The hotel is perfect, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal for doing many things on foot, such as times square, fifth avenue, Rockefeller, Empire state, Grand central, etc. The breakfast that is included in the reservation is quite satisfactory. Every day there is a variety of food such as fruit, pancakes, waffles, eggs, a different protein every day, juice, coffee, milk, tea, cereal with milk, yogurt, etc. The rooms are spacious compared to other hotels, it includes a refrigerator, a small kitchen, a small table to eat, a closete, security box, a television, the bathroom in our room was spacious, there was a hair dryer and an iron. In our room we had a very good view despite being on the sixth floor. The cleaning of the room is done daily. Hotel staff is very friendly and some speak more than one language like Spanish, French and Italian. In the lobby every day in the afternoon there are different snacks such as popcorn, fruit, flavored water and they are free. They also have a market that sells different foods, water and personal care. 100% recommended!!!!

Stayed at Marriott earlier this month on 1st July . We had issues with our room but then we were shifted into a bigger room. I would say that the rooms are quite dated and really needs some renovation but the staff was really good and helpful. We had a nice view of Empire State Building from our room and were also able to see the fireworks from our room. The breakfast was nice, had a lot of variety . It was a girls trip and we really had fun. The hotel reception always helped us and even allowed us late checkout. I didn’t take down the name of the staff member in security and reception but would like to thank them for their help. I would recommend this hotel because of the service of staff and location.

Great place to stay. Hotel has a great location, as it is few blocks from Bryant Park (which is one of the most beautiful parks in NY) and from 5th Ave. Room had one bathroom, kitchen (fully equipped with microwave, fridge, toaster and utensils to cook) and main room with a big bed and sofa-bed. Regarding breakfast, it was great. Every day we had different options to eat, from fruits to egg & bacon. Food may vary between each day but it is a great breakfast service. Room service was good. Every day our towels were changed and beds done. Moreover, we had a great view of Empire State building. If you are planning to stay in NY, this is one of the best places to stay at.

Location was perfect for the places that we wanted to visit. The metro was so close, Times Square was closed. There is a Whole Foods like two blocks away if you want to get some water or other snacks. The fridge and microwave in the room were very clean over all the room for the New York with spacious and clean enough. Staff was always very friendly and ready to help with the valet. The car was never used we always use the metro. We only had breakfast at the hotel once and my husband went and just picked up a few stuff and bought it back to the room. Overall the location and the price for excellent and so is the service. Make sure to bring a usb wall charger as the room isn’t modern enough to just connect your cable to a wall or lamp. Only the “radio” has this feature.

The customer service was amazing. Our Airbnb was a scam & we were in search of an affordable place to stay. I booked through a third party & we walked into the lobby 15 minutes after booking. We told them what happened & the customer service told us to pull our car around & they had a room ready for us. They were amazing & I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NYC. It is in walking distance to everything & just overall a great place.

Perfect location away from the hustle and the bustle of Times Square but still within a very close 5 minute walk. Bryant Park and the New York Public Library is across the street for those who need to relax and unwind. Hotel rooms perhaps will need some updating in the near future however the service was impeccable especially the front desk and concierge. Always there to provide detailed and helpful information in regards to getting around the city, attractions and food choices. Very courteous, hospitable, pleasant and friendly. The employees made our family vacation less cumbersome and more enjoyable. We will most definitely without hesitation choose this hotel on our next New York vacation. Keep it up and well done!!!

We stayed at this hotel a couple of times and have found it to be wonderful during all the stays. Locations wise was nice for us, easy to get around. Lots to see and do. Valet parking is upfront. We were iffy at first leaving our car with them (we all hear horror valet stories) but it worked out fine; no scratches. Checking in and out was a breeze. The room is large in any location, much less in Manhattan. We love the space it offers for us to spread out a bit. Also great to be able to have a kitchen to cook some late night snacks and keep our drinks cold. The room itself is a bit dated and could use an update, but overall was fine. We found that while they offer free wifi, it was far too slow and many times would not be fast enough to load anything. TV works well with many channels available. Breakfast was included and we found it to be good. Good variety, some of the selections stayed and some were rotated daily. Price point wise.... its NYC. Expect to pay to play. Mid range for NYC, expensive compared to smaller cities.

