Less then a 1 minute walk to times square, Asked for a room with a Good view and was on 49th floor out of 53. Was incredibly, could see Chrysler Building, empire state, times square. Hotel is really clean, comfy beds and powerful showers. Housekeeping came every day and are very kind. Upon checkout we got the hotel concierge service, 95 dollars plus tip. In a huge chevy car, felt like I was in a movie. What a great way to end our holiday/vacation. Mark is also very friendly and good to talk too. Received Security deposit back within a day of checking out. 10/10 highly recommended this hotel Thank you 😊

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. How this hotel had 4 stars is absolutely beyond me. Do NOT be mislead by the website pictures. The lobby looks swanky and gives you the impression you’re staying in a decent hotel, until you walk in your room. The entirety of the room has probably not been updated or touched since the hotels inception. The paint is literally peeling off the walls to start. It smells musty and weird. The bathroom. Oh the bathroom. Mold all over the tiles in the shower. The tub was GROSS. The stopper for the tub was broken off. The shower didn’t drain well so you had to bathe in 4-5 inches of filthy water in a dirty tub. The carpet was absolutely repulsive; covered in stains and extremely gritty and sticky. Probably why the room smelled so weird. And despite the A/C unit saying it was set on 65, nothing but warm air would blow out making a gross room even more unbearable. Broken, outdated furniture. Bed like a brick and pillows as thin as paper. Horrible, HORRIBLE experience that I do not recommend to anyone. Do not waste your money on this hotel. There are many more options just as close and in the same price range. To make it worse, when we received the “survey” from the hotel, we filled it out to submit and it conveniently stated that the website was no longer active to submit responses to as soon as we finished. So here I am, hoping someone will see this and avoid the same trip we had.

The best part is obviously location, right there very near Times Square and all the attractions. The hotel and building itself is kinda dated but maintenance is ok. Not the best but not bad either. The service is fairly good, staff are reasonably accommodating, they also have service that you can leave your luggage before or after check-in/check out. Their gym is just so so, not bad. Obviously no pool. But price/value wise it's quite read especially for the location.

Initially my boyfriend and I were excited about the view we had with our room. We were celebrating a special occasion. After the initial excitement died down we noticed a few things that were odd. There was no mini fridge, no microwave, a horrible cigarette smell, and leaking/clogging of the sink. We could look past the microwave and fridge. But brought the other issues to multiple employees that did not address all of the issues nor our concerns. We came back to a cleaned up room after a morning out, but when it came time to get ready for our evening showing the shower water was freezing cold and would not heat up. We called the front desk and told them, we were told that it was a building issue. This inconvenience left us to wait an extra hour to get ready and caused us to miss the beginning of our scheduled showing. When we returned later that evening we wanted to wash up and go to sleep. Again the sink flooded and began to leak profusely. I called the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. The manager Rachel was rude and questioned why we waited to report the issue. I explained that this was an issue we already addressed multiple times. The manager was not willing to be empathetic nor show concern that our experience was turning into a nightmare. My boyfriend took over the conversation as I began to get noticeably upset. I was ready to just be done with the trip early. Rachel had the audacity to ask my boyfriend “umm who is she?” and tell him she didn’t understand why I was upset.. We checked out right after, a night early. It is unfortunate that this was our experience. We live in New York and expected better. I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a hotel in my life. I would never stay at a Millennium Hotel again even if it was free.

The Millennium Hotel was utterly disgusting. Nearly dilapidated with staff members who seem unhappy and unfriendly in general. I was in my room, and the hotel security brought 5 NYPD officers to my door! I guess since I'm black, I fit the description? In Time Square with cameras EVERYWHERE. Somehow, they found a reason to attempt to implicate me in crime? Having not left my room? I wish I hadn't spent my weekend at Millennium Motel. I couldn't believe they thought what they were saying was reasonable. They demanded I open my door on hear-say accusations. No apologies, no, we made a mistake. Nothing! Humiliation and dissatisfaction for overrated poorly maintained dump. Oops, didn't I mention the extra fees at check-in? OMG, DBL your rate! Plus, if you order food delivery, you have to come down to the lobby. Room without a refrigerator, anyone? The Air Conditioner didn't work, and the HEAT inside the room was unbearable. I opened the windows, but the air was being sucked out, not drawn in. Lofting more HOT air from the hallway into the already stifling hot room. So basically, it was hot, dangerous, and filthy. Management was disrespectful, and security was incompetent. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money. Stay somewhere that has adequate security. Just think while they were harassing me, the criminal was in the building, apparently, doing criminal activities.

