Great Location!!! Close to everything.....The rooms are dated. As a Titanium member; I got upgraded to a suite but what is strange is that they only have a queen bed in a suite however, a superior room has a king bed. Comfortable beds and pillows. My biggest gripe was the older looking rooms. The suggestion to management is to include vegetarian items in the complimentary breakfast. We picked items from the regular menu as we had no choice. After a little back n forth; the charge was taken off. This situation would not arise if there was a vegetarian option/s

After reading the reviews before going I was worried about this hotel. Once I arrived all my fears were put to rest. I must say I had an amazing experience from check in to check out. I was offered a late check out of 2pm with no hesitation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was great and all amenities were appreciated. The hotel staff went above and beyond in their attentiveness to detail. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a convenient location to just about anywhere. Thank you W for making my vacation a pleasant one.

The room was great. Front desk staff, security, bartenders, lounge and everyone were horrible to me and my friends when we stayed there for a friend's birthday for the weekend. The only people who gave us splendid service was housekeeping and concierge. Everyone gave us attitude and did not make any one of us feel welcome whatsoever. I get better service at the Mariott/Ritz Carlton. But it's my fault for trying to look for a cheaper hotel to accommodate all my friends. Will never stay at this hotel ever again. Thank you for showing me what horrible service is like.

A tale of two... hotels The location is great! The lobby is clean and trendy looking still. The staff is very helpful and they were able to find my house keys when I left the hotel without them. On the other hand my room was not designed for a business traveler, looked old and small even by Manhattan standards.

My friend and I stayed over the weekend before Christmas at this hotel. I liked the comfortable beds and that they included a fridge and microwave in the room, also the current in the shower was very strong exactly the way I like it. But the room was a bit too small. Also the complimentary breakfast that we got was so small I can't understand why they call it a breakfast. I also loved their gym, it was spacious and had state of the art equipment. So overall my experience was not bad.

I stayed here for my birthday and it was pretty alright. Their vegan burger was truly delicious. Most staff members were quite pleasant. In all honesty, the rooms are cozy but many of my friends complained how small it was in comparison to their hotel rooms they rented that weekend for better value and amenities. I ran into a few issues while staying there including an unpleasant situations and staff members. I probably will not be returning unless it’s a work-related trip that’s being covered.

The room was small but cleaned every day I was there. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room which was a major let down. Advertised a free breakfast but that was not available. Special thanks to the evening dining room staff on the Friday night as they were superb ambassadors to the hotel. The young lady in the bar area namely Kristen or Kirsten deserves special praise as she was like the dining room staff absolutely superb. Overall I would stay here if I come over the pond from Scotland.

The hotel was pretty nice for the price. Compared to other hotels in the area it was more affordable. The lobby is beautiful and overall the decor is great. We had a Suite which was a pretty good size. However, the bathroom could be bigger. We were able to push check-out 1 pm which was nice. One thing that bothered me was that the room wasn't ready when we got there around 6 pm but fortunately we only had to wait a few minutes as the cleaning staff was finishing up.

Location is great, in midtown and the lounge is very hip and comfortable- nice place to catch up on work, relax or meet up. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are 4 elevators so getting up to rooms is pretty quick. The rooms are up to date as well and they upgraded me to a superior room, which was a lovely corner room. My carpet was damp, like they had just run a carpet cleaner so my socks and feet got wet. The blow-dryer wasn't very strong and up to date. Probably my least favorite thing about the room was that there was no full length mirror and the mirror in the bathroom was really high! It came to just below my shoulders.

Location is great, staff was lovely, but the rooms are definitely lacking. The smallness in their size is less bothersome than how paper-thin the walls are - you can hear everything - and I mean EVERYTHING. I will say that their gym was pretty good - great size and enough equipment to get the job done. I do think it’s generally an overrated hotel - doesn’t feel “luxury” but for the right price I would probably stay there again.

work always put me in this hotel for the business trip. standard room. considerably more spacious than same price hotels. mini bar isn't very cold. shower pressure is okay. but if you're taking shower at busy time, you will only get warm water.

Excellent location, a stone's throw from the metro and Time Square very close.. a significant advantage given that you can stay late at night and easily return on foot. Even though New York is well connected, distances are often long and it takes time to travel. Clean hotel, in itself without glory and without infamy. I had a good time but I wasn't thrilled even though it was a 4 star hotel (to be honest I had a cozy room).

Great location. Very uncomfortable bed linens and pillows. The hotel could also be taken care of a bit better in my opinion. Dishes sitting outside rooms for hours at a time in the hallway, common areas not attended regularly. Staff was attentive and helpful. Not much of a view but good price on Expedia for this prime location in the city

Central and comfortable. The attention was more or less and the food menu had little variety.

The location is perfectly centered around everything you might want to do in lower Manhattan, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Grace and Dennis both helped me get an early check in/late check out which was insanely helpful considering my travel schedule. Also they provide really cool perks like free Citibike passes and drink vouchers. Room was small but amazingly comfortable still! All in all a great hotel I would happily stay at again.

The service was amazing. Kevin at the front desk went above and beyond to early check in and upgrading my room. The only reason it was not five stars is due the fact the rooms are really dated. They have not changed since it was the W. With that said, I would stay here again as the service was excellent and the rooms were clean! (Just dated;). Highly recommend and I travel frequently!:)

Well located, but the room is small, no refrigerator, but it has a safe. It was weird that they only offered a shampoo/conditioner in one product - I had to go buy my own. I didn't have a great view, but I'm sure there are some wonderful ones available. Otherwise, the food is delicious.

It’s alright. The staff is rude as hell so talking to anyone here is pointless. Check-in took about forever because there was one person working and three watching and commenting on her work. No sense of customer service at all. Rooms are basic. Beds are fine. Shower was solid. Better than your average. Location works well for me and there are some good restaurants in this part of town. Was fine, but probably will not book here again due to the staff.

Stayed at The Maxwell for my daughters 8th birthday. I was emailed before arrival asked if I needed anything before I even got there. They went above and beyond to make sure my daughters room was perfect for her birthday. Everyone was extremely kind and informative always asked if you needed anything. And the location of this hotel was perfect!!! We would definitely stay at this location time and time again. 5 Stars!
