I had really high expectations from Nix. But what I've eaten here was not memorable. We started off with three cocktails, I got the Nix as it was recommended by our waiter. I should've tried something else as it came with a cherry tomato which isn't my favorite. Next we got the papadam chips and veggies with two dips - walnut red pepper and mint avocado. The first one felt very regular - like I've tasted this before. The avocado dip was strongly overpowered by the mint and ginger in it. I personally did not relish it. We also tried the cauliflower buffalo wings with buns. The cauliflower was very crispy and nicely flavored but the buns could've been salted better in my opinion. The Mayo that came with it helped the taste. We also got two other entrees, one with fried cactus and the other was dumplings. I thought they were lacking somewhat in flavor as well. Coming to the dessert which was also recommended to us in the beginning of our order because it would need a long time in the oven - a baked pineapple with whipped cream, toasted coconut strips and tamarind glaze. This was a blast of flavors and all of us really enjoyed digging into it. For the prices I feel like they could've served us much more flavor and bigger portions.

Excellent dining atmosphere with simple, elegant, and contenporary interior design. All staff are attentive and will check in on you regularly. The music is quite eclectic and transitions between genres through the evening. The food, however, did not fully translate to its Michelin star rating. The seasoning of the main dishes were unbalanced, with the dumplings tasting too peppery from the ginger, while the sauce complementing the tofu packets was overly acidic. For better or for worse, the best dish was the homemade bread and hummus.

Fantastic meal from start to finish! Our waiter Dave was charming and on point as were all of the staff. Our food and cocktails were all interesting and delicious. The room has great energy. I didn’t take photos of all the dishes we ordered because I dug in to the others without pausing! The proof of our 5 stars is we made a reservation for our next meal there before we left.

The most incredible vegan brunch, the best tofu scramble I’ve ever eaten - actually had to check with the waitress we hadn’t accidentally been given scrambled egg. The pancake was also amazing. One of the vegan highlights of our trip.

Had an amazing waitress who was super attentive, funny and giving great recommendations. Food was absolutely amazing, I want to come back to try everything else. I'm not vegetarian and actually didn't even realize this was a vegetarian restaurant. So good!

Every time we go to Nix the food, drinks and service is great. They have inventive ecclectic vegan and vegetarian food that is inspired by many different food cultures without talking into any tired tropes. The menu is simple but with great options, novel combinations and great seasonal ingredients. We try to go every time we're in New York.

Great atmosphere and decor. Staff was friendly and always had a smile on their face. Every dish felt like it was served with love. Food was tasty in their own unique ways. Definitely worth the price.

It's a great place to impress your vegetarian and vegan friends, but it's not going to disappoint the meat-eaters too. There's a separate vegan menu, but the servers pay close attention to mixed groups so that even breads/buns come out unbuttered for the vegan patrons. The menu lists lighter and bolder items. The "lighter" dishes are comparable to an appetizer (but they can sometimes upsize for a charge, just ask) and the "bolder" dishes are comparable to an entree (though still on the smaller side). The egg salad with habanero cream and potato crispies is a fun take on deviled eggs, and the cauliflower tempura with steamed buns has been the most popular entree by far. Come with a group and sample lots of dishes. Oh, and it just earned a Michelin star, NBD.

It gets 4 stars on the back of that mouth watering Bamboo Rice which none of us could get enough of and so we ended up ordering one more! Otherwise it was just decent fare, the cocktails were nothing special and the desserts also didn't wow. The cauliflower dish was way too saucy and the bread was Meh. The egg salad and Burrata was very nice and packed a lot of flavor and is a must try.

We had an amazing Valentine’s day dinner here! Modern and nicely lit restaurant. Have been here before and the menu and service did not disappoint. Cocktails and the delicious wine was on point! Food was fantastic. We did the vegan menu which left us feeling satisfied, full, and very happy. Next time we will definitely get a corner table for more intimacy. Our favorite on the Vday prix fixe was the carrot bolognese. It was out of this world! So much flavor, crunch, heartiness and straight up deliciousness.

Food is absolutely delicious. I love steak and meat all day, but the Mexican-Indian influence really works. Great flavors and really unique dishes! If you are offered the tandoori pineapple for dessert just say yes; you won't regret it.

I guess my expectations were very high because I went to Dovetail a couple of times and absolutely loved the food there, so I naturally thought it was going to be good at Nix too. First of all, Service and ambience is great. The problem is the inconsistency with food. The Garnett yam massaman curry was absolutely delicious. The tandoor roasted beet salad was just ok. But, the cauliflower tempura with steamed buns was just terrible. The cauliflower was so bland, it was unbelievable and the buns were super stiff and dry. The worst was the pineapple dessert... I can’t even describe how bad it was. It was like a plain pineapple with a melted whipped cream and tons of sugar. So sad. We also had a dip that was good, I don’t remember exactly what it was and some papadum chips.

Overall an ok experience here. The staff was nice, service was quick, the food was alright. The ambiance was good but the table we got for 3 was super small and cramped. One member of our party had to step out in the middle because she felt claustrophobic, which she never does. They also charged us $2 per cup of normal hot water... What? Considering we got 8 food items on the menu, this was definitely weird. It was also weirdly very warm in the restaurant. For the food: The tandoor naan was really fresh and I liked the red pepper + walnut dip better than the eggplant one. Really wasn't a fan of the brussel sprout salad, it felt very plain and like nothing exciting. The sweet potato dumplings were yummy but super small in portion, even for 2. For the mains, the bamboo rice was really good and I liked the poached egg with it. My favorite entree was the spicy cauliflower with the buns - the sauce on the cauliflower was delicious and the buns were very fresh. For dessert we had the ginger pear cake, which was okay, wasn't a huge fan. The chocolate pecan dessert was more favorable in taste. I didn't like that the table we got for 3 was super small and cramped, and when given that feedback, didn't really seem well received. Overall, the experience was alright, but wouldn't highly recommend it to someone looking for a high quality Michelin star food experience.

Our starters were really amazing, the dumplings some of the best I’ve ever tried and the papadums with guac was so good. The rest of the food was a bit spicier then expected but still tasty. I didn’t like the chocolate cake which is unusual for being me. Our server did two mistakes but I think it was just one of those days for him and they fixed all the mistakes very fast! Place is super cozy!!!