The hotel needs major renovation. The furniture in the room is old and broken or just completely worn, and the bathrooms look grimy on the walls, including leaking faucets. That said, the bed was comfortable and things were left clean, but it would be nice if some level of money was spent to revamp the elevator and hotel furniture. It shows you care. You have the best workers in the world! Your team is amazing. Let the furniture reflect that. Redo the panels of the elevator and put in new furniture in each room. Hotel amenities and guest room were issues. My key did not work for part of my stay and it took 4 visits to the front desk to finally have the issue resolved. However, hotels should reflect a home away from home. Broken furniture which I took pictures of because I have never seen furniture so worn and unusable in any hotel I have stayed in before. It seems like making money from guests is more a priority than ensuring our stay is nice and the furniture is decent. We want to see clean, newer, or well-maintained furniture. My dresser drawer was leaning over, completely broken. That is shameful and should be fixed immediately. Management needs to visit every single room in that hotel, document what furniture is broken, scratched, or just overly worn, and replace it. Management should also visit each bathroom and look at the walls, especially at the bottom near the baseboards and repaint or wash the walls to eliminate the grime. Filth is unacceptable and it seems whoever owns the hotel is truly just in it for the money. At this point, I would stay at one of the bigger name-brand hotels and pay extra just to know I will have a comfortable clean room, not having to avoid touching everything due to the filth. I had no paperwork in my room so I have no clue if there was room service, spa service or what was offered in the hotel. There was nothing about New York, not even a Bible. This is only a money-maker for the owner, no one really cares about the rooms themselves. Our furniture was broken and this is ridiculous in 2022.

Me and my husband were there last week for our Anniversary. We had a great experience. The location is great, all the staff are very friendly and professional, and our room was great with a lot of space, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I had mixed feelings before staying there due to reading some bad reviews, but after my stay I realized that people love to trash a place just because something didn’t go their way. People talk about the rooms being dated, but what I saw in the room we stayed is normal and good and clean enough for me. If people talked about the rooms being dirty it’s because they are picky. It was a very affordable hotel for us, very close to everything and very comfortable. I hardly write reviews but I wanted to do this one because I hate that people want to trash this place just because something (that might be minor) is not pleasant to them. I appreciate the great service and stay and when I go back you will be my number one choice again. My only suggestion would be; to offer breakfast at some point. Thanks for a great stay! J. Dixon

For the area and time of year (Christmas eve) this hotel was affordable. The location is perfect; right in Times Square and there's a parking garage directly in front of it. Service was fine. My gripe is with the room itself. No fridge, no microwave, and the shower didn't drain. Water also leaked from the shower all over the bathroom floor because the curtain is cloth. Not a huge deal since I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but had I known how basic the room would be I may have booked elsewhere. If you only care about location and having the most basic room possible then this hotel is fine.

Writing this review while currently on my second day in this hotel. Location amazing! However room is hot and stuffy and the staff at the desk won’t tell you the truth for nothing. I went down this morning because it was 79 degrees in my room the man behind the desk said they would send a maintenance worker up to “override” the thermostat so we can cool our room. Came back 5 hrs later after waking around room was still 79 degrees. Talked to the next guy and he informed me that was a lie all you can do is open the window and turn the thermostat off. But guaranteed it would cool down. Now 5 more hrs later still 79 degrees and the next guy behind the counter said no maintenance go do a trick and make it work. Maintenance man came up said that was a lie and there’s nothing he could do. So here we are sweating in our over priced room with the upgraded view which is just a view of an office building 10/10 do not recommend ever unless your from hell and love heat!

I don't usually write reviews but need to for this hotel. We travelled from Manchester (UK) for a 4 night stay. After a long flight we arrived at the hotel & was told by reception that our upgraded room was not ready due to other guests checking out late & if we wanted we could wait another hour or take a temporary twin room which we decided to take for the first night as we were both shattered! When we asked the receptionist for a refund on the room she replied "it will only be about $35" the cheek of it!!! The twin room was not the greatest but it was bearable for the first night, & we were just hoping our next room would better. The following day we were moved to another room (king size city view) which was slightly better!! We had two complimentary bottles of water!! There was a iron stain on the carpet, a cupboard door fell off but I managed to put it back on! Now for a few positives about the hotel, the housekeeping staff were very friendly, location of the hotel was great, perfect for sightseeing of the city! Negatives, some of the hotel reception staff were not very friendly especially on the first day! Guest rooms a bit dated, needs tea & coffee facilities in the room. Rooms were very warm but luckily the 2nd room had air conditioning which worked. Can honestly say we will not be rushing back to this hotel!

Impressed with everything. Check in and out were both smooth. Concierge, security and front desk all very friendly and helpful. Our room was great and with a view of Times Square that can't be beat. And this may be the first comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel. The pillows were perfect too. If I ever return to NYC (and I hope I do) I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Also, right across the road is a wonderful deli with the best subs and breakfasts.

The hotel has decent views of the surrounding buildings and times square but nothing spectacular. The room we stayed in was pretty beat up. We were told this room was an upgrade. It was a King bed with armchair, desk, and TV stand/dresser on the 46th floor facing south southwest towards the H&M building All the furniture had scratches throughout the structural members, but all fabrics were in good shape. The doors of the closet were missing and the brackets on the floor and ceiling were left behind. This was concerning as it was on the way to the bathroom at a corner and would definitely slice a toe if you were to strike it with your foot. Thankfully we saw this immediately and avoided the corner during our stay. The bathroom fixtures had some slop but functional. All essentials were provided by the hotel. Cleanings were daily and thorough. The bedding was clean and of good quality, slightly itchy, but comfy. Pillows were goose down feather. Overall the hotel as a whole should be gone through and renovated. It does look dated (late 90s vibes) and from our room experience the furniture and other decorations are near the end of their life cycle. We did not mention any concerns with the staff as our stay was overall comfortable. I would think we could have found a more updated establishment for the same cost (900 for two nights with taxes and fees) had we taken more time to research.

