Gorgeous hotel, good size room, nice bathroom, glass wall between shower and room not as see through as first thought. Amazing location, turn left out of door, walk straight to times square. Very varied breakfast included and huge breakfast rooms. Great air con in summer, great views. Lovely staff, had luggage taken to room on arrival. Didn’t know about $300 deposit on arrival but was refunded as soon as we checked out. Would recommend to anyone. Loved my stay here.

This was the best hotel experience I've had so far in recent years. The room is a good size where you can walk around. The view was terrific and you can smell, see and sense the cleanliness of the room. Everything is neat. I love the feature added to the card/key that besides opening your room it's also needed to use any power in the room, lights, climate, TV, etc. The service was excellent, breakfast included, that it's a buffet one, not continental, and to add the breakfast is a very well organized thing they have. There will be always an available clean table for you and someone to help you get there. I believe from now on this hotel will be my first option to stay in. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in New York Manhattan if you are planning to be close to Times Square, Broadway theaters.

If you want a hotel right in the heart of the city then this is a good option. Despite the horror stories of queues for lifts and breakfast, we didn’t experience any of this and we were there during half term/presidents day. Given the size of the hotel, we felt it was well run and very clean. Our room wasn’t huge and needed a little Tlc but otherwise fine. The almost see through bathroom glass didn’t lend itself to a family room though! We largely kept to UK time as we were only there for a few days which allowed us to be there at 6.30am for the start of breakfast. This was ideal as we walked in and got a table straight away otherwise I would probably recommend leaving it an hour till things calmed down. Having said that it was very well run and the selection was fantastic (bagels especially). Overall we were pleased with the hotel and would recommend it as a place to stay for a few days with friends or family, near to all the shows and main attractions of NYC.

I stayed at this hotel in June and the experience was great, but what topped it off was I left a pair of $700 sneakers in the room and flew home. When I realized, I contacted the hotel and the had them in list and found. I sent them a ups label and they shipped them home to me. They could have easily said they didn’t have and I would have had to except it, but they didn’t. I was able to get a hold of someone in email quick and they did what they said. Hotel staff was great, and this builds a lot of trust with the brand for me. Big shout out to the customer service team at Riu Plaza !! I appreciate you doing this firm me !

Very nice hotel only a block away from Times Square. The room we stayed in was a little on the small side to what we were expecting for NYC, although it may have felt that way as the bed was huge & very comfortable! Room was cleaned daily and towels changed if required. Bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and professional and both areas were well presented and clean. We were not expecting to queue every morning for breakfast, but I have to say, the hotel was very busy when we stayed and it is a well oiled machine and the staff are obviously used to busy periods and we were never queuing for more than 5 minutes, brilliant really. On the downside, we found the reception staff a little less courteous, always gave us the feeling they wanted rid of you as quickly as possible if you went and asked for advice, directions or something and on one particular time, a member of staff gave us incorrect info regarding public transport. If you are working in front line services, you need to know what you tell people is factually correct, or if not, at least say, you aren't sure then we could of double checked, but never mind, not the end of the world! We were bed & breakfast during our stay and I have to say the choice of food at breakfast was amazing..... 👏🏽👏🏽 every kind of breakfast food to suit everyone no matter where in the world you came from, and all very fresh too! Fantastic! The hotel is well decorated, clean, comfortable, safe and so busy, just what you'd expect from the centre of NYC but I would give one recommendation, but this is for New York in general, not just this hotel.... Take some ear plugs for bedtime, the New York drivers like to honk their vehicle horns!! 🤪 🚕 🚗 🚖 🚒 🚑 🚚 🤣

The hotel has a beautiful lobby and the room decor is nice, however the rooms are made extremely small. I have stayed in many hotels in Times Square, the rooms have been much bigger than here. Our bathroom needed to be resupplied with toilet paper, called front desk and they had the nerve to say they didn’t have any to send up. For a 3 night stay, paying over $1800.00 they better have toilet paper. Took another phone call for them to finally bring a roll up.

