Best desserts of all time. Be sure to get the butter cake. It feeds 3 or 4 easily. The steak is good but not great. The burrata is fantastic and so is the chicken and the twin lobster tails. Get the twin lobsters rather than the single bigger one that costs more as the smaller ones are sweeter. The Lobster Bisque is beyond excellent. It is a must have. Great service and live music on most days. We prefer downstairs which is a bit more intimate. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 7 million views in 2021 and we thank you for that. I went there last year for my birthday and they were very accommodating even though some people were late, our table was still kept. The food was great, most of us told them we’d be back, the side orders come in large portions therefore it can be shared amongst a group. I got the lemon drop martini and it wasn’t too strong, it was perfect. The place looks very classy and I loved the bathroom mirror! Only issue is that you are not allowed to bring your own birthday cake.

We have eaten at this Mastro's location dozens of times over the years. The food is always excellent and this particular location is absolutely beautiful. You can really never go wrong at a Mastro's. This is one of the best Steakhouse chains in the country, with this establishment in New York City being one of the company's flagship locations. I much prefer this Mastro's to Del Frisco's Double Eagle steakhouse down the street.

What a steakhouse 🤩 they got it right! Everything was delicious but was surprised they didn’t do better on the fry/potato option (that’s def a restaurant depot grab). But everything was delicious and most of all they know how to cook a steak right! Perfectly seasoned and medium. They lived up to the name and their French onion soup was delicious! Best brussel sprouts we ever had too! If you want a proper steak dinner and a beautiful ambience then this is your stop. Eat and enjoy 😎 🥩

The scenery was everything, I love the dark theme. The table was a bit small, they have live music (which was perfect for Valentine😁) which was awesome. The food was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny. The lobster and garlic mash potatoes was very delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attend to us in a timely manner. Great place for date night or birthday celebration.

We went here last night, 11/12, for dinner before a Broadway show. 25th wedding anniversary celebration. The place is beautiful and has fabulous food and drinks. Unfortunately, the level of service was lacking and less than expected when spending $400 on one meal. The server's did not ask about a special occasion. However, the server's support guy was top-notch...wished he was our server instead. The young female server was just okay. She was unfriendly, impersonal, unattentive, and in a hurry to do something else, it seemed. The food was phenomenal, which helped make up for the unfriendly service.

Fine reset aura to is New York!very professional service! You can choose what you like in sea food plate, the filet in bone is highly recommended, very tender and juicy! Shrimp cocktail is good starter, big shrimps are very impressed, and taste sweet and fresh! Deserts are nice, we tried chocolate butter cake and cheese cake, everyone likes chocolate butter cake more! The desert is very big, good for sharing! We did have a wonderful dinner here, and will come back next visiting in New York City!

Went to celebrate my friends birthday, group of five. Food was amazing. Service.. not so great for the high price we paid. Waiter was not attentive at all. Waited an hour for the check. Also, I understand the lighting is set to provide that relaxed ambience, but it was too dark. Struggled to read the menu because it was dark. Pictures were taken with flash. Four stars for the amazing food, drinks, live singer and cleanliness.

The place is divided into an upstairs and downstairs, is very dimly lit so if you're blind you might have some issues since the ambiance is very dark. We had a table upstairs which was nice since they had an amazing live singer playing throughout our dinner. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food. We had the bacon, scallops, the NY strip 16 Oz, salmon, mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak was juicy and cooked perfectly medium rare, the food was a bit saltier than I prefer but still very good. Considering the price point I wouldn't become a regular but I would definitely come again on a special occasion.

This restaurant is everything you could ask for in terms of having an enjoyable lunch of dinner. The place is absolutely beautiful with nice decor and perfectly assembled tables. Very clean as well. There’s days where they have live music. The place is clean, elegant and perfect for any special occasion. The staff is very friendly and professional, always willing to help you with any question about the menu. Now the food: The quality of the food here is AMAZING. the steaks are always cooked to the term you request and the sides are great to share. My personal favorite the Lobster Mashed Potatoes (Absolutely Divine). Have you ever heard the phrase: “You get what you pay for” Well that’s my answer for the questions about the price range.

Let speak about customer service from the door! It was prefect to the person that walked me to my seat prefect. Oh boy my waiter Crack his jokes made you felt comfortable. Even explained the Serving sizes. Drinks was not strong at all more ice than the liquor. That could of been better. The food was everything to asked for. We order stakes chicken lamb. Am a lover of my food been hot 🔥. Everything was hot

Beautiful restaurant featuring live music on a Saturday night. Service was good, I would have liked for the waiters do a better job at checking on the table and bringing out requested items, such as cream spinach that was ordered and an additional drink. We had to wait a few minutes after dishes were delivered and we had begun eating for the server to come back and be reminded. Other than that, the food was delicious, and the drinks were good too. Everyone liked their meal. My 8 ounce fillet was cooked to perfection. I will definitely return and recommend.

I was looking for a steakhouse near where I was staying and Mastro’s came up. I did not know anything about it; I was just craving for a nice piece of meat. We were welcomed however we did not have reservations. They have a dress code, semi formal, no t-shirts and caps. We were seated close to the band which played nice music, not to loud or in any way disturbing our table conversation. We’re all carnivores, so this is the place. I believe the meat is aged, it’s done to perfection and it almost melts in your mouth, its super soft. I had the porterhouse 24oz and it was amazing, worth every penny, we also ordered the filet 8 oz and the New York Strip 16 oz and they were excellent. All side orders are a la carte and pricey, but you can share. That’s what we did, and they serve plenty (sautéed asparagus, wild mushroom and truffle gnocchi, and lobster mashed potatoes. They offer you a scoop of seasoned butter to go with your steak, it is also pricey but it’s a must. Overall it was a great experience, my only dislike is that the place is so fancy but so poorly lit with bluish purple light; I like to see what I am eating, it’s not a discotheque. The pictures came out clear because we used a filter.

