Bed bug found under my pillow the morning of check out. Went immediately down to the front desk staff to be stared at when trying to complain about the issue. Gave him the bed bug that was wrapped in tissue. Absolutely zero help. Kept saying the manager would call me. They haven't over 2hrs later. I won't stop until I receive a full refund. Disgusting. The excuse was that they are under going a renovation, yet the housekeeper that was present when I brought the bed bug downstairs, didn't seem surprised at all. Tried to post a picture of the bed bug but it won't upload.

Overall, my room and stay was great, breakfast was ok, it was the same every day though. The location is a bit sketchy but close to subway and Manhattan, however one of the Indian staff at the front desk was very rude, unprofessional and passive aggressive. The only thing that stopped me from slapping her across her face was the fact she's not worth me catching a charge. The night before I had to check out I went to the front desk 2 times to try and extend my stay for another night and was told come back. The 3rd time I went I was told to come back an hour before check out. So I did and when I did that's when I was told the hotel was closing its doors and they could not extend my stay because by the following day everyone needed to either be transferred to another Best Western location or simple have to leave. Imagine finding this out an hour before check out? How irresponsible and unprofessional. I was giving until 11am to check out or I would be charged a $60 late check out fee. On top of the fact they're kicking me out I had only an hour to pack and find another hotel. It was extremely unpleasant and stressful but luckily I found another hotel walking distance and I'm grateful the other hotel let me check in early because check in was 3pm however I was in the streets with my luggage in the cold. Why? Because of Worst Western. I booked via the app, got NO points for my 5 day stay and never got my security deposit back. Never, ever again. Do NOT recommend. Plenty of other hotels in the area that are affordable, clean and pleasant.

Buyer beware. The hotel charged us 2x and the hotel is blaming it on the payment software and would not take full responsibility. They said this happens sometimes so I wanted to put a warning out there. Although they emailed and faxed my bank I had to go 3 days on my vacation without all that money in my account because it was the weekend. When I asked for a discount for the inconvenience they said it was the software’s fault and they cannot help that it charges people 2x sometimes but not all the time. Also, the delicious breakfast bar has been narrowed down to a granola bar, an off colored apple, and a water in a brown bag. They offered an additional bag for the double charging us. Literally a breakfast bag that cost $3 For them holding $100s of dollars in our account for over a week. Although the wallpaper was peeling significantly from the rooms wall, the room was nice overall.

My husband and I stayed here for about 5 days and we loved it. We had no problems with the place. The staff was great, the rooms were great, if you need something they come right away, there's free breakfast everyday, and it's in a very convenient location. Loved our stay and will definitely be coming back when we return to this area

As someone who lives in the city some of the reviews are a bit over the top and exaggerated. Yes it’s a bit iffy but nothing out of the norm. Bed was very comfy, staff were great, breakfast was pretty good, fitness center was surprisingly good just wish they had a barbell outside of that actually really great stay definitely don’t mind coming back here again. Check in and check out was quick and everything was quite. Some of the furniture were a bit rough and a bit stained but overall 8/10

Decent place at an affordable price. Noteworthy is the proximity of the subway. A good starting point to visit the whole city. Breakfasts are terrible, so do not even bother. Besides that - this place meet my expectation at such a price ;)

Zero stars if it were an option. Booked well in advance for a stay 4 weeks out and a week before check in I’m getting silly emails about problems with reservations & unable to rebook at sister hotels. No calls to offer any other viable solutions. May not want to book here if you don’t like surprises.

I am very glad that we have chosen that particular hotel. It is clean enough and also the price is reasonable. There is an breakfast included, but it is very simple. Moreover, the view from window is fantastic and the localization is great (2-3 minutes walk from the subway line F). Also there is air conditioning in rooms, so it is quite nice (especially during sweltering heats with such high humidity). Overall, I reccomend that hotel!

Good place to stay in Queens if you are trying to save some bucks for your budget friendly trip. Room was between 'Okayish' and 'Good'. Had a tough time with the shower curtain in the bathroom as it didn't help to keep the water from splashing outside. This place has parking lot for a nightly charge of $25 and it wasn't that comfortable to park our car.

Stayed for a week here and had a great time! Breakfast included.. If you are lucky you could get a room with a beautiful view of the Queensboro bridge. If you want to park your car you may have to book it in advance as it gets sold out pretty quick and also very few parking spaces are available. Also the parking space is a bit congested so if you are bringing an SUV just be careful!

I had booked a room coming from ATL to NY for a few days but due to work I need to change plans. I called the hotel and the first guy I talked to was very helpful.. he told me I will have to pay for a day which is fine so I agreed. He said in his own words we cannot charge you for a room you have not used but I will have to pay for 1 day so I agreed.. Later on I had to call back and some guy I don't know who he is was very rude.. Telling me you will be billed for 4 days like really dude. I would not recommend then at all.. you can keep my money but for my company will not be booking with them ever again.

Extremely small rooms and they don’t have any room service during the duration of the stay. They increase the hotel prices on the fly. Avoid this place!

The view from our room was incredible! The staff was kind & helpful, which is quite unique in NYC. Breakfast was convenient although it is very crowded in the breakfast/elevator area. Rooms were clean and the location is very close to a metro station that will take you to Manhattan in just a few minutes. Great value!

