Do Not Stay Here!! If I could get away with no stars, I would pick that! My sister and I stayed here because it was close to see the play "Wicked." We each got our own rooms. In my first room, the front of the dresser drawer was falling off and the toilet never flushed. Someone came up to plunge it, but he said he would have to come back upstairs to snake it. I left to go exploring. I came back and it still wasn't fixed, so I asked for another room. We went to that room and the AC wasn't working hardly at all. The thermostat said it was 65 degrees, but it was warmer than that! My sister ended up taking that room and I took hers. The room I ended up staying in, smelled damp and musty. In the very small bathroom, the wallpaper was peeling and the walls were bulging. Later on the next day, I noticed the bottom of my legs had red spots on them. Yep! Bedbugs. With all these negative reviews, I'm surprised the place is still open!! The lobby is deceiving by showing everyone it's a great place to stay, but it isn't. The only two good things about this place was the staff and it was close to everything. Other than that, Don't Stay Here!! This place needs to close!

A nice facility. It's not a palatial place. It has a not so grand lobby in which there is a place to buy snacks and another place to get morning coffee. It's probably an old building, but it's been upgraded and maintained well. The rooms are small as you would expect, but they are impeccably clean, the bed sheets, floors, bathroom, shower... And it smells good. The housekeeping service is top notch. There was a fridge in our room. The phone handset didn't work, but we were able to use the speaker. The place really tanks with management's concern for the guests. We stayed a Friday night, and at 7 a.m. we heard someone hammering. 7 a.m. on Saturday at a hotel in Times Square area. We called the front desk. The person said that there was construction but that it wasn't supposed to start until 9 a.m. The manager said he would go up there. Whether he went up there or not, I don't know. All I know is that the construction never stopped. Rude.

I’m truly not someone who ever writes negative reviews, but please read and listen to everyone else. The lobby DOES look like it would be a nice clean hotel, but as soon as you get upstairs you feel like you’re in a redone haunted warehouse or something. The walls were all chipped, old furniture, there was hair in my shower on the wall & the soap holder was all gross. It just didn’t seem like they fully clean the rooms! Luckily I was only there for one night, but I would not recommend.

They get one star because you cant write a zero star review. We checked in at about 5pm and we all wondered why it was so HOT in the lobby. 10 minutes later we were upstairs and the room was...not what we paid for. The room itself was a LOT smaller than the pictures on Expedia or their website. The bathroom was moldy. The wallpaper was peeling. The bed was uncomfortable - much more so than just "this is an uncomfortable hotel bed." And the thing that drove us from the room? It was 77 degrees. We assumed the AC was off, so we turned it on and went downstairs to see Times Square. A few hours later we returned and our room was 81 degrees. After about 15 minutes the other couple with us had already booked a room elsewhere and we were packed up and leaving. The only good thing I can say about the place is that the staff was friendly and they cancelled our booking. Literally everything else was awful. The owners are in these reviews apologizing. Maybe stop apologizing and take real pictures of your hotel. Maybe charge literally half of what you are and people won't just leave after "staying" for 3 hours. Terrible experience. I wouldn't stay here for free. I honestly wish I had taken pictures so I could post them too.

Not what is was expecting. The rooms have very dated decoration & furniture. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable though. The only thing truly bad about the experience was the breakfast. It's a grab and go breakfast with no tables to sit and eat, the food is terrible, old and dry, and the coffee was weak. Please don't get breakfast included, you'll be disappointed, and wasting money. The concierge service was really good, and location is excellent. They need to update the decor in the rooms and change that no good breakfast offerings. After that it'll be a 4 star hotel.

    1. No fridge in the room 2. No microwave in the room 3. Currently can’t sleep in the room, feels like a sauna. No ventilation at all. 4. A/C clearly not working 5. Dirtiest carpet in a hotel room I’ve ever seen. 6. Very unpleasant smell as soon as we entered the room. 7. Pretty sure I won’t stay another night here. 8. Please avoid this dump!!!

Title: Disappointing Experience Amidst a Promising Location - A Review of The Manhattan Hotel, New York Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 out of 5 stars) Introduction: My recent stay at The Manhattan Hotel in New York left me with mixed feelings. While the hotel's location offered convenience for exploring the city, the overall experience was overshadowed by issues with the room and the front desk's response to my concerns. Here's a candid review of my stay. Location: ★★★★☆ (4/5) The Manhattan Hotel's location is undeniably convenient, placing guests close to major attractions in the heart of New York City. However, it's essential to note that the area surrounding the hotel seemed to be affected by the presence of homeless individuals and drug users, which could be unsettling for some guests. Check-In Experience: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) One major downside of my stay was the late check-in time of 4 pm. Arriving earlier in the day, I found it disappointing to have half of my day wasted waiting for access to my room. A more flexible check-in policy would have been appreciated, especially for guests with early travel arrangements. Room Condition: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) My disappointment deepened upon entering the room. I was met with a broken thermostat, a dresser drawer that wouldn't close properly, and a non-functional phone. These issues significantly impacted the comfort and functionality of the room, especially for someone recovering from knee replacement surgery. Such neglect in room maintenance is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Sleep Quality: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) The uncomfortable sleep experience due to the broken thermostat made it difficult to regulate the room temperature, leading to an unpleasant night. For someone recovering from knee surgery, a restful sleep is crucial, and I feel let down that the hotel couldn't provide this basic necessity. Front Desk Response: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) When I approached the front desk to request a room change due to the issues, I was met with an unsatisfactory response. The staff claimed that I had booked through an unfamiliar website and had selected "run of the house," implying that I had no choice in the room assignment. This lack of understanding and empathy towards my concerns made the situation even more frustrating. Overall Experience: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Unfortunately, my stay at The Manhattan Hotel was marred by a series of disappointments. The promising location was overshadowed by issues with room conditions, late check-in, and an unhelpful front desk. As someone who expected a comfortable and enjoyable stay, the experience was far from satisfactory. Final Thoughts: While The Manhattan Hotel boasts a desirable location in New York City, it falls short in delivering a quality guest experience. The issues with room maintenance and the lack of responsiveness from the front desk left a lasting negative impression. If the hotel can address these concerns and improve its overall service, it has the potential to offer guests a much more pleasant and enjoyable stay in the future.

This hotel is older, and as such has some wear and tear. I subtracted a star for this — However my room was clean and I did not find anything objectionable. If you’re planning to spend most of your time in the hotel maybe you want something more updated, but if you’re only coming back to the room for the nights then this is just fine. It’s location and pricing relative to that is excellent - very short walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was always wearing masks and gloves when I saw them.

This hotel is very deceiving. Based on the pictures from their website, the hotel seems to be very reasonable for the price you're paying. However, that is not the case. The lobby is very well put together, but our room was TERRIBLE. As soon as you get off the elevator on your floor, the place looks like something out of a horror movie. The walls are dirty, the carpet is stained, and there's a smell of mold. Once we got to the room, I quickly realized why people were giving this hotel bad reviews. The wallpaper was peeling away from the wall, the furniture was damaged, and the bathroom was atrocious. There was mold on the wallpaper above the door and around the hinges. The bathtub had gouges and was squishy (not sure why). We would have switched rooms but it seems that every other room in the hotel was in the same shape. That said, I will never be returning to this hotel and will tell others to steer clear. Your money is better spent elsewhere!

Great hotel! Of course New York like any other big city is fast pace. Manhattan at the Times Square tries there best to accommodate you in anyway they can they go above and beyond to make you happy. Nice to leave in the morning for a fun site seeing trip come back to a freshly clean room. Staff is very friendly. They allow you to check your bags in early if you arrive before 3pm check in. Allison at the front desk was outstanding if she happens to be working when you arrive say high. Will definitely come back again. Please remember this hotel accommodates millions throughout the years and someone will always complain for little things. Joe & Gloria

Didn’t know what to expect. The lobby was nice. Don’t let that trick you. Our shower had a crack in the floor. When you stood on it old dirty water would come up from the crack. The shower didn’t drain properly either so I was showering in dirty water. I suppose when I paid an extra 300$ for amenities when I got there that did not include a working shower. All the lights but two were functioning (bathroom and cupboard lights). Room was very dirty in general. Floor next to my bed had some white substance on it. It would have been nice to walk bare foot in the room I was living in for the next 5 nights. When we asked for another room the receptionist wasn’t apologetic. We waited 6 hours for another room. Not impressed. The only positive of this hotel is it’s location.

This is hotel is definitely not as pictured on their website. Our original room was disgusting old and covered in dust and black mold. I had to speak to the manger who thankfully was understanding of my child’s respiratory issues and accommodated is into another room on another floor that was “cleaner” and a bit more up to date. I really appreciate her for doing that and made sure I told her how grateful I was. I didn’t want my child’s long awaited trip to NYC to be ruined by an ER visit or hospital admission. ALL the rooms should be CLEAN, MOLD FREE, and up to date. This should be the standard across the entire facility and not specific to the more expensive section. The original room resembled of what I imagine a run down Motel 6 may look like, it was gross. Our newer room had a mini fridge that didn’t close properly so our drinks didn’t stay cold and we couldn’t place anything in it. (The original room didn’t have a one). There are no microwaves in the rooms to warm up any food from the restaurants we visited. The sink was clogged and filled up with water within seconds. There are many improvements still to be made at The Manhattan at Times Square. Maybe when that happens we will be glad to try and stay with them again, but not till then or anytime soon.