Alot of reviews are negative but I think its important to understand what you are getting. The hotel is centrally located in Times Square. Huge plus from a travel perspective ! The hotel is definitely older and showing signs of wear. The carpets, the curtains and the bed and bedding. However for the price you really cant beat it. The water was warm. the room temp was fine. The bedding and bed left me a little overwhelmed but the staff was nice and the check in process was great. I checked in at 4PM and there was a long line. Not only were they checking in people fast - someone came out to thank us, prep us to help with the process. If you are looking for a frilly hotel, plush bedding and new amenities then you may want to look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a standard solid nice hotel located in the heart of midtown and Times Square with all the basics more than covered than this is the spot. Thanks!

Would not recommend staying here to anyway. The pictures posted by the hotel are deceiving and not an accurate representation of the actual rooms, Or at least the room we received. Upon arriving we were told our room Wasn’t ready and to come in an hour - mind you we arrived at 6:00pm. When we were finally able to check in after dinner we were less than thrilled with the accommodations. The mattresses were stiff as a board, the linens were paper thin, the pillows were thin, water damage and mold in the bathroom. Want to charge your devices? Don’t worry there’s an old outdated power strip for that. The furniture was broken and doors to the cabinet were missing. For over $450 a night the room was TERRIBLE! I immediately started looking for a new place to stay, checked out the next day and will never return. Location means a lot but if you don’t even feel like can relax and feel comfortable in a $450+ per night hotel room…location means nothing. How do I get a refund for the 13 hours I stayed is what I would like to know.

I was initially concerned after reading the some of the reviews here but after my stay I’m convinced that quite possibly the reviewers have never stayed in midtown Manhattan or maybe are under the impression that all hotels are The Plaza. Well I’m not paying for The Plaza and the hotel is a fine value not just for the money but in the quality of the experience. I’ll say that I paid more for a high floor, so perhaps the rooms are significantly different, but I can’t imagine they’re that different! The hotel was centrally located of course, a map can tell you that, the staff was warm and welcoming, the lobby was well appointed. Did the room have some odd dents and dings here and there? Yes, but it didn’t effect the overall aesthetics or functionality of anything. And one of the larger rooms I’ve stayed in in Manhattan for a very fair price. The view: I lived in Manhattan for many years and needed to see the skyline again and was not disappointed for a few dollars extra! It was a perfect oasis in the middle of the City at an affordable price, will absolutely stay again and have already recommended to others wanting to stay in midtown.

There should be a disclosure stating you DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THERMOSTAT IN YOUR ROOM . It seriously got up to maybe 85 degrees in the room. We couldn’t sleep comfortably. We should have gone to another hotel at the get go but we were hopeful for some remedy. Needless to say staff doesn’t really care about your comfort. Best part of service was the cleaning staff. Our view sucked. The bellman was an a-hole on our way out. Overall i loathed this experience. Thanks for taking our money and baking us alive in our rooms

Rooms are clean and are equipped with a comfortable bed but could be refurbished. For that reason 4 out of 5 starts for the room. Service is almost not existing... just at reception. But friendly staff. The location is prime... just a few steps away from times square.

Pros: the staff at this hotel is very accommodating and very welcoming. Location is nice Cons: the view would have been nicer if the windows were clean. No mini fridge or microwave in the rooms. Rooms are very dated. I had to switch rooms between reservations- my first room was missing a lamp and one of the remaining two didn’t work. My second room had broken/worn drawers in the bureau. Bathrooms have peeling paint. The elevator situation is ridiculous. First few days it seemed only two worked, leaving huge lines all the time. The last few days one of them started working again, but it could take 15 minutes just to get on one. Coming down a nightmare- stopping at every floor from 40-16 because so few available. I also booked the Macy’s special and didn’t get the actual Macy’s gift card. Like I said before, the staff is great, but conditions would keep me from staying here ever again.

The location was amazing. So central to Times Square and everything around it. The employees were friendly and helpful. The room was a bit dated, and the bed was a bit hard for my tastes, but I've been sleeping on a purple hybrid mattress for over a year, so that could just be me. Also, the bathroom did not have a vent fan. So the bathroom steamed up quite a bit. Overall I would still stay at this hotel again. Very convenient!

The only great thing is location. It depends what is the level of your experience and expectation. The location is absolutely convenient especially if you travel with kids but you need to digest the fact that you pay a price of 5 star hotel for a motel. If you are ok with that, you will enjoy. Don’t raise the bar, you will be disappointed! If you have a window in your room and you can see outside, that’s consider city view in booking. Don’t expect to see Times Square! Also what you book, does not mean that’s what you get! We booked two twin bed and we got one king and one rolled bed. They said they will change but next day they said they are 100% sold out. The iron board had nasty stained on it. The bathroom floor tiles were broken. Bath room light had missing lamps. Carpet was dirty. As I said its a motel, runs with minimum maintenance and maximum charge! I also don’t need you put the print out message and thanks me for my review.

