From the table to floor and bathroom, everything was very neat and clean! 5- Staff: super nice and friendly, didn't have any issues! 6- Menu diversity: their menu looks amazing and has tons of delicious options!! 100% recommend for vegans and non-vegans! This was some of the best vegan food I've ever had in my life, by far. The restaurant was clean and quiet, the server was super friendly, the food came out fast (even though it was busy during lunch), and the food tasted outstanding. Finding vegan food at this level of skill and flavor is really rare and I'm so happy I got to try it. If you're ever in Manhattan, Peacefood is a must.

Stopped in on a weekday late afternoon at Peacefood after hearing about their banging vegan desserts & the hype is REAL! Very laid back & chill all vegan place in Union Square - they have sit down dining & a decent stocked vegan dessert case with soooo many goodies to pick from. We shared their famous mini vegan brownie bite & a slice of vanilla confetti cake. Both were DELCIOUSSSSS. The vegan confetti cake was super thick, moist & loaded with the best vegan buttercream! A very nice vanilla cake flavor. I loved that the slice was big enough for the two of us to share - with left overs! The desserts were amazing- wish we dined in for a meal but it wasn’t working with our day time wise but still made the visit for the treats- which did NOT disappoint!

Cute vegan spot near Union Square. I tried out their vegan crab cakes and my friend tried their teriyaki cutlet, both of which were delicious! Not to mention, the cook staff NAILED the presentation of each. For dessert, I personally liked the banana bread best, but wished that the banana had been mixed in a little bit more into the dough. Also had vegan cheesecake and a raspberry tart which were good, but not life changing.

When we first entered we were surprised that everything was kosher which is very nice. We were welcomed by very nice staff and got free water. We ordered the Nachos as a starter, the Nachos were very good, especially the guacamole. We ordere the plantain lasagna en the rigatoni. Both dishes were very mediocre and not special at all. We order strawberry shortcake and carrot cake which were both very delicious and good. The atmosphere wasn’t the best and I thought the constant acoustic covers of Taylor Swift weren’t very “vibey”. The people next to us seemed to enjoy everything very much though.

6.5 Pom Pom mushroom curry was really good, didn’t know mushroom could taste like that (standout). Shanghai dumplings solid. Lasagna ok but not my fav.

Get the Chickpea Fries, they're so tasty. Had dinner on a cold Winter night here with a friend. Keep in mind they don't have alcohol here but my friend really enjoyed his Chai Latte . I got the Gingerade which is lemonade with fresh ginger and really good. Apps were the great Chickpea Fries and a savory biscuit which I highly recommend getting. This one was Tomato Jalapeño Onion I think. It's a vegan biscuit so it's crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Get one .Mains were the Fava with Cutlet and greens which is tasty. The Grilled Oyster Mushroom is a little hard to eat but comes with delicious horseradish mash. I'd try the Rigatoni Parmesan next time. Get dessert because they have a whole bakery upfront. We got the Strawberry Cheesecake but I think the Raw Cashew Cheesecake is more delicate so Get that if you go here . Staff are really nice and the place is very chill and relaxing. I recommend this pretty vegan restaurant (and bakery. )

Great causal place. Brunch options are nice. That bread dough 😉..... You can tell they are baking everything well in house. The burger was good, Fries are crisp, the chicken tenders were very good. Over all tasty. The strawberry short cake was good but it seemed like more of a biscuit than cake. The cake part was a tad to dry but the filling was tasty. Really enjoy the vibes and customer service.

I didn’t get a picture but hands down, best strawberry cheesecake and raspberry tarts in NYC! Obviously the chickpea fries are also a MUST TRY. I could eat 2 platefuls of them and the sauce they bring out with em is amazinggg! I asked for extra sauce to use on my sandwich and they happily accommodated me. Super friendly and attentive staff and very chill atmosphere. The prices are incredibly fair and even competitive for the NYC vegan scene. 2 meals, appetizer and A LOT of desserts (about 5 different desserts, all of which were large portions) came out to ~$83! Really inexpensive and great quality. Classic NYC vegan spot. Can't go wrong here.

Unique take on vegan food. They have unique items in their menu. We tried the Lasagna, vegan burger and the macho nachos. All of them were good. The staff was very friendly as well. Would come again to try out the remaining items in the menu.