The location is the best part of this hotel. After a cancelled flight home, we were forced to pick a new hotel for a couple of extra nights on NYC. Our first hotel was amazing but unfortunately was booked up. This hotel was definitely a disappointment. There are stains on almost all the carpet in the hallways and rooms. There are no blackout curtains so be prepared to wake up at sunrise if your affected by sunlight like myself. Our room was next to a housekeeping work room and they were not shy about making noise. Last, the thing that prompted me to write this review. Someone came and knocked on our door at 3 AM on our last night there. In a sleepy haze I got up and checked the peephole to find someone dressed like a hotel employee standing outside so I cautiously opened the door (in hindsight, a terrible idea). As soon as I opened the door, he just said, “Oh sorry” and walked off. I mentioned this event to the front desk the next morning hoping to prevent some potential security issue and all they said was, “It was probably one of the managers.” They didn’t even give a reason as to why a manager would be knocking on my door at 3AM. Overall, very disappointed. I would avoid staying here if possible and there are better hotels with the same or better room rates.

This place is all about location and that's it. The rooms are run down and pretty horrible. Don't trust the facade from when you walk in to the main lobby area. Once you go up the elevator and walk to whatever floor your room is on you will notice ripped up dirty carpet disgusting paint bad smell. The air conditioning system did not work in our room. We asked to be moved to another room but they said they would send maintenance up to check on it. No one ever came up to check on anything. We dealt with it and still had a great night in times square. The location is excellent. The service for the parking and Lobby was average at best. I definitely would not stay here ever again. Take a look a couple blocks down within walking distance and find yourself a better hotel for the money

At first, having read reviews I had my fair share of concerns. The hotel is indeed relatively old, with carpet-lined floors and older furniture and is not entirely soundproof. However the cleaning service was -to say the least- decent, and everything functioned properly. Daily room service, found everything neat and cleaned up every time. The staff was kind and helpful at all times, when finding taxis p.ex. The internet connection was a 7/10, strong but sometimes needed logging in again, did not pose too much of an issue. The hotel offers breakfast vouchers, though they include specific items (1 piece of fruit, 1 pastry, 1 beverage). What I disliked was the absence of a dedicated seating area for breakfast. There were only a couple of couches in the lobby. The location is indeed great, close to the subway, and many central attractions and this is mainly the asset reflected on the price.

I stayed at this hotel in August, and I booked a premium room in June on the top floor. I didn't look at the reviews until after I booked, I assumed it was a good hotel since it was in a good location. I called to confirm that I received my premium room with a good view of time square, as listed in the booking info. The day my friend and I went to our hotel room, we had exactly what I asked for, but I think it was only because I called to confirm the room MATCHED the details of what I paid for. The room still had a few issues, tearing wall paint, outlets didn't work, had to call in the a/c. I honestly think they make the a/cs not work on purpose just to save $ because they fixed it in a few min and they barely did anything to it. My friend and I stayed for 3 nights and we were out ALL day, and we were only in the hotel to sleep. I believe it was a great location and we didn't go to NYC to stay in the hotel and relax. If you're traveling with children or anyone with health issues, you may not want to stay here if you want time to cool off and relax. If you're full of energy and adventurous and planning to be gone all day, then maybe this is the place for you. Yes, I did pay more for a better room, but I don't believe other people should get poor quality rooms just because they didn't pay more $. Customers are getting ripped off in that aspect. We were in a very convenient location, but walking around the floor of the top floor we were at, we dubbed the hotel - Hotel Transylvania because it looked so scary and old

0 stars. My wife and I booked this hotel based on its ratings and proximity to an event we need to be at for tomorrow. We went on the website and it looked fine so we booked it. We just needed a spot to crash after a long day in the city. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. We typically do not complain - understanding that the world has gone through many changes during the last past few years. But there are far too many things going wrong here to not warn others. Their room key car reader is down - so a staff member - hardworking, nice - has to use their key to let you into your room. Anytime you leave. The air conditioning is not working. We have it set at 62 right now are are lucky if it’s 72 in this room. The room is tinier and older than it appears online. Which wouldn’t bother us if it was clean. But we had to call housekeeping and the front desk (who didn’t pick up) because one of the beds had brown stains on the sheets. The bathroom was also not clean, moldy, and had hair all over it. Typically, upon seeing all of this - we would leave. But, we are exhausted and just need to sleep before an early morning. Housekeeping put new sheets on and cleaned our room. Every staff member has been gracious and very nice. But, not a place to stay if you’re looking for a clean place to relax for the night. We will talk with management In the morning.

This hotel is supposed to be a 4* hotel. This is just walking distance from Time square right out of the entrance; you can see the Time square. Has a decent lobby. But once I entered the room, I was so disappointed. 1. Strained carpet with areas that were bleached and those signs showing 2. No Phone 3. Bathroom tub does not drain properly 4. Bathroom floor, and wallpapers, were ancient and strained 5. Heater/AC was so outdated, and the bottom areas were broken I have seen better 2* Motels in my life than this one. Above all, I went and complained to the front desk while I was going out, they offered to change the room, and I said since I am going out, hold a new room, and once I come back, I can change this room. They said they could not hold another room until I got out of this because they would be selling this to someone else. Even after I complained and told them about all this, they were still trying to sell this rather than fixing this. I took a pic of all the items I described. But I do not see a way to attach them here. So if you have the option to stay away from this motel (not a 4* hotel) Response to the owner reply I see that you keep apologizing for all negative comments but as people are complaining you guys do not fix that. The quality of the room did not go bad overnight. These have been happing for longtime and so many people complaining about it, your staff know it well too and you do not act to fix it. Instead you apologize which causes loss of money and have a bad experience for the people who stay there. Why would we even want to consider staying when your response do not have any steps or plans to fix the quality of the hotel. For all potential customers Stay away, Stay away, Stay away. You have been warned by so many people.

DO NOT STAY HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT! Worst experience ever. This hotel makes Motel 6 look like a 5 star hotel. We had booked a room accessible for handicap and they didn't have the room we booked. They left us without a room for what seemed like 2 hours just to move us to a king bed room (we booked or 2 queen beds). It was very dirty, there was feces in the shower chair, there was mold in the sink, no heater, they brought us a cot that had the wires almost poking out, they changed the cot just to bring another one that was just a tiny bit better. We complained since they one, the front desk people specifically the latina older lady with super short hair (probably about 65 yrs old) and one of the darker skin woman are very very rude. Those women can't apologize or say sorry let help you, they cut you off when you are speaking and raise their voice, they need to go take customer service classes. The hotel needs a deep clean, is very dirty everywhere and your breakfast will cost you an arm and a leg. They only offer coffee or water, fruit or bottled juice, 1 oatmeal cup or a piece of bread or cupcake or yogurt. I'm telling you, you will regret it. I have never stayed in a hotel this horrible overall. Putting 1 star as a review is too much.

DO NOT GO HERE! This hotel is absolutely terrible. Absolutely appalling customer service from the outset. When we got to our room, the bathroom was covered in mould and the bathtub had filthy muddy stains. There was also no air conditioning. We then moved to a different room after informing the manager. There was no air conditioning in this room and it was extremely stuffy and unbearable. We contacted the manager who called the engineer. The engineer came to assess the situation, however his response was "hotels in New York do not have air conditioning during the Winter", which is a completely ridiculous and false statement to make. I responded that I understood it was Winter, but people adapt to differing climates differently, so the option of both heating and air conditioning should always be available to customers. I then informed him that I have stayed in New York before during the Winter, and the statement he made was absolutely not the case". He then became verbally aggressive and refused to hear any further reasoning. I informed the hotel manager yet again of this aggressive manner from the engineer but also of the inadequacy we have been left with with the current room, so she moved us to our third room. Once again, it was incredibly hot in that room and there was absolutely no air conditioning, and no way to turn down the heating. The hotel manager (Natasha Jones) apologised for this and agreed that the trust is lost between us and the hotel after our patience of moving rooms three times, therefore stated that she would support our request to receive a full refund. However, as I booked via Last Minute travel agent, the manager said that I would have to go through them to receive a refund, but she agreed that she could not see why we wouldn't obtain the refund as once Last Minute get in contact with her, she will support us in this. Needless to say, it has now been almost 2 months of back and forth emails with Last Minute before they received a response from the hotel and Natasha Jones - they have refused to provide a refund and denied all accountability. In addition to that, they took the 5 nights facility fee even though we did not stay more than an hour at that hotel! Absolutely despicable. Save yourself the hassle; if you want a nice trip in a nice hotel, DO NOT GO HERE!

This was my first time staying at the Manhattan. We arrived at 6:30pm and waited in line to check in. We were not greeted upon entering the hotel or at the check in desk. Even though check in time is at 4pm, our room was not available. We were not given any keys to our room and told to return at a later time. We returned around 9:30pm and because we could not check in at the designated check in time had to wait another 15 minutes in line. At this point my daughter was tired and cried the entire time like full on tantrum with nothing to be done but wait. Upon reaching the desk, the employee did not greet me. She had an Apple headphone in one ear hidden by her hair and I felt somewhat disregarded. We received our keys and made it to the room except the door wouldn’t open with the keys. I waited for my husband to arrive to sit with our daughter outside the room because she wouldn’t move another muscle and made my way back downstairs to once again stand in line. I received a new set of keys. I made it back upstairs and once again the keys did not work. I waited in line for the third time and after making it to the desk he called someone to fix the door. We waited for someone to finally let us into our room and fix the door key which took some time. Upon entering the room, there was an obvious constant loud beeping noise coming from the safe. We informed the person fixing the door and they had to send someone up to now fix the safe. At this point, we cannot undress and get ready for bed since we are still waiting for the second thing to be fixed. The guy who opened the safe found a bunch of cash in different currencies and an Italian detective badge. Not sure who leaves that much in a safe, but it definitely added to the vibe of the whole experience. The room itself was larger than some ie there was some space between the beds, but really felt like a motel room in appearance and cleanliness. The tub was degraded away by the drain and I definitely would not have showered in there. The AC did not work in the room or the lobby as you could tell upon entering the hotel by the number of fans by the bell hop station. Getting ready in the morning I was sweating putting makeup on before even hitting the streets. Because we were only staying one night, it felt as though we were put in a worse room. The employees I’m sure are overworked and understaffed. Apart from the location within Times Square and theater district, it was a real inconvenience staying at the Manhattan. Unfortunately, we do not plan to stay here again.