I must say, we are spending 3 nights here and at first, my overall impression of this hotel is that it is a little outdated and definitely needs a little maintenance. The rooms have no coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator. The room is clean and comfortable. Watch your toes though. The footings on the base of the bed seem to just reach out and grab your toes. We have stubbed our toes so much in this room! The main reason I am giving this a 5 star review is all because of the staff! The customer service here is outstanding! We were given a complimentary box of chocolates for our anniversary and my birthday. It was raining out and we were given a complimentary oversized umbrella to use. Thomas, our concierge has just been a true gem! We enjoyed so much the recommendations he had given us and just the conversations we have had. I must say that we are going to miss him once we go home. We recommend this place if you are looking to stay close to time square!

Our room was so hot it was more comfortable in the hallway. Then when I told the front desk it took them over an hour to get someone to our room. The maintenance man was then told our heat wasn't working so he tried troubleshooting it to which we told him just turn the heat off. I understand old buildings run on one system but it is ridiculous to turn the heat on when it's still over 50 outside. One more night hopefully we make it and don't sweat away in the night..maintenance guy was great but the front desk guy could care less...horrible customer service.

A big group of friends booked several rooms at this hotel, and I had a quick look at one couple’s room after I welcomed them to Manhattan. It was clean, spacious, and had views of the Times Square district, but sure could use a major cleanup and redecorating. A couple of days later, arriving from Brooklyn where I live and after arranging it with the same couple, who at this point were in Queens for a private dinner party, I requested the front desk to hold a gift for them, which the hotel could pass on to the guests as soon they returned to the hotel. The clerk didn’t allow it and the manager again refused me after I explained that the guests were expecting to get the gift upon their return. (I mentioned the hotel guests’ names and their room number, and when they were checking out. I'm fairly thick-skinned, but both hotel personnel were not so friendly, even curt and rude, especially the manager; he should get a non-customer-facing job elsewhere.) Aren’t hotels supposed to be visitors’ “home away from home,” able to get messages, mail, packages, and presents on their behalf? Not this hotel, dismayingly and sadly so.

I was concerned with the feedback I read but was super happy with our choice. The location was amazing, just steps from every theater we attended. The rooms were more spacious than most other hotel rooms have stayed in in NYC. It was also quieter than expected for being steps from time square. I will 100% stay here again. Very happy with my choice, it was a good value.

First the good: 1) Staff that we encountered were wonderful. 2) Water pressure in the shower was amazing and the water got hot right away. 3) Mini fridge kept things colder than any other hotel/motel I've stayed in. Now the not-so-good: 1) The elevator system is stupid. We had no guidance on how to use it and had a heck of a time trying to figure it out. You have to get your room keycard out and place it on a screen. Once you see a couple lights, then you press your floor button. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Very frustrating. 2) Rooms in dire need of updating - especially for a hotel that has the word "Millennium" in it's name. Carpet had more stains than clean spots, I swear. The mirror in the room was placed in a corner behind a lamp (what?!?) and very inconvenient to use. 3) We were traveling with a group of around 30 and we compared details on the rooms: Some had coffee makers and some didn't. Some had the mini fridge and some didn't (although there was a spot for it). Some didn't have either. We didn't have a coffee maker in our room - what hotel doesn't have a coffee maker in all the rooms??? 4) I was with my mother who required a wheelchair and they didn't have any automatic door opener buttons for the outside doors. Thankfully most of the time there were doors propped open, but not always. This was beyond "less than ideal".

I had a two night stay at this hotel and was impressed with its location (a minute walk from Times Square) and its interior, which was mainly a black marble effect. The staff were helpful with a couple of queries I had and the check in/check out process was quick and easy. The room I was in was a decent size to say it was just for me. I don't know what the room prices are like because I booked a multi-center holiday, of which New York was stop one. Sadly the restaurant was closed but luckily there's no shortage of eating spots nearby. In the lobby there's also a little gift shop that had a good selection of snacks and cold drinks, at reasonable prices.

We are still waiting to hear back regarding our stay on Nov 2/3, 2023 for one night, when the manager on duty unfortunately quite rudely WOKEN us up at night at 2:15AM, first by phone then by coming to the door with loudly knocking, when we would not answer her question while woken up at 2:15am in the morning. We woke up and we're quite disturbed. I have tried multiple times to get in touch with this manager and spoke to others in the hotel but always been told this manager will contact us to discuss this event that happened, acknowledging they are aware of this. I still hope they will contact us to explain, we left multiple messages. Otherwise the location was very good, right near times square. The room were so so.

