Horrible thug security guards who like to try to stop people recording in public near the Hotel (their place of employment), curse at the public and threaten violence against property and people. Arrow security is killing any reputation of respectability this Hotel may have had at some point. Avoid at all costs!

For a somewhat classy place with expensive rooms they hire the worst security personnel who come out onto the public sidewalk like a gangs and attempt to put hand on a public citizen exercising his rights in public legally. You should fire everyone of those tyrant cop wannabe β€œsecurity” guards and hire a new company, hopefully one that is educated.

Disgusting place. Disgusting hotel being secured by top flight securities of the world. They are gangsters trying to intimidate the public walking on a public side walk. Idiot securities like that are the problem In New York!

This place has decided to become an encampment for "migrants". The place has a strong odor of Marijuana and the sidewalk in front of the place is littered with electronic scooters and migrants hanging around.

You guys should know that if you're on the sidewalk, you're allowed to be filmed. That's considered public. You're in public it doesn't look like the people that work there understand Basic laws they kind of seem like a gang.

HORRIBLE!! Avoid this place at ALL costs. The gang member "security" will violate your rights and threaten you while surrounding you and creating conflict where there isn't any. Your money will be better spent elsewhere. Pathetic cowards.

Love the roof top. The rooms were good but not excellent of course. Actually used the roof top another time when we did not stay in the hotel. Used to walk down to Whole foods and buy breakfast and eat it at the roof top.

wow, I just seen a video of this hotel with the security company that takes care of this hotel. Wow how ghetto could you go hiring those type of people to embarrass this hotel the way they treated the public is very disrespectful and nasty. I hope this company consider of changing the whole security company because the people they hire are horrible, you gotta do better with your security company I'm sure if the security company is garbage the whole hotel is garbage

Wow I was thinking of staying at this place as it shares my name and I thought that might add some quirky fun to my NYC visit but then I saw the THUG security who in this video surrounded a man with a camera and accosted him on the sidewalk for filming. Now as a tourist I was hoping to do a LOT of filming while in NYC but I'm not going anywhere near these thugs, you need to sort your staff out because this video doesn't lie: https://youtu.be/-DprnJL9M-A?si=PBnP4aAPjC115UmG&t=2319

Your company doesn't care to train security about the constitutional laws we have as public members, probably because the company doesn't care about the public, just their money. Your security team behaved like a gang. Poor display of humanity.

Nice Hotel. Clean and in a good location. Very small rooms. We took the two queen beds and added a folded bed (for 25$ a night), which was the worst! You could hear every turn and every move of the kid on it, and it kinda broke her back... In addition - there are only 4 tiny elevators to the 10th and above floors, which made our coming and going up and down VERY SLOW!!!!! Elevators are old, and small, and even a full one opened in every floor.

Made our reservations the last minute and had no problems getting a room. Did the reservations online, and it was super easy. Very friendly staff, and very clean place. When registering in, we were greeted with a smile and kindness. Our housekeeper Vera was very pleasant and even left us a few extras. We ate in the Skylight Lounge two nights, and in the Gotham Cafe for breakfast one morning. The staff was very pleasant and the food was excellent. I really feel that for what we had to eat, the prices were very reasonable and the portions were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Had a pleasant stay before we had to catch our cruise.

The hotel was great (pre-covid) I heard from people that this hotel turned into a homeless shelter. But once they stop doing that this place will be good once again. The pros: It's near time's square. Rooms are modern. Bathroom is clean. Staff are kind too you. It's has a outdoor pool. (Summer only.) The cons: Lighting here are bad. Parking is not free. No free breakfast. Parts of the hotel looks dated. Food is costly. Overall, I think that this hotel is a great value under 175 and don't pass on this when this hopefully reopens.

The truth about this place it’s that the staff it’s not respectful and they think they are above anyway specially with people outside that are walking in the public easement they think it’s private property but it’s not and plus they’re all very disrespectful acting like a gang members this place should be shut down and rebuild and hire new employees with a better attitude for the community plain and simple it should be Shut down ASAP

The security staff was nothing but a bunch of convicts, drug addicts, and hoodlums. This place deserves to be closed for being such an unprofessional environment.

Good price and location for the money good bed pillows and good night sleep. The elevators are terrible and take a very long time. The ice machines are almost all broken. The soda machines don't always work. The air conditioner doesn't work. The toilet does not flush properly and is very loud like I think the entire floor knows your flushing loud. Overall I would stay here again for price and location but the hotel could use some work. Staff is very friendly. And the exceptions desk is very, very helpful. We had a great tour with the tickets we bought there.

