Stayed for four nights on business. Every employee I interacted with over the course of the week was exceptionally courteous (note that this is in NYC which is not always known for warmth 😉). The room was well equipped and very clean. The computerized elevator system is a fantastic piece of engineering. I love the elevator. Best elevator experience so far in all my travels. The gym is large, well maintained and clean. I would gladly come here again and hope I have a reason to in the future.

Does not honor guaranteed late checkout benefit for elite loyalty members. This property considers itself a “convention hotel” and as a result, hides behind an exemption in the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions allowing them to not honor the guaranteed late checkout for elite members. This is a choice of the property. They have chosen to prioritize the next guest over their current guest while picking and choosing which benefits to honor. And in the process disregarding the very loyalty program that got the guest in the door in the first place. The property itself is very nice with courteous staff, a good restaurant, nice rooms, and fully functional club lounge. But if your “guaranteed late checkout” benefit is important to you, I would suggest staying at another Marriott property in the area. This hotel is inconsistent in delivering the loyalty benefits that have been earned. The guaranteed late checkout benefit has long been one of Marriott's strongest advantages. It allows you to plan your departure day around your own agenda and not the hotel’s agenda. A game changer for those who spend lots of time staying in hotel rooms. This property should honor the benefit like almost every other Marriott hotel.

Outstanding hotel on Times Square. Staff is very very helpful and accommodating. Hotel is like a miniature city. I would highly recommend it. Very clean very modern. Very close to anything worth seeing in New York City. Easy access to almost any Broadway theater. Easy access to any restaurant and any cuisine.

Fresh and clean hotel directly on Times Square. Rooms were updated and large for Manhattan. This hotel is enormous, right in the heart of it all. Room was fairly quiet, considering location. Surprised by the large closet. Has safe, small fridge, desk with multiple plugs, bath has soap bar with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in large, mounted bottles. Would stay again.

This was our second stay at this hotel for New Year’s Eve. We had three rooms for 7 people. The M lounge staff were militant about one guest in lounge for us, but entire families of young adults were allowed into the lounge with one key. Additionally, the M lounge was closed with no additional compensation. The first stay we were able to walk out to the barricades and watch performances and the ball drop. This stay we couldn’t even walk across the street to the restaurant we had dinner reservations. We were traveling with elder parents ages 85 and 78. Both of whom used canes. The street wasn’t closed, Marriott just wouldn’t let us exit on that side and wanted our parents to walk 3 blocks to get across the street. We even checked earlier to make sure we could get to the restaurant. Marriott kept changing the exits. We were completely locked into the hotel. We had to cancel the reservation. This would have been the worst stay EVER except for two bellmen Erik and Daily who took great care of both of our parents and saved the stay.

This is an absolutely phenomenal hotel; an incredible value for the money. The rooms are terrific, the accommodations are plentiful, the level of service is well above standard, and the amount on conference room space is unreal. They make it really easy to stay in the hotel and not want to explore New York City. Crazy! I highly recommend Marriott if you are staying in New York City.

Excellent hotel located conveniently adjacent to Times Square. If you are seeing Broadway shows, you can't ask for a better location. Room was clean and serviceable, with great views (28th floor). Elevators were extremely efficient. Workout room was huge with lots of equipment. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! Definitely have earned our repeat business.

I went here for dinner while visiting the city. The view from the restaurant is spectacular!!! They have floor to ceiling windows overlooking Times Square. It's really a cool place to have dinner or drinks. It is a bit pricey but everything in the city is. I felt it was worth the money just for the view. It's cool to look down at Times Square. It's a different view from higher up. If you want to table right in front of the window I would suggest making reservations. We weren't able to sit right at the window but you have a decent view from most places in the restaurant. We did not stay overnight here. We were in the city for the day.

GREAT location, right smack near Times Square in NY! Super convenience to a lot of places if you’re visiting New York and want to get the most out of your stay! The rooms are newly renovated. Their gym is one of the largest hotel gyms I have ever been to and those elevators are fun to be in (really fast and efficient!).

Top of the line superior service. Mobile check-in was quick & fast. The best location right in the middle of Times Square. Only one block from where the ball drops for NYE. Walking distance to the Metro, amazing shopping and OMG right slap dead in the Theater District. Great restaurants in and around the hotel. Don't forget to check out THE VIEW restaurant at the Top of the Hotel. If there in the summer, check out the Broadway Terrace. It was an Amazing experience and the King Premier suite is huge & fabulous!!! I would definitely stay at this location again.

First time staying, always wanted to, just a little pricey for my budget. My brother in law recently got a job with Marriott so we got the friends and family. Everything is amazing, clean, safe. And Times Square can be out your window for an extra 100 per night. Still had a great view.