We came to the city as a family for our first NYC Christmas experience. While the hotel itself is dated (the rooms not the lobby, the lobby is gorgeous) and some of the issues we had understandably couldn’t be rectified by the staff we were speaking with, the customer service was BEYOND SUB PAR. Our first night we were trying to find a comfortable temperature in our room since it was in the 30s outside and the rooms heat was on - we came in fully dressed and couldn’t figure out how to get the air conditioning on and the heat off. We called downstairs, the staff that answered said in a very short and overall annoyed tone “there’s no ac in this entire building it’s an antiquated system” (for winter this was bearable I have no idea how this could work in the summer). Then we called as the TV wasn’t working properly, again a short toned employee answered the phone said “I’ve never heard of that problem” with no further assistance. Finally, our last evening there we thought maybe we could call for pillows that weren’t so flat (you really can’t even fold them into a shape) and yet again I was met with a monotoned cold sounding staff member who said “that’s all the pillows in the hotel” and offered no kindness, understanding, or frankly any care other than to get me off the phone quickly. Naturally, after we checked out I mentioned this to the front desk representative on staff at the time - she could not have looked more disinterested in what I had to say and just waited until I was done speaking to offer a flat “I’m sorry” again I was left feeling like I was an imposition to be taking any time with questions or concerns. The lobby is gorgeous, the views are great if you have a city room view, the rooms are dated but okay. Genuinely we understand that a single staff member can’t magically make the entire building have air conditioning if it doesn’t, can’t make fluffier pillows appear, or estimate Netflix glitches. But what I do expect when paying more than $300 a night for a room is at least a little customer service - a smile, a pleasant interaction, not someone who sounds/looks generally annoyed. For assessment purposes I watched to see what the interactions were like with other customers and it was all the same minus a couple of male staff members behind the desk that really seemed to be making sure they had a smile on and were pleasant. As regular travelers to the city we won’t be rushing back to stay here again, and can’t imagine staying in a hotel that doesn’t have air conditioning (stated by three different staff members) in the summer.

I put two stars for the excellent location (you can really go anywhere) and because the service really tried to help me. But the hotel room is just. So. Below. Average. The "breath-taking view" I paid extra $$ for was literally just one office building - they sent me to another room that was much better, but nice at best. If that's the greatest views a four-star hotel can offer, I feel sorry for New Yorkers. Room was overall clean but not enough, I catched dust and a few spots here and there. Also the sink was a little clogged - but working. At some point I was so tiered I just tried to change hotel. It was possible to do so for me, but be careful to ask before checkout hours.

Location was great. Service at front desk was good. The rooms were way too hot and you could not adjust the heat. We even turned the wall thermostat to off and it was still fire hot Rooms need remodeling. Tubs were stopped up. Water was not hot. Cabinets were broke. No mirrors in the rooms.

We enjoyed our first trip to New York but I would not stay at the Millennium Hotel if I visit New York again. I was very disappointed with this hotel for many reasons. The hotel is not updated like its photos, we booked a city view room which we did not have, we had no microwave or fridge in our room, your website shows a restaurant which you did not have, no coffee in the building at all, we had hair all over the bathroom at check in which was gross(even on the ceiling), and the absolute worst thing ever is the heating and cooling is controlled by hotel for every room!!! It was extremely hot the first night we stayed so we had to have fans brought in and sleep with our window open, who does this??? The only thing that was a plus for this hotel was the location! I travel often and I have to say this is one of the biggest disappointments as far as bookings go! I would have switched hotels but I booked through [link removed]and the full amount was charged at check in so we would have had to wait a week for the money to be released back into my account!!!! New York was amazing and we will be back but we will NOT stay at the Millennium Hotel! Nothing like the photos online!!!!!

I stayed at this hotel 2/22 - 2/24. Upon arrival the room was cleaned and all the utilities worked well. My only complaint is the Thermostat was unresponsive, but due to the cold weather outside, we were able to open a few windows to cool the room down. They do charge an additional $35/day for services and such and a $100/day hold that we received back by 2/27. The cleaners and front desk were both extremely nice and helpful. The location was perfect as well and we used the Meyer parking garage right across the street! The room was a great experience for the price.

I was very disappointed in our room. There was mold in the bathroom, and hair on the shower wall. I also feel as there was no evidence that the hotel cared about our safety from a sanitation perspective as a result. I am not a freak when it comes to Covid, but there are signs posted saying we must prove vaccination, and were never asked to show proof. That leaves me to wonder where is the consistency and what other measures are not being followed in general. After seeing our room in the state it was when we checked in, and noticing the bathroom later in the evening it was disappointing. I have stayed in many hotels over the last 2 years and each has shown that they have gone above to make sure we knew the room was clean and safe and I saw none of that here. It left me with a bad taste and I do not believe I would choose to stay here again.

Same as all other reviews. Shocked upon entering room for first time. All furniture in bad shape. Not used to staying in rooms in this condition. Shower / tub clogged. Coffee machine never cleaned. Old coffee grounds from previous guests left in machine. Location is great. Wife booked room. Had I seen reviews first we would never have stayed here. We have no issue paying triple or quadruple for luxury. She booked room because friends we were meeting were staying there.

Certainly some cosmetic issues present in the room. No room based tea and coffee facility is a first in any hotel I've stayed in and something you just kind of expect so I'd say its absence is pretty poor. That said for the price and location it's a great hotel, I slept well most nights and I'm a light sleeper. The room was spacious and tidy and we had no major issues. I would recommend to anyone wanting to explore New York without paying a fortune for accommodation.

First, update your website! The restaurant is closed! No effort to provide a simple grab and go morning service of coffee, tea, pastries. Where did you hide the typical hotel information book? Not even an ice bucket/machine. Was the large, empty space in the bureau once a mini bar or fridge? Location and room size was good, but overall we were disappointed by this hotel.

