This hotel was just okay. Me and my husband stayed here in mid may for the weekend and to be honest It was not really what I expected from a higher end hotel. For over $400 dollars a night. I expected more. The lady at check in she wasn't exactly rude but definitely not friendly or welcoming. There was no room service, no robes in the room, no reference guide for things to do in the area. Thank goodness I'm a native New Yorker so I knew some of what was in the area but it's been a while since I been too the city so things have changed up a bit, so any nearby restaurants or suggestions for things to do would have been nice. The view of the water from our room was a beautiful sight and the beds was comfortable but I would not stay here again. I had a better experiences for less at more budget friendly hotels.

I have stayed in multiple Hilton properties all over the world and this has got to be the worst check-in experience I have ever had. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. Upon asking a basic question about the hotel, she became highly irritated and got an attitude. We felt as if we were an inconvenience to her while it is her job to make guests feel welcome. It was a horrible first impression of the property. On a brighter note, the guys at the restaurant were great! They were very nice, quick, and the service was on point! The rooms were okay too! A but outdated but the view totally made up for it. However, considering the reception incident, I would not recommend this hotel and would never come back. Spend your money elsewhere where they treat you with some decency!

Views from corner room 3640. Excellent experience. There's a great doorman during the day, and he really makes you feel welcome. One note about the Ambassador grill ($35 credit imposed): speed is not their strength and prepare to pay about $8 in fees. Overall, it's a smooth stay. Def would come back

First trip to NYC. Overall I would say this Hilton is a good hotel. There was a nice doorman outside helping to direct people inside. As I am an Honors member and did digital check-in, I did not have to utilize the front desk, but the gentleman to the right of the entrance at the little desk was friendly and helpful in directing us to which tower we needed for our room. I actually ended up with an upgrade to a corner King which had amazing views. The room itself was mostly clean, but it is definitely showing signs of heavy wear. The carpets were stained in many places, the couch was sunken in and dingy, the window would not close all the way, and the mini fridge was not working at all. We did visit both the bar at the Ambassador Grill as well as the little cafe in the lobby. Both provided good service. Drinks and food in the restaurant are a bit pricey, but I did my research in advance and knew that so it wasn't as much of a shock. Also, I was aware of the $30 resort fee daily and used the fee towards the drinks in the bar and the cafe. The location was great for where we were looking to visit while in the city. We found the area to be pretty nice by the UN headquarters. We were able to walk to the ferry, times square, and broadway area fairly easily. All in all a good first visit to NYC and I would consider staying here again should I ever visit NYC again.

I give the room 2 stars as the view was beautiful. However, the bed and pillow were not standard Hilton bedding that we are accustomed to when staying at Hilton hotels so for the room I would say it was a 1. The carpet was dirty and worn away pulling up and frayed at the seams. The room was dusty and had trash in the corner of the room that was revealed when the curtain was pulled back. The shower was very difficult to use and had black grime coming out of the shower head and the tub was dirty when we checked in. The towel left on the bar at checkin was either dirty of stained. The bed was old and uncomfortable. We called for a thicker duvet as we could not increase the temp in the room using the thermostat and were freezing the night before. We called 3 times before finally having someone bring up an old worn looking blanket. Room service did not come to clean the room and they said they came and we refused it which was not true. We left early due to an emergency and were told that we would receive a refund for our last night stay. It was the most frustrating experience trying to get the refund back that was promised and honestly not worth my time as it has been nearly a month me following back up and they are telling me it is still being processed. Customer service at corporate was completely unapologetic and unhelpful saying I would have to call back to further check on the process that they were not able to call me back. So extremely disappointed with Hilton on how they have handled this!

Stayed here about two weeks ago, overall the stay was good, the room was spacious with a great view of the city. I had two different transactions on my card because i ended up extending my stay for a day and for both transactions they took out a security deposit that i have yet to get back, shortly after my stay the two transactions finished processing with the total correct amount but my bank account balance stayed the same, tried calling and kept getting sent to different departments and eventually hung up on, kind of a bummer because i did plan to come back but after all this not so sure. Recommend leaving a cash deposit because they will hold onto your money otherwise.

