Classic place. Visited because I saw a post on my coworker’s IG. I was told to avoid midtown as they are crowded with tourists and street merch. Glad I went, the sashimi was fresh. Sweet to the core. The after taste was beautiful. Staff was welcoming and helpful. A bit sad to learn that their special dish, salmon taco is no longer in the menu... Price was reasonable considering its location. Will come back again.

We had the tempura rock shrimp and fried chicken appetizer. Both were excellent and we should have stopped there as that was enough food for the both of us. We also had a couple of mixed drinks (peach one pictured here) and we enjoyed a Sapporo as well. Shared the maki platter, I wouldn't order the Philly roll again, too much cream cheese and no cucumber, it was just overwhelming. We shared the tempura, don't skip this during your visit - delicious!

Can I have 100 stars? Holy moly! There are some amazingly unique treats on this menu, and of course I had to try! Green tea gnocchi? Probably easily one of the best gnocchi dishes Ive had! The capers scattered through the dish give a perfectly salty compliment to a savory dish that has the perfect dash of something almost sweet! I will be dreaming about this dish FOR-EVER! Stacy our server was an absolute delight! To top off the meal; dessert a tempura cheesecake, crunchy and just absolutely melts in your mouth! I will most certainly find myself here again when I visit...if not again before I leave!

Superb place for authentic sushi and nice cocktails! Chicken Karage, Shrimp Tempura, Sake toro, Hamachi toro, Hamachi, Tuna toro, yellowtail jalapeño with some sushi rice and mushrooms. All items were fresh, tasty and well presented.

Amazing and fast sushi. If I’m being honest, the best sushi I’ve ever had. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Interesting little spot that offers some good sushi. Great for a quick snack before a theatre show begins! The staff are friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t suggest ordering wine by the glass here as it might have some slow turnover (ie. oxidize wine). The black miso cod was delicious and if you want to spoil yourself, I’d recommend this. Chocolate mousse cake was also ok…but lacked a “wow” factor….still ate all it though!

We just stopped in for a late dinner on Friday night, and I wasn't expecting too much but I was utterly charmed by the gentle, attentive service and the delicate Japanese cuisine - we opted for a dinner bento, which contained one of the best pork katsu versions I have had in years, plus a horizontal tasting of four delicious sakes. The acoustics were perfect for Date Night, since it wasn't blasting music, just a light buzz of conversation.

Great little spot to find near Times Squa before a show! As a new Yorker, I tend to avoid Times Square like the plague. But, for when people are visiting or I see a show, I love to find a little place tucked away that I can go to. This is the place! Sushi tastes pretty good, prices aren't bad either for that area. Only qualm is that service tends to be a little slow. Otherwise it's a pretty cool place!

We looked here on google and it fit proximity and style. Restaurant is small but cozy. Sake was amazing. Our server Alex was personable and fun and we went with his suggestions on the chefs choice and it was fantastic! We also had the tempura cheesecake and WOW! we will definitely come back when in the city!

Really good Japanese food and fantastic service. It was our pre Broadway show dinner. We were going to Wicked after which was perfectly located right across the street. Natsumi offered free dessert for every ticket to Wicked! (You have to spend at least $35 per ticket for each free dessert.) The tempura cheesecake was phenomenal!

Nice & friendly service with mediocre sushi. The Tuna Tartar Martini was delicious, Sushi and Sashimi were average, and the Ginger Citrus Duck Breast was tasty but really dry. Overall experience was just okay, don’t think I would come back again.

Always love some good sushi, and decided to try this place. The food to me is average, not exciting. Kind expensive and small portions, sashimi is fresh and decent quality. but it’s NY, so kind of expected. The tempura cheesecake was the highlight of the meal. The service is great 👍.

Nice quiet little place located close to theater district. Presentation of sushi lacked and seafood wasn't as fresh as I'm used to. Pork dumplings were amazing though.

Delicious! We visited from outside of Toronto and hadn’t had fresh maki like this in a long time. It met every expectation. Staff were very friendly and accommodating - providing an earlier table than our reservation. We can’t wait to come back when we are in NYC again!!

We placed our reservation a month ago. Tonight we were greeted warmly and were promptly seated. The restaurant was busy but not loud. Our server was attentive and answered our questions on the menu with clarity. We ordered sashimi and sushi, miso soup, and salad with ginger dressing, and each was flavorful and fresh. We would not hesitate to return.

The duck was absolutely amazing. I have never had sick before and the waiter recommend the orange duck breast. It was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I would highly recommend stopping in and trying this place for dinner before a Broadway show

Food was mediocre at best but high in prices. My partner got served his food a long time before I did so we had to sit there and wait for mine, by the time my food was served, his was already cold (it was served lukewarm anyways). Fried chicken, fried pork katsu, and chicken teriyaki were all pretty dry.

The sushi was delicious and the service was good. It is definitely a fancier place. We were late for our reservation but they were very accommodating
