the hotels market, and it's suppose to give you free things and discounts around the city, however, when we went to those places like Macy's for our free samples, they had never heard of this before. Everything at the hotel market is super expensive so you could only get one item. So we should be able to decide if we want to pay the destination fee or not, because it was really a scam.

Amidst the sea of hotels, this one shines bright; a testament to their commitment to delivering a flawless experience every single time. We loved this hotel. We had actually booked a stay at a Hyatt Place and left after 1 night. We came over to the Hyatt Grand Central shortly after we checked in to our original hotel wanting to see if the rooms matched their pictures (The first hotel did not) The front desk was wonderful and allowed us to go up and look at 2 rooms to make sure they fit what we wanted. They made sure the second one was the exact room we would get. We came early the next day and were able to quickly check in. The rooms are a little outdated but were very spacious and had plenty of space to unpack. The mini fridge was nice to hold some drinks and snacks. The bathroom in our room was large enough for 2 people to get ready at the same time. The gym was well equipped and a great place to get in a workout early in the morning. The location could not be beat. We were there for the US Open and being right at Grand Central was very convenient. It made it really easy late at night to get off the subway right at your hotel. They do charge an additional nightly resort fee of $49, however $15 of that is a credit to be used in their shop. Make sure to use it each day as it does not carry over from day to day. The snacks are pricey, but you want to make sure to get your $15 worth of drinks or snacks. We would definitely stay here again.

Small room despite paying a decent amount for a 2 bed with a 4 month old baby. Bed and furniture clearly crammed into room. Super tiny bathroom with broken parts to shower head and broken wall plate. Water gathering inside of wall - HELLO BLACK MOLD. Exposing hundreds of people. You get what you pay for is inapplicable as have paid at cheaper places and had a bigger room and bathroom. Could not move the stroller inside of room. Toilet, tub and sink so close to one another that you literally touch all aspects while using restroom. Barely any elbow room. If you are less than 5ft tall, then great hotel for you. Rude individuals at the door - clearly could see baby and a stroller but couldnt be bothered to hold doors open. Why is the smallest water bottle over $8 at hotel when cheaper EVERYWHERE else. Majority are International visitors so clearly in business of taking full advantage of those that don't know any better. Absolutely shameful. Security spent time removing random individuals who sleep in lobby - should invest just as much in upkeep and proper manners - WILL NOT be returning. If you have kids, go somewhere else. Not quiet - thin walls and ceilings so neighbors upstairs are an added bonus

Toilet was leaking and had to ask for a room change. And when I tried to call the front desk for a room change, I discovered that one of the phones in the room had no cables connected to it. I guess the phone was just decoration. The corner suite that we were initially assigned to was in no sense a suite, not even a junior suite, with no partition in the room whatsoever. Just a larger room (presumably). Complementary breakfast for Globalist is disappointing to say the least, just one drink and one pastry/warm muffins with turkey/eggs, offered as a to-go from the lobby market. No fruits or vegetables, and my request to pick a cold sandwich instead was denied. Lastly, they haven't posted the stay to my Hyatt account within 72 hours of check out. This property clearly has a lot of operational issues. The only positivity was the $118 room rate that I snatched months ago, but would never return at the current rates.

Wouldn’t come back. Great location but the hotel is ‘cheap’. The rooms haven’t been renovated in ages. They charge to hold your bags. They give $15 credit for breakfast etc and any snack is $8. You leave with a sense of ‘what did i pay all this money for’ Front desk is lovely though

We booked a room for 3 people (a couple with a kid), we checked in and get into the room and see only 1 king size bed. I am called the front desk to see if it was a mistake and was told that it’s not!!! They knew we are 3 people but still booked a room that will accommodate only 2 and if we want an extra bed we must pay $45 extra per night!!!!! I tried to explained that we booked the room for 3 people to begin with so we are expecting accommodation that will be suitable for 3 people, clearly one king size will not do and I don’t want to pay the additional fee, the lady at the front desk told me to stop yelling (I wasn’t yelling) and that is my problem and she can’t help me!!! When I spoke to the manager I was told exactly the same thing, basically you are screwed, you are in NYC now with a child and you have no choice other than paying additional $45.00 per night even though you ordered the room for 3 people to begin with!!! In the middle of the night minibar in the room start making noises and we couldn’t sleep it was so noisy it was simply impossible so we call them to take it out they told us to unplug it and hangout the phone on us!!!! Horrible customer service!!! Rude staff!!!! Absolutely unacceptable behavior!!!!! I will dispute the charges with credit card and will never ever stay with them again!!!! Horrible place!!!!!