This hotel left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the location was amazing and The beds were clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff were lovely and friendly too. On the other hand, we waited nearly 2 hours in line to check in when we arrived. When we got to the desk the gentleman at the desk told us they could not find our reservation. After another 15 minutes or so they finally found our reservation and we got our room keys. Upon getting to the room there was an old, musty smell. The bathroom had mold on the floors and walls, and the ceiling was peeling and water damaged. Again, the bathroom had a weird, musty smell. I suppose, given the low price and fantastic location you get what you pay for in this case! I definitely wouldn’t come back here, but at the same time it didn’t totally ruin our experience of New York.

I don't get the bad reviews, but maybe I had the best room somehow? It was a standard room with a queen bed, and it surpassed expectations. Windows on two sides with blackout curtains that worked. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Everything was clean and, while not brand new, everything was in good shape. All employees were friendly and helpful. I was sorry to leave and would definitely stay there again.

Room was kinda small but I didn’t care about that. At least it was clean. Nothing special in the room or bathroom but I did love the lobby. Very good service from the front desk guy to the housekeeping lady to the sweetheart barista. Everyone was great at communicating and getting us everything we needed in a timely fashion. The location of the hotel is perfect. Plenty to do within a walking distance and of course a very easy-to-use train. 10/10 would recommend.

We had issues checking in. This trip was a gift for my daughter and I and there was an issue with the booking card since I didn't have the card with me. The first clerk said I could pay for the room myself or cancel it. Basically go pound sand. We made some calls to see if we could get it fixed and talked to a different clerk and he said it was an easy fix just a couple of forms emailed back and forth with the card holder. On the street with one simple solution with another... Poor training and zero empathy. That being said... The room was was gross. There was mold in the shower and a left over moldy wash cloth on the shower rail. The Ac didn't work properly the wallpaper was peeling and I am not entirely sure that the sheets were clean. We also only got 1 voucher for 2 people for bad coffee and an apple. We won't be doing it again. I am sure this will be getting the same form letter that everyone else received and nothing will be done about it but I hope it helps someone.

We stayed at this hotel for our vacation, the lobby was beautiful and made us think it was like that throughout the entire hotel. It was NOT, the hallways and rooms gave project vibes but we were still willing to give it a chance. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room, you can get one for a extra price which is let’s be honest GHETTO. I paid more than enough for the room and that’s crazy the room doesn’t come with the basic things. Fast forward to us going out and returning not able to get into our room. Now this is about 1-2 in the morning so there’s only 1 person at the front desk at the time checking in a large party. In the cut by the lil store we see a man later to find out he’s a manager name Joseph very very VERY RUDE!!!!!! He was mean, condescending, and obviously bother by us asking for help. Apparently there keys are very sensitive to becoming demagnetized, and had no problem speaking to us like children to the point we had to let him know like whoa whoa chill out it was a harmless mistake and not that deep. He give us the keys and they’re still not working so we go back downstairs and Joseph offered us no solution non what so ever. The other guy was done and sent the security guy up, apparently this same room was giving people the same problem the prior week. We got in thanks to another staff member, the next day we go down to get new keys. They don’t work so it’s still early so we was able to get moved to another room thanks to someone else. Honestly they really should just gut the entire hotel out and redo them and Joseph is the problem he’s rude, impatient, and all around not a people person. I wouldn’t recommend nobody stay here because even though the rest of the staff is great that one person sours the bunch.

Pros: Location Ability to store luggage before room was ready. Porter/bellhop was friendly. Elevators were fast, albeit usually crowded especially during checkout time OK-sized room. Cons: Room was pretty gross. AC was loud and rattly. Shower had a flimsy plastic tub and there was no conditioner. The blinds were not sufficient to block out a billboard for the Fboy Island reality TV show across the street so there was constant flickering light. A lot of street noise even with the window closed. The deadbolt on the door didn't work, but there was a typical latch lock. The doors do not block any sound, so we had to listen to a soccer team hanging out in the hallway for half an hour. They also initially tried to give us 2 beds when our reservation was for one. The bed we got was fine at least. We booked through a 3rd party, and the receptionist told us there was an additional $40 "hotel fee" when we checked in. No fridge in room, and had to ride the elevator down 8 floors to get ice. No breakfast provided, but you can buy stuff in the lobby. Prepare to listen to at least 20 minutes of ringing if you try to call the front desk. Glad we stayed here only one night. Thankfully the location means you shouldn't have to actually spend much time here. Bring earplugs/a sleep mask.

I don't understand the bad reviews of this place. We almost canceled our reservation because of some of the reviews we read. I'm glad we didn't. The rooms are ABSOLUTELY fine. Yes, they're dated, but they're clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive. We asked the bellhop for towels because the front desk was busy- and even though it's not his job, he said he'd take care of it. And the towels arrived at our room before I even finished changing from our night out. Seriously. I don't know what the problem is with other people. If you want to stay at a fancy place, go stay at a fancy place. But if you want something clean, comfortable, and conveniently located (that won't break your budget!), you can't go wrong here.

Stayed for an evening at this hotel and we got to say, the absolute worst hotel we've stayed this far. Can't believe I have to write a review because of how disappointing this hotel is. It took almost an hour in order to get a room / check-in upon arriving. A room that was directly next to the elevator with a loud motor / mechanical noise and also with the heating unit not working. Receptionist kindly sent someone up to fix the problems promptly and an engineer to investigate the noise. We figured it was probably the ongoing construction this hotel was going through. After a few hours, the noise had not stop and it was extremely loud. Tried to show the manager the recording of the noise but he flat out refused to listen because it was a waste of his time. The engineer had mentioned this issue to the Receptionist / Manager and we had requested a new room in which took over another hour to get waiting in the lobby. Upon relocating to the next unit, the room was extremely cold with the heater broken. Mechanic was sent up, told us we would have to relocate as the room was super cold and he couldn't fix the heater... Called the Receptionist again to relocate and it took over 30 more minutes waiting in the lobby for a room because they were "overbooked." At this point, the current shift manager and a different Receptionist were giving us an attitude as if these problems were our fault. As if we were just looking for reasons to cause problems. After dealing with these problems for over (3) hours straight, the other Receptionist tried to convince us at midnight, to call our booking agency and to relocate us to a different hotel. We are just trying to get some rest... They also still had the audacity to charge us on our CC we provided for deposit on file without explaining to us what it was for. Oh well. Overall, terrible experience and a huge let down. Thank you to the one Receptionist we spoke with while calling the lobby from our rooms who seemingly felt bad for us and took care of us the best she could.

The lobby is gorgeous! Our room was comfy, nice and clean. Great views of the city. However I did notice some mold/mildew spots on the ceiling above the shower. Not really bad, but enough to notice even without my glasses. The hotel itself is very clean so I think it may be from moisture lingering after showers, not from the hotel being dirty or having leaks. but it should be taken care of. Also our bathtub liner was cracked on the floor of the tub, and there were no grips so the shower was very slippery. Could have been just the one room, as I only stayed once. But that’s my experience.

My biggest complaint is the lack of air conditioning, arrived Saturday and apparently the air conditioning had been broken since Wednesday. I think they should have informed their customers upon checking, but they didn't. The only way to "cool" the room was by opening the window, but when you have kids staying with you in the room this is not ideal because it is unsafe... But we did try it, and K keeping the window open did absolutely nothing to the temperature of the room.... It was still extremely hot. Don't get me wrong, the location is amazing, but that's about the only positive of this "hotel". The rooms are outdated, the TV remote did not work, it needs some major renovations. this place shouldn't be called a " hotel ", as it's more like a very old and outdated motel. DO NOT STAY HERE! , Spend a little bit extra money on better lodging to cover for the needs you might have, like air conditioning during hot days in NYC.

No ac and our room was changed ac in New room lasted a day. We were told it because of body heat. Rooms were so run down, rust, peeling wallpaper, mold, and old furniture. The dresser drawers fell apart while trying to use it. They gave us 4 fans that were loud as hell, so we could sleep without sweating. Only 2 floors in this hotel were remodeled, and of course they cost more. We asked to be moved to a nicer floor but were told it's booked, but a lady on my floor had the same issue with ac, and was moved to a nicer room. They did however take 240.00 off my bill for the inconvenience, but when you're on vacation and pay a lot of money to be there you want to be comfortable. Never again. You're better off going to the Sheraton right across the street.

*PLEASE READ* I normally do not take time out of my day to complain but I believe people deserve to know what they’re getting into before booking a room here. My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and wanted to stay at an affordable place near Times Square. The pictures on Google are extremely deceiving. THIS IS NOT A SANITARY HOTEL. The carpet is grimy and you can tell it has not been cleaned in years. The cleanest part about the room were the bed sheets and towels, if that. We booked a room with two beds. One of the beds, was broken. Thankfully, we are a couple and only really needed one bed. The water in the shower took 35 minutes to warm up. The telephone in the room did not work and they did not pick up when we called with our phones. So if he had to complain about something, we’d have to go all the way downstairs. The staff was kind, this review does not reflect their customer service. However the hotel itself is horrible. The walls in the whole room were peeling, and there we dirty marks all around the room. There were mysterious stains everywhere, and the tub did not drain. The walls were very thin. I could hear what the guests in the room next to me were saying, all night. Please, do yourself a favor and do not stay here. As you can see, they have countless of negative reviews. And management will have responses as “We are disappointed you did not enjoy your stay.” But nothing changes. It’s BS. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS AS I DID NOT & I REGRET IT.

Booked this on Priceline, guaranteed a 4 star hotel. The lobby was nice. The staff were great. The hotel, excluding the executive level (floor 18) is a one star, at best. When we returned from a night of exploring we got into our bed and found a cockroach, on the bed. Needless to say we were mortified. The staff were very polite about it, almost like it’s a common occurrence and upgraded us to an executive level room. When we walked out of the elevator onto the executive floor we were pleasantly surprised, it is all brand new, rooms were excellent, no cockroaches, large shower, and nice bathroom. If you must book here upgrade to the executive level. Pictures included of our original hallway and the executive floor hallway.