We came here as tourists. It’s a very nice hotel, beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff is friendly, they have dogs in the front which I found very cool. The views from our room is amazing. The service was very responsive when we had requests. However, the bathroom sink leaked the entire time it was used. This issue caused everything around the faucet to get wet which is the reason for 4 stars. The fridge could use an upgrade as well as the curtains. There was also no microwave, and didn’t even know they had breakfast until my last day. Lastly, they didn’t come and clean one of our days with the reasoning being short staffed and we had to call. However, they came quickly after. Overall, I’d recommend! Great spot.

The rooms are also more spacious relative to other hotels in the area, especially the newer ones. Overall a very well kept and clean hotel. This hotel has all the amenities, including a full sized Tennis court in the upper floors. One of the best part about this place are the fantastic views. Especially spectacular views of the New York skyline at night and the UN building next to the river. The Skyline Club is a fantastic place to start your morning with newspaper, coffee, breakfast, and day time view of the city.

My 2nd stay and I keep saying I will be back. Location: Near the UN. Lobby: Clean, UN theme, seating areas inside and out, before check-in or while waiting for your ride. They can and will hold bags if needed will enjoying the city. Staff: Professional and friendly with great personalities. Safety: Had no issues with safety in front of the building or during my stay, even when I was alone. Elevator: Clean and safe, use key card to access floor another safety feature. The best part Rooms: Spacious compared to many hotels I've stayed in, as well as to be in the city. Some I've seen some barely had turning space. I've done both the king city view and king suite and I have not been disappointed yet. And yes they came with lovely view of the city as well as the East River. P.S. HILTON you have a gem with your Manager Zack and his staff they go above and beyond to keep the standards of the Hilton name and because of Zack I have already referred others and as for myself I will be back. Thank you guys so much!

Hotel was clean. Front desk staff was friendly. Room was neat. Got a really nice city view. Only concern was that even Hilton group is room service is facing supply issues. I called the room service and asked for and additional coffee supplies which we can use to brew in the coffee machine provided in the room but strangely they said that they are running short of supplies and they can’t provide anything. Apart from that the hotel is really Good. The restaurant in the basement of the hotel is fantastic. Great taste and service.

Very nice rooms, excellent views, excellent location close to restaurants, coffee shops, and very quiet. However, the $30 per day resort fee is a gimmick and really should just be added to the daily rate as it created more issues for the staff to help customers understand how much per day they’ve already spent. If you don’t remember to use your $30 resort credit you lose it. This needs to be altered for better customer experience. We spent more time trying to figure out if we’ve used up our $30 resort fee then actually enjoying our stay.

This hotel surpassed all our expectations, delivering the ultimate hotel experience! Every aspect was exceptional. The entire staff, from the coffee shop to the concierge, restaurant, and room service, were incredibly professional and welcoming. The gym was impeccably clean and well-equipped, ensuring a satisfying workout. Our King Suite boasted a breathtaking city view and provided utmost comfort throughout our stay. Without a doubt, we would eagerly choose this place again for our next visit.

The hotel is good. The staff was really nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. My only wish is that there are bottled water in the rooms, and hoping that the front desk won’t interrupt me so many times. Also recommending that they can clean our rooms often, that is, we don’t have to call for room service. Oh, and did I mention that this was my second time staying at this hotel and the service was a bit better?

Good location, but they are definitely milking that for all it is worth, while skiming in other areas like upkeep and being significantly understaffed. Ambassador Grille had 1 waiter on a busy Sat night for the entire place, felt bad for the gentleman but we waited a LONG time for our dinner and then didn't get the drinks ordered. Hotel room felt fairly clean at least, but had obvious tears in the carpet, stain on floor, and a handle in the bathtub fell right off when my 2-year old daughter pulled on it, exposing a bare rusty pipe. Feels like new management is needed here.

