I'm two days in to a four day stay here, and it's great so far. The room is small for a king sized bed, but we have a corner room with a great view. We're walking distance to the theater for the site we came to see. Excellent dining choices all around us, for just a brief walk. So far we went to Carmine's for Italian and Juniors for cheesecake. One of the best measures of a hotel or motel, in my opinion, is the shower. Nothing relaxes when you travel like a good shower. The shower here is nothing short of luxurious. It's spacious, and has a really wonderful rainfall shower head. There's a pricey mini bar and snack tray in the room, but you get a $20 credit in the mini fridge. A small refrigerator is available upon request. We've yet to try the restaurant and bar here. This seems like the perfect place to stay for a Broadway weekend.

We arrived early after a red eye flight. The lady we encountered with first was very kind and helpful. Directed us to the bathrooms to freshen up and then we checked our bags until they notified us when our room was ready. Later that afternoon we checked in, they were very unfriendly. We got up to our room and it was not the room we booked (paid extra for a corner room), notified the front desk and they questioned us, made us forward our email (we booked through a 3rd party) and they ended up moving us. Room was actually smaller. The actual room and hotel was quite disgusting. It is in desperate need of an upgrade. There was definite room for some major cleaning. Toothpaste on the tile next to the mirror, dust on the light sconces, dirty floors, worn furniture, not even sure what was all over the walls in the room and the hallway. Bell hop and baggage attendants were so nice. The area is Times Square it is disgusting!! Homeless people everywhere, disgusting smells and just filth everyone outside of the hotel. It is convenient but I will never stay here again. It was so expensive and I think a low end best western would’ve been nicer.

This hotel is extremely swanky and the first impression I had was that the oils they have make the hotel areas smell very nice! I loved the Zen Garden behind the front desk which was a great compliment with the wonderful staff at the desk. Arrival and departure were extremely efficient and accurate. The bar made some pretty strong cocktails with delightful service. Great suite on a high floor and extremely clean. Will certainly stay again.

The staff at the InterContinental Times Square is the most helpful. They really went above and beyond to make our stay an exceptional experience and ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The rooms offered comfort, a great view, modern amenities and beds with the utmost comfort. The hotel’s commitment to providing a serene and inviting space was evident!! A special thanks to Judy and Greg for all of their help!

Modern, luxurious hotel in a great location. Subway entrance right on the corner, a hop and a skip from Broadway theaters, with amazing views. Close enough to Times Square to easily access, but far enough to have a little peace and quiet. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a wonderful rainfall shower. It was also stocked with premium toiletries. The location is not the cheapest, but we'll worth the price. Stinger Bar and Restaurant on-site was also good. When booking, inquire about room rates that include dining credits; they're usually an overall better value. Definitely worth paying a little extra for a higher floor. You won't regret the views!

The location of this hotel is awesome! The rooms were nice (although small) and the beds were super comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooms don’t have microwaves or fridges. There is a $35 daily amenity charge and items from the minibar are super expensive. Just one can of soda costs $8!!

We stayed at the Intercontinental during a recent trip to New York. The room on the 7th floor was decently sized. The double sided beds were surprising comfortable. Room service did a very good job of keeping the room clean each day. Location was amazing. 2 minute walk away from a number of theatres. 3 minute walk from Times Square. The building was surprisingly quiet given the central location. The front staff was friendly and efficient. It was a great place to come back to at the end of every day.

Firstly, the cost of staying here for 3 nights over Easter was roughly $1800, breakfast and tax included. It’s an almost outrageous price for a four star hotel. However, I will say that the staff here are on point. Requests were quickly met, nothing was too much trouble and they were polite. The only negative thing about staying here (other than the cost) is the breakfast setup. We prepaid for breakfast, but still had to wait 30 minutes just to get into the restaurant. Then, if you were there later in the service, many items from the menu were not available. Would we stay again? Probably not. Was it worth the cost? Probably not. But we certainly enjoyed our stay.