Our review will be honest on all fronts. First off…. The staff at this hotel is amazing, from the concierge, bellmen and house keeping. All of them are helpful, knowledgeable on the city and always willing to help you. They also make very good recommendations on restaurants and fun spots to go! Too notch employees! Now…. For the hotel experience. 1. The rooms are much smaller in person, then in the pictures. 2. The amenities are not good. For paying over $200 a night, there is no refrigerator or microwave to heat up leftovers. New York is expensive and it is a shame you can’t take your food back to your room and heat up later. 3. There are not enough plugs around the beds to charge your phones. We had to plug them up across the room. 4. I tried to take a bath and the water was green/grey. Couldn’t tell which color but I could not take a bath after a long day of walking. 5. They provide robes that are wonderful. Soft, thick and cozy. 6. The shower is extremely small BUT the water pressure is fantastic and the water heats up quickly and stays hot for the whole shower. 7. The hotel is placed in a perfect location. Two minutes from Time Square and the restaurants around there are all great, including the street food. The overall stay was a good experience, they just need to update a bit.

Please, as a member of millennium, I can simply advise you to avoid this hotel at all costs. The rooms are dirty, smell bad, the bathrooms are gross. I booked 4 nights (Superior Room), but I have to switch the first room I got to another one because it was not clean, was smelling, the second I got was the same mess they upgrade the bed. I did not want to complain again to the front desk to not appears as a bad customer. be also advises that there is no mini fridge, no microwave in the room and no lobby. so, you cannot keep leftover after eating out. the AC is not working during the winter(only heat), front desk told us to open the window if we are hot Please please please avoid millennium Broadway

Can’t beat the location for the cost. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Room was incredibly dated. No refrigerator in the room. Lights above beds did not work, so a lamp was on the nightstand, plugged into a worn out power strip. We had a room with an amazing view, but very dirty windows!

I gave them 5 stars because my experience was wonderful. Don't get me wrong this place has some dings and dents and is in need of some TLC. But the location is extremely convenient and if your goal is to spend a ton of time in your room then you're doing NYC all wrong. My fridge worked great. The bed was fine and and the room was actually a bit bigger than I imagined water pressure was off the charts and hot hot water! For the price in that area what more do you need!!

For a hotel with a 4-star rating, the room screams 2 stars at best. The only modern things in the room are the key scanner to open the door and central heating. Upon entering the room, it smelled heavily of weed. The carpet by the closet door looked to be blood stained. The lighting fixture in the bathroom was a very outdated plastic grid that was dusty and yellow. The stopper in the tub was broken, so it had to be manually pulled up in order for the water to drain. The walls in the bedroom were dusty, along with the curtains that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The sheets on the bed are a very off white. They look old and dingy. The pillows aren't something I wanted to lay my head on, and the mattress was rock hard. The room could use a serious remodeling. There was no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker in the room either. For a hotel with this rating so close to Times Square, I expected something much better. All of the staff we interacted with were very kind, welcoming and helpful. We were allowed to store our bags with the bellman after check out and before our flight which was very helpful and kind. We didn't have to drag it with us around the city. The hotel needs an update. At least have fridge and microwave in the room. I don't know if other floors are updated, and it just hasn't reached the 26th floor yet, but I was not pleased. The hotel is in a very nice location, and I refuse to believe that it can't do better.

Such a wonderful hotel! The staff goes above and beyond for their guests. Jacob from hotel security and the manager Lori Ann were excellent. I was worried when my elderly father didn’t meet us back at the hotel when he was supposed to and Jacob and Lori Ann immediately assisted me. They were very thorough and my dad returned safely. They also assisted my father with his many questions throughout his stay. The hotel is in a great location right in Times Square. I would absolutely stay here again!

Further proof that nothing is luxurious anymore. Was greeted with a letter saying there’d be no water in the building the day I checked out… guess I’d better shower and leave early. The room was hot when it was 65 degrees in the city, but thankfully the windows opened. I had to call take desk around 11pm… the phone rang and rang with no answer. Bed was hard as a brick, pillows were limp noodles, furniture had missing knobs… the only plus was it was under $200 for a weeknight stay. Won’t soon be back. Plus: express check out by dropping keys and leaving… glad I didn’t have to meet a staff member who’d ask how everything was.

He room was great I like the view I had except the manager lady on Friday night was just plain rude and disrespectful I drove long to get there very late I was scared she’d not let me check in my room so I even tried being fake extremely nice to her and she was just rude. The rooms were reasonable even though the bathtub was clocked and dirty but yea the staff there were terrible the staff on Sunday night with a colorful beard and his coworker were extremely helpful and so much more respectful than the ladies on Friday night (02/23/2024). I was so confused why they were acting like that j know they were busy but I still felt like they were just rude for no reason. But the men on Sunday night that let me check in made up for their nasty unprofessional attitude!

Although the hotel is perfectly located we were really disappointed in our room. There was urine on the toilet seat, hair in the sink, dirty shower curtain, broken drain plug in the tub, a dirty sock in a drawer and the thermostat was inoperable. We called housekeeping & they cleaned it right away, we were offered a different room & management gave us a good discount but unfortunately we will not recommend this hotel to friends.