Once we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the location and proximity to Central Park, Times Square, and public transportation. But that is the only positive comment that I have about the hotel. The staff was friendly when we were checking in. I booked the Family Suite, 1 King Bed with Sofa bed, and whomever they have taken the pictures, I hope they received a large amount as those pictures did not match the room we received. The room was very dated, the hotel room phone did not work, and there were no outlets in the room to charge your devices, well they had outlets located in the long hallway before you get the room, and not sure who want to charge their phones in the hallway and sit on the floor. We purchased an extension cord to charge our phones. The refrigerator and microwave were located on the floor. We had to unplug the floor lamp for the microwave to work. The condition of the room was unbelievable, the balcony was falling apart, and the water would not get hot. The room next to us had their balcony light on, and when I went downstairs to see if the room was empty and, if so could, we had someone turn the light off as the light was shining directly into my face and the room. I tried the front desk, but their phones do not ring at the front desk. Once I spoke with someone, I was first told I was to close the curtain. The security did come up and was able to turn the light off. While speaking with the front desk I witnessed the male coworker call the female coworker a B**** because she was in the middle of assisting myself and another guest. How disrespectful!!!

PLEASE BE ADVISED... this was hands down THE WORSE hotel I've ever stayed in. If I'd driven in and had now flown, we probably would have been more comfortable in our car! This hotel is disgusting!! The only good thing was the location and proximity to Times Square. The rooms were filthy and smelled. The mattresses were overly worn out and since there were no bed skirts, the torn, tattered and dirty box springs were exposed. The walls were dirty and moldy. The curtains were dingy. The carpet was FILTHY and creased throughout the building. The tub didn't drain, therefore there was standing water when we showered. The lobby had a stitch and every floor in the building seemed to be equally as bad. The only area that seemed to get a little attention was the front lobby, but again it smelled horrible. We found ourselves trying to stay out as much and as long as possible, to avoid being in the room. I literally felt like I was being robbed after paying to stay in these deplorable conditions. Please do your homework and read the reviews before you book here. This taught me a valuable lesson.

Hotel needs serious renovation. Seems like they prioritized making the lobby look modern but as soon as you arrive your floor, it looks like you are time traveling back to the 90’s. 1. Carpet needs to be replaced and if they are trying to maintain it, they are not doing a good job in deep cleaning. All corners are clearly dusty and moldy. 2. Walls and Furnitures are worn out. 3. CR amenities are broken. 4. Receptionists are not as hospitable. 5. Strict on hotel deposit which I would understand at first. But based on my description above, there is nothing really to be taken out of this cheapskate hotel. Why would they even bother on hotel deposits? Other 4 and 5 star hotels do not even require. 6. Service is bad. Requests come in late or never come. 7. Coffee lids are used! See photo for reference. Also, coffee filter was not cleaned. Location is the only highlight in which they are obviously taking advantage of without thinking of their customer’s overall experience. Obviously they are hungry for money that they do not even care spending on renovations and training staff. Their target market are new customers who are fooled by the hotel photos and address. Hospitality and Care are not in the dictionary.

Perfect spot. Beautiful and big hotel. The suite room is awesome big and feel like I'm back into New York apartment. Feel like back home. Very friendly in the hotel, precautions thru pandemic. Our suite room is huge and just right accommodation for us here. I have a view thru windows from my 17 floor we are in. Love it and enjoy it here.

My friends and I had this hotel booked for over a month and had already fully paid for everything. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were immediately turned away because we were all 19 or 20. We were all under the impression that we only needed to be 18 to book the hotel room and had already fully paid and booked the room. The age requirement of 21 was never mentioned while booking the room. We should not have been able to reserve and pay for the room if we did not meet the requirements. Communication with the front staff and the manager was terrible, as they would not listen to anything we had to say. I understand following the policy, but there was no care for what we had to say and no help was offered what so all. My friends and I were all basically kicked out of the hotel and forced to go back out on the streets of New York with all of our luggage and nowhere to go. They at least told us we would get a refund. However, that was months ago and we are STILL WAITING. The communication regarding the refund has also been terrible and very unhelpful.

Upon entering the hotel, the staff are really helpful and kind. I would definitely say they could really use renovations in the rooms. Bathroom mat needs to be washed thoroughly and changed between each guest stay in my opinion. Not really sure how often the shower heads are removed and cleaned but that could definitely help as well. Overall nice hotel, just needs a few things as I’ve stated !

Although this hotel was in a great location and from the outside, it looked beautiful as well as lobby, the room we stayed was very outdated. The furniture was old that I have seen better furniture on the side of the road. We had a beautiful view of 7th Avenue but unfortunately we couldn’t see it because the window was so dirty. The TV stopped working . The wallpaper on the walls was peeling, and there was pen marks all over the walls. The areas that were not wallpapered needed a paint job. The sink had no stopper and the tub tiles were black in some places. The tub had two bottles of pure shampoo and conditioner but unfortunately they were empty.. I spend $400 for this room and was very disappointed with it. Added after the reply from manager--After reading the reviews from other clients that stayed in your hotel, I doubt that you will be doing any repairs. If you were truthful- maybe there wouldn't be so many bad reviews with the hotel. If improvements would have been made before my visit, I would have raved about this hotel. I feel horrible that I spent the amount of money for this room that stated it was a five star when really it was not even a one star hotel!

Location wise the hotel is great. However, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The lobby interior will throw you off on how nice it is but once you get to your room, it is NOT what you would think it is. The rooms don’t appear as they show them online. The bathrooms aren’t clean, and falling apart. I truly believe that if this hotel wants to keep its business, they highly need to reconstruct their rooms and make them more pleasing for all guests. This includes their room card keys. This was the worst experience we’ve encountered.

I was going with the worst expectations because of the reviews I read. I stayed here for 2 weeks. The place is super well located, you can walk almost everywhere from here. They have a little shop inside the lobby for drinks and snacks but they’re expensive. Room are tiny but they’re clean when you get the room and they smell a little old but I’m super sensitive to smells and it wasn’t the worst thing. My AC worked which is a huge thing I was scared about, but they don’t have a mini fridge. The service was not terrible but it’s not the best. I stayed for two weeks and they changed towels and made the bed every day but the bathroom didn’t get clean not even once. Outlet was so far from the bed but I brought a extension cord. Elevator gets full and takes for ever that’s for sure but it didn’t annoy me. I just left a little before time. Anyone can walk during the day to the elevator and they don’t even check if they have a key which it isn’t the safest but ironically if your order a delivery they can’t go up. I ordered a delivery once and they didn’t let it go up and someone stole it by the time I came down. Overall it’s a decent hotel for the price… it’s not an amazing option but I could probably stay again if I was going tight on money or staying for many days.

Despite the glossy advertisements that had piqued my interest, the reality was far from what was promised. The room I was allocated was noticeably outdated and noisy, with an air-conditioning unit that emitted a deafening racket and eventually stopped working. The thin walls and our room's proximity to the elevators made for constant disturbances. Cleanliness was a serious concern, as dust seemed to have taken over the room, and the bathroom's leaking shower was frustrating. To make matters worse, the attempts at electrical repairs were both unsightly and potentially hazardous. The "breakfast included" offering turned out to be a minimalistic affair, with just one drink, one pastry, and a piece of fruit packed to go. If you're contemplating a stay at this hotel, I'd advise you to prepare for a far-from-ideal experience and lower your expectations accordingly.

DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!! Checked in early on Day 1 that was a plus as we had early flights--that was the only positive of our 5 nights there. Got keys went up to the room, immediately went back down to the desk and asked for another room. The first room was decrepit (wallpaper peeling off the wall, ceiling peeling off, hair in the bathtub and on both beds, literally disgusting). Immediately I was aware that this was not as advertised. Went to the second room and it was not as run down but not much better (there was a dried contact lens on the bathroom counter top). The air conditioning/thermostat didn't work and we had to call for repair on that but this didn't happen until later in the trip. There were 4 of us in the room and not one time during the stay were we given 4 bath cloths and towels without asking. Housekeeping would even come into the room, make the beds and leave the used bath cloths but not replace them with clean ones. So annoying. AND calling the front desk didn't matter because they wouldn't answer the phone anyway. We literally had to chase down housekeepers in the hallways to get bath cloths. WHILE there the elevators went out and we were made to enter the hotel from the side alley and walk up 21 flights of stairs to get to our room. Up and down for days until 1 elevator out of 3 was repaired. This is how we found out the AC didn't work because we were so dang hot after walking up a billion steps. Then we had to wait in line to ride up the one working elevator, which by the way they were manually controlling so if you were waiting to go down you had to wait until everyone from the bottom had been picked up and dropped off and then they would make stops on the way down. I emailed 3 times and left a phone message asking for refunds (supposedly per the front desk I was getting some money back which has yet to be applied to my credit card). No one has replied to my emails or called me back. All I can say is this place is old and run down and falsely portrayed on the website. Since they don't show the old, roach motel rooms like I saw while I was there folks will be just like I was when they walk in--SHOCKED. Definitely the worst part of my trip to NYC was The Manhattan Times Square. 10/10 would not recommend.

Fair... I've stayed at better places. Everything in all the other reviews are 95% accurate. Just take your money and go somewhere else. Free parking is a good deal with that package, but they park the car for you. The hotel really needs to be update majorly. With what they are charging... things can be fixed/replaced in the rooms I'm sure. Location is perfect, everything else is not. I doubted myself several times about coming to this hotel and I should have went with my gut and stayed somewhere else. Only reason I chose this place was due to the location and the Free Parking offer

To start with the few positives, this is a great location at a really good price per night, BUT the inside of the hotel including the rooms look run down. It almost felt like a cheap motel and there was no mini fridge or microwave so you’ll be going out to eat at McDonald’s a lot since it’s across the street. There's a coffee maker with no pot. BUT the worse was that THERE WAS NO SOAP AND THE TOWELS WERE OLD. This is NOT even recommended for a quick stay. I should get my money refunded. Of course, I changed hotels.