Truly a great place to stay. The location is perfect to experience everything Manhattan/Times Square. Times Square was a block or 2 away, Broadway was also only a few blocks away. The area had food galore. The hotel itself was extremely clean and well manicured. The only two thing I had any issue with is the rooms don't have black out curtains. My room was facing Times Square and it is a well lit place. I would've like the option to block out some light for a good nights rest, though I sleep very comfortably. Also the pillows were extremely thin, i had to fold it three times to get well positioned for sleep.

This hotel is nice but not luxurious. The lobby was average but might just be what you get in NYC. The elevators were fast and convenient, I never had to wait long for it to show up. The hotel is very conveniently located to Time Square, great restaurants, and other entertainment. The rooms were small but all of the furniture in them was pretty modern and nice. The bathroom was pretty nice with a waterfall shower. The staff seemed fine. Housekeeping did a great job at maintaining my room. I was alerted ahead of time about thing that would not be available due to COVID protocol, which was very helpful. All and all it was a good stay and would definitely return and recommend this hotel. Finally, the view from my room was finominal.

I stayed in a superior king size suite and it was very spacious for NYC standards. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, it felt like I could walk in just my socks without the fear of decades of dirt and grime being stuck on the floor. The room was also cleaned daily, along with fresh towels and toiletries restocked... and when they cleaned there was a certain aroma in the air that smelled so good. Idk what cleaning products they use, but they smell great! This is the first luxury hotel I stayed at in NYC and it was a very good experience. The only "con" was that the surfaces were a tiny bit dusty... but nothing too major. The sheets were silky smooth, and the mattress was super comfortable. The hotel is also a few minutes walk (3 min) to times square which is actually okay... it was nice to sleep without all of the noise outside making its way into the room. There's also a subway station right next door which I found very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed a week to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The hotel is walking distance from all the mayor attractions. We walked everywhere. The staff was so helpful, specially the doorman. They answer all my questions n gave me directions to all the places we wanted to visit. The room was always clean and fresh towels every day. The view from our room was amazing. Totally enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We stayed here for what was meant to be my 21st birthday, however due to travel restrictions in England we had to postpone until i was 22. We travelled mainly via the subway and was surprised at how close the hotel was to a station, it is just across the street. We got engaged on our stay and the hotel was an amazing place to stay at such a special time. The hotel was beautiful and we had a huge king sized bed. We had a corner room with two walls being amazing floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view. It took about 3 minutes to walk to times square and we felt safe at all times. We realised in the early hours of the morning that we had forgotten to bring one of our chargers and my partner walked down the street to a store and felt completely safe. All staff were extremely helpful and we will be returning to this hotel if we come back to NYC, which we hope to do!

Cannot say enough how great of a stay we had. Super friendly staff that helps you out of the car, to the front desk and up to your room. We had a small incident during our stay (no fault of the hotel) and had the opportunity to work with a Sr. Exec. (Megan) who made everything right without hesitation. I was impressed! Still impressed, and will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Keep up the good work peeps!

Well…it’s my first time at Intercontinental and I would never stay with them again. This review will be useful for future guests and those traveling with pets! What I didn’t like: 1. Their rooms are very dirty! They don’t clean under the beds, my cat found an open old oat bar and started to lick it, luckily we’ve seen in time and cleaned some garbage under the bed. Lots of dust behind the table with old bottles, cups and food leftovers that we partially cleaned. Windows are beautiful but dusty too. 2. There is no space in the fridge, just their minibar! Tricky minibar, be careful if with pet or kids. If the item from minibar (the fridge or the one on the table) was moved from its position, they charge you automatically to your account. 3. The front desk guy who met us upon arrival was rude (maybe it’s just New York mentality) 4. They don’t sort recycle and trash! There is useless recycle bin in your room, in the end they put everything to trash when cleaning. Nobody cares. What I liked: 1. Beautiful view from my windows. 2. Comfortable bed 3. Great location My overall experience was okay, but its not worth the money you pay for it, wouldn’t come back.

As is the case with all Intercontinental properties, this experience was outstanding. Rooms were immaculate and in perfect condition. Staff and Service just incomparable. The Intercontinental brand understands that they are in the hospitality business and everything they do is laser focused on guest service. Will be anxious to return to this property.