Not only was there a cockroach found in the bathroom, I woke up with bed bug bites on my legs and back. The bed didn't even have a fitted sheet on, it's was just a sheet on the mattress. Ceiling in bathrooms were peeling, a previous quest hair tie was still hanging on the towel hook, and there was even a tissue hanging from the bathroom fan. Plus, the hallways are out dated and run down. Our group continued to make due, and then service proved to be an equal representation of a poorly run hotel. While at the elite member terrace, Benjamin came up to our group with an aggressive and confronting attitude to let us know outside food or beverages weren't allowed and we had to immediately leave. A group member let him know we would happily take our beverages back to our room, that no one had previously told us that rule, and there was no need to come at us aggressively. (For context at that point we had already been there 3 hours and there was another group with food that hadn't been given the same confrontation). When we went to address the rude service downstairs at front desk service, Ricardo and Benjamin refused to give their managers name/contact information. Group member "1" addressing this went to speak with another representative to better address this rude service behavior, and group member "2" told Benjamin "you're being completely unreasonable" and Benjamin had the audacity to respond "go f*** yourself" which goes without saying is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel manager to respond to a guest. If you can't handle yourself and emotions when working in a service industry, you're not cut out for the job. Avoid this place if you can!

I was a bit worried after I booked this on a discounted website and read the reviews, but our stay was fine. Agree that the lines are long for checkin but it seems to be the standard everywhere you go now. Resort fee is bogus and unnecessary. Room was clean. Yes, some cosmetic things in the room but nothing that ruined our stay. Quiet from street noise but loud with doors closing in hallway. We were at the end of a hallway and it was much quieter than near the elevators! Great location to subway and you don’t even need to go outside. Easy walking access for so much in Manhattan.

Overall decent hotel. Would I stay again. Probably not. While it was in a great location, being interconnected with grand central station. The cons outweighed the pros. Such as the resort fee which was $39.99 plus taxes. With that money it gives you $15 at the hotels market. But why not just lower the resort fee. We are in NYC, we don’t want hotel food. We tried to check out early and ask to hold onto our bags so we could have a couple more hours and then housekeeping could get our room ready for the next guest. But we found out that it was a $3 a bag fee, which just seems crazy. We are already paying a resort fee. Parking now was a whole different story. Getting to the hotel and valeting our car was great. Trying to get our car when checking out was difficult and a long process. After waiting a while, as they only had one valet working. We walked to the Westin where our car was, which was a lot quicker than waiting.

Quite disappointing hotel, the location is top, you are really close to everything and the bed is good. However, the welcome is very cold and the staff is not understanding about your problems related to your room. We had neither fridge nor coffee maker and some non-functional electrical outlets. For a hotel that boasts of being a 5 star and for the price of $ 400 a night it's not ok. In reality it is a 3 star because the 5 stars come from customer reviews and not certified organism. You can find another hotel much better for the same price.

The lights in the room are so incredibly frustrating and there was no manual in the room to show how to fix it. There is no restaurant or room service only a small overpriced market that closes at 10. We didn’t get told what time it closed and by the time we went to use it it was too late. The front desk told us one thing and the checkout told us another. Overall the only good thing about this hotel is it’s proximity to grand central station. Do better Hyatt

Honestly, this was such a nicer hotel than I expected. The reviews were kind of mixed but we were delighted by both the quality and SIZE of the rooms (we just had a standard single king bed). The location is super central and easy to get to and I never felt unsafe in the area. Everything was clean and the staff was extremely responsive and helpful (big shoutout to the security guard at the front door, he was so sweet!) The walls are a bit thin so you can definitely hear neighbors or things outside if they're loud but that's anywhere in NYC. I think the reviews of small and noisy rooms are by people who have never experienced staying in midtown so take that with a grain of salt. We loved it here!

We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay in New York and we’re very skeptical because of the reviews. However, I am here to say we stayed here with absolutely no issues! The hotel was super nice, the staff was very friendly, & it’s in a great location. All of the staff greeted my family and I with a smile and did their best to accommodate us with whatever we needed. Our room was on the 27th floor and had two double beds. The room was very spacious and comfortable for four people. It is also walking distance to Bryant Park, Grand Central Station, & Times Square. We would stay here again.

