A friend of mine was staying there. I was able to look around and everything seemed top notch as would be expected. I was especially surprised at the size of the TV in the room truly huge compared with just about any hotel I have visited. The front desk is well staffed polite and security minded. They have a well stocked shop for those little things you might have forgotten.

What can I say more. After all, it's Midtown Manhattan! The room was quite small for the price I paid, and everything (facility-wise) was a bit below the expectation you would hold upon the brand. But again... Can't complain much since its location is all that matters. If you are visiting New York for business reasons, relying on public transportation, and most importantly, not too picky, this hotel can still be a reasonable option for you. The staffs were super friendly and professional 👍👍

Fairly dated property, the rooms are at least 10-15 years old, the AC units date back to the 90’s and they operate like it. Worm carpet and stains on the floor. Water pressure is ok but not great and the bistro cafe is pretty bare bones. Perhaps good for a cheap family vacation spot but not an ideal business hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. While it may seem a little dated, it was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the people who hold your bags for you. We were able to check in early when we arrived and it was a great price compared to other hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

New update: no further contact from management Updates: No further communication from the hotel management besides a first email!!!! We stayed for three nights here, mostly good experience until we found that we are missing $1700 from our suitcase that never left the room and could only be searched and accessed by the housing staff. Customer service have the audacity to point fingers at us saying we should have put it with the front desk when it is clearly an internal control issue and lack of training among the staffs. We deserve a proper answer, appreciated.

We stayed at this courtyard during a recent trip to NYC and were very pleased with the front desk staff, the hotel in general and the location. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable, maid service was excellent. We felt super safe here and very welcomed. Rooms in NYC are on the small side, but we chose a junior suite and had plenty of room for five of us. A junior suite here is equivalent to a standard double room elsewhere. Front desk will store your luggage while you spend the day out and about in the city. Super convenient. Located near the subway at Lexington and 53rd as well as close to many locally owned restaurants and bars that we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

As a family of 5 it is hard to find a comfortable place to stay without having to get 2 rooms. However this location offered the queen junior suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. This was perfect for us. And the room was much bigger than we thought. The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and nicely located within manhatttan. You can also get breakfast at the hotel, which is very convenient with young children. Highly recommend for families. Enjoy!!

I stayed at this hotel with my family on a vacation to New York. We reserved a junior queen suite. The room was very spacious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the location was outstanding. Lots to do nearby, and subway was one block away. The rooms were quiet, no noise from guests, but there was street noise (it is New York after all). The negative: rooms are dark. Very, very dark. Incredibly difficult to get dressed because you cannot see. We had two beds in our room, one was quite comfortable, the other was a brick with a big dent in it that creaked and groaned every time a person moved. The water backed up in the tub when you showered every day. We reported it to the staff and they sent someone by, but there was no improvement. Overall, we got our money's worth, but only because it was in New York. I would have been disappointed with this room in a "regular" city. That said, in the end we consider it a good value. Major kudos to the staff for their friendliness and professionalism.

Amazing staff. Not usually expected at a Courtyard - but this team is incredible. Michael (new at the front desk) was a pro. The Assistant General Manager was welcoming and polite. This is not your average courtyard. After a late checkout at 4:00 pm and a junior suite upgrade - we ended up leaving a pair of expensive sunglasses. We called Michael from LaGaurdia - he called back 15 min later and will ship them to our house. With over 1100 nights in a Marriott property - I Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We had the Junior Suite, a corner with great views of 3rd ave. Staff was super friendly, very welcoming and prompt with our requests. Michael up front was very helpful and informative. The 866 Bistro staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, the breakfast was delicious! The only negative was the pull out bed was uncomfortable and loud but it’s not that big of a deal.

Rooms are nice but nothing fancy. The location is unbeatable though. If you're coming from JFK and take the E train into Manhattan you'll come out of the subway across the street from the hotel. The staff is very friendly, more so than most places I've stayed.

We have stayed at Courtyard couple of times and they have never failed to deliver great service and clean rooms. The hotel is within 15-20 min walk from Rockefeller, Radio city, and Time Square. On rainy days we did take the metro which is on the same block only 3 min walk from hotel. We stayed for 3 days the week before Christmas to enjoy some NYC Holiday cheers - my kids loved it and we’ll be back again this year. The parking garage located on the same block on 53rd St is also amazing, our new car did not have a single scratch on it. Thank you guys for taking good care of it.

Excellent location. Would give 5 stars but they didn’t honour our Friends & Family rate, which was quite disappointing. That said, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and our room on the 31st floor was spacious (by NYC standards), and had great views. The car service that the hotel has is excellent, our driver Manny was fantastic. Knowledgeable, dependable, and we used his services several times over the weekend we were there. Manny is the best!