I had a very pleasant overnight stay at this location. My second floor room was clean, quiet and larger than expected for a New York hotel room. A great breakfast buffet was included in the room rate and I appreciated having access to water at the coffee station in the lobby. The hotel provides a handy list of directions for popular city attractions and the nearest subway station is about a 5 minute walk away.

Great budget hotel with easy and quick access into Manhattan. The hotel reception were really polite and answered all my inquiries. We arrived early so they managed to get housekeeping to clean a room for us asap so we could check in a couple hours earlier at no charge. When we left they held on to our bags for 4 hours after check out at a cost of $1 a bag. Breakfast was not that good so we didn’t go more than once. While the breads, juices and fruits were good, the hot stuff was cold when we got to it. I think it’s just a matter of timing as the food trays are not heated so eggs, bacon and potatoes could cool down. However, if you were in a big group it’s a good way to save money. The room was spacious. Bed was a bit soft for my liking but still comfy. There was a bit of a cool dampness but you can control heat inside which we used to make the air dryer. Only cleanliness issues we had was that there were hair trimmings (from shaving) from a previous guest around the sink counter and the sheets had markings (markers or pen). I suspect because they rushed to clean the room for our early check in, this was easily missed. The bathtub also could use some new grout as there appears to be some mold in the cracks but it wasn’t excessive. Water was always warm and pressure is sufficient. Our room 511 had a small view of the nearby bridge and skyline and the neighbourhood was pretty quiet. One night guests were blaring their TV but it didn’t go past midnight so was okay. In the end this hotel cost under $200USD a night and the location cannot be beat at that price. The neighborhood seems sketchy at first but in reality it was safe to come home at night and the subway was only 3 mins walk away. Also there’s a great Thai restaurant called the Buffs right around the corner. I highly recommend this for a budget friendly option when visiting NYC. Edited 2022/10/17 for typo. Mold WASN’T excessive.

Hotel was great. Location for us was perfect, not so busy as Manhattan and only a 5 minute walk to the Subway station. We stayed for 9 days, rooms were always very clean. The cleaning staff are very friendly and hardworking. Front desk people also very nice and helpful. The breakfast is complementary and has a good variety. Breakfast staff is doing a wonderful job. A special shout out to Yasmin and Sultana who we got to meet during our stay. We would stay here again.

Says breakfast included on my app. Nonsense ! Pandemic, covid 19.....Blah, Blah, Blah ! So we stop eating ? When are the LAZY fast food chains and this hotel going to quit playing the covid card ? I gotta go where (?) to get ice ? My blinds when closed leave a 4" wide open gap....keep trying to explain that one away at the front desk ! Sloppy ! Place is showing its age.

Let me start with how amazing the ladies were at check in. The lady with the braids that has the gold twine woven in was so kind and helpful even going outside in the freezing cold to see if I was parked in an okay spot to not get towed. The room was clean and functional (what more do you need) and the price was perfectly reasonable. The breakfast was good (it was little cut sausage link things (looked like mini kielbasa or something of that nature) instead of the standard continental patties).

pro: close to subway, enough space and great room cleaning service con: front desk isn't helpful, just seems to be cheap. Over an hour wait for the room.

Really great hotel, clean, comfortable, safe, affordable, great view. Good food within walking distance. We checked in after midnight and the man at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. My family and I would definitely stay here again

Is a nice place very close to the Metro station. The breakfast is good 👍 the service at the front desk is Nice. The rooms a small but conftable. The have a great view of the city. But at night you can hear the noise street. But I think is almost the same in the whole City.

My sister looked up Best Western plus, the people that we spoke to stated that they were best western reservations, they told us that we would get points when we got there. When we got to the hotel,we asked about the points and were told that it was up to the manager. After several conversations with both customer services, we were charged an additional fee for the original room that we thought we were getting and the manager decided not to honor the points. The first 2 guys were nice, but the manager Monica or Monique was not negotiable.....I won't go back there. Parking was hard to get, lots of graffiti around. Area didn't seem too safe.

I like it for what it is. Clean enough, good price, close to the F express train that gets you into town or Jackson Heights (Queens) fast. Service is kind but pays zero attention to special requests and the like. Not much to see in the area (housing projects, tire shops, regular Queens people) but still relatively safe. Deli/convenience store 2 doors down, not much else. Close to Queens Plaza, LIC, Astoria so plenty of good eats & stuff to see/visit there. 4* overall for value, cleanliness and hospitality, otherwise it's kind of dumpy, in a so-so location...

Stayed at this Hotel last week and had an issue with management as we booked room which was suppose to have two beds and a sofa Bed because we were 3 males when went to check in reseption told us that the only room available is with two beds and gave us no alternative. Also says that breakfast is included but doesn't exist. Really unprofessional manager tell us that she understood that we have a problem but doing nothing. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

VERY DANGEROUS NEIBORHOOD DO NOT STAY HERE. Look up Queens ridge houses. The hotel is next to these housing projects.STAFF IS PREJUDICE AGAINST CERTAIN PEOPLE AND ARE VERY HOSTILE. BEST WESTERN CORPORATE DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THESE BULLIES. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