Lets talk about room...its facing the time square and we can see everything looking down to the street. Spacious for 4 person and has small ref. No microwave. Two queen bed and pull out bed. Breakfast is my favorite part. Lots of choices. Love the different kinds of bread. Place is very clean. Location is perfect if you want a place near the square and shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was worth every dollar you pay. Will come back again.

Luxurious hotel at the heart of Times Square. I really loved the amenities in this hotel and loved the super fast elevator. The view is spectacular. The hotel is very high in security and technology. However, I spent only one night despite my reservation for four nights due to very bad customer service. I believe customer service should be revisited and improved to the level that suits Marriott chain.

I was here for a conference. It is a tricky hotel to move around given its sheer size. The noise on the atrium level for drinks is just too much for attendees - and friends told me it echoed into their rooms. Staff are lovely and did everything they could do make our time there productive.

  • 5/5 Talk S. 1 year ago on Google
The room was large, very clean and beautiful, and came with a small refrigerator. The view of the city and water was lovely, and visible from the king sized bed. Customer service was wonderful. There was no need to pay more to upgrade the view to the Times Square side, as the view of the city and water was more calming and lovely, both at night and during the day. The location was close (walking distance) to a lot of wonderful restaurants and shopping. 10 out of 10, Definitely recommend.

We've stayed in a few other Marriott properties in NYC, trying to find the one we like best. We finally found it. The king bed room we booked was spacious and comfortable. We loved the M Club and enjoyed the breakfast there daily. The staff was so friendly and attentive. And you really can't beat the location if you're coming to the city.

Finally, a much needed renovation is complete! New product is so much brighter, cleaner, technology updated, and overall nicer. Front desk staff is friendly per usual, bell staff was not helpful, most were standing around leaning. The room service is very pricey for what you receive. The elevators are better and now require key card access to go up to guestroom floors.

We had a fantastic president’s day weekend here. Check in was enjoyable and she gave us a great room. Our daughter was blown away by the view and location. I’ve stayed here many times over the years and it never disappoints.

Stayed at this location for Christmas week. The room was great, view amazing. 😍 and the housekeeper was fantastic. Only complaint is the check in process. the agent hushed my kid, maybe she felt she was being too loud. I didn't find it disruptive and rude for her addressing the child and not the parent, she also didn't really explain much about the hotel, we had to figure out the restort things and what they offered. It was a busy time so everything felt rushed as a first time visitor I would have like to hear more details regarding the hotel. Any questions we attempted to ask she seemed like she didn't want to answer. Other then that I thought the location was great and the room as we'll. The location was perfect.

Make sure to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Clean, modern rooms with a nice bathroom. Our view did not face time square but was still a nice cityscape. Great location close to everything! We really enjoyed our time here. Room service food was so yummy (especially the chocolate cake) and arrived promptly. The elevators system prompted you to which elevator would take you to your destination and the glass surrounding gave a great view of the building interior.

My husband and I were in New York celebrating his birthday. I wanted to surprise him with a gift in the room. Dino Reyes is the restaurant director. He was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I asked for balloons and he was not sure if he can accommodate that request but he did. When the champagne and cake were delivered balloons we were also with the gift. He is a true professional and I will definitely will stay again in this hotel because of his amazing customer service. Everything I asked for was delivered.

Amazing buffet, wish it went longer. Nice room. Elevators are packed, slow and infrequent. Great view. Loved the non single use shampoo. Windows were dirty on the outside. Front desk was helpful. Nice hotel.

My go-to hotel when I travel to NYC for business. I honestly prefer it to the Edition across the street. The gym is large and well equipped. The M-club is large (though does close completely around 10pm - I prefer the locations that still allow you to get coffee/drinks later). Can be crowded but there are a ton of elevators so usually not too much of an issue.

The ideal place to spend any special event, especially New Years. My hotel room view was a perfectly pointed to watch the New Year's ball drop, and watch all of the street shows below. Comfortable and clean, great workout room, restaurants, and the customer service was amazing from front desk to vallet. We picked up another night because we we did not want the experience to end.

Location is fantastic for those who love being right in the middle of action in Times Square, and just beside Broadway! It is a large hotel, so lifts can get busy. Room is comfortable and spacious. No bottled water provided in room, but other guests had shown us a workaround - refill our own bottles from dispensers with lime/lemon/cucumber infused water beside the concierge counter at L8. Gym is big and has a good number of treadmills. Service wise, had pleasant experiences with the friendly staff at the reception and concierge. Can’t say the same for 2 staff handling tickets redemption at the tour counter - they were obviously selective in guests to be friendly with and we were unfortunately not their chosen ones, having to put up with their frowning faces and curt attitude. A good stay overall, and probably better if staff at L8 tour counter can be better trained.