The worst Hotel in Time Square area. The rooms are very dirty, and there’s a bad smell. it’s impossible to take a shower in the room. The hotel doesn’t have a ventilation system. They take money for the parking and can say that you didn’t pay it at all. It seems that managers do not know what is service. We were trying to explain to manager in polite way but she was very rude. I feel that before she worked at motels. Don’t spend your time and money to stay with them.

Good location for visiting nearby attractions. Good price. Paid a little extra for a high floor room. Very basic amenities with dated, aging room. No frills but adequate. Staff aren't going above and beyond but they do the job. There's nothing special about this hotel. It was good for one night. If staying longer, I'd stay at a nicer place but for short stays I'd stay there again.

Great location & quite. Falls short of clean. Bathroom floor covered with long dark hair. Garbage not emptied, toiletries 1/2 empty & not replenished for the next day. Staff not interested when I mentioned it, getting literally nothing for the $40 per night resort fee. It should be referred to as an extortion fee. I will not recommend this hotel to even my worse enemy.

Checked into the hotel and go our room— go up to said room and someone was in it. Go back down to front desk and get a new room. Finally get to right room and it is NOTHING like the pictures on the internet. The walls had veins in them, the tub was dry rotting. There were absolutely no available outlets. The air conditioner didn’t work, blazing hot the entire trip. I think the Motel 6 would have been nicer. Lastly, there was a big group of us. One of the bell hops said the hotel could get a taxi for us. Well, they lied to the poor taxi driver saying there was only 6 of us when there was 7, meaning someone had to sit on the floor of this car for the hour drive to the airport. Then they told us the driver takes cash AND card. The driver drops us off at the airport and demands strictly cash. Well, none of us had cash so we had to scrounge around for cash. Do yourself a favor and pay more $ to stay somewhere nicer. Worth every penny.

The hotel location for the price was fantastic! The room was more spacious than normal for a NYC hotel room. The front desk knew little about their hotel, only some halls are renovated, the cleanliness is supper, and the responsiveness from the front desk for basic needs like pillows and towels that aren't in your room is quite slow. Elevators are slow, too. Despite all that - it was not enough to deter me and I would stay there again.

I originally gave this hotel one star a couple weeks ago, but I'm changing it to 5 stars now. I ended up staying here again because this hotel is closer to where I have business meetings than the Hilton or Hyatt. Although the rooms need major repairs, the beds are extremely clean and I sleep better in this hotel than I do at home. The rooms have really good energy and the guests are also friendly. Guests at the Hilton don't talk to each other, but I find the guests at The Manhattan say good morning to each other on the elevators and are just more friendlier. If they can repair rooms on at least 5 floors, this hotel could be one of New York's best. Hope to be able to book their luxury suite next month.

Ideal for someone who is only planning on using the hotel for sleeping, and doesn’t plan to spend much more time there. The location is central and right on Times Square, well connected to the rest of NYC via subway. Lobby staff are polite and helpful. The lobby is somewhat deceptively elegant, as the room itself was very dated and showing very visible damage and in need of redecorating. Considering the price and location, I can’t really complain but please be aware before booking.

Fantastic location HOWEVER…..once you get passed the lobby the hotel is VERY dated. Carpets throughout had stains. Elevators were also stained and (1) of them was out of order the majority of our stay. The beds were rock hard and extremely old, they squeaked anytime you moved. Housekeeping started promptly at 7am each morning so forget about sleeping in. The rooms were clean but extremely dated with no outlets for charging and the ones we could find room in were falling out of the walls. So if you’re looking for location this is a great place. Comfort…..not so much.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location; the lobby is lovely, but don't let that fool you; the rooms are ugly with strange things on the walls and the bathroom lacks even toothpaste. The shampoo bottle was already used, the coffee maker didn't function, and it was difficult to unlock the hotel door. However, the breakfast bar employee was quite kind and we had amusing small conversation, so at least we had a place to rest our heads at night. Wouldn’t recommend or go again.

We were informed that the hotel was about to receive an update. Would definitely stay there again

This single handedly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The first room I got was next to the stair well and had been kicked in before. I requested a new room and the new room had a broken AC. I had a conference across the street and couldn't get a room there or I would have left and stayed there. During my stay a maid stole something out of my room. And that also happened to someone else I met at the conference. Straight up, this is the worst hotel I've ever been at. The management weren't good at all. I never take the time to write a review unless the service is really good. This is the first time that I write a negative review because the service was really that bad. I rescheduled my flight and left early. I could complain about how bad the beds were, but I feel it's more important to explain the other things. I've had not good beds before at other places. But the service and overall experience is completely unacceptable. If you're from a foreign country, I apologize. My country is not like this hotel. Please visit Texas or somewhere else.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2023 for a whole week. We thought the hotel was bad because of the reviews but we were surprised of how much we loved it. The room is clean and didn’t smell bad. There is TV with cable. We had a great view and was not loud at all. The housekeeping was great. I would just walk out my room and ask for towels or sheets. We slept great with no issues. The hotel staff were great too, smooth check in and check out. The location is amazing. We walked every where. There is CVS right next to hotel. Great cheesecake at the 801 deli place. My favorite thing was their breakfast coffee. We were running late to go to the Statue of Liberty so we decided to get coffee and a croissant from the hotel breakfast. It was 18$ for two coffees and two almond croissants. At first I thought it was expensive but when I drank the coffee I was so impressed. It was delicious strong and smooth. Decided to get their breakfast again the next morning. The only thing I wish they had a fridge in the room.

Good location. Nothing else. Rooms are old and dirty. They are rundown and look nothing like pictures. Looks like a haunted hotel. Can’t control AC units. We had a 5 night stay and ALL elevators went down on second night on a Saturday. It wasn’t for maintenance. The breakers blew. Everyone had to use the stairs to get to the rooms. Sunday afternoon they finally had one elevator running and being controlled manually. No one knew when they would be fixed and were still down when we checked out today Tuesday. Room service started at 8:30AM they would persistently knock and loudly talk to other guests in hallway waking everyone up. Room walls and doors are thin and you can hear everything through them. Pillows are lumpy and bed is hard and uneven. Also was told it was 2 queen beds was not able to actually measure them but they definitely seemed like doubles and not queens . Bath tub floor was lifted which made it slippery. There was water damage on the ceiling. There was good water pressure and it was in a very convenient location. Staff did the best they could and were nice considering the situations they were handed

This hotel is nothing as it appears online!!!!! Booked this for my wife's birthday trip. Rooms looked nice and clean and claimed to be a 4 star hotel with pillow top mattresses. This is a 1 star hotel! Very disgusting rooms with broken tile, dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper . The bed is all metal spring. I just went down to the front desk very nicely asking if maybe there was a mistake as this is not what I was booking online. The lady at front desk was rude and said all rooms are the same. If that's the case they should be sued for false advertising! The toilet doesn't flush and the heater sounds like it's going to blow up. I have never felt more ripped off by a hotel in my life. We even were charged a resort fee of 100 bucks after arriving. Unless you're ok with 1 star hotels I would stay far far away. I've never been more disappointed in a hotel and sad it happened on my wife's birthday trip.

The staff was ok though the man in front of us was very upset at the front desk lady. The hallway off the elevator smelled like mildew. The room was TINY, the tub was dirty chipped and had some strange redish brown stain in the bottom of the tub. Very much felt like someone had died there (this is based on no facts just looks). There was a pubic hair on the toilet seat which tells me the bathroom had not been sanitized at all. The wallpaper was peeling. The bed was the thinnest and cheapest mattress on the market. We walked into the room and left within 5 minutes. Thank goodness we could get a full refund. Strongly do not recommend this hotel until they do some renovations. Lots of renovation!!!

Not sure if all short term stays are placed on this floor but this was based on my personal experience. The room that I was placed in looked specifically designed for a handicap or needs wheelchair access. The room was very dirty as the carpet and walls were very stained. I had booked a standard two queen bed but received two full size beds, the whole room was nothing like it was pictured and advertised online. The door lock was broken, coffee maker also didn't work, the bathroom for some reason had a chair in it and fully railed which makes sense if its for a handicap or disabled guest (note, I am not physically handicapped that required any assistance with mobility). The AC wasn't working properly as it didn't stay cool, but continued to raise to 77 degrees even though the setting was in the 60s. The website spelled out that the room had a desk, which was no where in the room; however, it did have two chairs. I had requested and paid for a microwave and fridge ($25 a night each) after confirming with the front desk that it was available, which she charged my card. However, it didn't arrive until I had to make a call back to the front desk only to learn that they never received a order for the two for my room, either the first lady did not communicate to each other or just didn't communicate honestly to the guest but had not issue charging my card when I was checking in. Regardless, eventually it came. When using the microwave, there was a strong metal burning smell, it made sense after inspection that the middle plate was not moving but stuck hard. Didn't use it after that. I don't usually make these types of reviews as I do believe most establishments are trying their best but I found my stay at this hotel very disappointing and unfortunately will never be staying at this hotel again. I simply hope they treat other guest more appropriately during room bookings. However, I wish I also received the same kind of service as the individuals that are giving this hotel 4 or 5 stars regardless of the length of stay because you never know a short term stay can eventually become a long term stay. I hope this helps some individuals out there. Part of me hope this was just an accident in the room placing process otherwise that is really messed up if the strategy is to flip rooms for short stays be providing disgusting rooms.