The room we had was a one bedroom suite. Spacious, great view, excellent temperature control, quiet. The room was clean and able to accommodate a small party for cocktails. The only problem with this hotel is the front desk staff. They are rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming, and uncommunicative. This hotel has a big problem with the way Hilton honors guests - or any guests - are welcome, because you feel unwelcome.

Great hotel with a lovely view! We have no complaints! It’s in a good enough location that really quiet and you’re not far from some good sights, like Grand Central and 5th Avenue. Hotel is a little dated but our room was very comfortable and our view was amazing.

False advertising: Paid for an floor-to-ceiling corner room. While the room I got was certainly corner, it wasn’t floor-to-ceiling as suggested from booking. Outdated central air: It was very very loud. Outdated plumbing: Thank god we only stayed for one night, because the shower drain was clogged and disgusting. It had hairs from the previous guest floating on top because it wouldn’t go down. (Picture was taken the morning after) The goods: 1. Nice views, 2. Tastefully decorated, 3. Conveniently located 4 blocks from Grand Central, 4. While the central air was loud, the hotel itself was quiet and tranquil.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved the hotel ! The first night we had a great corner room with a fab view over the East River. The next morning we were given an upgrade to a room with THE best view of the Chrysler building and the Empire State Building. The room was lovely and very clean. We had breakfast in the hotel .The staff were very friendly and efficient and the breakfast was delicious but overpriced . $8 for a cup of coffee and $19 for smashed avocado on a slice of sourdough toast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to say Thank You to the lovely gentlemen on reception who gave us the upgrade.

We loved this place! The front desk let us check in early and the room they gave us had the best views. The room was actually quite big for NYC standards. We had all the comforts we needed. The location was pretty solid too, 20 min walk to Times Square. I want to personally thank the doormen and staff that held our bags- they were so kind and went out of the way to make our trip memorable!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I planned a birthday trip for my fiancé and I thought the Millennium UN hotel was going to be a luxury experience with excellent views. I was so wrong. I have never experienced such unprofessional and rude service from a hotel. Literally THE WORST. When we finally got to the room, it was filthy! During a pandemic! The sheets had a stain on it and there was a face print on the window. It was gross. There were ring stains on all surfaces around the room and there was dirt and hair in the bathroom!!! We immediately asked to check out of the hotel. The receptionist didn't even ask what was wrong with the room. She simply walked away from the desk and came back and said it was fine if we left and we would not be charged anything. We left and checked into a great (and CLEAN) hotel, the Hyatt Centric which had a great view of the empire state building. Michael and Rochelle at Hyatt Central made our stay so memorable. It was a relief. But to my surprise I was emailed an invoice from the Millennium UN Hilton charging me for 2 nights. I called the hotel and was treated like a scammer. They said they needed to investigate if anyone opened the room door. Needless to say, they did not say they still have not tried to resolve it.

I expect more from a Hilton. Especially one next to the UN. The room is nice. I have a nice view. Overall it's an okay experience. Just that though. Okay. Nothing fantastic. Nothing mind blowing. There isn't anything that sets this hotel apart at this point in time. The "amenities" are closed, thanks to COVID-19. The restaurant has strange hours. It's been an okay experience.

I stayed at this property for 5 nights to ring in 2022 and had a great time! The entire staff was amazing from Jesus in the UN cafe to the front desk agent that checked me in, housekeeping, the bell hop/doorman, security - everyone! The location is the best that I've experienced in NYC thus far. You can walk to Grand Central Terminal 5 minutes to catch any subway or commuter trains, or you can walk 15 - 20 minutes to Rockefeller Center and anything else in the center of NYC to be in the "mix". The rooms were spacious, I had a great city view, and were clean as well. I recommend 100% and would stay here again.