We literally fell upon this place, and if I'm ever down in that area again, IT WILL BE MY GO-TO PLACE !!! Food was so good, so fresh, and the prices were "normal", not expensive. I had the Japanese Pumpkin Sandwich, which came with a side of amazingly marinated hickama "fries" , perfect portions! - see pic #1 (I know prices will change, but this was only $13 on 02/26/23) and my friend got the Ultimate Burger (see pic #2, that's only one half). And you can't forget the Atmosphere .. quaint, adorable, clean, nice, etc. And the Staff!!!! So attentive (not at all annoying or bothersome), friendly, kind, sweet, etc. I want to go back just to try the pastries in the front case as you walk in! 💜

Absolutely amazing vegan spot close to Union Square. Went there for a late lunch on a Saturday. The miso dumplings soup and the burger were excellent. Loved the dessert, we tried the almond muffin and the mini chocolate brownies, both were very good. Love their warm and cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Would definitely recommend

Utterly delightful Vegan Restaurant with a plethora of dishes, wonderfully pleasant staff, and an overall LGBTQIA+ Friendly atmosphere. I will be visiting here again and again until I’ve sampled every dish on their menu. And even after then. 😊

Gives the vibe of a coffee shop with the smell of coffee. Open, bright, and spacious setting. The menu has great options and the workers are friendly. Bonus for the free Wi-Fi. This is a great place to catch up with work or friends.

I really enjoyed the Mango Lassi, ate mine with a spoon as it was thick like a pudding. The Japanese Pumpkin Sandwich was tasty, pairs well with the Chickpea Fries. I should have tried the sandwich with Tempeh. Next time. My friend really enjoys the Cheesecake.

I came here with my friend for an early dinner. I ordered the bancock tea to start which was good- not too strong. I had the chicken and waffles for my main and loved it. It was a huge waffle cut in half, topped with strawberries and syrup and dusted with powdered sugar. They were perfectly soft with a crunchy edge. The chicken was like 5 long, thick tenders dipped in crispy and perfectly spiced batter. Idk what the spices are but they're SO good. Waiters were all friendly and efficient. I sat indoors where they had plastic partitions set up between each table.

Compliments to the chef, everything was incredible. We got the following: -The Seitan Panini Delicious, highlight of the meal, the Seitan is so fried perfectly, so flavorful and perfect texture. Best mock-meat I've ever had. -Potato Pizza Delicious, flavorful, full of veggies and wholesome. -Spicy wontons (special of the day) Delicious, perfect starter, tasted super authentic. Soup of the day (veggie soup, similar to minestrone) Delicious soup, was so good and got us excited for the rest to come out! Perfect appetizer. Shout-out to the staff who were incredibly kind, and please, release the cutlet recipe, the world needs it.

SO YUMMY! The burger and fries was crazy, plantain lasagna also so so yummy. Definitely want to come back. Thought this was more cafe vibes but its a nice mix of cafe and restaurant. Service 10/10. Food is whole and healthy and delicious. Cant wait to come back.

Peacefood always hits. I'm not vegan but I keep coming back. Normally I'd go for the chick'n and waffles (I can't get enough), but I branched out today and went for the pumpkin cashew quiche. It was denser, drier, and softer than egg quiches so not necessarily what you'd expect, but it was nicely seasoned and good with a little sriracha. It'd probably be better if Peacefood offered some aioli or other sauce on the side for additional flavor since it's on the milder side. I've also enjoyed the cashew pumpkin sandwich, the pfc tenders, and highly recommend the chickpea fries.

Super cozy place! We just came for cakes and a tea and the service was very friendly too! We got two strawberry cheesecakes! They tasted good but were a little too sweet for us. Would come back though and maybe try something else :)

Nestled in the heart of Union Square, Peace Food offers a delightful culinary journey for both vegans and non-vegans alike. From their inviting ambiance to their inventive dishes, Peace Food is a haven for plant-based dining enthusiasts. The chili is bursting with flavor and loaded with a variety of vegetables, beans, and spices, it’s a comforting bowl of goodness that leaves you craving for more with every spoonful. The perfect balance of heat and savory notes makes this chili a standout choice on the menu. And the chickpea fries! A unique and satisfying twist on a classic favorite. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these fries boast a delightful crunch and a hint of earthy flavor from the chickpeas. Paired with a tangy dipping sauce, they make for an irresistible appetizer or side dish. Beyond the chili and chickpea fries, Peace Food offers a diverse selection of dishes, ranging from fresh salads to indulgent desserts. Their commitment to using high-quality ingredients shines through in every bite, making each dish a celebration of plant-based cuisine. The atmosphere at Peace Food is warm and inviting, with friendly staff members who are eager to assist and make your dining experience memorable. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or simply looking to explore new culinary horizons, Peace Food is a must-visit destination for anyone craving delicious, wholesome food in a welcoming setting.

You ever want a vegan spot that’s not like just a salad, but also isn’t a super greasy impossible burger? This place is the perfect in-between. Loved the juices, the Japanese pumpkin sandwich was divine and my lovely waiter Aton had the best recommendations. This place will have you leaving in the BEST mood.

