For 2 star hotel I didn’t have much expectation. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised finding travel size toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner in our bathroom. They provide cleaning only by request. Room was cold when we arrived and the heating button was hard to operate due to its state - the top of the button just wasn’t there. Despite these facts, if you are looking for a cheap stay in Manhattan, go for it. Plus, It’s close to the orange subway line which gets you to the most iconic spots.

I roughly knew it wasn't gonna be WOW by the reviews, but here goes. We were greeted nicely and check in was quick and easy. Clerk even helped me find parking. Walked in the room and we were greeted by a rather peculiar smell; there was pee in the toilet bathroom door open, you get the idea. After airing it out, the room was rather quiet and comfortable. Not a lot of noise coming in to the 4th floor. My recommendation: do a room sweep before settling in just to make sure they did a full cleaning. Otherwise, have a good time

My friends and I had no major issues when staying here this past weekend. Basically a bed to crash in, nothing fancy - get out of your hotel room and go see NYC anyway. Room was clean enough, beds weren’t stained or really dirty, and everything worked fine. Decent low cost option near Chinatown. Only real problem I had was that it took quite a while for the shower water to warm up.

For the price this hotel was surprisingly nice, super outdated and needs reparations but the rooms have their private bathroom and the location is very centralized.

Good place to crash. You should be checking out the city. Bring earplugs! I was in the room next to the lobby and you can hear everything. Room was clean and no bed bugs. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Also very secure.

Was able to get checked in early, and received the Penthouse at no extra cost. Elevator went straight to my room with my keycard which was really cool. Had rooftop access and could see so much of the city. Lots of space in the room. The staff was really nice and always smiling. Would love to stay again.

The Hotel was great! Excellent service, Its staff is very kind, friendly, and attentive to the needs of customers. Really good location, it has 2 subway stations really close. The rooms were really comfortable and clean and the price is cheap. They gives better services than a lot of really expensive hotels. Its not an 5 stars hotel but it makes you feel like it really is. Great experience with them.

Sure, decor is tired and things are worn but if you are like us and use the hotel room to sleep and wash it’s just fine. Handy to subway and you might not even want to leave this vibrant part of this great city!

Great Hotel in a good location in Chinatown. Only five minutes from the subway. The hotel is on the older side but the rooms are ok. Everything is working, sheets are clean and beds are fine. It is not a four seasons though. But for people wanting to visit the city and not only staying at the hotel and don't want to spend a fortune it is a great place. The personnel at the front desk are super nice and accommodating. We felt very welcomed and had a great time.

I read the negative reviews here and was hesitant to stay in this hotel. I gave it a try and didn’t regret it. Let me be clear this isn’t the Ritz. It’s a budget hotel for a good price. Central location, clean, and the staff was very friendly. There were no bugs and the staff did a good job cleaning the room. Will definitely be staying here my next visit.

The cleanliness was my biggest issue staying here for one night. Stains were on the bedsheets and the towels, everywhere was showing signs of neglect like rusty spots in the bathroom and peeling paint on the walls. But overall, the staff was nice and understanding when we checked in late, and it felt kind of homey. It definitely wasn't the worst hotel I have stayed in.

Staff were friendly and check in/out was easy. Generally safe hotel as you have to be buzzed in by front desk. If you are looking for a cheap stay in manhattan, this is a solid place to stay. It is a 2 minute walk from 2 different subway lines which can take you to either Manhattan (Times Square, Central Park, etc.) or Brooklyn/ Queens and is also a 25-30 minute walk to both Lower and Midtown Manhattan. If you don't mind staying in a basic hotel in which you can sleep, shower, and even keep your belongings for a few days then check it out.

Very small and they dont allow bikes inside so I had to strip my bike down and I still had some things stolen. The staff was super helpful and very nice about it. The roof has a wonderful view.

The sheets were dirty, the towels weren't clean. Although they were providing packaged water. We bought it once and decided to buy it from outside. We only went there to sleep. They didn't provide us with new comforters or sheets even though we asked for it twice.

It doesn't get much worse. Very run down. Stained bedding. Cigarette holes burned in furniture, bedding, vanity. Broken furniture. Mattress disgusting and old. Windows so filthy they are opaque. Sleep in your car or in a park. It will be better. Note* Staff at desk very pleasant but helpless to fix problems this big.

Perfect hotel for visiting NY. It could be a little cleaner, but it is not too bad. The location and friendliness of the staff are the reasons to stay here. Your a 20 minute walk from virtually every major attraction in NYC.

Had a great experience here. Stayed for five days. Decent amount of space and everything was pretty clean. Nothing glamorous. Good bang for the buck for the area. Would stay here again in the future.

super cute and homely place. staff were nice, and we got a perfect view of new york city from our window. tv's a little old but we enjoyed our time here.

Hotel is honestly good for the price compared to everything else in NYC. The location is pretty good you're close to china town/soho and right by a subway as well. The room was fine bit of dirt and wear but if you only want to sleep then it's fine. bed is ok. same with blanket. shower works and is hot. tub a bit dirty. tiles and grout a bit dirty. sink is fine. i'd advise bring ur own soaps/stuff. sheets and stuff was clean. didn't se anything out of the ordinary and was pretty quiet for how much it was i'd pick this place again

I love the location but why can't I make a booking online anymore?

This hotel is actually a scam. The rooms are the exact quality youd expect for the price point of $90 a night dont get me wrong. I had an issue with a double booking and they refused to cancel one of my bookings and refund me so they forced me to pay for both rooms which is absolutely ridiculous. To make things worse I asked to speak with the manager to help solve this issue and they said and I quote "he has his own office with a private entrance we have never met him before." Both employees had been working there for over 6 months and they claim they have never met their manager before like WHAT? god awful customer service, just trying to take as much money as possible.