Hello, our stay was great. The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to many things. The only downside was the restroom in our room. The shower would clog and we had to wait to shower till the water went down. We didn’t even take long showers, it would start filling up in less then 3min. Otherwise our stay was fine.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Black mold in shower, no hot water, bad smells, wall paper falling off walls. Room damaged on nearly every surface. I’ve stayed in hostels that were much nicer. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in NYC out of the 10 that I’ve been in. Way overpriced for New York. They sent me to 4 other rooms and everyone of them was worse than the first. Save your trip and avoid this place. They’ve obviously spent zero time and money keeping the place up. It’s in bad need of remodeling.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down. Perfect place to stay in Manhattan. It's within walking distance of Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, and many more places. Easily access Grand Central Station through the lobby. It was reasonably priced and the room was a bit small, but modern and clean. Perfect for a 4 nights stay. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of how to the take the subway to go to different places. Will be staying here again.

Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Room was huge for New York and loved having central air. Bed was comfortable. We had Ivonne (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) at check in and it was so nice to be greeted by a friendly face, she is wonderful. Check in took less than 2 minutes. Would highly recommend staying here and I will be back in the future.

This hotel at best deserves 3 rather than 4 stars. Pros: comfortable bed; late check-out (1:00 PM for free). Cons: In 2 out 3 days we stayed here elevators were not working, or one out of five would work; heating in our room was not working once we arrived; bathroom needs renovation (and remodeling); line for check-in was long and checking itself was very slow. In addition, room amenities are very limited for a 4 star hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The Hyatt is in a brilliant location being attached to Grand Central Station. There are loads of attractions only a short walk away. The rooms themselves are clean, tidy and quiet. You can't really hear the street outside so you can get a good nights rest. The rooms are a little rundown as it seems maintenance has been put on the back burner now. We heard a rumour the hotel will be closing next year for renovation so not a surprise the little things aren't being repaired. The service from the staff was good but you can tell they are understaffed so the queues were long for the front desk and the food court. But overall we enjoyed our stay here at the Hyatt and would consider it again if we return to New York.

We just stayed here for a holiday weekend with the family. Let me start off by saying it is not worth the great rates this holiday season. When we first arrived everything seemed normal, higher wait time checking in etc due to traveling and tourists. But checking out is a disaster. The lovely doormen mentioned we should call 30min in advance. My family along with everyone else waited 1.5-2 hours for our car. This is not at fault of the doormen or car valet but rather the short staffing. You are better off parking at another garage around the block (also recommended by the doormen). Second, the rooms have touchscreen lights. One word, disastrous. Our room kept turning on and off the lights the ENTIRE NIGHT. We slept in increments of hours, if we weren’t exhausted from our day we wouldn’t have slept at all. Lastly and most importantly, this hotel just reopened November 1,2021. They are short staffed beyond imaginable, we felt terrible for the workers as they truly are doing their best. Even worse, they tried to reopen without doormen! The Union had to fight for them meanwhile they were one of the most helpful of the staff! This was not a pleasant experience which was very disheartening given their previous reputation and our experiences with them before.

Fantastic stay here at the Hyatt Grand Central. Wonderful location, friendly staff, beautiful and clean interior. The lobby is grand and well kept. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was awesome. The staff was so accommodating and I have no complaints. One hundred percent recommend this hotel and I will be back in the future! Now for my standard COVID comments as of November 2022. Not many people are still wearing masks but this hotel is huge and very clean. I had little to no concerns throughout my stay here.

I wish I could give this hotel a better review. The lobby looked very nice. The front desk was helpful. The room was small but it worked for us. The hotel was in perfect location, it was within walking distance to Time square, Central Park and next to Grand Central station. However, I used the hotel valet parking. It was super disappointing. When I left my car outside for valet parking, it had approximately 90 miles of gas left. When I got my car back on Sunday it had 55 miles of gas left. There was also a water bottle left inside the car, the driver and passenger seats were dirty on the back, there was a piece of grass on the passenger side and the passenger seat was pushed all the way back. I spoke with the hotel and the valet parking manager. He stated that he watched footage from the garage and the vehicle wasn’t moved until I checked off on Sunday. But it doesn’t explain how the car went from approximately 90 miles of gas to 55 miles of gas. They refused to let me see the video. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

