We came here on a Monday evening at 6pm and it was packed! We snagged a table outside because it was surprisingly not that cold for a December evening. Try to get a reservation in advance. We grabbed a small bite and some cocktails. The drinks were excellent! Highly recommend getting the Caffee Dante coffee! It’s a seasonal drink, but it should be on their permanent menu.

Amazing vibes, excellent food and great service. Every dish is worth trying. I'd wager it's nearly impossible to walk out feeling unsatisfied after a meal at Dante! They switched our drink since it wasn't to our taste, and they have the cutest Happy Birthday routine. Side note - the Grasshopper is delicious and the truffle pasta is lit. SHOUT-OUT TO ROAST POTATOES.

Rated bar #14 globally by Top 500 bars and I can see why. This bar had very delicious and refreshing cocktails. The place had a very cute set up both indoor and outdoor. I will say outdoor is not ideal for first dates, you are very close to the person next to you despite the divider between tables. The waiter knew his stuff and directed me to exactly what I was looking for in a drink! The spring menu is a must try, clever clover club was my fav.

Went here for brunch. They had live music which was great!! The food options were just okay. Am I the only who wants physical menus again? The service was friendly and attentive! The food was just okay. The mussels weren’t as fresh as I would expect. The location is great and the restaurant is nicely decorated. I would still recommend this place!

If I could, I’d give the food 10 stars. Everything was delicious! I ordered the avocado test and wanted to order 3 more even though the serving was quite large. But the toast was so delicious and the eggs were poached to perfection. My cappuccino was as tasty and caffeinating as it was beautiful. Service, on the other hand, was lacking. We had to ask for our coffee multiple times. I’m jealous of all of the other reviews with incredible looking cocktails - we never received a drink menu. They tried to take away plates we were still working on as if to hurry us up but then we had to ask for the bill multiple times. Service was inconsistent but that wouldn’t stop me from going here again!

Loved this place! The best spot if Negronis are your jam! Pick any one on the menu and it is a home run! They even have the Classic Negroni on Tap! My server Roberto was outstanding. I loved the Bianco Negroni, Classic Negroni and really loved the Unlikely Negroni! I truly cannot wait to return!

Incredible good place. Vibrant atmosphere and very kind staff. Food was excellent. We had the self made focaccia with mortadella and the spiced pumpkin latte cocktail. Really good stuff. Though a bit pricy with 21$ for the cocktail and 19$ for the focaccia.

Voted best bar in the world for multiple years, the negroni happy hour here can't be beat. Solid Italian food at their original location in Greenwich village with some of my favorite cocktails in the city.

Had a great time chatting with friends here. The staff was very attentive. Delicious cocktails and the pasta had great bite. Ordered the steak to share and it cooked well. The desserts were normal.

We had a delightful brunch experience at Dante NYC. Visiting on a Sunday, we were fortunate to secure a table outside. Our main motivation was to indulge in their brunch offerings, and we were not disappointed. The food surpassed our expectations, offering an authentic taste of Italy. The flavors were exquisite, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. It was a memorable dining experience that left us craving for more. Whether you're a brunch enthusiast or a lover of Italian cuisine, Dante NYC is a must-visit destination that will satisfy your cravings and leave you with a lingering appreciation for their delectable dishes.

I’m reviewing Dante as a bar not as a restaurant (otherwise I would give it at most 3 stars). Overall, I would recommend to have appetizers and drinks but definitely not to have your main courses of your dinner/launch. We went with my wife on a Saturday night without reservation and we were able to get 2 sits at the bar pretty quickly. Food is a bit mixed: Good for quick bites joining your drinks only. 1) We ordered two appetizers, the focaccia - which was one of the best I’ve tried (super soft on the inside and crispy on the outside) - and the cheese selection - which was super high quality (one of the best I had in NY). This left us with super high expectations for the main courses. 2) We had 2 main courses: "Tagliatelle al limone with pistachio pesto & stracciatella" which was okeyish but definitely not a highlight of the Italian selection of NY. The gnocchi was horrendous: dry, hard and without flavor…I had better from an ALDI. Drinks: There is a great selection of Negronis and cocktails. Loved the Negronis and my wife really enjoyed one of her drinks. Would definitely come back just for the Negronis. Service was good but a bit slow. They seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people. The atmosphere had a great vibe. Definitely a good place to have some drinks.

