My review reflects sentiments from many other reviewers. The property is modern and clean, and well located. The front desk staff was very kind, especially Christopher, who went out of his way to be helpful and polite. Rooms were small but well organized. The on-site restaurant offered good food and staff was friendly. As others have noted, a hot shower in the morning is iffy, at best. Beat the rush if you want one - before 7 am seemed fine; after, the water was cold. The in-room heating system was also a bit frustrating. It was 10 degrees outside, but I struggled to get heat in my room. It would blow hot air for about a minute, and then cold air for the next hour. I finally had to shut it off completely. I would absolutely stay here again, but would press the staff for help with the heater.

Great price, location and service in New York City. When we came in, they offered us complimentary champagne, chips and waters, and staff were incredibly accommodating and polite our entire stay. They welcomed us every time we left or entered the lobby, and held our luggage for us while we waited for a taxi to the airport as well. Rooms were clean, and while they were a bit small that is to be expected as it’s NYC. Beds were comfortable, and the showers were amazing! All their soaps were plant-based, and each room had hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as a hair-dryer. TV’s had a great selection of shows to watch, and the rooms also had a mini fridge. Overall very impressed and happy with our stay, and would definitely stay there again. What was most impressive was how quiet and peaceful it was. You could hardly hear anything from outside including the traffic, the building was very well insulated as we couldn’t even hear our neighbours as well.

We held a regional meeting at this location last week. The staff was all so accommodating and kind. The front desk workers even remembered my name and would greet me upon return. The rooms were very clean and the location was very convenient. We had some scheduling issues come up but the events manager was able to find a solution for us. The catering from Burgerology was great and had good variety. Thank you for helping make our event a success.

Just a few steps ahead of a Hampton Inn. The service was good enough, but they could step it up a notice. The rooms are tiny, but at least it had a refrigerator. The beds were super soft, which made them comfortable, but also made us sore. They do have premium channels HBO, but I wasn’t able to stream. The rooms and area are quiet that was a good thing. They originally gave us a room right next to the elevators and gym???? I understand they want to maximize their space, but come on. When we arrived about 8pm their hallway by the elevator was tight because they had their giant laundry bins lined down the hall. We called down to ask for more towel and washcloths and an extra blanket at 11 am. We had to call back at 8:30 pm to request again. We received four towels (no washcloths) and a blanket. The shower tile was dirty, you could see the grout was not cleaned. The lobby floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a week. The location was perfect for us just a few blocks from the convention center and town square.

High quality hotel with clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms. Fantastic friendly staff that helps make it a great stay from check-in to check-out. I always stay at this hotel when I travel to NY for work. I love using their gym because it has peloton bikes, treadmills, free weights, smith machine, and towels. The hotel is close to lots of great restaurants and easy to get to different parts of the city. I most recently went end of Jan/start of Feb 2024 and had a wonderful experience. Big thank you to Elijah and Mali for going above and beyond to get me what I needed to help make it a relaxing stay amidst a busy week at work. Will be back soon. One ask - it would be great to have non-plastic (I.e. aluminum) water and beverage options when checking in at the counter.

Overall a really great hotel and stay experience! Rooms are clean, modern and house keeping service was excellent. The rooms and beds were a bit small but nothing out of the ordinary for NYC. All the staff were very friendly and nice as well! We had an issue with our TV which took a couple tries to fix but it was resolved relatively quickly. We also had an issue with small fruit flies in the shower which seemed to be related to the drainage, but which they fixed easily and quickly.

Rooms are a good size by NYC standards. Great amount of storage sleeves in closet and a couple drawers. Bed was very comfortable and shower was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A/C stopped working 1 day and they had it fixed in about an hour. Very convenient access to subway and several food options of various prices near by. Checking our bags with front desk gave us a lot of freedom on our last day here. Definitely worth getting room on a higher floor. Would absolutely stay here again.

As a discerning traveler, I admire a certain level of quality from my accommodations, and I'm pleased to say that this hotel exceeded my expectations in every regard. Upon arrival, Reynold's noble manner set a tone of gracious hospitality that continued throughout my stay. My room, situated on a high floor, was spacious and thoughtfully appointed, providing a immaculate comfortable retreat after a long day of travel. The bar offered a satisfying selection of crafted beverages, complemented by a welcoming atmosphere. What truly distinguished this hotel was its attentive staff. Multiple employees went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction, demonstrating a genuine commitment to guest service. In summary, my experience at this hotel was exceptional. From the inviting accommodations to the exemplary service, every aspect of my stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers seeking a memorable experience.

Remember to use Hoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Wonderful stay! It's a small hotel/ rooms but super clean and cute. The staff was so amazing they go above and beyond to help their customers. They are very friendly. The restaurant was great, the food was good. Jason was always making sure we feel welcome.

On top of everything being clean and comfortable the staff was amazingly nice to myself and my kids. They were helpful with tips and someone was always there to greet us. The lobby is warm and welcoming. As a mom traveling with kids it was nice to have a safe landing place. The room service is great too. I recommend the tacos!

The room was so clean, updated, and welcoming. The staff was friendly and engaging, easily accommodating a slightly early check-in. Love the room, love the updates. Great hotel for the price.

The rooms are decent and very comfortable, and the hotel is very central and a good walk if you work around Hudson Yards. Not a big fan of how the breakfast is structured. There is no buffet, and you can only pick one item on the menu (either an omelet OR pancakes OR avocado toast etc.). It also takes a bit of time for the breakfast to arrive and the service could be a tad more friendly. I may stay here again in future because of the central location and decent rooms but likely without the breakfast option.