Location is great and room is clean. That is pretty much the positive. No towels in room when we checked in at night. Had to ask 3 times - phone, front desk and front desk.... Clean room, great front desk staff. They have a relationship with the black cars with they seem to get a cut back for every customer they refer. Interesting..... Would not recommend to stay here if you are a light sleeper. We heard construction and garbage trucks at night through the window on a high floor.

I have over 1400 nights a year in marriot hotels and I have never experienced such a poor display of a marriot property. I have never once left a review as I am very easy going however the staff was extremely rude! I did mobile entry but was denied as I might be a scammer even though I was a platinum elite. Then I got food delivered and they wouldn’t bring it to my room and when I went down only had fork available. After all of this I asked them why they couldn’t bring it to the room like it is always and their response was under staffed as 5 people stood at the counter without a single customer. Will never stay her again!

My team and I came to NY for an expo and stayed at your establishment. 1 person in particular stood apart from the rest. Anna at the counter was an amazing ambassador of your brand and NY city. She was always available, gave us great advice on where to go while in town. We had shipments come in and she was first to alert us by name when we walked back to hotel. Thank you Anna and keep up the amazing work.

Service wasn’t matching what other Marriott’s in Manhattan I’ve stayed in.We had the junior suite, which is the best room that they offered and to our surprise, carpets were dirty and stained with chewing gum residue, there was mold on the walls of the bathroom and house keeping staff kept trying to come in, despite having the Do Not Disturb sign placed on the door. I wasn’t satisfied with my experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They require some major improvements to deliver quality service to their guest.

The location is absolutely perfect! I mean, everything is so close. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They are also very accommodating. Took my fiancé here for birthday trip and he had a blast. I would stay here every time I visited NYC. This would be my #1 choice!

There's a gentlemen at the service desk named Michael. He worked the evening of 11/26 and 11/27. Give that man a raise, he gave amazing customer service, made sure me and my son felt right at home. Also the rooms are spacious and clean and our view was amazing. Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing. The front desk staff are very kind and accommodating. I got to check in early and they had no problem putting me on one of the top floors (I love the views). The rooms are impeccable, the WiFi works well, and the beds are comfortable. All in all, a great place to stay.

Would stay again if need be for another two day trip, staff were super nice throughout elevator issues upon check in and our 2 nights there. Rooms are clean and comfortable but get food offsite - $21 for a little salami and cheese package and $8 bottled beverages from the little on site grab n go. Grab what you need from next door at Duane reade conveniently.

Had a great time in NYC this Christmas at the courtyard. Only concerns were that the room is a little small for us as a family of four. Also, parking was 3 blocks away. Tv was also a little finicky along with the pillows being flat. Overall it was fine and this is a great place to stay for a few nights. Clean and close to Hudson yards with amazing staff.

Boy oh boy. When I reserved a room I did not expect to be able to hear every single thing both of my neighbors said and did! I could hear the TVs, I could hear conversations -- everything. To make things even better, the breakfast I paid for was enough to feed a pet Chihuahua not a human being. No buffet style, no nothing -- just a tiny little dish that was either heated up or microwaved. Starbucks food at a hotel for a hefty charge. The cleanliness wasn't great either, the hotel flooring was generally a bit dirty and housekeeping would always miss something when coming in the room. The icing on the cake, however, was that on one of the days my shower started leaking brown water when I turned the tap on. That's not exactly reassuring! Overall, for ~500 a night, not even close to worth it.

We stayed here for 8 weeks in February to April, 2021. We were always treated like family, by ALL of the staff. That being said, a special shout out goes to Veryl, our housekeeper. The woman is a gem: Does her work as well as Michelangelo painted the Sistine ceiling. And the location! At the cusp of the residential upper east side, and the mighty midtown east business district! The location was awesome, even for a jaded New Yorker, such as myself. We live on the upper west side, but we're gonna come back for a stay, just for the fun of it!

Very pleasant stay. Located right next to a subway stop. Waking distance to Central Park, Fifth Ave. etc. Rooms were spacious for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). View was good unlike many other NYC hotels where all you see is the building next to you. They have pre-negotiated daily parking rates ($45) with a garage within 4 min walk. Was the best rate I could find from all my search. Please note that you can't take the car in and out once you park. Staff was friendly. Would definitely come back.