Location is the best thing I can say about this hotel, for what you pay. The staff was nice considering what they were working with but you get really tired of hearing it's an old building. The pictures show what you can expect with the room/hallways and I didn't even get all the pictures. Their website is a total catfish. Things you should know before you stay. They only allow two towels per room, one hand towel and one wash cloth. IF THAT. So don't plan on having multiple people or needing to wash your hair. We had to ask(beg) daily for more and they refused. Considering what we paid, shame on them. They are finally remodeling but it won't be done for a while so beware.

Positives: it’s close to Times Square and Broadway in NYC. That’s it. Negatives: AC is extremely old and doesn’t work. Walls are dingy and smell. Furniture is falling apart and also old. Hotel is understaffed (which right now I understand most places are) and extremely rude and unhelpful. If you call front desk you’ll be on hold for so long, you could walk to the front desk faster than get someone on the phone. Worst of all- the SEVERE water damage. Water leaking from the ceiling, water leaking through the carpets, water bubbling up from the floor. We didn’t even feel safe using the bathroom or walking barefoot. The parking that you can add to your room isn’t any good either as both the hotel and parking company will try and scam extra money out of you. Look- I get it, the hotel is relatively inexpensive for its location, which is why they probably get many guests. But it’s not worth it. You’d have better service and cleaner rooms at a Motel 6. Avoid this place if at all possible.

Very bad experience... rooms extremely smelly. Changed 2 rooms with same smell. It had strong smoking smell. Plus the AC in both rooms not cooling at all with loud noise all night. Cant even sleep in this hotel. Not even worth 1 star!

Great location and even upgraded our room to have a balcony. The service was okay from some employees. The room was hot. On our first day, the lobby was even hotter. On the second day, the lobby was cool and the room was still hot and humid. The lamp was broken, the tub was clogged and a renovation was decades past due.

This place is dirty. Hair all over the bathroom. toilet, tub, walls are all disgusting. Staff admitted to the drinks in shop downstairs have never been changed out in 2 years before pandemic. Elevators are nasty. Totally not impressed with this place at all. Asked for a late checkout and they wanted to charge me $75. Won't be back.

Hotel isn't bad. Front desk people are nice. I did book a multi-night stay, and came back after the first night and there where multiple items missing out of my room. Housekeeping was never able to locate them, and told me they would call me back multiple times. I never received a call. I stayed plenty of other places in Times Square while I was waiting to move in, and never had a problem. If you have valuables, I would leave them in your vehicle or take them with you.

When I called the first time for a reservation , the lady got rude and hung up on me, if I had not had been meeting people staying here , I would not have either. However, fortunately all the employees at the hotel were very nice and respectful. The Hotel itself was dirty, worn/ needed fixed/repaired...there was visible mold, my bathtub had a crack large enough that it weakened the bottom of the tub floor. I was scared to shower, ....might fall through the floor....there was water damage on the ceiling right above my toilet, from the bathroom above ours, it caused the paint to fall/ bubble and it too had blackish growth. Very few ice machines located on the floors actually worked, no breakfast is included, no mini fridge either to have food there, but if you call the front desk, you can add a BROKEN one for $25 ..the curtains didn't even close properly. Definitely will not be going back. Thank you for having an opening, wish the hotel was in better condition for me and my family. Especially for the price I paid. 😐 Not employees fault they were doing their jobs👍

This hotel is a sham it has nothing similar to the photos that appear on its website, when you enter everything looks very nice until you get to the corridor of your room where you can see how old and dilapidated this place is. When we entered the room our first impression everything was in very bad condition, the air did not cool well, the beds are sagging, the bathroom is so small and old it seems that it has not been remodeled since the 50s, it smelled horrible even if they did the service from housekeeping to the room the smell never went away. The lights in the room are of very poor quality and do not shine enough. We asked for extra towels which never came and the room phone was not working either. Don't waste your money on this hotel.

Nice for the price. No Bible in the room must be a new york thing. Parking is tough though. Make sure you check the rate before parking in the garage.

It was a good experience, the staff was nice and checked us in early, every thing was near by. The view was nice as well. Would definitely come back. It's a simple in and out hotel for tourists. No microwaves but everything else was fine

I enjoyed this old hotel. We had a view of Times Square - or part of it. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Only negatives were 1. Out of 22 floors I could only find one working ice machine. 2. Mattress is long iverdue for the junk yard. Very lumpy and loud springs. I had trouble getting comfortable. Good location if you are visiting Times Square, shows, or tour buses.

One thing I would recommend for folks booking through a 3rd party website is to make sure you add the names of all guests or at least the guest who will be checking in first. The booking was under my name and they wouldn't let my friend check in till I got there. Also, there's no late check outs. Housekeeping will be in your room cleaning at noon on check out day. Location is perfect. Very close to Times Square and the rooms are affordable. The view from the 22nd floor was great.

We just stayed at this hotel ( family stay ). The good: the location is stunning. It’s in middle of everything. Times Square, restaurants… shops. The staff is also kind and very caring! The price was good for the location. The bad : It’s simply, as many have noted, an older hotel that shows signs of great fatigue and it is definitely not super clean. We discovered that our room didn’t have working heat. The front desk immediately sent a very charming gentleman who confirmed that the hvac needed repair . They gave us quickly another room that while certainly cleaner ( less rug stains and the bathroom seemed in better shape,) the tub was in really bad condition and didn’t drain well at all ). Sadly we will have to find another place to land when we come to visit.

The initial check-in was fine but they placed me in a room that was currently occupied. Luckily, the other guest was not present when I walked into the room. The maids listing that room as “clean and unoccupied” was a true act of negligence—-which is why I deducted 2 stars. They placed me in a better room with a terrace on the 22nd floor. The room was clean & had a great rooftop view of the city. Unfortunately, there was no way to control the temperature so the room was very warm all night unless I kept the terrace door open. Overall, a good location & very convenient to all the attractions.

Location and staff were great. Everything else was horrible. Besides from the hotel being out dated, it is dirty. The bathroom was falling apart in our room and smelled like mold. The curtains, walls, and lamp shades were all stained. The absolute worst part was there is no kind of temperature control in the rooms. The AC was broken and it was very hot. We had to leave our window open and barely got any sleep because of the noise. I would never ever stay here again. Listen to the reviews because they are correct! This hotel needs a complete cleaning and renovation!

Def one of the most dirty hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s equivalent or lower than a motel 8. The carpet in the room has never been cleaned. Ventilation in the room is terrible. Very humid in the room. And the toilet doesn’t work. It’s clogged and nobody at the hotel will take care of it because nobody works here. There’s no way to call someone and there’s no room service. Pay a little more or a little less and get a much better hotel. Actually it can’t get much worse than this.

It appears this lobby is newly renovated to some extent. Dirty elevators. Dark and gloomy hallways to my room on the 12th floor. Upon entering my room - the overwhelming and nauseating order of cheap air freshener gave me an immediate headache. It permitted the air smelled like it was being piped through the vents. The room looked heavily used and in need of total renovation. The heat was on when I entered, which only intensified the smell. I immediately turned on the AC and opened the windows - which thankfully I could crack a bit on both sides to allow some air flow. The AC unit was small, looked ancient and barely puffed out any air. I called the front desk for a box fan, which they brought up, and it’s the only thing that allowed me to sleep through the night. I expressed all of this to the gentleman at the front desk, who offered to waive the $40 “Resort Fee” - one of the biggest scams of these hotels that are NOT resort hotels and have less than resort-like conditions. Expect to pay a higher rate at another hotel in the city to avoid a similar experience.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The first night I had bed bugs in my room (and I had to cover/clean/store my luggage, books, etc) because of it. Waking up in the middle of the night with bites is not fun. I reported this to the front desk that night and they said there was nothing they could do about it. The next day I speak to the front desk again and they move me to a different room -- which was occupied -- had to wait hours to get a new room after that. To top this off, there was no air conditioning in the entire building (even though it's advertised as an included amenity). They offer to crack the window open for you. I asked to speak to the manager to get some sort of discount and he got angry that I even asked and said "there's no discounts here". Totally rude guy. This place is terrible and it's expensive if you book using a site like Booking.com with the city taxes included. A $1400 stay turned into $2100 with taxes. Beware: this hotel sucks!

Our stay was horrible. This was the worst experience in a hotel in my life. I went with my cousin and brother, and we had a standard 2 double bed room. First if all, we complained to the manager that there was hair all around the sink and toilet bowl, completely disgusting. Never seen anything like that. Cherry on top was that there was also all kinds of hair in the bed under the sheets, and to top it all off, there was blood stains in the sheets. I have never seen anything like this. We then showed all this to the manager, she was 100% rude to us and gave us no other options but to leave. She told us that if we werent happy with our room with the hair and the blood that she wouldn’t charge us a cancellation fee and give us our money back and ask us to leave. The worst customer service we have ever received in our lives. That manager and this hotel should receive further consequences. To be continued…..

The location could NOT be better, especially for the price. The lobby is absolutely stunning, especially compared to the rooms. We did not come to NYC to stay in our hotel, though, so it worked just fine. We remembered to bring a white noise machine to help block out city and hotel noises and it was perfect. The room isn't the biggest and the bathroom isn't the nicest, but they were both clean and comfortable and that's all we were worried about. Now, back to the sightseeing...!

The hotel cleanliness - 5 stars Location - 5 stars Staff - door men 5 stars, luggage carrier 5 stars, front desk and concierge 3 stars... bad attitude and impatience. Room - 3.5 stars. There is no desk and chair, no microwave, no fridge. The air conditioning in the building wasn't working. The staff brought a fan in thee middle of the night and it wasn't working. We tried to contact the reception, nobody picked up the phone. We had to go down at 3 am to get another fan. Breakfast - brutal! You have take a beverage, an apple, and a pastry into your room or eat it waiting area. Parking - the worst. It does exist. But, don't forget anything inside your car and don't think you can't use your car during your stay without paying $87/ day. The parking is free if you don't touch your car after parking it.