--Update-- We brought up the issue of the weed smell again to the front desk and they switched our room. The new room has a working heater and no smell. All in all, I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel. --Update-- Excellent location but unfortunately, our room smelled like weed. We stayed for 4 nights and on the third night, our bathroom smelled like weed (and the smell was eventually getting to our entire room). We called and they said they'll send someone up to check but they never did. We have a 3 year old and def hated sleeping in this smell. I expected this smell on the streets or in a cheap hotel but not in a supposedly 4 star hotel. Also, Beware of the $43/night destination fee. It includes a $15 credit for the market but everything in the market is overpriced and not worth the price. The room is fairly spacious for Manhattan and it's clean. However, there is no proper work desk in the room. The chairs in the lobby are uncomfortable to work from and if you want to use the office area, its an additional $35/person/day. So, not very ideal if you're planning to work remotely from here. The heater in the room was also not working properly. We set the heater to 77F and the room was still slightly cold (manageable but cold).

Perfect location near grand central terminal. Breakfast is top notch. $45/person for a buffet style breakfast. I still think about the French toast. Best I’ve ever had. Beautiful hotel, service was good until our last night there when we were treated poorly/discriminated against by one of the employees there. Still waiting for corporate to contact me back regarding the issue.

If you are going with your family, avoid this place at all cost. You pay the exorbitant nyc hotel charges ( base charges + city fee + resort fee) , which is upwards of 200+ $ a night. In exchange, you will be enjoy the presence of lethargic staff, dated medieval rooms, ABSENCE of all or any amenities including but not limited to basic things like water bottles, kettle etc Location helps with offsetting all the inconveniences but its fascinating that this hotel can get away with this. The hotel staff is clearly overworked (many of them are straight up tired). If you are a family I recommend looking somewhere else.

Elegant decor, attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and a prime location made my stay unforgettable. I must nonetheless note that the culinary experience fell short of expectations. The menu didn't quite meet my palate preferences. It's an area where the hotel could enhance to match the excellence found in other aspects of the stay. Either way it was a perfect blend of luxury and convenience, highly recommended for a remarkable New York stay.

We had a fantastic stay here. Very accommodating at check in, Diane at the front desk was super helpful through our stay and at check out. Everything worked, clean, in the room and had ample space for us to enjoy our 3 days here. Valet was also very prompt. Would recommend staying here.

Worst experience of my life. From checking in to a dirty room with urine still in the toilet, to the terrible customer service at the front desk with someone who refused to give me her name and was absolutely rude. Way overpriced for what you get and I will never again stay at this hotel, and will hesitate to ever book with any Hyatt again. The only person who was helpful was Lon, who almost made me change my mind about the service until I dealt with someone else who ruined the whole experience again. JUST AWFUL!!!

Patty at the front desk started our one night stay in NYC with such a positive experience, the momentum continued from there. Patty greeted us with a warm smile, and was so quick and efficient, we were checked in no time. Patty's line was moving twice as fast as the others, and it was nice to see she treated all of the guests AND her coworkers with respect and kindness while doing an awesome job paying attention to detail. When we go back to Hyatt at Grand Central, I hope to see Patty again. Thank you Patty, and thank you Hyatt at Grand Central!

Will definitely stay here again! The location was literally a 13 minute walk to Times Square and a close walk to the famous Joes pizza!! The rooms were clean every day which was a plus. I like that they have security in the front to make sure that every one has a key card which made me feel safe. And thank you for mentioning the hotel fee deposit per day when checking in. Got my deposit right back when checking out.

This Hyatt is in a perfect location to get around the city. Rooms are hit or miss, as some are great and others less so, but generally they’re always decent. Housekeeping is super friendly, and (unlike many places in the city) elevators are fast and efficient. The only downside is check in. Lines can be arduous, self check in almost never works, and calling the front desk to ask a question usually isn’t very helpful. The folks at the check in desks are very nice but have the look of an airline gate agent when a flight gets canceled. Wish they’d fix that piece of the process, and then this hotel would be great.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is convenient. The rooms are extremely noisy from constant road noise. For a tourist like me this was hard to deal with and I didn't sleep well. Also the pillowcases were rough, and our room felt very warm for the first night. The second night maintenance fixed the air and we slept better. This hotel was built over 100 years ago and it shows. This was not like the modern Hyatts: the rooms and windows are small, the shower takes a while to warm etc. I think for the price you get the good location and not much else. This was not as nice as most of the other Hyatt's I have been to, which was surprising given the cost.