Pros: - The location - The friendly staff - The comfy bed Cons: - Cleanliness (Generally good, but needs more attention to detail.) - No charging (USB) ports - Iron, but no ironing board - No coffee maker, mini-fridge, or microwave - No food and beverage facilities -- They say they are coming. I'm thinking this is Covid-related. I was disappointed with the condition of the room, for such an esteemed brand, however, I find that New York hotels, generally, are weak with room maintenance. There was a small amount of visible mildew in the grout on the bathtub tiles. I don't think I have ever encountered this, even at a Motel 6 or Days Inn, anywhere in the country. It was disturbing to find this, at a Millenium property. My wife refused to use the tub. There was visible dust in the corners and between the beds and the center night stand. The power strip that was the only available spot, near the bed, to plug in our chargers was dirty. The carpet just outside the restroom was stained, and the toilet was slow to drain. I was shocked that a modern hotel had ZERO usb ports for phone charging, in 2021. The room decor was pleasant, but the furniture was dated. The beds and pillows, however, were quite clean and comfortable. Since we spent very little time in our room and got the greatest rate imaginable, in NYC, This was still a STELLAR value, for one night. Two nights would have required a shower, and my wife wasn't about to use that one, so we were lucky. The rest of the property was very, very nice, and the staff was friendly. The location, just a half-block from Times Square, was absolutely perfect!

We were only meant to stay for 6 nights and ended up staying for 24+ nights, unable to fly home because of Covid :( every single one of the hotel staff have been so friendly and helpful through this hard time for us. Special mentions to George for his flexibility and Shazadi for her kindness. Hopefully we will be on a flight home in the next couple of days!

Nice hotel. A little outdated in the rooms but it’s a good deal for the location. Our room had a nice city view. And could see where the ball drops. Couple minor things in the room were broken but not a big deal. Lobby is nice. Has a nice little snack/gift shop. Would stay again.

Place was in the best location right next to Times Square and within walking distance to many great restaurants and attractions as well as Citi bike stations. The new year’s ball was right outside my window which was really cool. There were a few things around the room that needed fixing but nothing super important. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, especially because their age policy accepts people between ages 18-20 and no other hotels in the area do this.

This hotel was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at (in terms of cleanliness). The lobby looks nice and modern, but the rooms were outdated and dirty. I booked two rooms for two nights and was charged $1400+ total (excluding deposits). Just because it is on Times Square, the rate is incredibly high for what you get. Both of the rooms I booked were king studios. One of the rooms had a loose shower rod (a potential hazard), and both rooms had stains on the carpet. I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. Additionally, the sheets were different between the two rooms, which made me feel like they just threw in whatever they had in stock for each room. There are no bedside charging ports as well (very inconvenient). Even the ceilings were dirty. One of the rooms did not have a hairdryer, and both rooms did not have a water kettle (which is standard for hotels). When we requested a kettle, they gave us the kettle WITHOUT the electric bottom. So, we couldn’t even use the kettle, since we didn’t want to ask again. Customer service wasn’t bad, as the receptionists all seem to be fairly polite (and I never really complained about anything, so who knows if they would’ve reacted differently if I did?). Overall, I would not book a room at this hotel again, simply because the cleanliness standards are very low. Even superb customer service wouldn’t make me want to come back. Just for context, I was too uncomfortable to even get in the sheets on the bed because it felt like the bed might have bedbugs from how dirty the hotel was. I even stayed out as much as I could just to avoid being in my hotel room. So, just be mindful. If you don’t care about how clean a hotel is and you like Time Square, go for it. However, if you have some standards, I would suggest you to find somewhere else with cleaner rooms.

Absolutely horrified by our experience. We had no control over the thermostat in the room; at one point it was 84. It's December and we slept in underwear because it was so uncomfortable. The pillows are junk. There was an old power-cord taped to the wall for our outlet. There is no fridge in the room. The shower drain did not work. The staff was rude and unhelpful. And there is no "Ask Alfred" program like the website states. We upgraded our room for more money and still did not have a view of Times Square. There are no restaurants open as they advertise. There is no security as others have stated. The bellhop outside was not helpful in getting us a cab. He stared at my husband blankly. I would NOT recommend this place and truly wonder if the people who have given good reviews actually stayed at the Times Square location. We will not be back to this hotel.

It is not look like 4 star hotel at all!! 2 star if I want to be generous! Too Dirty!! There wasn’t fridge in room. Too old!! Blanket and pillow covers were not changed! 👎🏻 👎🏻👎🏻 I asked for changing them but they didn’t, although they promised to do that!

My Son and I stayed here. It was perfect! Clean, The staff always greeted us with a smile. Not much in extras. What it lacks in extras, it absolutely makes up in quality! We wanted to live there it was so nice.

Our stay was comfortable and pleasant! Ms. Monique, the young lady working the front desk, was simply amazing!!!!! Very knowledgeable and patient!!!!! Our room was nice and clean and the view wasn’t bad either! From the bellman to the breakfast clerks to the cleaning ladies, service was A1!!!!! This hotel also sits in between Times Square and Broadway, PERFECT LOCATION!!!!!!!! My experience was a great one and I hope to see and work with Ms. Monique again when booking in the near future!!!!

Stayed here this weekend (02/04-02/06/2022) Upon arrival i already knew it was going to be bad without even seeing the rooms. The lobby was dull and dark. The first room I was given was hot the AC was not working at all. The room was very outdated , the furniture were all scratched up and old. The sink, and toilet were clogged. After complaining we were "upgraded" to a better room. The new room was still old and nasty in my opinion. The morning of my checkout I found a BED BUG in my pillow OMFG! No wonder i woke up in the middle on the night feeling like something bit me. Anyways we showed the hotel manager the photos and she had the audacity to say perhaps we brought it in !!! I've never seen a bed bug in my life, I don't even have roaches in my house. They gave me somewhat of a credit for the inconvenience. End of story stay away !!