A Travelers Experience. Buyer Beware. Cost:  Location: 3-5 Service: 2-5 Room: 2-5 At check-in, one will be greeted by the front of the hotel staff, which will be pleasant.  Once one sees the room with no view of the outside world besides building walls on one of the lowest floors they’ll be like okay, I can deal. However, below the surface cleaning of the room, one will find that the minibar is broken and filled with past guest MOLDY food with most of the minibar snacks and drinks missing and or from early 2020, stale. Okay, you’ll be able to handle that too. Now, your A/C will be broken the first night so it will be hot in the room but you’ve traveled for an entire day and night so you’ll call to report the issues in the morning. Morning comes, you report the problem, and the A/C gets fixed. Minibar is still broken and filled with moldy past guests' discarded food. The second night A/C breaks maintenance comes out to fix it and a few hours later it breaks again. Another hot, sweaty night. Third-night minibar still broken A/C still broken and management has yet to call and try to accommodate or move you to a new room. Now, your key to the elevator doesn’t work. Management doesn’t help, front desk acts like your an annoyance for trying to get a new key. With that said, your best experience will be at check out and leaving the hotel. THE END.  Intercontinental in Time Square management trying to remedy an issue and make your stay pleasant, NOPE. After days of thinking about this review, I feel our experience should be known to other travelers.

Not only was the lady at the front desk not wearing a mask but she also behaved as if helping me and my family was a burden. After arriving to my room, I stepped in a seeping puddle of strange liquid that spread further into my bed frame as time went by. Only after several complaints did the hotel representative reluctantly move us to another room. The new room was supposedly 'of the same category' yet the view was of a construction site, the noise level was like I was sleeping next to a subway that next stops running, and the interior was like my grandmother's 1940 bedroom. My kids were excited to use the mini fridge to store their leftovers and moved items around not knowing our hotel room would be charged. When I explained this to the front desk, they refused to issue a refund, despite all drinks remaining intact and placed back into their correct locations. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Please save your money and stay at any other hotel.

This hotel was pretty decent. Everything was an add on which might be expected as a NYC hotel, but for the luxurious price it just seemed a bit too much. I was unaware that there was no room service which was severely disappointing since the food places around here are not open as late as I would Have hoped. And on top of that there's no microwave or anything so I couldn't even. Ring food back. The furniture is nice, but the rooms were unexpectedly small which through me off. The lighting situation made it very difficult to share a room since we couldn't use the bathroom light without turning on the light to the entry way which was just bright. The staff was very nice which helped along with the view. The hotel was clean and maintained which was also great. Overall it's a decent place, but for the price for what you get compared to other NYC hotels it just fell short. It was almost as if it was a very upscale motel masquerading as an elegant hotel.

Location, location, location! Very nice hotel, steps from Times Square. I had a few challenges but the staff worked super hard to make it right. My family had an excellent stay. The mattress and bedding are very comfortable. The bathroom and shower are more than adequate and enjoyable. The skyviews are amazing. Would definitely return!

Nice hotel, great location, staff were very attentive and polite. A few minor gripes, we didn't have coffee replenished every day and kept having to ask for it to be done, broken drawer which did not get fixed while we were there, unbelievably expensive mini bar drinks (I know they're normally expensive but $12 for water!) We would stay here again because the location is great and the rooms were a good standard just very minor things they could get sorted.

Walkable to most attractions in downtown Manhattan, a short walk to Times Square and accessible by subway with a blue line A/E line entrance next door to the hotel. Reception staff are surprisingly friendly by NY standards and rooms are clean modern and a good size. Like most hotels in New York, they charge a quite simply ridiculous fee to “better enhance your stay” (fees are published when you book so it’s not a surprise and unfortunately the norm which is widely spreading across the world in major tourist locations), part of that includes a $25 credit in the restaurant which I did use, that is what let’s the hotel down, service is awful in there. Other than that recommended hotel.