Really good food! Not a lot vegetarian options. Highly decorated the pistachio pasta and green beans. The chicken parm did not come with pasta.

Such a good atmosphere and amazing drinks! The presentation of each drink was very pretty. Even though the drinks were pricey, it was well worth it. Definitely recommend for a night out.

I love their beverage program. Their cocktails are crazy good. Pasta was not the best one I've ever had but salads, appetizers and desserts all delicious. It is very cozy and warm atmosphere. I would love to go back.

Ate here early. 15 minutes was the shortest wait I've ever heard of for Dante. Perks of going early. We had the arancini, the steak tartare, the tagliatelle, and the chicken parmesan. Everything is perfectly executed. Can't wait to come back.

Instagram restaurant. I was disappointed given the hype this institution has and the generally higher standard of places in the village. Don't get me wrong it's a cool spot, popular with tourists and locals alike. However, the food really is not up to par (even for American standards). Flavours are lacking; seasoning, texture and balance just missing the mark; and the portion sizes... I wouldn't be surprised if my dish wasn't packet pasta, jar pesto with some fresh cheese stirred through it. It works well for pictures but you can't fake layered flavours in food. And the tartare... Well... I could go on but I won't. Just hold the hesitancy with this menu you would anywhere service cocktails or wine "on tap". You have been warned.

Walked in as a party of 2 on a Thursday night around 9pm and it was packed but we were lucky and got seated right away. They play the music really loud so we had to yell to hear ourselves over the music. The drinks here were superb as always. My friend’s Negroni was strong by well mixed and my drink was off the summer menu and really good. We also ordered the chicken parmigiana and side of broccolini to share and it was all amazing. The chicken parmigiana was really thinly pounded and not too heavily breaded. The broccolini was seasoned just enough and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were perfect compliments to our drinks. I’ll definitely be back but hopefully if I go a bit earlier the music won’t be so blaring.

Absolutely perfect afternoon cocktails outside at Dante! Attentive wait staff made sure our waters were re-filled and helped when we couldn’t choose from the lengthy menu. All around just the *most* lovely day! We arrived just as the kitchen was closing between lunch/dinner, but what we saw & smelled when leaving made us a sure bet for a return trip during meal service!

Dante NYC in the West Village exceeded my expectations in every way. To start, their espresso martini was absolutely great, perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The oven-fresh bread, accompanied by salted butter, was a delightful way to kick off the meal. The steak tartare was a standout dish, with its amazing presentation and incredible taste. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delight. Personally not a vegan but, I was pleased to find that Dante NYC offers great options, including a cauliflower dish that was both creative and satisfying. Not only were the vegan options impressive, but the chicken dish was also outstanding. The flavors were well-developed, and the dish was cooked to perfection. Dante NYC's dedication to quality ingredients and impeccable execution shines through in every dish. The inviting ambiance and attentive service added to the overall dining experience. Whether you're looking for fantastic cocktails, incredible vegan options, or a memorable chicken dish, Dante NYC in the West Village is the place to go. I highly recommend it for a remarkable dining experience.

What is there to say about this iconic restaurant? Well, cocktails were worth the visit, but food was subpar to be honest. Their cheeseboard felt like they got their cheese from Trader Joe’s (no offense, love tjs) but was incredibly overpriced. The lamb flatbread was good, and the shrimp salad was so so. I gave it 3 stars because service was truly horrible. I was there for lunch and the place was not busy and seemed to be well staffed, but our server was no where to be found while waiting on us.