We currently are staying at your amazing Hotel. We requested a room in the West Tower with an amazing view as said wanted to surprise my son and just one word stunning view. Staff at the front Desk is friendly and helpful we didn't book via the honor program still get treated like honors. Can definitely recommend this hotel for an amazing stay. Clean room and super friendly cleaning lady. Highly recommend this hotel to my family and loved ones. Only downside I can say is that we never seen anywhere mentioned of a deposit of 75 dollars per day, since we are Europeans we never like to use credit cards and our Master debt card wasn't accepted sadly.

Views from our room were incredible. The housekeeping was done to an impressive standard. Enjoyed visiting the UN Cafe and Ambassador Grill, very nice service! Overall a very good stay and would recommend. It's just a shame that free WiFi isn't offered as it is in the majority of other places.

I’ve rated this hotel 5 stars for the ease of driving to it, the customer service at the front desk, and the friendliness of the housekeeping members that I interacted with. This was my second stay here, and I love it. It’s only a couple of blocks to grand central, and a couple blocks past that is Times Square. My room was clean with excellent views of the city, the UN, and East river. I hope to be back soon!

Man I loved me some Brandon, literally. His energy, the smile, everything was very welcoming from him. Very informative and helpful and just so full of life. I pray no one ever tries to dim it. The hotel on another note is beyond gorgeous. Everything gives exactly what u are looking for. Ny is my hometown, but i just chose to treat myself to a city view, self care night. I also enjoyed the bar selections and onion soup.

We can't really talk about the service because we were visiting relatives that were staying there, but they were very happy with their room upgrade. The views of the city were phenomenal. They're their suite was gorgeous! However, the food in the shop was ridiculously expensive. $28 and 29.00 for a salad or a sandwich.

Horrible hotel. The room was absolutely dirty. No housekeeping ever took place in that room. I called to complain because they also had no toilet paper or ice available. They told me that I got a good price for the room. Especially in that area. $250 per night, $100 parking, $30 fee!! Yeah! Great price!!

This has to be the very best hotel experience we’ve ever had! Everything was exceptional. The entirety of the staff (coffee shop, concierge, restaurant, room service) were very professional and welcoming. The Gym was clean and had everything needed for a good workout. The room had a great view of the city (King Suite) and was quite comfortable. Definitely would choose this place again.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in but forget about that, they had this lotion in the bathroom that’s incredibly magical. I’m someone whose face is really sensitive and break out really bad. 2 days of using that lotion and my face is the smoothest it’s been in 2 years. I never review any stuff, never comment but this has to be here. Go for the hotel, stay for the lotions and conditioners and shampoos. Im not kidding.

Overall we enjoyed our 6-night stay here. The view was spectacular and the employees were all very helpful and nice. The only downsides were the room wasn't very clean when we checked in (we talked to the front desk and the cleanliness issues were resolved) and we didn't have a mini fridge in our room. We requested one our first night there and we never got it. Other than that things were smooth sailing and we wouldn't mind staying here again if we're going to be spending a lot of time in Manhattan. It's in a pretty good location so you can walk to a lot of places. Plenty of dining and bar options within a 10 minute walk.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The city view was beautiful and wonderful to wake up/fall asleep to. The hotel itself isn't directly near a lot of things open and did involve a bit of a walk but we didn't mind. Being Hilton Members, we loved being able to get the digital key and check-in before the 4:00pm time. Quick walk to subways and Grand Central. Overall great stay.

Stayed 1 night. We were able to check in early because our room was available which was nice because we were carrying our bags all over the city since 10 am. The room was clean and had a great view looking down Manhattan. The area is nice, feels safe and is clean.

The Millennium Hilton was a great hotel to stay at during our time in downtown Manhattan. It’s so close to many restaurants and shops you can’t go wrong with the location. The staff was friendly and helpful from check in, during the rainy stay we were provided with umbrellas, through check out. The restaurant grill downstairs was popular and the water bottles were a welcome touch. Great view for the price and great stay overall.