Before booking, I was quite aware of this intercontinental issues ( credit card charges - admin issues) that many people commented here. I was quite doubtful and not sure if I was choosing correctly. But my experience with this hotel was perfect. Fast and smooth check in . Rooms were big and very well isolated from the noisy city. I didn’t have any problem with the fridge since I only picked up what I was going to consume and ended up using my daily credit. Spent 10 days and I can assure that this hotel is up to the mark.

The hotel was very nice. Room is a very good size. Plenty of space. Employees were all very helpful and friendly. The quality of the hotel is very high. Nice finishes. Great shower and bath amenities, quality towels etc. it’s what you’d expect from luxury accommodations. The pillows were too soft but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet while good was too expensive for what it offers. A latte shouldn’t be an extra cost when the breakfast costs $49 after required 18% gratuity on a self service buffet. Would definitely stay again.

We would highly recommend this hotel!! The location was perfect- close enough to walk many of the places we went (Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park), yet removed from the crowds. The room was spacious and clean (it appeared to have been recently renovated) and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and check-in/out quick and easy. All-around an extremely well-run hotel. We will absolutely be back!

My son and I had a great experience with this hotel. It is located close to Times Square. There was a conference going on and the hotel was pretty full however the staff recognized my membership and upgraded our room. The day we checked out, we went to the airport to catch our flight, however they canceled our flight due to bad weather. I called the hotel and the staff went above and beyond and they were able to give me a room for another night.

This hotel was perfect for us! I read the reviews before I left and was a little worried about people's complaints but really, I had nothing to worry about. Check in was seamless, they took my credit card details and held $300 but this was a hold and not a charge. We were informed about the weighted fridge, but told that should we need to chill any items they could bring a small fridge to our room. Obviously we didn't have to carry our own suitcases up, these were brought to us. In addition to the weighted fridge there is also a weighted display on the surface top, this has water, crisps and biscuits on, anything that's

First I would like to say the staff at the Intercontinental is stellar, super kind, helpful the doormen were the best. The location is just outside of all the lights and noise. Unfortunately we will not stay at this hotel again. 500$ a night for the worst toilet paper in the world. I know, sounds petty but come on one ply! At least the room was clean. The bed is comfy and loved the pillows. We received a phone call from house keeping asking us if we wanted service. I wish there was something like a door hanger that would help with this communication. Oh wait there is. The breakfast was the worst experience I have had at this this hotel so far. (I am here for another 4 nights.) My husband saw the eggs Benedict on the menu and was excited to order it for breakfast. Turns out the menu he saw was just for room service. I wonder if he could have ordered it in the room and taken it down to the dining room? When we figured out how the breakfast worked and went to the buffet we saw there was a large assortment and lots of it. It was terrible. Eggs from a milk carton cleverly called fluffy eggs. They were so wet you could scoop out the moisture with the serving spoon. A slotted spoon would have helped. When the server explained to us about how the breakfast works he brought us our drinks he poured me a little under half a cup (I’m sure for cream and sugar which I don’t use) and was never seen or heard from again. My husband had a scoop of eggs and a fruit cup. He was so disappointed the only thing he said was good was the single pineapple chunk in the cup. When we were done eating we waited around for the server and figured that because the meal was included with the room rate that we were to just leave. Why wouldn’t we think that I mean we were never acknowledged by any staff after the coffee and juice were dropped off. So we walked out. And finally there is the server telling me to wait he had to give me the check. He asked me if it was included in my stay I said yes. He mumbled something and handed me a check that was over 90$. I almost freaked out like he should have been ashamed of himself. And the worst part there was a line that said tip! The first time in my whole life that I did not leave a tip I kind of feel bad because our servers actions do not reflect the wait staff as a whole there was a very nice server buzzing around his tables refilling juice and coffee asking about his tables stay and food. Ours just happened to suck. To be continued……. It’s my last night of our stay at the Intercontinental. Because we are already paying for the breakfast buffet we went down to it for a couple mornings and the service was great. I did request not to be sat in the section of the first server of our stay. I still feel the staff here is amazing. We ordered room service for breakfast this morning the husband loved the eggs Benedict. Our breakfast was about the same price as the buffet with better options. Would recommend 5/5. The housekeeping did a great job when I accidentally forgot to put out my door hanger they did not just open the door but waited for me to acknowledge that I was in the room.