I stayed for 10 nights on an extended work trip. Pros: - The staff was typically friendly and tried to be helpful - Good subway access - Room temperature was comfortable - Beds/pillows were quite comfortable Cons - When I arrived, there were still remnants of what looked like a previous guest's make-up on the bathroom counter (see photo). This remained for about a week until I finally left a note to the housekeeping staff asking them to clean the counter, sink, and toilet. Suggests a disturbing lack of cleanliness. - There was no ironing board in the room and my phone didn't work. After 4 attempts (speaking to front desk, sending an email), I finally got an ironing board. The phone was never fixed. - Hot water stopped working one afternoon, but it was back when I tried again a few hours later. - Crowded hotel, often long waits for the reception or elevator. Ice machine didn't work on my floor so I repeatedly had to take the elevator to another floor. - Some of the doors were prone to slamming, and the first night I was startled out of sleep by guests in another room crashing their door shut after midnight. Not pleasant! Overall, the experience was manageable for me, but it certainly was not the most enjoyable stay I've had.

Horrible. The lobby looks very nice, and the location is great. The people working there are doing their best. BUT, the hotel is horrible. We arrived and the lobby looked great. But when we got to our floor, we saw that the walls hadn't been painted in years (at least 20 years). Then we arrived at our room. The paint was peeling off the walls. The carpet was grimy and dirty. The wallpaper had come off over the years. And the view? The rooftop next door. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the dirty bed. We didn't even feel comfortable walking barefoot in that room. This is a one start hotel at best. The furniture was very old and covered with graffiti. A horrible hotel. But the location is great, and the price is affordable.

Usually don't write reviews on hotels but this is the exception. DO NOT STAY HERE. Period. Lobby is decent but the rooms are worse than a motel that gets no service. Gross carpets, everything in the room was broken and it smelled like urine. It looked like something out of a horror movie. The door wouldn't close all the way and when we went back down to the lobby to ask for another room because of the smell and the door being unsafe, the woman at the front desk gave us an eye roll and said "whatever". Absolutely disgraceful. I was very polite in my approached until that moment. We then got our bags and they canceled our reservation for us for a full refund and we went elsewhere. The money still hasn't been returned to my account, and buy reading these other reviews, I doubt I'll ever get my money back. Go down to the holiday Inn express, it's CHEAPER and an actual hotel unlike this cesspool.

This hotel is dirty and disgusting. The staff is polite but useless. Ask for two extra towels, were told "Sure, no problem." Well no towels forthcoming. The room didn't work, it took them over an hour to fix the problem. DO NOT waste your money booking this nasty hotel. It felt like cooties were everywhere. The rooms are filthy; the carpets look and smell horrible; the bathrooms stink; the whole place feels gross. The only good thing I can say is the location is prime. NEVER AGAIN!

I really loved the location and the price but the room we were in and the room was decent but a little dirty. We had to change our plans last minute and book this hotel and was not our original destination. As we road up and down the elevator it was clear we were put on one of the few unrenovated floors. Given that we had to make the booking literally at midnight I suppose I understand, still. Ice Machines didn't work on any floor. I will say you can't beat the location and the staff were absolutely amazing. I will also say that where they changed our bedding I had to ask for fresh towels and wash clothes multiple nights, I'm sure this was what the staff was told to do and don't blame any of them. The lobby is beautiful and overall our trip was fine, just would have liked things to have been a bit cleaner and more updated like most floors and the photos on the website.

Stars for location it is perfect, although there is far better for cheaper around the same area. The staff I found pleasant most of the time although queues are lengthy at reception. The rooms, the hallways, the smell, the lifts are truly awful, the worst hotel I have ever had the unfortunate experience in finding myself there. Reading replies to previous reviews the hotel suggests it is taking the feedback into consideration, I found no evidence of this and speaking to other guests they were equally horrified. Such a shame as it is such a fab location. I really wanted to add pictures to this, I will leave these on trip advisor reviews.

This hotel is in a PERFECT location if you want to be in a prime location. Yes, the hotel is a little dated, BUT how much time do you want to spend in your NY hotel room anyway ??? It is clean, comfortable, and convenient. I just stayed there for NYC Gay Pride. I would like to give a big shout out to MAXINE at the front desk who was charming, patient, personable and professional. Thank you, Maxine, and thank you Manhattan hotel. I will be back soon. While this hotel has an amazing location that is all that It has going for it. The rooms are disgusting. Hands down easily the grossest place I ever stayed. I can get over the hotel being old and rundown but there is no excuse for dirty towels when checking-in, stains everywhere in the room and the AC hardly works, making the room sticky and moist. We did address all these concerns. And was moved to another room but wasn't much better. Pay the extra $ and stay at one of the many gorgeous and clean hotels in the area.

ROOM (#1512): When we arrived, the room itself was basic, the bare minimum. The room safe just doesn't work. We notified the staff but no one came to fix the safe. The bathroom caused a problem. The bath had peeling paint, black stains in the bottom of the bath, hair was still in the bottom of the bath even though we hadn't entered it yet. The tub drain was clogged and when we turned on the water, debris would come out of the drain, the water rose quickly to foot level. How did your bathtub get so dirty?? ⭐⭐ ROOM SERVICE: The room service was good in general, the sheets were clean and neatly placed all around the bed. Unfortunately when we discovered the bathtub, we advised room service that our bathtub was clogged before our arrival and unfortunately nothing changed when we returned. Disappointing. ⭐⭐⭐ LOCATION: Located very close to Times Square, the location of the hotel was simply perfect. Restaurants, activities, Times Square itself was super close. The location was just perfect. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PRICE: For a 3 night stay, the price was $695. Honestly, in terms of the quality vs price ratio, I do not find that this price is justified. The room was nothing fancy, it was very basic, the bathroom was old and had flaws that we should never have encountered. Disappointed in general. ⭐⭐

The hotel, staff, and room were fantastic! The only issue I had was that the room did not have a mini refrigerator. Other than that everything was great! The room has ample space and very quiet. I would recommend for anyone.

BEWARE!!! Don't be fooled by the name of the hotel and the pictures on the website! Room zero stars. Staff 1 star. Location 4 stars. Hotel rooms are beyond disgusting , you pay $300 + a night per room. My wife booked 2 for 2 nights each. I understand that location is key but you expect at least a clean and decent room for that money! Extremely dirty and run down place, beyond belief. When I addressed the issues with the front desk they told me that is nothing that they can do about it and I cannot get a refund. I will file a formal complaint with The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and also with BBB.

The thermostat not working no control of temp at all! Key cards would only work once and stop. The TV remote did not work. No curtains and the blinds are broken so u can't open or close. Once suns up your up. Stains on carpet. The sink and shower let out a very loud high pitch screeching noise. Location is amazing, bed comfortable and good pillows.. besides stains and wear the room was clean and bug free. Don't understand the extra fee of 45 at check in. Normal 50 dollar hold. Stay for the location if only in for a night or two but if staying a few days I would recommend something a lil more comfortable.

How this hotel is allowed to operate is beyond me. Grime in the bathtub, red marks on the sheets. It was the worst overnight stay ever. One week later I develop a bizarre skin rash. I never get rashes. My elbow was swollen with infection. I had to take antibiotics. It lasted all summer and scarred. Dermatologist said it was likely either bed bugs or something nasty from the bathtub. Avoid at all costs.

The ONLY thing this hotel has going for them is the location. This was no better than a Motel 6. When the three of us arrived they sent us to a room without Air conditioning and the bedroom furniture was old and the carpet was disgusting! I spilled some sprite on the carpet and I used a white towel to clean it up and when I picked up the towel it was black from all the dirt and no cleaning!! We asked for another room and they moved us to the 21st floor and the view was great but the same old furniture and dirty, gross carpet. The air conditioning barely worked and me and my daughter have Asthma. They did bring us a fan but all it did was blow hot air which did not help us breath better at all, it was terrible air quality. Don't let the lobby fool you, they have air conditioning for their employees but not for the guests!! The bathroom was old and outdated and the trim/caulk was red as Georgia mud in a white bathroom and it was done poorly. The shower/tub had a dent in the bottom of it and I almost fell but twisted my knee while trying to save myself from cracking my skull in the tub!! ALSO, our room keys kept deactivating and we had to get them activated a few times. The room when booking said it came with a refrigerator and microwave and we did not have one. I called the front desk and they brought a mini fridge and microwave to us but really people why was it not already in the room. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTSIEMENT. When people book rooms all amenities listed should already be in the room! The price they charge for this hotel is literally only for the view!! if you don't care about paying $1500.00 for Motel 6 conditions then this is the place for you. This hotel needs to be downgraded from a 4-STAR because location should NOT warrant a 4 Star rating. I feel like we have been robbed and deserve a partial refund. The room was in my aunts name, last name Warbington!!

The staff there was very professional and friendly and helpful. However, the lack of furniture in the room was disappointing no chairs or table just a bed and a very small dresser. The grab and go breakfast was mediocre. In addition after an upgrade to an executive king suite there was ongoing construction above our room, which made it on a gerbil to be there during the day.

the room was clean for the most part but def felt that the room itself was like a 1 or a 2 star hotel. every single time we left the hotel we had to go get new keys. There wasn’t one time where we came in our keys were to our room. The cleaner was really nice but we left at nine in the morning and came back nearly around 6 PM and still hadn’t had our room cleaned. They definitely need to hire more people to help her out. the lobby is nice(r) though

  • 2/5 Jane L. 5 months ago on Google
Only reason it got 2 stars is because of the location. If you are staying for one night and need a place to sleep for a couple hours this is the place. Anything more than that good luck. The mattress is old and lumpy. The room hasn’t been updated since the Clinton administration. Don’t think the carpet has been changed since the Reagan administration. Lobby is nice and tricks you into thinking the rest of the hotel is beautiful it is not. Check in was a slow process. Only had 2 people working with a line to the door. We came back around 1130 from an event and was still long with only 1 person working. Location is awesome right in Times Square and credit where credit is due the window sound proofing was great couldn’t hear a thing. For a one night stay go for it anything more spend a couple extra bucks.