We stayed at the Hyatt by Grand Central in Sept 2023. The bed was really soft and comfortable. I woke up one night thinking I was at home in my own bed! Housekeeping is great when they come but if you wake up after 10 and miss their first round, then it's a roll of the dice on whether your room gets cleaned. Luckily, they have an evening crew that will come clean if you call front desk. And the towels might come with old blood stains. The location is amazing and during the day, there's an entrance connected to Grand Central without going outdoors. I'd avoid the bar in the hotel and go to other places instead. Their cocktails are expensive and not great. On the day of leaving, they charge $4 per item to put into storage. And cash only. This is unheard of in other hotels. We were on the 24th floor and can still hear the traffic and construction.

How this hotel has been put on the list for BA holidays? The only great thing is that it's located in a great place, within walking distance to major areas, Times Square. The room was meant to be upgraded to a good view not that great. The room was outdated, required in need of a refurb for sure. The bathroom was the worst place not much space for toiletries, the shower was useless and weak had no power whatsoever, and the light bed switch was not working. Warped panelling in the bathroom. The hotel maintenance staff carried out the repairs. I was hoping that the hotel would make it special for my girlfriend's birthday as requested on holiday when booking.

Very beautiful view, you get a full view of the Manhattan skyline 🏙 . Nice place to go have a picnic, meditate, go for walk, whatever you want and if you're hungry just go hit the food trucks located alongside the street.

Room was very clean & comfortable. First night we were there they took $600 off my credit card in error. It took me 3 days and speaking to 3 different managers to get it sorted. On the Wednesday night a mouse ran past us in the bar area. Booked tickets for Broadway with the concierge in reception. Broadway went dark the night we were due to go. I am still waiting for a $300 refund. There was nothing in reception to say that the concierge worked for another company and not the hotel. I found this out after emailing a few times. Very misleading and false advertising so be careful!!!

We went to New York for a concert and stayed there for couple nights. The location was great. All the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean. I highly recommend this hotel who wants to be in center. Almost everywhere was walking distance for us

One of very best hotel in New York and probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Luxury comfortable beds and pillows. Plenty of attractions nearby. Rooms are modern, updated and one hundred percent flawlessly clean.

Such a bad experience, I never have seen 4 star hotel without mini fridge, the pillows were in deplorable shape and the mattress very uncomfortable. They charged me extra for some resort fees and $80 for valet parking and when I asked them to bring the car over it took over 1 hour, seems like was some miscommunication from the valet guy. I definitely not recommend anyone to waste there money at this hotel!

As someone who is born and raised in the city I must admit the price was definitely worth it. I wish I was able to stay for more than one night. I was beyond satisfied with the staff and services provided and when I can I will absolutely be staying here again hopefully for more than one night. Hands down money worth spent at this hotel. Definitely recommend to anyone

Great place, $$$s but you get what you pay for. Location is great, rooms and service was great as well. The lobby and the bar were the best. Would love to stay here again but this place is very heavy on the wallet

Great and friendly staff! Despite holidays and tourism so there was a long line to check in, they were very nice and had a smile on. The room was great, plenty of fast elevators, security and the main entrance. I will definitely be going back to this hotel when i visit again.

Excellent hotel, location! Everyone was friendly and nice. Grand Central Station connected to this hotel is magnificent! The room was nice and clean. Upon check-in, you get a $15 credit a day to use at their hotel convenient store. That's absolutely great! Highly recommend this place & I would definitely stay there again.

I love this hotel, the location was great, right next to grand central station. I lucked out and had a room on an upper floor, with a great view. The room was very clean and for Manhattan huge. The negatives; the staff were not that friendly, just got off a transatlantic flight it would be nice if people were a bit more helpful. Also slight bug about the room, kettle was provided but no coffee or tea bags in the room.

The Hyatt has a beautiful lobby and an excellent location. Has some nice amenities but the rooms are lacking. They have dated bathrooms and are small with no good views. They have nice electronics for the lights but that seems to be overkill considering the needs of the bathrooms. The location is awesome so if you’re looking for something close by to a lot and a cool lobby vibe then the beds are comfortable enough to make it work.

The customer service was exceptional. Did not get to stay at the hotel this year because of COVID related issues but most certainly plan to book next year. Really appreciate their understanding and cooperation

I realize the Hyatt doesn't need my help, but I did see some negative reviews and I have to refute what some people were saying. We had a wonderful experience with the staff. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Perhaps the people who claimed to have negative experiences with the staff are the sort of people who think it's acceptable to be rude and verbally abuse those in the hospitality industry and were shocked to find their behavior was not responded well to. In any case, the room was beautiful and housekeeping checked in with us about when would be convenient for them to clean our room. The food was expensive, but that's to be expected. All in all, great experience!