Great location! Great stay! The services were just as I expected for this location. The staff was polite, professional, and accommodating. We had no issues with the room. The space was clean and all amenities were as expected. Everyone we encountered was professional. If I had one suggestion it would be that the front desk staff provide the list of dining options available in the area. Other than that - it was a great stay and we will definitely be back.

A good value, especially if you have Hilton points. Waterfront views are nice, 5-10 min walk to Grand Central, and they have fridges and coffee makers in the rooms (many NYC hotels do not have these). The door man was very friendly and helpful with motorcycle parking advice. It’s a bit dated inside and has some peeling paint. The rooms have high tech bidet toilets but they removed the controllers

I want to preface by saying that I did not stay in this hotel, as I simply attended a course here, which was put on by Medtronic. For the short time I was in the Millennium Hilton New York (One UN Plaza), I had a nice experience. The front desk staff were helpful in directing me to the Manhattan Room (where our meeting was occurring) and the spaces throughout the hotel were clean + well-kept. The design felt as though scenes from Mad Men could be shot here. Specifically, the common space of the lobby has an older, Mid-Century-New-York feel to it, if you will. The breakfast + lunch that were served to us were each delicious, and the staff who were present during the time of our event were very accommodating. Lastly, this location is great - the United Nations is located less than a block away on 1st Avenue and there is lots to access right near this hotel in Midtown East.

Some of the staff are not very friendly. They do not have ice available for guests. We were told to get ice from the coffee shop in the hotel and then the coffee shop in the hotel said that we could have ice but the hotel managers have told them that they must charge us almost $2 for a cup of ice. That it is not free for guests. They offer a $15 credit for breakfast but it's $6.00 for a cup of coffee or OJ and a omelet or egg and toast breakfast are like $24 to $26 each. The coffee shop has bagels or croissants for $5 or donuts for $3.

Our room was not ready at 4pm when we arrived. We waited, but after a long day of traveling we wanted to change and eat. We asked for updates at 5pm and were told we could downgrade our corner king to get checked in now. We agreed and received a lesser room, but did not get any discount. In addition, the ladies at the front desk were extremely rude and did not care about the inconvenience at all. I am giving a 1 star overall just because the service was so awful. The rooms and building are very dated. The location is a little too far east, so it is not the most convenient. It was about a 20-25 min walk to get to Rockefeller. The restaurant is very expensive and is likely why it was empty our whole stay. We did enjoy the bartender and the bar there even though it is only open after 5pm. The cleaning ladies we interacted with were also very nice. Overall, our experience was bad. I would suggest finding another place unless the cost is an absolute steal and you don’t mind bad hotels with even worse staff.

  • 4/5 Debbie R. 4 months ago on Google
We loved it here. Not too far of a walk from most places. Most things within a mile. Lots of little places to eat close by. We had a great view- and was pretty quiet. We had a room with 2 beds - it’s small but worked just fine for us. Wish there would have been a microwave to warm up some leftovers. The check in lady was great- the concierge was great! Overall we had a very pleasant stay!! We were here a couple of days from Seattle. Hope we can come back again!!

DO NOT COME HERE AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I’ve never written negative reviews but I’ve also never been treated so badly by hotel staff. The staff member at the front desk that helped us was quite rude and snarky. He was very nice to the people he helped before us and spent a long time conversing with them despite the long line (which is perfectly fine). However, the moment it was my turn I noticed he wasn’t as enthusiastic to help me as I am young (21). I didn’t realize that the booking wasn’t prepaid as I thought I had paid online so I had to call my Dad (who had stepped out of the lobby for a moment) to come back over. The concierge then proceeded to say well there’s a lot of people behind you and they probably have dinner plans (implying that i’m holding up the line). He helped me for a total of 3 minutes. In addition, the wallpaper in the room we are staying in is peeling off the walls (bad look for a hotel that claims to be 4 stars). There is also no mini refrigerator and when I called to ask if we could get one, they said only if they had any available. Why is a mini fridge in the room highlights if it’s not offered in every room? The staff was again extremely rude when I asked for the mini fridge. I had followed up asking about options if they didn’t have one as I had items that needed to be refrigerated and the concierge said “if we don’t have any then we don’t have any.” I’ve only had one good interaction with the staff here so far and only one person would hear out my concerns. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. If we are paying over 400 for one night I don’t think we should be okay with this treatment. This is my first experience booking with Hilton and I think I’ll be looking elsewhere from now on. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve had any hotel ever and I wish I had taken the negative reviews about the staff more seriously before booking.