This hotel is nothing like their website advertised. It’s definitely not 4-5 star hotel, more like 1-2 stars. When we checked into our room, we had no towels, no hand soap, one coffee packet & 1 tea packet. The phone handset did not work, so when I called the front desk to request items missing, I had to use the speaker phone & the woman on the other end was very rude & snotty when I mentioned what we were missing, she was very nonchalant about it, so we had to make trip to the front desk to ask for these items. Over the course of the 3 days we were here, we never received any hand soap, hand towels or washcloths, coffee/tea packets. The toilet paper was never replenished. The bathroom itself looks very old & horrible. The a/c always had lukewarm air blowing out of it, even with temperature set at 65. This hotel is definitely not worth the price, even if it is in Time Square. So, what we thought would be a nice hotel to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary turned out to not be so nice. I could have gotten the same type of service or room at a Motel 6 or Super 8, but for 1/2 the price. I’m sorry, but we will not stay here again nor will we recommend it to anyone, unless they do a major renovation & put themselves on the same reputation as the 5 star hotel around them, but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

So I was terrified to stay here after all the reviews. And I can say that my room wasn't bad. My bed was very comfortable and clean. The place is really dated and it's not a super nice place to spend time. I wish they had a useable staircase for those who don't like elevators. Staff at front desk were not overly kind. We traveled in a group and several other rooms in our party had issues. Keys constantly not working, overflowing toilets... The cleaner was very friendly and helpful. Location is absolutely excellent.

Stayed here for the marathon for the proximity to the finish and affordability (esp during marathon week). After reading reviews I felt compelled to comment. Not great, but better than I expected. If you book 3rd party you’ll have to pay the resort fee separately, like every other hotel in the city. Hallways and rooms are dated, but clean. In that way, it reminded me of being in a nyc apartment building more than a hotel. There’s no refrigerators or safes in room. The mattress was clean but well worn, not to the point of being uncomfortable, but noticeable. I’d say the negative comments are way overblown.

When we arrived at the hotel (we had a reservation through booking and the money was paid), they told us that they were overbooked and that is why they did not have any rooms, and they directed us to another hotel free of charge. Of course, this was not a good experience for people who had traveled by plane and were tired. They told us to come back the next day. The hotel they sent us to was close. When we came back the next day, the gentleman at the reception named Guillermo was very helpful (he deserves a raise.) and took us to the room before check-in time. We really thank him. Contrary to other comments, our room was clean, just a little small. The location of the hotel is the best part.

They overbooked the suite that I booked 11 months in advance. I called twice in the week prior to confirm my reservation only to find out upon arrival that my room had been given away. We ended up with two rooms next to each other but this is still completely unacceptable. What is the purpose of a reservation if it will just be given away? Additionally, I had free parking for one of the nights of my stay and every person I spoke to at the front desk told me something different about my parking voucher. Seems like total disorganization all around. The rooms are old and dingy with broken drawers and gross carpet. At least the beds were clean. Best thing was the location directly in Times Square. Will never stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday December 15-16. The staff was amazing. Allison, at the front desk, is awesome. This was a gift from our daughter and she dealt with Allison who made sure she made our stay amazing. The bell hops were kind and so accommodating. The cleaning crew was so sweet and did a great job. The hotel itself is dated but you aren’t in NYC to sit in your room. After a great day seeing the sights and the Christmas Spectacular, we slept very comfortably. Lastly, Location location …. Can’t get any closer to all the holiday spots. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very pleasant.

We had a floral emergency during a wedding due to a nearby florist closing unexpectedly. The night staff were amazing. They accepted the flower delivery after we left and went to great lengths with no notice to decorate the bride and grooms room with the flowers and rose petals at no extra charge. It was absolutely incredible of them. Thanks to Ariana the night manager, and unfortunately we didn't get the names of the other staff members that helped. There werent enough towels due to a delivery issue. The water took a while to get hot but eventually did. The rooms were a bit dated but it seems like some floors are undergoing construction so that may be changing. Great location and good service. Overall it was a good stay and the staff made it great.

This may not be a five star hotel, but I had a five star time. I booked a room here from Groupon for one night, and the location was perfect. The room was clean, the elevator worked, and the front desk staff was kind and welcoming. There is a coffee bar located conveniently in the lobby by the snack bar, but I opted for coffee and snacks off the carts outside to get the full city experience. Thanks for everything!

We were here the week of Thanksgiving. We had a reasonable rate for that week for sure. The service was polite and helpful. They provided additional towels and blanket upon request. Hotel lobby was only overly crowded and we only had to wait in line for elevator once and that was right after Macys parade ended so it was expected. The Lobby was clean and nicely decorated. The room was very dated. Think like 1980s hotel. Pink tile in the bathroom. Not the cleanest room for sure. Lots of torn wall paper and grime in the shower. There is no individual heating/ac for each room I guess, or ours was broken, but we didn’t request help because we weren’t in the room enough for it to be worth the hassle. Honestly you could probably stay in a motel 6 and get the same quality room. Positives: beds were comfortable and that part was clean, view was great, and, compared to other hotels in New York, the room was spacious. The location was perfect so it made the other things easier to overlook. You really can’t beat this place if you don’t want to spend a ton but want to have a great location.

My partner and I came here for a Broadway show for 2 nights and this place was nothing like I thought it was. For the very expensive prices for 2 nights I figured we would at least be comfortable, but no. When we checked in they told us they moved our room to a newly renovated one. The room is very small, there was a sliding door for the bathroom that was off its sliding tracks sitting on the floor. My boyfriend fixed it himself when we arrived. The beds are hard as a rock. Honestly the hardest and cheapest bed I’ve ever been in. You can’t control the temperature of the room. We were getting hot and I had to go to the lobby to ask for some one to help. They said they would send an engineer up but no one came. In the morning my back hurt from sleeping on this bed, I was up very early and figured I would get coffee from the lobby. Breakfast isn’t complementary and neither is coffee. I tried to go back up to my floor and an elevator was broken not working at all with no signs telling me to not use it. I was standing in a broken elevator. This place is cheap and over rated. I would have rather stayed in a motel with these conditions, cause the rooms would have been the same, less expensive, and at least coffee would have been free.

I’m giving a star for the location and for the only 3 staff members that were actually nice. WORST hotel I’ve ever been in. I arrived with my family late in the day and was looking forward to a good night of sleep in our hotel. I arrived to a dirty room with hairs on the bathtub and the bed, which was clearly not changed from the last client. The coffee machine had moldy pods and the rooms were in terrible conditions. When I spoke to the staff about the conditions of the rooms they offered to upgrade me IF I payed extra which I refused. I asked for them to clean the room. When I came back, they basically cleaned what I pointed out instead of actually cleaning the room as when I went to bed I kept finding hairs and dust. I returned to reception, and instead of an apology I got a bad attitude from the staff who changed my room for a similar one but in a different level. The rooms were a bit cleaner but still not appropriate to accommodate someone comfortably. The only good thing was the location, but to be honest I would rather be further from Times Square than to go trough that.

Just back from 5 nights . Upon arrival we were given the keys for our first room. Room was very grubby, no hot water, safe didn't work and toilet did not flush. So after a full day travelling we couldn't use the shower. Went down to reception and they allocated up to a new room. Once arrived at our new room the paint was coming off wall, walls were all dirty. Under bed there was still items from the previous person staying. The bathroom tiles had the previous persons hair all over it. We reported this and we were told house keeping would be up to clean it which never happened. The next night we were locked out our room as the key had stopped working. My partner went down to get a new key and security come back up with him as they needed to see our ID to let us in. We showed him the hair still on the shower and he called for the manager Jospeh who come in and started yelling saying he was too busy to deal with this and he couldn't believe we called on him for that as it was apparently not important in his eyes said he would send up house keeping which still never appeared Our key stopped working 3 times when we were there. 2 nights the hot water was off. Was told I would receive my £250 back we paid on arrival which we still haven't received

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by this hotel. The staff here display clear gender and racial biases, making me feel disrespected during my interactions. However, I must commend the doorman for his exemplary politeness amidst the chaos. The reception area is incredibly disorganized; despite settling and paying early at 2 pm to avoid lines, I found myself waiting unnecessarily at 4 pm. Time is our most valuable asset, yet it's evident that the staff here do not prioritize it. Upon returning at the designated time, I was met with a long queue, and despite only needing to collect my keys, I was instructed to wait at the back of the line. This level of inefficiency is unacceptable and warrants caution for anyone considering staying here. If you VALUE your TIME do not go here. The GOOD SIDE: 1) The doorman was exceptionally polite and helpful. 2) Rose from the sales team was incredibly polite and helpful. She reached out to everyone in line, asking about their experience and gathering feedback. This level of attentiveness is commendable and truly adds to the guest experience, making everyone feel valued and important. 3) Josephine from the reception was very kind and went the extra mile to assist me.

I’m not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews, the rooms were clean, and the commute was amazing! You’re right on Times Square, and the rooms with parking fee is cost efficient! When my boyfriend had told the people at the front desk that it was my first time visiting New York (NH native) they had switched my room to one with a higher view so I could see the city better! Amazing staff, clean rooms, GREAT service! I will absolutely be back again!

My name is Shawn Smith. i had two separate stays last week. It was an amazing experience. My wife's actual first hotel stay, and she enjoyed it very much, so thank you for that. However, I was charged a $50 deposit each time, which I was told I would receive back, but I have yet to receive either. Other than that, I would recommend the hotel to anyone 🎯

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Mohammad at the front desk checked me in and he was amazing, to tell you the truth all of the hotel employees were great, no complaints what so ever. I would definitely stay here again. Perfect location, great price, great service. Signed Tracey Richardson