One of the best check-in experiences of any hotel I’ve stayed in. We tried the IHG Ambassador program this year, and it has been such an exceptional experience at all the IHG hotels we’ve stayed at. The Times Square Intercontiental has been the best though, hands down. The employee Rose was so kind, attentive, and positive during our check-in process. She was helpful, accommodated some mishaps I made in the booking process, and allowed us to check in a bit earlier than check-in because our room was ready. The room is pristine, bathroom beautiful, nice view of New York. Our trip isn’t even over yet, but I wanted to hammer out this review just because of how impressed I am by this hotel at this point. This experience alone is enough to convince me to renew the Ambassador program.

My Mother and I took a dual birthday trip to NYC and chose The Intercontinental Hotel for our stay. We’re incredibly glad we did. Rooms were clean and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly but it’s the doormen that I’m focusing on as I write this review. As most of us know, NYC has an issue with the homeless population and to say there isn’t any at certain areas of the City is completely untrue, they are everywhere. What made this situation tolerable for us around the immediate area of the hotel were the 3 gentlemen in particular, Charles, Abu and Burt! These guys were absolutely incredible people. Helpful, Kind, respectful and always made my Mother and myself feel safe… SAFE… that was key to us. They always watched out for their guests and even people who were just passing through. I cannot thank them enough for that. I would certainly come back to stay just because of them, yes, just because of them. I cannot express my gratitude for them enough and I don’t have enough words for them except… bravo and thank you so very much. I came as a stranger and left feeling as if they were my family. To the management team, you’ve got 3 winners as staff members, do not let them go anywhere!

Pretty good Hotel to stay near times square. The service was amazing we got help by Nick at the front desk and he made our New York trip easier giving is recommendations + early check in and we had a great conversation even after he was getting out of works the guy went above and beyond also the guys taking care of our bags and calling our uber. Overall I had an amazing experience with the employees and also in the hotel including the breakfast 🍳. Will definitely stay here again in my next visit. Highly recommended

My friends and I stayed at this Hotel in October and we were so glad we did. It's a prime location but away from all the lights in Times Square. Just across the street is a subway access. I recommend the higher up rooms (we were on the 25th floor) to have a quieter night when sleeping. The beds are comfortable. All toiletries provided by the hotel are good quality. I appreciate the slippers and robes they provided. The staff are so helpful as well. I will be coming back to stay here for sure.

The location of the hotel is great, it is near enough to Times Square but yet far enough to not be as crazy and loud. Lots of restaurants nearby from Hells Kitchen and easy walk to all of the theaters. Subway station on the corner was handy for getting to Downtown/Brooklyn locations. Beds and pillows were comfy. Great shower, soft towels. Bathroom was clean and for most part room was clean. The snack tray bottles/boxes were dusty, indicating they have been there awhile. Note that you get charged automatically as the tray has a weight sensor. The mini fridge is only for mini bar, no room to store anything of your own. Mini bar items pricey, plus 20% restocking fee. Part of these items were covered bye the mandatory "Amenity Fee" of $35 +$5 in taxes. So be aware of the extra $40/night on your stay. Had good cocktails in the Stinger lounge. Again a bit pricy but part of the charge is covered by the aforementioned Amenity fee. Overall, good stay, just be aware of extra charges.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights during the weekend of the NYC Marathon. Couldn’t be happier with our choice. Rooms were very clean, the hotel was quiet at night, and the location was central to everything we needed. Front desk staff were helpful and check in and checkout were both very easy and quick. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again the next time we’re in the city. Thank you for a wonderful and enjoyable stay!

Great location, good amenities, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The doormen, bellmen, front desk staff were the absolute best. My wife and I stayed in Sept. during the busy U.S. Open, but we were treated as if we were the only ones staying there. We will definitely return!

Rooms are gorgeous, including wonderful bedding which is soft and comfortable. Centrally located and surrounded by any kind of food you could possibly want. The staff was really helpful, even finding me a room long before check in because my plane got in early. I felt very safe and absolutely will be back.