I had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant. The food and dining experience were excellent for me and my guest. The waiter was extremely cordial and patient, regarding the taking and explanation of menu choices. The waiter did check on our table several times to see if things were okay, and if we needed anything.  The waiter is to be commended for his efforts that evening. His name is Andrew.  Once again, the entire dining experience was excellent. I plan to dine there again. OW

This is the best vegan food I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10. So yummy! Loved the orange apple cider, chickpea fries, wonton and dumplings, crab cakes, Pom Pom mushroom curry, and parmesans. Also the best vegan pastries ever. The peanut butter cheesecake was so good! The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The service was great. The food came out really fast. Would come back to try out the remaining items on the menu. Will have vegan burger, smoothies and strawberry cheesecake next time.

Really excellent spot with vegan menu. I tried the raw veggie sushi and their chik'n tenders with their vegan ranch sauce. We had a non vegan 11 year old with us that really liked the tenders. They ate their (Daiya) cheese pizza but seemed to prefer the tenders. Also had the mango smoothie, which was delicious. Would like to go back to try more items on the menu.

Thank you for a lovely dining experience, Peacefood. I so appreciated the sign asking diners not to wear fur. We chose a cozy table in the back (with a welcome oscillating space heater!). The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. We ordered the rooibos/rose/vanilla herbal tea, pumpkin quiche, and spaghetti squash with cauliflower mash and porcini gravy. I’m coming back for the latter dish! (Bonus points for the retro 60s harlequin artwork)

Wow this place was good. I recommend getting a reservation first because they seemed very busy. I had a “burger” and couldn’t tell that much of a difference that it was actually all plants. The burger was very tasty, it had pickles, peppers, cheese, micro greens, and focaccia bread as the bun. The only down side was that it was difficult to eat and messy. The fries that came with it were amazing! We also got a smoothie called raw passion. It was yummy! Sweet, but not too sweet, and tasted like berries and passion fruit. We also got stuffed pepper eggplant special dish. It was good. Very flavorful and the textures were nice. It came with brown rice. Fun place to try if you’ve never eaten at a vegan place.

Wonderful experience. Friendly staff, incredibly clean and calm environment, delicious food. The PFC tenders were light and fried perfectly to a nice crisp without being oily. Dipping sauces were excellent. Brought carrot cake home, which was a showstopper. Will absolutely return again soon!

This was my go-to spot before the pandemic. Great food, nice atmosphere, and great location (for the downtown spot). My favorite menu item is the roasted potatoes pizza, it is stellar. Might be my all-time favorite vegan pizza in NYC. Beverages/coffee drinks are usually also great. I hadn't been in a long time and was planning on dining in when I went recently and the service was horrible. Very slow service, despite it being off-hours and not that crowded. I was completely ignored. A lot of people were on staff they weren't actually serving tables, just standing around talking with each other. I finally left my table and ordered something to go (just a smoothie) and even that took a long time and the smoothie turned out really bad. When I called to get a refund (it was a $10 drink that wasn't properly blended so gross stuff kept coming out of the straw) I was given push back over the phone and am still waiting to see the refund. Suffice it to note, despite being a loyal customer for years (I used to be a regular pre-pandemic and returned once spots started opening up again), I do not plan on returning anytime soon. I still love the food so maybe I would order to-go, but I don't plan on dining in anytime soon.

My friend celebrated her Birthday here on Saturday, 6/3/23. From the moment she called to make a reservation for our party of 12, they were extremely accommodating and courteous. Our party was mixed with folks who only eat vegan and folks who are non-vegan. Everyone loved the food, it was honestly the best vegan food I've ever had. The appetizers were great and each dish had its' own unique taste. The BEST key lime pie I've ever had (must have)! On top of that, our waitress (girl with curly dark hair) was outstanding. She was so kind, understanding and provided exceptional service. I will definitely come back again, thank you for hosting us :)

It’s a great place for Vegan options. I especially like that they have Vegan desserts. Ginger Tumeric Latte is also wonderful. Chickpea fries is interesting. The Soups are always good! I would recommend this place for Vegan lovers.

Every time I come to NY this little paradise is a must stop…and I’m yet to find somewhere with such a good presentation of everything. Their menu will drive you crazy but rest assured just about everything in it will make you - roll your eyes and want more!

I've been to Peacefood in both locations several times over the years and the food is consistent! I love the chickpea fries! This time I got the half salad and soup combo with the other Caesar salad and the soup of the day was broccoli cheddar!! Soooo yummy AND VERY filling! Staff was very attentive and friendly! Even after paying my friend and I lingered and was still checked on for water refills and the heat (switched to outdoor for dessert). The dessert is always my favorite part of the visit 😁

Excellent affordable nyc spot to grab vegan food and get away from the bustling city. Also offers a variety of desert options that can fulfill your sweet tooth without feeling too guilty. Service was very nice and great environment to take someone on a date or grab a quick bite and relax.