Stayed for a week October 2022. The hotel is in a fantastic location if you want to be at the absolute heart of New York. The room was a great size with a brilliant view from the 10th floor. Housekeeping was wonderful and reception were helpful and polite. The food buffet at breakfast really set you up for the day but they definitely need more coffee stations. One point, and normally I don't name people but in this case I need to. If you are going to have a staff member greeting people at the elevators in a morning or at breakfast to direct them, it CANNOT be Tiffany. I saw several days in a row this lady consistently be rude, abrupt, and look like she absolutely hated her job. Really not a good representation of the many other fabulous staff. I would stay again. Great value!

Just spent an incredible 8 days with my 18 year old daughter in this stunning hotel .we were on the 21st floor, the view was spectacular!! The room was very modern and clean . Maid service everyday. There’s been comments about breakfast queues and construction noise. We never had to wait for breakfast was down for around 8.8.40 every morning The food was delicious and plentiful! The construction… yes there’s diggers working opposite the hotel, but your in New York your exploring the city so you shouldn’t be in your room after say after 10am anyway. It didn’t affect our stay at all . All the staff was so nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for a week. It was an awesome hotel. The rooms were super clean and serviced every day. Breakfast was included. It was quite varied and a good start to the day. The AC in the room was very good. We loved the fact the TVs had a Chromecast built in too. The only downside was that our room has a sliding bathroom door which had gaps so you could hear a lot from the bathtoom! The shower also had an opaque wall into the room so you need to be comfortable with the person you are sharing your room with!

Type of hotel with the aim of processing as many people as possible, mass tourism. As a result, they have to compromise on quality, comfort... Amount of noise in the rooms coming from the corridor and other rooms is crazy, don’t expect much sleep. My wife slept with noise cancelling headset. Slamming doors, talking, running, kids, …..it’s as if everything was happening in the room. Room is too small for family of 5. Resort fee of 160 dollars for services that are free in any other hotel (fitness, internet, luggage storage), and the water bottles I was supposed to receive I’m still waiting for them. Breakfast was (very good but) very crowded. Get more toasters, 4 of them is not enough for the hundreds of people having breakfast. Perfect location. Light frosted glass wall separating room/ bathroom not very appreciated by teenagers. Read the 2,3,4 star reviews, gives you a better picture how it really is. All the 5 star reviews were probably stoned from all the weed being smoked out there.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. - Mattress and pillow killed my back, it was very painful to sleep on the bed. - You can see through the shower, no privacy. Low water pressure during a shower. - Rooms are small and cramped. - Hotel could not provide me with extra pillows. I had 4 people staying with me in the room. - The free breakfast was disgusting.

Location is the best thing about this hotel. It’s within walking distance of most things a tourist would need/ want to see in NYC and has good transport links. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good, albeit a little chaotic. However, there were some major flaws too. First, we had to pay a $130 tax which was completely unexpected on check in. Secondly, there were a lack of basic facilities in the room, for example the ability to make a tea or coffee. There was a large crack in the shower tray which kept leaking and large black scuffs on the white panels across the room. The choice of purple accents in the room made it look a little tacky. The fridge they provided was completely empty and barely cold; there’s no point of it even being there. With regards to the staff, although the bell boys and concierge were helpful, the front desk lady not so much. Another red flag we noticed was the protesting of construction workers outside the hotel. It makes me concerned with how little the staff are being paid there.

Went there for one night! The location is good if you need to be near time square. It was clean with a nice view to the city! My only complaint is that although is nice to have the breakfast included it should not be everyone show up for breakfast fast in the same time! Is very crowded in the breakfast cafe, they check your vaccination card and Id as you go to have breakfast, why don’t just do that as the guests check in? Overall is a good hotel for a quick trip.