This Hotel was wonderful all around and would recommend for anyone in the area. After an extremely disappointing stay at another IHG hotel nearby, we checked out early and headed to stay at the Intercontinental. From the lobby, to the rooms, to the staff, and the restaurant, everything was outstanding. The rooms were made every day, and the room service staff were extremely friendly. The restaurant was very nice, food was great, and the staff were wonderful. The hotel has baggage check for those arriving early or leaving late. There are six elevators, which means no waiting for a ride. This hotel saved our family vacation and I couldn't be more pleased.

Absolutely outstanding experience. Lovely hotel and superb staff. The manager, John, and doorman, Hector, went out of their way to help us feel right at home. That is a BIG statement for the Big Apple, if you know New York! We will definitely be back. Thank you Intercontinental for a wonderful stay. If we could give you more than 5 stars, we would!

Very good location, with shake shack around the corner and other food joints. Hotel itself is fairly modern. Room was kept clean and of a good size. VERY comfortable beds. Showers were powerful and views were good. We stayed in a corner sky room. In house bar is expensive and a dull environment. Laundry prices displayed in room were incorrect, had to nudge reception more than a few times for certain requests, which is frustrating as they have adequate number of staff on site. Direct area outside of hotel attracts a high number of drug addicts who also congregate at the subway point linked to hotel, however door staff do try their best to usher them away.

Every staff member I can in contact with was so polite and helpful (front desk, bellmen, housekeepers, restaurant). Our housekeeper was especially a pleasure to interact with. I think her name was Eunice (we were there OCT/7-8) room 2420). Please give her a 5 star thanks! Great job Intercontinental NY!

We very much enjoyed a weeks stay at the intercontinental. All of the staff we encountered were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. We stayed in a studio suite which was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The shower was fantastic, bed comfy. Couldn’t ask for more. It was during a heatwave, but the A/C in the hotel and the room was more than capable of keeping the temperature down. Would happily return if we come back to New York. The local area outside the hotel isn’t brilliant, but that’s nothing to do with the hotel itself.

I was in Manhattan last week and stayed at the Intercontinental. If you plan on staying here, you may find this review helpful: 1) The staff at the front door is very friendly. My car door was opened when I arrived, and someone helped me with my luggage. 2) The hotel lobby is quite small. I was not impressed. 3) The ATM machine does not work. 4) They have 1 restaurant which offers breakfast. They only have 2 options. Their Orange juice is not real Orange Juice. Its the colour Orange with lots of sugar, and water. If your staying for multiple days, do not get the breakfast included. There are far better options available outside the hotel for half the price. 5) The rooms are small. I had a corner room and paid $500 plus per night. Not worth it. The rooms are old. 6) Food will not be delivered to your room. Uber Eats, or Doordash delivery people are asked to leave your order at a table at the front lobby. You food is cold by the time you receive it. 7) They do not exchange currency. 8) They have almost no amenities. 9) They have not cleaned around certain areas of the room in years. I dropped an item which fell behind the desk. When I moved the desk, I found a Utopia of dust, spider webs, and insects. This is by far one of the worst hotels I have had the misfortune of visiting. The only good thing about this hotel was the friendliness of the staff, and its proximity to Times Square. Now that you have read the above, I presume I have saved you from a Horrid experience. Your Welcome!

From the moment we arrived I knew we had chosen the correct hotel. Superb staff, room with a view, room was spotless. Subway right across the street from hotel. We were in the heart of times Square We plan to go back soon and visit places we didn't have a chance to get too. We were able to see a Broadway show. Because we were so close to many things we were able to walk often. We ubered when necessary. It was cold, we came prepared. ❤❤❤

Third stay here and it's a beautiful property. Highlight of each trip has been Rolando who works the daily breakfast. He really makes you feel like royalty and is the best server we had in NYC. Rooms are kept immaculate, great views, and comfortable beds. Area around hotel might seem menacing at times if you're not used to NYC but it's fine. Instant access to the subway as well. Thanks again to Rolando. Crazy that we book a hotel simply because of one employee but he really does make the vacation special.