I actually like this hotel due to its placement. Not far from the actual city and also away from everything. I like my room they seem to clean the bedsheets everyday. One problem is the people are very loud. The person upstairs seem to be jumping and dropping stuff. Probably my luck with the room but its well managed and is able to sleep. I am just visiting so it isn't like I am living there so I'm not at the hotel a lot.

What a disappointment. Stayed in a King Suite. A/C did not work, Cold water on sink in bathroom did not work. Closet door did not close, scratches all over the floor. Some of these this were fixed, but not all. Yes, plenty of space, but not luxury. I guess I expected too much. Felt like large room at cheap hotel, not a Hyatt.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. Both times we've had air conditioner issues. We hoped the 1st time in July 2022 was an isolated incident but had the same issue when we stayed there last weekend. The room was clean and the location is fantastic. Staff was very helpful and courteous. We love the hotel but please get the A/C fixed!

Convenient location, but the service and rooms are not up to standard, very small rooms with old worn out furniture. The air vents were dirty, no coffee machine, couple lights were out. Room service is terrible, asked for couple extra body soap and shampoo but they brought us a whole packet, I don’t need them all and they won’t fit in the small shower space that you have, asked for an extra bath towel, it never showed up and had to call and request again the other day. The customer service said they couldn’t help add a guest name to the room and we have to call the third party site we booked from to have the name added, I understand the security reason but you don’t have to be mean and rude and can easily explain what steps to take.

I got a room for a single night, very nice elegant reception area, clean hallways, clean elevators. Disappointed because first my room didnt have a refrigerator, which is always needed, no hand soap in the bathroom and when i called about the fridge, i was told they were “sold out” and there wasn’t a solution for my food. I also asked if i could be provided more ice buckets and i was told they do not have extras, and call their convenience store to get some type of assistance. You would expect this possibly at 3 star hotel, which hasn’t happened to me. Definitely not what you’d expect from a Hyatt especially at Grand Central NYC.

My family and I were a little concerned due to some reviews about this hotel recently reopening, being short staffed, and long check-in/out times. Do not be alarmed. Our stay here couldn't have gone better. 2 days prior to arriving we decided to opt for early check in and our room was ready by 9:30 am when we showed up. Upon entry a doorman verifies you have a room key before entering. Very clean room and the hallways smelled sanitized. Night one we noticed our bath tub backed up. The next morning before heading out we let house keeping know and they put in a work order. By the time we came back that evening it was fixed. Calling room service for extra towels or pillows was quick and painless +/- 5 mins during a busy time. This hotel is walking distance from many local restaurants and Grand Central Terminal is literally connected to it if you would like to take the subway. Be prepared to wear a mask and show proof of vaccination while dining out around the city.

We stayed 3 nights - family of four. We needed a few extra towels, pillow, etc. Every time we called housekeeping they were very accommodating and quick. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location. Loved refrigerator in the room - easy to turn on. We will definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Grand Central Hyatt in NYC in December just before the Christmas season, and I am thrilled to share my positive experience, particularly in light of previous customer complaints of room cleanliness and safety concerns due to location. It's evident that the management has not only listened to feedback but has taken proactive steps to address and resolve concerns, resulting in my exceptional experience! One common issue highlighted by past guests was related to disturbances at the hotel entrance and noise in the lobby. Guests had commented that people who were not guests were sneaking into the lobby and harassing people, and that it was really loud where guests were trying to relax in common spaces. I am pleased to report that during my stay, this problem was virtually nonexistent. The hotel had stationed an additional concierge / security guard near the front entrance that required proof of stay. This made the common spaces and lobby much more quiet and felt safe in such a high-traffic area of the city. The rooms themselves were a testament to the hotel's commitment to improvement of. They were not only spotlessly clean but also thoughtfully designed with guest comfort in mind. My room was huge and I had space to spread out and put away everything I had packed. The beds were cozy and it was clear Hyatt Grand Central had a genuine commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience. I applaud Hyatt Grand Central for its proactive approach to addressing customer feedback. The improvements made have transformed a medicore hotel into a desirable place to stay. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers. Kudos to the entire team for turning feedback into positive action!