Actual experience while at the hotel was excellent. Nice property and rooms, kind and helpful staff. Experience afterwards was bad, over $300 in charges on our bill that should not have been applied - $250 was a charge that isn't ours and $67 in improperly applied or missed resort credits. The Marriott call centre acted like I was being high maintenance wanting the resort credits to be properly applied.

Excellent location. Clean and newly updated hotel rooms (2022 August). The elevator system was extremely efficient and fast. It is literally in the center of Times Square and close to everything you could possibly need. It is directly across the street from one of the best cheesecake places in the city. The staff who look after room service cleaning was extremely friendly except the recipients screaming and Not patient at all and I didn’t get copy of my invoice as well as they didn’t release my money which was on hold as deposit YET and it has been one week now. Fresh water was available in the lobby at all times. Overall a great experience. I didn’t get Excellent views from the rooms unfortunately. Absolutely loved this hotel and will hopefully have the chance to come back again and always will be my choice I stayed in room #1250 from 23-25 September 2022( I wish if I could stay more longer than those days)…”This hotel is outstanding”

Attended a conference here. You can't get more central than this hotel, smack middle of Times Square (is it a blessing or a curse? depends on who you ask) They recently had a renovation, so the hotel is modern, technology up to date, and everything almost always works. The staff are like ninjas, quick handed, works seamless in the background, you almost don't notice them if you don't intentionally look for them. They're also quick to recognize a lost person and quickly come to your aide. 10/10 for large conference or day time meeting.

Great location in the theater district. Walking distance to some amazing places to get slices, times Square, and a ton of shopping. Amazing view of Times Square from our hotel room on the 21st floor. Very clean rooms, decent bed, large rooms with space for activities! The food in the restaurants was very good, and the staff throughout the hotel was very friendly. Definitely will stay here again!

Hotel was pretty nice, room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the bar and restaurant “revel and rye” weren’t great. Took a while to get served and the drinks were suspiciously small, especially for the price tag. Food was kind of bland. Expected much better from a hotel of this caliber in such an iconic location.

This was a great place to stay! The staff was excellent, so very kind and welcoming. They were always making sure we had everything we needed and offered help with finding good places to eat. There was SO much within walking distance. We found a great Mexican restaurant, little shops and historical landmarks. Ubers were quickly available to take us where we needed to go. You can walk to the Washington Monument in 20 - 30 minutes from here. Our room was cozy and the bed comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant with comfortable seating and a fireplace. We ordered breakfast one morning and everything was delicious.

Great location especially if you are going to watch a play. I just felt like the experience could have been better. It was a busy holiday weekend. If you want to go to the m club they only accept two people in your party. The hours for the club aren’t that great. Closes at 4pm on the weekend. There was a guard to let you into the club and he always asked me questions. I just prefer not to be hassled in that way. Rooms are good size for the location. It just felt to me like a decent hotel that didn’t elevate the level of service for guests with status. At least not in my experience. I could have saved some money and stayed at a lower tiered hotel for the same experience

Enjoyed my stay at Marriott Times Square. Christmas in NYC is magic and the hotel handles the crowds very well. It was a little too busy for me, but in you want to be in the middle of things with great service and don't mind crowds this place is for you. It's great to walk to most major attractions and enjoy the theater without Uber. The staff do a great job and are very friendly. A great stay.

I appreciate the service here. Carol from hospitality cleaned our room yesterday and did such an amazing and caring job even folding up my kids’ blankets and my shopping bag. I’m like, wow, people don’t normally go the extra mile this way. She also left us more water today without us asking noticing there was three of us in the room. I feel the love!! Thank you! Nice room too with an AMAZING view.

We loved our stayed at this hotel. While it is big and in a very busy location, the hotel is run so efficiently! All our interactions with staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the Revel and Rye for lunch, food was delicious! Our room was clean, comfy and cozy. We can't wait to come back!

One of my favorite NYC Marriott's. The location is great, especially for going to Broadway shows. The elevators are an experience. The Marriott Club is well appointed with a friendly staff. The front desk was delightful.

This is an excellent hotel. Beds are great, rooms nicely furnished. We had a great view of Times Square. Right in the midst of everything. We had a great Saturday exploring the immediate area, stopping by the M&M store, H&M as well as others. They had a market going up Broadway which fantastic. Still a couple more days.

Great location and hotel for being in NYC. If you have to visit this god forsaken city you want to stay here. The rooms are new and very large for NYC with modern bathrooms. The elevators are modern & controlled so they are fast and reliable. Great spot with kind and attentive service & large clean rooms.