Really amazing friendly staff. Rooms are a good size and well priced for the location. Building is clean and while not fresh, it’s not outdated either. Parking garage next door will bill to your room. So much going for this hotel but one big, big problem. The elevators. I’ve stayed here half a dozen times this year so far, and I’ve routinely experienced 15-20 minute waits for an elevator to get downstairs from my room. As I type this review, I‘be been standing on the 14th floor for 18 minutes waiting for an elevator. When elevators show up they are already so jammed with people that you literally can’t get in. It’s not just an inconvenience, it’s a safety problem. I have routinely been on cars that would lurch and slip between floors, doors opening and having to step up or down to the actual floor. I won’t be staying here again and just can’t recommend it.

Great location. But it is a mess the elevators and the breakfast área. Too much people, very crowded. Also the service wasn't great. A little big disappointed about that. And the sofa bed was very old. And they won't ask people to wear masks, they can't enforce this policy but they cold ask politely but decide not to do it.

Great staff! Respectful and friendly too. Rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet has a wonderful variety of foods for everyone in the family. It was close to the NY Public Library & Bryant Park. Perfect location from subway stations and bus lines so you can see the many features of an amazing city! Our family had a wonderful stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The room is a great size, the breakfast options are great, very nice sitting area to eat, very helpful nice staff. I told the guy at check in that we wanted a high floor because it was my boys first time in the city and he upgraded me to a corner view room which was awesome! The location is great, right down the street from Times Square. Close enough to get there in a couple minutes but far enough away to be a lil more quiet. Bryant Park is very close and a very nice park, stores, pizza, and deli across street and right next to hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and view from our corner room. We were able to check in early after a very long flight, was very good. Rooms not quite 100% clean but ok. Bed excellent. Breakfast included but is a feeding frenzy environment and I rejected several plates and cutlery that was not clean enough and the staff were arguing with each other. Totally not cool. Lifts can be a disaster if you’re in a hurry.

Excellent Location , the metro was 1-2 blocks . There is a Whole Foods like a block away and mini market as well . Plenty of restaurants on same street and around. The fridge and microwave and the kitchen in the room were very clean . The room was very spacious and clean enough. Glasses, plates and silverware available in the room. Hot breakfast bufete was awesome and they the menu 1-2 times, eggs, bread, coffee, juices, waffles, meats, fresh fruit, oatmeal , grits, bakery salads, plenty of options. Busy elevator during breakfast time. Excellent customer service.

This is my second time staying at the Residence Inn/Times Square and it once again exceeded all expectations. We spent two nights and had two rooms. Both rooms were clean, spacious and appointed well. We arrived early for check in and were immediately able to be accommodated which was a great surprise and very much appreciated. The front desk staff was on point our entire stay. The breakfast buffet was substantial and tasty. And this hotel is the perfect location for sightseeing all over the city. Walking distance to so much and centrally located between several key subway stops. This will always be my go-to hotel for my NYC stays. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant experience!

We really enjoy coming to this hotel, the staff is always very friendly and attentive. They have a nice breakfast buffet and eating area that is a great way to start your day. The rooms (at least the ones we have had) have a beautiful view of 6th Ave and Bryant Park which we really enjoy. The rooms are very dated though the couch has seen better days, the TV is small for the size of the room and isn't a smart TV so you can't stream any movies or shows. The bathrooms are VERY tight and the water pressure isn't very good also they don't have full size body wash, shampoo, or conditioner. I do like that they have a full size fridge and microwave, that is very convenient.

It is a nice hotel with perfect value for money. Special thanks to Sergio from the lobby reception team. We told him that our parents arrived to visit us in the US (it was the first time in the US for them) to see their grandson for the first time. He promptly disappeared and brought us a baby bodysuit as a present for our baby boy. It was so nice of him!!! Thank you, Sergio!!! The only problem was that we didn't have water for breakfast, which could disappoint a lot of people. It wasn't a big deal for us though.

This hotel was great in SO many ways. Spotlessly clean. Room was so comfortable. Bed was so comfortable. Staff was great, friendly, hard working. Location was PERFECT. Close to Times Square but not right in it all. Bryant park is LOVELY and it's 1 block down. By far, this is one my favorite experiences I've ever had. Just low key, easy and lovely. I ❤️ NY! and this hotel.

Staying currently here .. liked the hotel and it's location.. things were fine until we couldn't open the bathroom on our fourth night. Understandable that the engineers were not there to fix it.. We were given a choice to move to a smaller room( which had just a single queen bed and we were 3 ppl) or us the bathroom in the lobby.. The room was next door and they were not willing to give both rooms just for that night too . He insisted that he expects us to use the room without the bathroom or the smaller room. Ridiculous !! Never staying here.