This place is one block from Times Square and was very busy with a multinational clientele, both families and couples. It seems to be geared up for mass tourism but does it rather well. Rooms are modern and clean, with comfy bed, large TV and walk in shower. Be aware that the whole bathroom is walled with frosted glass which may be an issue if you aren't well acquainted with your roommate(s). Our room had a safe and a fridge and good sized wardrobe. Also, there is a low window that opens inward. Small children could drop things out into the street....not great if you are on the 28th floor. The restaurant has a staff canteen feel about it. Breakfast was very busy, with queues every day. But the well drilled staff had it nailed with military precision and ushered us through fairly quickly. There was a decent selection of food every day, fresh fruit, savouries, eggs, waffles, pancakes etc. We ate well each morning. There is also a bar and spacious lobby with bell boy and concierge service. No complaints. I would recommend it.

Excellent in all aspects. Cleanliness, comfort, attention, breakfast, I found it to be an excellent hotel, which fully exceeded my expectations. Clean, modern, very well furnished and equipped rooms with excellent bathrooms. The views from the rooms and hallways are fabulous. Great stay! Excellent breakfast selection. Kudos to Front desk manager Jose for helping with my extended stay. Modern, fast and numerous elevators. The room where they serve an excellent buffet breakfast is super spacious and with plenty of seats for many guests. The staff are always very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it. Thanks

This hotel is well situated near time square. Nice sized room with fridge, shower, toilet, large TV, hair dryer, ironing board and iron. For any British people visiting there is not tea of coffee making facilities. Make sure you take a travel kettle and don't forget you plug adapter. We also had breakfast included in our stay which help reduce the cost for food. The hotel has a good selection of breakfasts item, including fruit, yogurt, pastries and donuts, bread for toast, cerials, bacon, eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles fried tomatoes, tea, coffee, orange and apple juice The is also a small coffee shop that does a good selection of drinks and salad boxes and sandwiches, these are reasonably priced considering it's quite expensive in New York. If you feel the need to work out there is also a small gym. Please note you will have to pay a resort fee of $39 a day and you will have to pay a $200 refundable deposit which you will.get back when you check out.

This hotel is in a perfect location! There are so many restaurants within walking distance. Times Square was just a couple of blocks away. For NY, the rooms were a reasonable size. The family double room had two beds and a pull out so my family of 5 slept comfortably. Shout out to Erick in the lounge for excellent service.

I went to NYC for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Having stayed at other Riu hotels undecided to stay at the Riu Plaza Manhattan but since the hotel has not been opened I was bumped to the Riu Plaza New York Times Square. Since the moment I arrived I was provided with great customer service (kudos to Lori Anne in customer service). Even though I arrived before 4 pm my room was ready and they gave me the keys right away. The room was small but super clean and with great view from the 23rd floor. My breakfast was included and I've got to say, the continental breakfast was really good. Plenty of food for all tastes. If you are fully vaccinated you can eat at the restaurant and if you are not you can request it to be boxed and then you pick it up. The only thing I would like to point out is that during my stay I had no housekeeping service. But since I only went for 2 nights that was not a big deal. The location is amazing, just a couple of blocks from times square. Thanks a lot for a great weekend and I hope to see you soon I'm the near future.

Perfect location for us. Lovely modern, clean hotel. Excellent buffet-style breakfast. The tables were very close together and we had to queue but it was well-managed. We had to show photo ID and proof of vaccination before being allowed in the restaurant for breakfast. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which we know about. So we took a travel kettle and bought some milk which we put in the fridge in the room.

Friendly front end staff, clean rooms, very comfortable bed, quiet room, plenty of towels and HOT water. Bag drop off available for check in and after check out. Perfect TS location. The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. Large food selection. Get there early as it fills up quickly. Will stay at this hotel again. Staff was adhering to mask wearing.