Excellent service, that's the key to a wonderful vacation experience. I have stayed in Hilton all over the world, but it's my first time in NYC. Location was awesome, room was comfy, amenities and facilities were complete, staff were friendly and helpful, especially the elderly man at the Concierge. I didn't manage to get his name but he was really friendly and helpful and he made me feel right at home at the hotel. All staff at the Valet were really helpful too. Finally, a hotel in NYC with its own parking garage, that's the cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae!

Really nice hotel, i really dont have too much for critics, except for the exterior and entrance and a lobby. If you are coming here for the first time you can get lost almost. The entrance door is so not in the spotlight, and when you enter you got confused which way is the front desk, and then all the way back on the other side are the elevators.

I’m so glad I went to this hotel after I spent one night at the W at union square. The staff are polite and quiet along with a sweet dog who checks luggage before entering hotel. A cafe is in lobby and fast elevator I choose a corner king room (room3027)so happy I did enjoy rainy view because of hurricane but amazing view of river and city at night. Loved the couch and spacious room the curtains need to be fixed didn’t close all the way. Bed is firm and nice tv and very tiny fridge ☹️can’t hardly put a to go container or drinks. Not sure about breakfast didn’t get any information and left cafe because of long wait. Everything looked clean but most did wear masks I would definitely come back

Excellent business hotel that is superbly located - particularly if one has work at the United Nations. Its quiet and is located in a relatively sedate street. The rooms are a little dated but comfortable. It has reasonably good service. Staff are friendly. It has a wide variety of dining options within walking distance. Public transport, including Grand Central, is easily accessible.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Millennium and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They even gave me a free upgrade to a beautiful room that was spacious, clean, and packed with top-of-the-line amenities. One of the standout features of my stay was the valet parking service, which made parking a breeze. I also appreciated the great quality of the breakfast, which provided a good start to my day. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hilton Millennium to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, the amenities were top-notch, and the attention to detail was evident throughout my stay. I can't wait to come back!

Everything is pretty much back to normal since Covid arrived and shut so many things down. We had doormen, housekeeping, and the coffee shop was open.

My two daughters and I stayed for a family NYC adventure! This hotel was AWESOME! All staff was very friendly!!! The room was big and nice! We enjoyed the coffee bar downstairs and became friends with the server! It was super quiet and perfect for business. It was a wonderful experience and we will think of this hotel as our NYC home!! Thanks!!!

I had the pleasure of staying a night here on a recent trip. It was hands down the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. My room was on the 37th floor and had an amazing view of the city; One World Trade Center, Chrysler Tower, the Empire State Building, and the East River were all visible from my window. The room itself was very clean and featured a very soft lounger, a nice firm mattress with tons of room, a big television, a walk-in closet, and a spacious bathroom. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. The area it was located in felt very safe to me, and it was super quiet, despite its proximity to main roads and other landmarks like Grand Central Station and Bryant Park. There is a restaurant and a cafe on the lobby level; I didn't use either facility but they were very convenient for those who did. Lots of nice places to eat are nearby as well. I would stay here again.

This hotel was nothing but accommodating. I checked in on Friday to attend the Ezoo festival. Upon arriving the woman at the front desk allowed us to check in earlier (lifesaver). The hotel bed was so comfy. Unfortunately our bathtub wasn’t draining properly. We went to the desk Sunday to inform the staff and see if maintenance could fix it while we were gone. Barry at the front desk upgraded our room to double beds and accommodated us with a late check in (also life saver)! The staff engaged with us about the festival and supplied us with complementary waters to make sure we stayed hydrated. Both rooms had amazing views. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to the city. Thank you so much to the staff and the best hotel in the city!