Beds are really small. A double bed should not be smaller than a full size bed. The beds here are 47 inches wide, a full size is larger. no instructions for WiFi or the use of your room key to use the elevator or the thermostat. Heat is cranked to the max and thermostat does not work. Bathroom door did not lock and toilet did not flush. Luggage room is at the entrance wide open to the public and not a closed room for security purposes. The furniture is really beat up. No restaurant or cafes in the hotel to get any coffee in the morning. Very small gift shop. Edit: no one ever fixed the AC and our room was 85 all night. Just pure awful!! And to consider these tiny beds and sleeping with another person in a room that’s this hot. Needless to say we don’t get any sleep. Disappointed to haave spent over $500 for the night to not have air.

**Honest review** Location: Great Customer Service: TRASH Room: BELOW AVERAGE Cost: OVERPRICED Advertisement: FALSE It was the WORST experience! My partner called the hotel to book to ensure that he got the Times Square view (7th Ave). They even charged him extra $$ to secure a room that would guarantee that. Upon arrival we checked in and got a room that was the complete opposite. We went to change and was given another room with the EXACT view as the one before. We went back AGAIN because we paid for a specific category of rooms. The customer service on top of this was trash, we almost canceled the stay (the good thing was that we weren't tourists so we didn't even have to stay, but we already made plans for our anniversary). After a wasted hour of getting a room with the view we paid for, it was run-down and not worth it. I would NEVER recommend here to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. If you can avoid staying here I would highly recommend it. Take a look below at what you'll really get for you money.

Great location. Don't expect perfect rooms--it is an old building in Manhattan. However, do expect the staff to listen to you and follow through with what they offer. If you don't follow up (yes it's a busy place, but) they'll likely 'forget' to deliver. Location, location, location. It's a great spot to be no matter what your agenda is. It's also not going to cost you an absurd amount. If you need a place close by and you're just sleeping there and nothing else, this may be the perfect option if you're willing to gamble on AC and ankle-water showers.

  • 4/5 Charles R. 2 years ago on Google
Overall a descent hotel. Guest bathrooms a bit dated, room was comfortable and good size, but a little dirty. Location is central in Manhattan with many subway lines in walking distance, but you need to deal with going through Times Square often. Price wasn't bad and room size was above above average for a Manhattan hotel. If it's your first time in NY it could be a good fit. If you're a repeat visitor I'd recommend elsewhere.

Rooms need some updating. Great location and facilities are nice, just really dated. Tub was extremely slow to drain. Water bubble above your head in the shower but made it kind of fun to watch..... staff was exceptional. Definitely be back.

rooms are extremely outdated and dirty. The walls are stained and the room and windows is full of dust. The furniture look like its falling apart and the rug is absolutely disgusting. When we checked in they put us in a room where the window view was to a dirty cleaning area, we went back down to the lobby to ask for a better room so we paid 100 dollars for a room with a better view. Once we entered that room, the bathroom was dreadful. There was hair on the floor as well as small tissue papers, the bed sheets were wrinkled as if someone slept on them, not to mention the horrible stains on the wall and on the furniture. Curtains looks like the haven’t been washed in ages. The hotel honestly needs to reform the room. The front desk was understanding tho so that was nice. however don't recommend

This is a great spot to stay in if you're exploring midtown Manhattan. A few blocks walk in any direction will get you food, entertainment, and subway access. Times Square and great shopping nearby. The rooms are a little dated, but adequate and nice. Secure, fast elevators were awesome. Didn't try the restaurant in the hotel. Hotel car service was great too and quick.

The location was great, however, the condition of the hotel was not great. There is no up keep to the hotel rooms. The room was in terrible conditions. Felt old and run down. We cleaned it down with bleach wipes and Lysol. The cost was just as much as most of the other hotels in Time Square, yet the condition was not worth the pretty penny spent. My daughter and I couldn't wait to leave. I was considering booking another location for my second night but I realized there would be a charge for it. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are other properties that are more clean, well kept, and cost less.

This is hotel is in a prime location on Times Square Theater District. Right next to the Hudson theater and within a waking distance to many other theaters. We had tickets to the Lion King at Minskoff theater and it was a max 5 minute walk from the hotel to the theater. We ate at many great food places; all within walking distance; shopped at many shops all within walking distance. If you are looking for a great value, great location this is the place. I don’t get the bad reviews; the price is right, the hotel was clean, the staff was nice and courteous; housekeeping was prompt and courteous, and we were fully satisfied with our 3 day stay there. Ignore the reviews where people are expecting the Ritz for the value and location you get. I highly recommend!

This hotel is in a great location. It does the job if you get it for a reasonable price. It was clearly a very nice hotel many years ago and is now very outdated. If you are just coming back to the room to sleep and shower it's not a bad option if the price is right just don't expect a lot. They also offer to check your bags while you walk around which was nice, but after they ran out of room in the storage room they just placed luggage in the lobby with a security cable. That didn't seem very secure to me.