My wife and I have been staying at the Times Square R.I. since it opened. I believe it's time that hotel rooms are in need of a refresh. The furniture looks worn, the TV's need to be updated to smart TVs with internet streaming apps. The hotel is not up to Marriott standards. Upon returning to our room on the third day of our stay part of the kitchen ceiling was hanging down. The manager moved our room and comped the night.

Weekend event with 2 ladies for special birthday - our room was clean, spacious enough space for 3(with sleeper sofa); great view - corner rm; & the staff was wonderful - Special Shout-out to the Guest Services Agent Sergio Requena…he was so pleasant at check-in & so helpful with directions, questions & accommodating our group needs - he definitely helped make our stay enjoyable! The free bkfst included was great as well as the lounge room. Highly recommend! From a NC girl (frequent traveler)

Location is good for a central spot to base out of. There's a subway entrance for across the street most destinations, very convenient. Had to "hack" the thermostat in the room so we could get temp below 68deg. Upper floors have great views of the city!! Was nice, had the Empire State Building in our view! Elevators are ridiculous though in the morning since everyone is going to the 4rd floor for the free breakfast, so plan accordingly. Overall, it's a descent place and very convenient to most things in Manhattan!

The room is quite comfortable, although you can see and feel that the hotel is already quite old. The biggest disadvantage is the huge problem with water. The shower head was in terrible condition, the water barely flowed. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to Bryant Park, library, and other tourists places. We liked the breakfast, it was varied, there was enough space and it was pleasant to be in the cafe

The hotel is in a wonderful location. Excellent service, variety of good breakfast options, our room was clean and beautiful, and the lounge on the 3rd floor is great. Sergio at the front desk was SUPER helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us lots of tips and information that were very useful during our vacation.

This hotel was fair at best! The location probably was the best part about it, that and the beds were comfortable. Our room was very run down. The toilet was broken , the air unit was super loud and our room phone didn’t work. The bathroom had a bad mildew smell as well and was super tiny.. The hotel was over crowded and it was very tough getting onto an elevator that wasn’t packed. The breakfast appeared to be a nice buffet , but the food was terrible, even the coffee. Would not recommend or stay there again.

We stayed here for 7 nights and everything worked perfectly. The room for 4 people turned out to be very comfortable and clean and every time we returned we found it neat and tidy. The breakfast is very complete and well prepared and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. A very special mention for the bartender Erhan who prepared us refreshing drinks and with great kindness and a pleasant chat recommended us several must-see places to visit during the trip. Getting to know the city was a dream and I can say that this dream was more than fulfilled. They were also kind enough to keep our bags for us on the day of our departure until we were on our way to the airport. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to New York. Its location is unbeatable and the warmth of its people captivated us.

Excellent hospitality. Greeted by staff when we first walked in. Front desk was really busy and were really helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for Times Square, Bryant Park, 5th Ave. shopping, and enjoying Midtown. Staff graciously allowed for a late checkout so we could explore the area before heading home. Thanks to Segio and Georges. We will be back!

Full size refrigerator and microwave, but the room is in desperate need of maintenance and an update. Toilet only worked half the time. It kept not filling with water. Could definitely be cleaner. Kept having to ask for wash rags and lotion because they weren't replaced when dirty/ empty. Couch is stained and cushions were flat. Mirror in bathroom was peeling and permanently spotted. Just not the quality that Residence Inn usually is.

This is a great hotel with wonderful staff, and a perfect location. The subway is 1 1/2 blocks away, and Bryant Park and Whole Foods are a 2 minutes walk. It would be the perfect hotel if it were updated and refurbished. The hallway had exit signs and telephones dangling from one screw on the wall. Our room faucets in the bathroom and kitchen area had no hot water, and despite two attempts, did not get fixed. We are strong believers in Marriott, and stay in a Marriott property whenever we travel. We know the high standards that Marriott requires. For that reason we are wondering how this property has been able to fall into such disrepair with deferred maintenance due to absolute neglect. It’s time to bring this hotel up to snuff.

Perfect hotel to visit NY, easily accessible by public transport from JFK, Time Square is a stone's throw away, metro is even closer. Stores , restaurants , broadway , attractions ... everything is within walking distance . Hotel is dated but everything is clean , staff is friendly and helpful, nice breakfast included, we have a spacious room with a truly beautiful view of the Empire State Building, for us this 7-day stay could not have been better.