This hotel did not meet our expectations. There was no water bottles in the room, no mini bar and no tea bags. The service was quite sluggish. We requested for tea bags and toilet paper (which should be extra in the bathroom!) but they didn't bring them to us, so we had to walk back to the front desk and ask again. The strangest part was parking. When I called, they said it'd cost $55 or $65 per day depending on the size. However, when we arrived, there was another company (SP+ parking) managing it. They said this is the cost of keeping the car 24hrs in the parking without moving it but if you want to take the car out in between you should pay more. It's bizzare! I've never seen anything like this in any of the hotels I've ever been. At the time of check-out the hotel wanted to charge us $65 and when we told them it's $55 they said oh yes you're right!! When we wanted to get our car after check-out we were standing in a line for one hour because this parking only had ONE worker to serve the customer. Thanks to God we drove to NY cause if we had a flight we wouldn't make it. I don't recommend this hotel and I won't stay in it ever again.

After a canceled flight and hours of delays we finally arrived in NYC for our girls weekend. Our check in was seamless at 2am. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had issues the next am with the drainage of our sink and tub. I went to the front desk and had the pleasure of talking to Mimi! I explained our situation, and she was very sympathetic and said she would get it taken care of immediately. She also offered to move us to a different room. I opted for the new room and it highly succeeded my expectations! Mimi could not have been any kinder and accommodating to remedy the situation! We chose this hotel based on the location that was in close proximity to my daughters apt. as well as the reviews I read. We will definitely stay here again! Kudos to MiMi and the hotel in general!!!

Great place to stay in Manhattan NYC. Family friendly, affordable and clean hotel right in the Center of the city. We really wanted to stay in Manhattan to be close to Times Square and Times Square Church. Courtyard by Marriot New York was perfect for that. We were able to walk around the city at night to show our daughter the city life and early in the am get breakfast in Manhattan cafes without being stuck in rush hour traffic. Super famous Central Park was also just 5 minute walk away. Get up early, pick up some bagels, run over to Central Park, tour MET. What else could we ask for.

What a wonderful experience. This hotel has it all…Location, Lovely accommodations and Wonderful staff. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was wonderful and spacious with unobstructed Manhattan views. The common areas are thoughtfully designed for not only large groups but also intimate seating for sharing a glass of wine with a friend or loved one or simply enjoying a comfy chair in a corner to read a book. We very much enjoyed this. Our outings included a wonderful boat ride around the Statue of Liberty, a lovely outing in Central Park as well as a fantastic day walking the street, sightseeing, shopping and eating some authentic New York Pizza and Lasagna on an outdoor patio.

The beds were horrific. So uncomfortable! For $500 a night, the bed should be comfortable. We came on a busy weekend so I know the price was partially associated with how busy the city was but a comfortable bed should be a standard that can be met by a hotel. We loved being at a spot where we could walk to Central Park easily and the view was nice. Had the beds been comfortable, this would easily be 4 stars.

We stayed in a family room for a few days. The room had plenty of space and was nice and clean. Location was good, a bit quieter than areas around it but only a short distance to most attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and, while choice was a bit limited, it was plenty enough. There is a small gym as well, which had plenty of available equipment when I went.

I’m surprised this is only a 3 star hotel and not 4 stars. Everything was perfect. Price was kind of expensive but I think that’s because we booked last minute so I think otherwise it would be okay. Highlights: - very clean - huge rooms, especially for nyc - very friendly staff - they hold your luggage if needed - free late checkout at noon instead of 11am - good, central location - rooms did a pretty good job of being soundproof of keeping noise out, I barely heard anything from the hallways or rooms next door - full length mirrors on the closet doors No complaints here!

Kudo's to the entire staff at this Marriott location! This hotel was clean! I do my own sanitation upon entry to my assigned room and found nothing. The staff was kind enough to hold our luggage after check out so that we could get in a bit more fun prior to departing the City!! Definitely will stay at this location again!!

Would not recommend staying here at all. I booked a particular room that would provide myself and my 4 guests enough space to get ready for my wedding and I was told that my original room was booked (funny because I booked it months in advance) and I would have to be given two separate rooms. Not at all ideal when I’m getting ready for my big day. The manager told me he already comped me an additional room and no discount or comp would be given. Glad to know that’s how you treat a bride. However, the additional room wasn’t a comp he had to give me that room regardless because I had 5 people in my reservation. This also happened to some of my out of town guest who stayed at this location. However, my white guests were treated very well! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Stay at the Hilton it’s not too far from this establishment and they know how to treat their customers.

Great service right from the start. When we were checking in, the agent was helpful and cheerful and when I mentioned we had kids, she got us a corner room with an incredible view! Then, to top it off, housekeeping went above and beyond, setting up all the stuffed animals that made the experience extra special. Definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 Amy M. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were very helpful and our room was cleaned daily, which does not happen at many hotels since Covid. The only negative was that we were told our ride to the airport would cost us $65 but the driver then charged us $70. It was very hot on our days that we stayed but our 24th floor room stayed cool.