We had an amazing time! The room views are breathtaking, we saw the Chrysler building , Empire State Building and the one World Trade Center all from our window (room 3333) . Our room was modern and very clean, there were some stains on the carpet , which is normal when it’s all carpet, however this was not disturbing at all. The check staff was not that friendly to be honest, she just asked for my credit card without even describing for what she needs it, after me asking 3 times she said it’s for the deposit.. she also just handed us the room-card not even a description where we can find our room or information about the hotel. However the rest of the staff was amazing and very friendly !

If you are traveling on the UN business there is no better place to stay. The UN headquarters are literally across the road from you. The rates are reasonable provided you book well in advance. Higher floor views are absolutely breathtaking thanks to floor to celling panoramic windows. Nice Coffee served on the first floor. Service is attentive and polite. If you arrive during especially popular UN events you can expect lines on check in/out. Air conditioning system is powerful. Too powerful to my taste, though (had to stay under the blanket not to catch cold). Depends on the room - if it’s not blowing in your face it’s all good.

what a fantastic hotel. we stayed here for a week and probably had the nicest room. a suite on the 40th floor with our 2 children. new york is a great city but coming back to our suite at night was also a blast! Waking up in the morning too! what a beautiful view. our city trip was unforgettable, partly thanks to Millennium UN Plaza. Extra thanks and compliments to George, the porter. He arranged a taxi to the airport for us and thanks to him we had our backpack that we forgot in the taxi back very quickly, a lifesaver and such a nice man! question to Hotel: we forgot 2 things and sent an email, but we don't get an answer anymore. How can I reach you by email?

Loved staying here! We had a corner room with views of the east river and the Empire State building. Service was responsive and helpful. The location right by the UN made it a unique experience as the General Assembly was meeting this week. Security was heightened, but we always felt safe. Recommend staying here! (Note: there is no pool available)

Nice hotel! Room is decent! Only thing I would add is having a microwave in room & having an ice machine! Besides that comfortable bed large room! Super safe location & the view from our room.......WOW! Walking in from a long day in the city to see the city lit up.....yes!!! Touch screen controls for lights is cool! It can really set the mood you are looking for! Oh and the bathroom & shower.... let's just say you can have some "fun" in there!

I was very excited about this weekend trip with my husband and two children due to the location and the price point. However, that changed once I arrived. To park my vehicle, I was told it was only valet and it was $100 per night and there was no in and out privileges. I came to find out the reason for no in and out privileges was because my vehicle was parked on the street. So, I basically paid for my vehicle to be parked on the street that was free until Monday (How awesome is that??). Next the older black woman at the front desk with the salt and pepper hair in a bun looked at me and my family like we had three heads because we were dressed comfortable versus business attire/glamorous evening wear, but I guess I shouldn't take offense because that's how she looked at another young black couple as well (I guess we didn't fit the description of the typical guests...foreign or Caucasian). There is no ice machines or vending machines, and the store closes early so if you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night...tap water is your only option. I booked a double bedroom because I had no idea it was double full-size beds. My husband booked an additional night before check out time so we could just stay in our room and then transition to the new upgraded room upon check in. I advised the front desk of the booked additional night and was still charged $75 for three hours late check out after we were advised that we had to leave our room because our current room needed to be cleaned and our new room wasn't available. (So why did I still get charged $75??!!) We had to take all of our things to the bell person who had nowhere to house our food that was in the refrigerator so that was $150 down the drain. They add an extra $30 to your room and say it's a credit for food and beverage but you lose it by 11am the next day. Also, every entree is nearly $30 so if you have a family this deal is a no go. Overall, the room and hotel were very clean it's the snobby staff and extra fees that are the issue.