Unfortunately booking.com canceled our reservation without notifying us... and even more unfortunate yet, we didn't find out until we reached the property and attempted to check in!!! ...imagine traveling to Manhattan (with your child) only to find out you have no overnight accommodations!!! ...it was a nightmare... which is why we were SO thankful for one especially amazing Riu staff member, Stephanie, who went above and beyond to assist us. Through her Manager she was able to correct the booking site's error, reinstate our reservation and then secured us with a new hotel room (and she did all of it with a smile, which was great because my daughter was in panic mode at that point.) Excellent hotel. Extremely clean. Very chic. Comfortable beds. Fantastic staff, and a special thank you to Stephanie for saving the day!

Very nice hotel! It is very modern and hip in a way. I liked the fact that it is literally in the middle of everything like literally in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen. The room was very cozy . It was a small one king room but it was clean new and modern with a nice walk in glass shower. Also they offer free breakfast in the mornings in a buffet style which is nice to have. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the city and want to be close to Times Square .

Hotel looks nice on the outside. The rooms are not the best. Curtains are very sheer and let in all of the light from outside. Walls are pretty thin and you can clearly hear doors opening and closing. I noticed my curtains had stains on them (looked like pizza grease)and when I tried to use the wall outlet I realized it was pretty loose and flimsy. The staff was incredible and lovely but my gripes were just with the room and also the fact that masks were not enforced in the lobby, despite crowds. All in all, I can’t complain for the price although I might shell out an extra $200-$300 next time for the CitizenM (blackout curtains) or the Marriott.

Stayed here for 6 nights. Hotel rooms are decent with good views of the city and staff are pretty helpful when I needed some questions answered. Rooms are made on a daily basis without asking which I find is rare nowadays. The breakfast quality is what lets this hotel down big time unfortunately. Literally everything is of the cheapest quality and is drenched in oil and just tastes of salt.

Absolutely stunning hotel, location is minutes from Times Square. Housekeeping is superb. Cannot fault this hotel, we stayed for a week and it was fabulous. We were on the 28 floor with amazing views although we did feel motion sickness at times for being so high up. Brilliant!

Very nice hotel. We are very impressed with the breakfast buffet! Only drawback is, there's is no privacy AT ALL in the bathroom. The door is sliding, and doesn't lock, and you can see into the bathroom even with the door slid closed. You can hear everything. Also can see the silhouette of anyone taking a shower. For this alone, we probably won't be back.

My 2 night 3 day stay was fabulous! Pretty much the whole staff was polite and welcoming! The location was amazing if you want to watch a few shows. My only complaint was the room itself. I understand that because of the location the room had to be small, but the sheets were pretty used (clean) but very worn and should probably be replaced. And the amenities were quite limited. That said, I believe I had one of the least expensive rooms available (about 450 a night with fees) and they did have a wonderful lounge. In the lounge they had free drinks and snacks which made me happy! They offered wine, which I did not try. They had a coffee maker, and a loaded fridge. The fridge held veggies and sometimes fruit cups along with cold sodas and water. The room also included a complimentary breakfast. This was not an international breakfast, this was a full buffet. One day we had waffles, and bacon and so much more. The next we had pancakes and hash browns and so much more. I was very full after both meals! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are celebrating a special occasion or are just visiting Broadway and want a convenient location.

Great stay at the Riu Plaza Times Square, great locations just off Times Square but without the noise! Friendly staff and great breakfast options. Arrived at 1pm and were able to check in straight away, clean and modern rooms with lovely bathroom. Would stay here again!

Stayed for a week. Fantastic room. Great staff. Food good, though does get busy in the morning for breakfast at times. I found it hard getting my breakfast hot. Everything is in a hot plate but it wasn't piping hot by the time I sat down to eat. Mind you I don't know if this is a USA thing as we ate out in a restaurant and the food wasn't hot then either. However great range of foods for all. The fashion bar was a great place to hang out. Happy hour more so. Not far from Times Square. I use earplugs whenever I'm away from home so can't comment on noise during the night but NY is the city that never sleeps so be prepared.