We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown. Great location, clean, very comfortable beds, excellent food and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were wonderful, friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. I specifically chose this hotel because I wanted a real front desk and check in with staff and a good location. The hotel hospitality didn’t disappoint by assisting us in locating a cab, directions, restaurant recommendations and much more. Everyone was friendly. We will definitely return again. Five stars!!!

The location is very good. It’s easy for us to walk to the train station, the pier for boat ride and Time Square. For the sake of environment friendly, we usually don’t ask for housekeeping every day during our stay. This time we made an exception because I felt itchy all over when I woke up next day. However the front desk staff were very friendly and the service was good.

This hotel is a hidden gem! It’s newer with modern decor, clean, quiet, and the location is great. We wanted a suite with a King bedroom, living area with a sofa bed, 2 full bathrooms and a mini fridge and I was thrilled to find this in the city. We booked the Manhattan Suite aka Broadway or Herald Suite. There was very little street noise to be heard and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant connected to the lobby, Burgerology, is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If I had to find one thing to change it would be to add locks to the bedroom and bathroom doors but definitely wouldn’t keep me from coming back. As soon as we checked out I tried to book again for our return next month but unfortunately the suites are all booked-not surprised! We will definitely be back again!

Stayed here on a business trip. Service was very friendly and gave good advice regarding local food and transportation. My room was small but nicely appointed. It all felt recently remodeled. The shower was really nice. TV was terrible. Tried watching ESPN and it had lots of static. The on-site restaurant looked really nice but I didn't partake. Lots of construction going on in the neighborhood so it was noisy in the morning.

Terrible location in terms of crime, homeless, dirt. Service is average. When I asked to upgrade my room I was promised one rate and then when I came back from meetings and was ready to get my new room the managers they told me that they couldn’t honour the rate promised. When I asked for the email of the CEO they refused to give it to me and accused me of threatening them because I wanted to provide my feedback to them. Additionally they had no clue as to where to recommend us for reputable Covid testing. Based on their recommend of on the street testing we did not receive our test results within the promised 48 hours resulting in the need to do 2 hour PCR testing so we could catch our plane at a cost of $398 each x2. Walls are paper thin. Don’t stay here!

For the rate, I personally wouldn't stay here again. Just for additional info, I've been to Manhattan a few times before. I looked at the same hotels for 4 days before deciding on this one based on reviews. Clean hotel. Some of the employees are pleasant. I had several issues the first day, emailed the operations manager, and got a response the same night which was great. This is not the hotel for views so don't pay extra for a high room. The fire alarm went off periodically starting at 5a until about 730a on the morning we were checking out. I've had similar/better stays and lower price points.

Excellent stay! From check in with Rosa at the front desk (who is absolutely amazing), to my daily housekeeping and the comfortable room everything was great. Walking distance to Hudson yards/Jarvits center, which was the purpose of my visit. The vegan burger in the lobby restaurant was also good, just wish they had vegan options for breakfast. I had room service a couple of time and it was timely. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Manhattan.

Great staff. Pleasant, professional interaction from the front desk (Lewis & Tensin) to room service. Within a couple of blocks of Penn Station, so a great location for moving around the city, but the neighborhood is a bit NYC gritty. That said, I did walk around the corner to a 24hr deli at 4am Saturday morning and I was just fine. Honorable mention goes to great quality bed linen and very comfortable mattress. Room service was also decent quality.

First of all, the hotel is a smaller version, boutique hotel if you don't want a huge lobby and tons of people. The hotel and rooms are so clean. Yes, the rooms are small, but for the time you spend in them, they are perfect. Most of all, was the staff. They are warm, friendly, welcoming and really go out of their way. They fact that there is a restaurant attached to the hotel makes it so easy to get food and order food. It is a bit out of the Time Square energy, but we found that we explored different parts of NYC that we usually wouldn't. We would return here in a flash. Loved it!!

We just came back from our weekend trip in NY and stayed here. Check-in was great. We were early but they had a room ready for us. The rooms were not large by any means but not tiny as some NY hotel rooms can be. Bathrooms were pleasantly large. Our room was clean and very comfy. The hotel was conveniently located to everything. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Really nice hotel. Of course, it’s not a four seasons but anyone with a logical brain understands that. It’s a great location, the staff is really friendly, the neighborhood is very quiet, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean, there’s not much more you can ask for. If you are on business this is a great bang for your buck. I will definitely stay here again. No complaints at all.

The hotel located at midtown NY and the traffic outside the hotel is horrible. So, if you drive by yourself, you are warned. Also, the hotel said they have self parking on their webpage. Turns out, they will ask you to park at a commercial parking garage less than a quarter mile away and there is no self parking. The hotel room is a bit small but that is expected. They offered a lot of charging ports inside the rooms but some of them are broken. The closet is just a joke, two adult winter jackets are enough to fill it up. The wall is thin and you can easily hear people talking from other rooms. Fortunately, the bathroom is very nice.

Room was clean but small, but that's expected being in Manhattan. Bed was very comfortable and even being right next to the elevators, we heard nothing at night. Lots of places to eat/drink/see nearby, 34th St/Penn Station Subway just a block over. The street itself was a little sketch at night, but we didn't have any issues. Staff was super friendly and accommodating...I asked for more towels and there was a knock on the door less than 10 minutes later. All in all, we would definitely stay again.

Because Jonathan at the Front Desk was understanding , friendly, professional as well as stylish. He upgraded my room and it was soo posh, sleek and beautiful. It's my favorite little piece of heaven. It's not far from Times square or 34 street. And did I mention the views? ... I didn't?! .. Well the views from the top floor rooms.. so pretty and night time city lights.. Become entrance with the beauty and allure of the city. I will definitely be staying there again. And you should too!
