Beautiful
but
flawed
historic
hotel
in
perfect
midtown
location.
Gorgeous,
lobby
and
friendly
staff
on
arrival.
The
hotel
is
obviously
affected
by
hiring
challenges
and
a
lack
of
staff
as
check
in
was
a
bit
slow
as
was
dropping
off
and
picking
up
luggage
with
bell
service.
We
stayed
in
the
Modern
Art
Suite,
a
very
spacious
corner
room
with
lots
of
light
and
a
huge
outdoor
balcony.
The
room
should
be
a
5
star
space,
but
it
needs
a
bit
of
an
overhaul,
especially
the
bed
which
is
basically
peeling
away
layers
of
faux
leather.
There
is
a
mini
bar,
but
it
is
not
stocked.
Thankfully,
there
is
a
mini
fridge
and
a
coffee
maker
so
you
can
shop
at
Ernest
Klein
&
Co
nearby
and
pick
up
your
own
snacks
and
drinks.
Apparently,
while
most
nearby
hotels
have
restarted
room
service,
it
is
not
coming
back
to
the
Warwick.
A
bit
frustrating
and
not
what
you
would
expect
in
a
hotel
that
advertises
itself
as
a
"luxury"
hotel.
So,
don't
count
on
sending
up
a
bottle
of
champagne
or
wine
to
celebrate
an
occasion,
(like
a
60th
birthday)
it's
not
happening.
Additionally,
the
restaurant
and
bar
times
are
limited,
so
make
sure
you
plan
accordingly.
The
biggest
frustration
voiced
by
almost
every
single
guest
we
encountered
is
the
elevator
set
up.
There
are
3
tiny
elevators
serving
the
hotel,
so
wait
times
in
the
lobby
or
on
your
floor
can
be
exasperating.
We
took
the
stairs
down
25
floors
to
avoid
the
wait.
The
management
should
consider
opening
the
3
service
elevators
to
guests,
since
they
are
not
being
used
for
room
service.
With
a
bit
of
updating
and
a
little
more
focus
on
service,
the
Warwick
could
be
a
4+
star
hotel.