I haven't even gotten checked in after 30 minutes of waiting in line promptly at 4pm, the earliest you can check in. They have QR codes listed that DO NOT WORK and the lobby is loud, dishelved and full of employees just standing around waiting to point you to the next spot in line instead of assisting in a more meaningful way. Can't wait to see what the rest of this is like if this is the start. Not sure how this place has this rating

Overall experience....excellent!!! Staff if very kind and helpful. Love their professionalism...very knowledgeable. Their breakfast buffet is phenomenal. The location is great....just a couple blocks away from Times Square and several blocks away from central park. Great views of the city all around. Really recommend the stay at this hotel 👌 We enjoyed it greatly!

Rooms are small, but I assume most hotel rooms in New York are. The beds pushed together as seen in the pictures was not going to work. their bed and night stands moved very easily, so we just moved them to a more traditional arrangement. Very clean and loved the staff would clean the room daily. The frosted glass shower wall was a little strange but still kept it private enough since we traveled with our 2 daughters. The buffet breakfast was great to have every morning with no wait for us. I wish their room pricing was more transparent. Their surcharge/resort fees are ridiculously high. You can add additional money to check out as late as 5pm, which was great since our flight leaving was significantly delayed.

Amazing location with just couple blocks from Times Square, Newyork; very friendly service, booked over the phone. Checkin was swift, breakfast is offered from 7am to 11am, there are long lineups as this is a very busy and popular hotel amongst travelers so we did wake up 7am daily to be able to have breakfast in peace and skip the lines. Huge variety of food with selection of cheeses, eggs, meats, fruits, cereals, breads, choices and yogurts. Housekeeping is only once in two days, unless requested. There are no microwaves in the rooms. There was a security deposit charged on the first day and was returned promptly at checkout. The only thing that failed to make sense was the glass wall of the washroom and no door locks. I mean whoever thought of the idea of having a family room, where families would be staying, with a washroom with glass wall, no locks. All in all, great experience!

Our stay at the RIU Plaza New York Times Square was good but the room was not very well appointed. It was however clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included and it was satisfactory. It is fairly easy to walk to most of the iconic attractions if you are of average fitness.

This is the third time we are returning to the same hotel! It's just a very central area, but not the center. That means it takes you 4 minutes to walk to Times Square - and you do not have the noise of the Times. So this is a perfect place in this regard. The view of the city from the upper floors is amazing! The rooms are modern, clean, and tidy. The facilities at the hotel are excellent. The price is not too expensive either, so for us - this is our hotel in Manhattan. By the way the breakfast was excellent. Diverse and rich. It's an open buffet.

The staff are a real credit to the business. Bright cheerful and very helpful. Check in and the bell staff were particularly good. Good selection at breakfast. Well located for Time square. The room was a bit basic, and very noisy.

Very pleasant experience, free breakfast was very nice, it is until 10am. Stop going last minute if you don’t want to wait in line. Got complimentary chocolates for my birthday which was very nice. Parking was close by and secure. Many great food places on the same block. Happy hour at the bar had delicious margaritas and staff was very friendly. Beds were comfy, rooms are small but that’s to be expected. Overall the hotel had a great vibe going. Would definitely return.

Very basic for the price. Room was very small. Desk and chair for work were also small and not comfortable. It was either too cold or too hot in the room. Fan working all night and very loud. I woke up with a headache because pillows were so uncomfortable. The only good things are the location, room service, and breakfast with many options. I’ll not stay again though. I feel like a zombie after not being able to sleep.

Had a lovely 5 night stay in this hotel. It's in a fantastic central location (literally a 5 min walk into the middle of Times Square), it's modern, the rooms are very nice and the breakfast buffet excellent. My only criticism (and I am being incredibly fussy here) is the lack of hotel information in the rooms, you had to scan a QR code to get any info, and if you're useless with technology like I am, this isn't easy.