Check in was easy and pleasant. The hotel lobby is very modern and attractive. The rest of the hotel is very old and out dated and in much need of repair. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room but that was about it. The room itself was old and looked very dirty. There were stains all over the walls. All of the furniture was banged up and damaged. For the price we paid we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. The one bonus of course is the roof top pool!

The rooms are decent. Beds are comfortable! Housekeeping was awesome!! What I did not like was I was not aware until the second day of my trip that I had free breakfast vouchers. That should have been given at the time of check in. Other than that place was good , close to tourist locations. Also a/c was not available since weather outside was cool. But inside the hotel was hot!! Only heaters available.

This hotel volunteered to be used as a homeless shelter (as it was for the better part of the pandemic). It brought rampant crime and public drug use to a relatively quiet residential area, all to win a city contract. Avoid at all costs. It baffles me that people who recently stayed at this β€œhotel” gave it anything more than one star.

Located in a great central location. Nice rooms and swimming pool. Plenty of amenities including very clean rooms, linen and guest areas. Located near everything including clothing stores, food and pharmacies. World class food and tons of sight seeing activities nearby; including plays, musicals, art, water views and lots of museums to visit. Large airports are nearby, including plenty of busses, taxis and Uber to travel around the area. Bicycles, mopeds and scooters are also very popular. World class meeting rooms and quality caterers are available, and lots of space for meetings and parties. The hotel is close to other local activities and cities that contribute to a variety of things to do... Enjoy a peaceful rest sleep in a fabulous room, the awake to eat and enjoy a delicious breakfast in a stunning dining room with excellent dining service, and plan the day of business or play. Take the train to visit unique clothing stores or take a taxi to the city and visit amazing museums and cultural sites. There are numerous beautiful parks with paths to walk, picnic spaces to eat and relax, or water fountains to visit and throw pennies into for good luck. Take a relaxing boat ride or jump on the subway to numerous locations and destinations. Busses are everywhere and are easy to access and very affordable for travel around the city. The people are friendly and the hotel and surrounding area in has people from all over the world both visiting and working, making it a very diverse place. The hotel is worth the visit and time. Lots of things to do; anyone can find what they need and there's always activities to do. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms smell fresh and the linens are clean and spotless. The hallways are clean are well maintained. The pool is clean and the deck has plenty of chairs for sitting by the pool. The lobby is clean and always attended, and the staff is very polite and professional. The building has a history that will enhance any visit, and the professional staff and quality services make the hotel a must visit for everyone. Once outside the hotel, beautiful parks, shopping and retail, business events and delicious restaurants are just steps away from the hotel doors. Popular transportation by area residents is walking, bicycle, scooter, taxi, bus, train, boat, and subway trains. A must vist anytime of the year.

The beds are VERY comfortable. The value was excellent for the location and the pool. The hotel staff was extremely friendly during every interaction. The hotel has signs of wear and tear. My shower water went completely cold mid shower around noon and the first couple days we had keep problems. But we enjoyed our stay. If you're in New York City, you probably aren't in your room very often and all you truly need is a safe place with cimfocomforbeds and hot showers. This place gives you that. Seriously, the beds are great.

We loved our stay at The Watson--had breakfast vouchers, so that got each day off to a wonderful start. Found the hotel to be clean, quiet (for NYC), and in all respects nice, including staff. Some aspects/furnishings showed some age, but were functional and clean--kind of like home. Location very convenient to stores for basics and to mass transit, bus stops and Columbus Circle subways. We went to the World Trade Center area, Korea Town, Murray Hill, Midtown East, Jersey City, and even Washington Heights, in addition to some exploring around Hell's Kitchen--all easy mostly by subway, bus, or reasonable walks. Next time, maybe we'll make to the museums nearby, as well. We'll be glad to stay here again, when the next opportunity arises.

The hotel is decently located, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It is a bit old but has a comfy feel. Our room's ac was under part and the toilets could use some updating. This is my third year coming to this hotel (used to be a holiday inn) because it is convent lyrics located for my work. All in all it is good but do not expect plush luxury. Great place to crash in NYC!

Roaches and drug addicts. Worthless statistics "work" as guards. You want to get robbed? You want herpes? You got it all in on stop.