Had a lovely stay here. I would highly recommend staying here for the convenience. Right off Times Square. Close to Central Park. Subway was close and made getting around the city very easily. Outside the hotel felt clean and safe. Rooms inside were lovely, modern, and clean. Didn’t earn 5 stars for two reasons: We called ahead of time to confirm we could get a late check out. On the day of check out, I was told no late check out was available. That was a bit frustrating. And we paid to have our car parked. We picked up our car and it was absolutely filthy. Minor complaints. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay and would return. 👍

Yesterday, I dine with my family at Revel and Rye. Food was very good. We ordered two martinis and were charged $24.00 + Tax each. I believe that is pretty ridiculous price for a lemon drop and a dirty martini, with no special ingredients added, and not disclosed those ridiculous prices on the menu. I don't recommend it for going out for a drink.

Stayed here for a long weekend in New York. Location is incredible, can’t beat it. The room was renovated and nice. Hotel staff were accommodating and attentive. The only downside was that they aren’t doing house keeping or room service right now so trash piled up and short on towels. Otherwise, great stay.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend before school started with our kids. We loved that it was right at the heart of times square and all the shopping our kids wanted to do. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on getting around and where to find things. I really liked the fact that they check who is going up to the rooms area by the elevators. We felt safe allowing our kids to take a look around the hotel amenities with older brothers. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of the big screens in time square. I would definitely book here again. Also Junior's restaurant and bakery is right across the street.

I just spent 3 nights staying here. This use to be the hotel I stayed at every year prior to COVID. There are COVID checkpoints everywhere however the 8th floor lounge is pretty much gone; there is a breakfast buffet but the souvenir shop is gone, Starbucks is gone and closed on the ground level. Staff seems to be all new and still learning. My room had a view of Times Square which was great. It wasn't the same as I remember unfortunately. I wanted to stay longer but was told the entire building was going to be without hot water and pressure today (9/23) so I left. Sad. I hope they bounce back. For the price you pay for a room here you can spend 4 nights at the New Yorker hotel. Have to pay for parking your car here too which is ridiculous after spending over $400 a night for a room in a hotel where not much was open. I don't think I'll stay here anymore.

Beautiful hotel at the heart of Times Square. Central location is convenient to everything. Beautifully well-appointed, large, comfortable, quiet modern rooms. Upscale shampoo, conditioner and bath gels provided Lots of excellent dining and drink options. Fantastic service from housekeeping, concierge and all staff. There is a really cool futuristic circular bank of many glass-walled elevators. You choose your floor before you get in. It tells you which door to go to and it is usually open and waiting to take you to your floor. No floor buttons to push in the elevator. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location and the staff at check-in were good. However, my husband's sunglasses were gone after getting the vehicle from valet parking. So disappointed with how poor the hotel manages/educates the staff. Hopefully, this kind of incident doesn't continue. I don't think I will continue to use Marriott anymore.

Everyone at the hotel was polite and helpful. Location is great if you are seeing a show on Broadway. We attended a large banquet and the food was the best I've had at an event like that. Again, all staff were fantastic. The only negative is the beds are hard.

As a new Yorker it is Perfect for tourists , it's in time square , it's for out of town people not New Yorkers. Don't let that turn you off though , if I was visiting NYC for the first time I would hope this is where I would sleep. I came for a conference, and previously stayed here for another business meeting. It's one of the better hotels in the city for large groups and tourists. Plenty to do , everything is conveniently nearby. Safe , clean

This is my new favorite Marriott property! It was recently renovated and is amazing! I was don't the 40th floor with an incredible view. Everything inside seems nice, new and clean. The elevators are next level awesome-you just flash your room key and it tells you which elevator will open and take you straight to your room. The conference space is nice. And the M club for elite members is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Can’t get any better location. Amazing view of Times Square from the room. Clean, quiet, fast elevators. Only complaint is that there are no microwaves in the rooms or available anywhere at all in the hotel if you need to heat anything up. No alcohol available for purchase either, just very expensive bar.

The employees are great here and it is in the perfect location. However, our shower head had a very small leak that sprayed out onto the floor and toilet. We just covered it and didn't put in a service request because we were only staying a couple of nights. The bed isn't just firm, it's hard. The table/desk that rolls out from under the desk would only roll out about a third of the way because it was blocked by the bed. The walk way between the bed and desk is small. The room was very clean and had a decent view. The service and placement of this hotel would make us choose it again.

This Hotel is just steps from immigrant battles zone. If you have a family I would not recommend this hotel it’s not safe to even walk out the front doors. I feel most people are not aware of their surroundings. It’s definitely not like the New York you use to know just a warning be careful you might want to pick a different hotel.