We stayed here for 4 nights during visit to NYC. Firstly, the hotel is in a great location, being a few minutes walk from times square. Check in was quick and easy with great staff. Rooms were modern and comfortable. The only thing was that rooms had no kettles! We need our tea and coffee! The breakfast buffet was really good, with something for everyone and really set you up for the day. The hotel was kept scrupulously clean in all areas. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely hotel. Good sized rooms that were clean and tidy. Breakfast was superb. Good dejection of food. Good location in times square. Had a great time. Staff very helpful. One dour point. I asked staff to book me a taxi to take us to Newark airport for 4 people. They told me it would be $130 all inclusive and no need to tip. Imagine my shock when I was charged $168 and drives expected a tip. To say I was angry is an understatement.

If you want to stay next to a construction site who start work at 7 every morning that’s a bonus I can’t see why no one has pointed this out beforehand . Unfortunately we were bed ridden for over 3 days with a cough and cold however there is no room service within the hotel not one person came to see if they could help us with anything also there is no way of getting a Dr to visit you the only way to seek medical help is to ring 911 so we had to ride it the best we could . Breakfast well if you are into an all inclusive Spanish hotel well this is for you ! It is like a works canteen all crammed together sitting on plastic garden chairs . On our last occasion my husband went and got his breakfast however it was all cold I complained to Alberto who took it away no apology he then returned and then told my husband to go and join another queue he’d already been up and queued only to get a cold breakfast . Unbelievable !! What would be a good idea is for the management to actually go round and speak to their customers for feedback instead of just standing thinking that they are of importance . At the coffee machines for fresh milk you have to go to where the cereals are to get it . It would be better if they had milk at the coffee machine with small jugs so you could help your self . The buffet in the evening $37 I had to struggle to get down due to me being poorly I was told they don’t do any hot drinks great water it was then ! They have a cafe within the hotel who will gladly sell you a hot drink though ! Would I recommend. No Would I come back. No I felt the issues we had fell on deaf ears to us being poorly and just wanting a hot drink to have with our tea was no big deal but obviously it was . It’s all about the customer experience and there is nothing better way of relying this than word of mouth . This holiday was 3 years in the making due to covid if this was my first visit then I would definitely not recommend returning to New York however having already stayed at The Western and The Crown Plaza I know and expect to be treated . A very very disappointed visit that we have had to work hard for . Not a happy customer !

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights bed and breakfast over the New year period, lovely comfortable and modern spacious room with lovely glass divided bathroom, Really polite staff, fantastic location next to Times Square. Didn’t really enjoy the buffet breakfasts as they were generally luke warm at best, but having said that the Hotel was very busy. Only suggestion We can forward to this hotel is coffee tea making facilities were missing from the rooms, But generally this hotel was Very good and we highly recommend it. Would return here without question.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your resort. This website will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it. Amazing stay. Hotel was spotless! Good breakfast. Would stay again!

Great hotel, nice and spacious room, good location, good breakfast. This hotel is great to explore New York. The location is nice and central and close to subway stations to easily travel throughout New York. Its also located in "Restaurant street" so lots of options for diner are close by. The rooms are nice and spacious, big bathroom and big shower. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options for food including lots of fresh fruits, pastries etc. The only thing I did not like here was the coffee. Breakfast is also served in 3 rooms. 2 of them are rather large and noisy. Its also served in the restaurant but has less space so its not always possible to get a seat here. The hotel also has a coffee shop and a bar. The bar has a happy hour every day from 4PM-9PM. A great option to start or end your day.

Basically the best hotel in Manhattan. EVERYTHING was more then perfect. Very welcoming, excellent service, cleanliness, attention to details. Breakfast was more than great. This place is worth to be a 5 star hotel. Thank you so much to every single team member who in one way or the other contribute to make our stay a special one

I stayed at this hotel in the middle of March 2020, and this hotel seemed to be popular. This hotel is very clean, and the staff is friendly. They have a good bar and cafe inside. The restaurant where I had a buffet was so good. The location is convenient too. Times Square and the theater are walkable. I was cautious because the shows ended around 10 pm, and I needed to go back to the hotel on foot, but I could safely come back. Highly recommended!