We only got drinks here. They have a wide range to select from & seasonal & speciality options are recommend to browse through. Good drinks & chill place. Since it's NYC you need a reservation anywhere. We didn't have one but luckily they had a perfect size table for my group available!

Excellent cocktail (according to my friends since I couldn’t drink on that day). Surprisedly the kitchen made decent branzino filet with crispy skin and tender flesh.

I loved Dante so much, if I move to NYC I decided I need to be within walking distance of this place. They have the most epic negroni menu, and you can’t miss the frothy OJ and grapefruit juice at brunch. I walked in and was able to get a seat at the bar with no reservation, but felt lucky given how busy they are during brunch on the weekend. A reservation is probably best. Highly recommend the breakfast pizza.

Dante has been previously rated as one of the best bars in the world and I understand why. Although they also do serve food, we came just for drinks (doesn’t require reservation) and were quickly seated. The drinks were well made, sophisticated, and there is a large menu to choose from. The ambiance is wonderful in there and it is the kind of place where you could sit for a while enjoying great drinks with loved ones.

Great vibe, really buzzing place. Glad i had a reservation as it was jam packed. The food was surprisingly good but the cocktails still stole the show. Well worth the visit to 1 of the best bars in the world.

Super cute location located in a cute area. Have always heard rave reviews of this place as both inside and outside are adorable. Overall great service and wish we got to sit for dinner but had other plans. We both enjoyed espresso martinis by being a walk in sit down. Definitely recommend trying to do this for dinner another time. Overall great experience.

The pasta was delicious and the cocktail lived up to its name. It's really perfect to be able to drink well on top of the high alcohol content. And each cup is so beautiful. But the service attitude is really not very good, especially the waitress at the door.

For some reason, my last experience here was rather disappointing. I love the Dante west village location. The menu and cocktails are different. The drinks are still just as good here, but it doesn’t have AC inside and it was extremely hot. I tried their summer cocktails which I recommend (both buttercup and highball). The food was not as good as last I remembered. We ordered the shrimp salad, burrata, steak, pappardelle, chitarra vongole. I liked the cannoli but nothing else stood out. The pappardelle texture was almost slimey, steak chewy, chitarra tasted like pool water, and the burrata overall not as creamy as I would’ve hoped for. Would come back just for the drinks.

Today was a freezing and rainy day- the ONLY seating was under scaffolding and no heat. That didn’t stop me from enjoying some of THE BEST and most creative cocktails in NYC. The food is also great. But the cocktails are unspeakably delish.

Exactly what a relaxing New York City brunch should be. Wonderful background music, attentive staff, excellent cocktails and the perfect assortment of brunch dishes. It’s always a nice treat to be able to visit Dante before leaving Manhattan.

I read about Dante on a few blog post and always wanted to come here. This place is amazing. The drinks are bomb.com! Literally every drink i had was on point. Especially the drinks that I’m typically not into were just amazing. Will definitely come here again with my friends.

The cocktails are pricey but in my humble opinion you get what you pay for and these are out of this world! Served in a beautiful European cafe style setting with excellent service. It can get busy so be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends. Highly recommended for a great night out!

This bar is ranked as the 2nd best bar in the world and best bar in North America by theworlds50best.com. It is indeed good! The singer’s voice was soft and romantic. The vibe was relaxing. And the food is good! Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time.

Best bar in the world for a reason, but also best bar in NY. Drinks, food, service and atmosphere are all top tier and yet somehow this place has the cosiness of a friend's living room(albeit maybe a really chic rich friend). Constantly updated drinks menu always feels fresh and relevant, and is always on point! 10/10 would recommend. Pro tip: afternoons are less busy. Things get pretty packed out in the evenings.

Dante !! The best bar in the world in 2019 ?? Of course Dante deserves that recognition. Yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to be at Dante and I was impressed with the customer service because since I arrived at the door I was well received by the host. I asked the waiter to impress me with my order of drinks and food and let me tell you that I left satisfied and happy because everything was spectacular. Dante NYC ... Highly recommend.