Our dining experience was extraordinary! Warmly welcomed when we walked through the door, seated immediately even though we were 45 minutes early for our reservation!! The food, presentation and service was exceptional from start to finish. Mastro’s steakhouse is absolutely beautiful inside - warm and inviting. I can honestly say it is the best restaurant I have ever been to, and look forward to many many more visits.!!! So many restaurants these days are so secure in their ratings that they no longer give quality service or food. They seem to take for granted that people will just keep coming back because of their ratings or reputation. Mastro’s is the best of everything ! This was the most refreshing and beautifully orchestrated dinner I have had in many many years. Definitely, you should try it, you will not be disappointed! BRAVO!!!

This place is AMAZING!!!!!! I had booked dinner reservations to celebrate my bday on 1/28/22. My waiter Jason was outstanding and very knowledgeable of the dinner menu. He gave wonderful recommendations on what to try out (and I must say he did not disappoint with the recommendations). He checked on my husband I to reinsure us if we needed anything he’ll be there for us. What we loved was the manager also introduced himself to us as well. When the food was served all my husband and I could do was dance with excitement of how good the flavors came together (good job chief). Mastro’s even had their own singer who was taking requests and sang our wedding song “At Last” by Etta James. At the end of our dinner they brought out this delicious cake with homemade ice cream with chocolate engraved “Happy Birthday” on the plate with added strawberries around. Yet again even the dessert was yummy to my tummy! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family, friends and coworkers. Excellent service from Jason with excellent food.

I am in love with this place. This is one the best fine dining experiences. When I arrived for my 6pm reservation it was low lit with fantastic music. It’s so fancy and luxurious. The staff was attentive from seating me to packing up my take home plate. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious. Every time a dish came out they served it to me from the platter. Here you don’t have to lift a finger except while holding your glass to take a sip! While in the Rockefeller Center Area in NYC, GO HERE!

Mastro’s Steakhouse on 6th Ave New York provided me an unforgettable dining experience. I received very attentive service, they delivered a memorable fine dining experience that will definitely makes me want to visit again! Did the mention the bread basket, the assortments of the bread was definitely a bread lover heaven. The drinks was definitely on point…. The atmosphere was beautiful and the live singer while playing the piano offer a wide variety of 80’s music! Now let’s get into the butter cake…. It was everything and more!! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for its food, hospitality, and atmosphere.

The waiter was great! One of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. We sat downstairs, which was not nice. NYC has a lot of great steakhouses, some even slightly better, but I just love this place!

My boyfriend and I came back to mastros last night. It was my 3rd time and his first and he said this was the best steakhouse he’s ever been to. The service was phenomenal, our waiter ( I can’t remember his name ) was amazing. The food came out perfect time, we were able so sit and talk but not feel rushed or waited too long. Steak came out perfect, and sides had enough to take home for left overs. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants and I’m glad to now share it with my boyfriend. Will be back soon.

The food is above average but given the high rating and the hype I've heard from other people, I was disappointed in this place. Had the Caesar salad, bacon steak, the bone in ribeye, and the lobster mashed potatoes. All were quite good but nothing amazing. The most disappointing aspect is the decor. The place is huge so it almost feels like a cafeteria; the decor is very 90s corporate steakhouse, and the lighting is so dark you can barely see your food. I would not return.

It was a steak. It was a good steak. But it wasn't an amazing steak. Same with the sides. For $200/person, I'm sorry, but I want to be blown away. Service was impeccable, so there's that! UPDATE: To the restaurant, I just completed a feedback form per your request. Thanks for your response.

Our waiter Ronnie was so attentive and charismatic! We went for a birthday dinner and it was a nice ambiance for your city steakhouse. There was live music that was a tad loud for our liking and the food took a little long but the Caesar salad that I didn’t get a picture of was delicious. The sides were all pretty big to share between 4-5 people. By the end of the dinner I couldn’t eat more till I saw how delicious and decadent the birthday cake was.

Had my first dinner experience last night and it was great! Staff was friendly, effcient and attentive. The restaurant was nice and beautifully designed. My only issue was with the bone marrow dish they had on the menu. The bread that was part of the dish was salted beyond the edible stage for anyone to eat. The bone marrow looked big but lacked any marrow to enjoy. And to charge $$$$ I expect to get something I can eat.

Food was amazing, service was pretty good too. The restaurant was so cold though. Every time the doors open you feel the cold frigid air. It really makes it hard to enjoy your meal. I found myself ordering drinks to try to keep warm. 4 alcoholic drinks to keep warm doesn't come cheap. Money is never a concern but when you add $100 to your already $400+ bill it does get a little fustrating.

Great service and ambience and amazing steak! I had the bone in rib-eye steak and it was cooked to perfect temperature all throughout. The plate was nice and hot which kept the steak hot all throughout dinner. Very juicy and flavorful. I also started with the French onion soup which was excellent. Big bowl so it was great to share.

I tried Mastro’s in Chicago and now this one! Both are great! I highly recommend to order the filet and the filled potato. One potato is good enough for two people. Seabass is also good, but I think this restaurant is definitely for meat. The carpaccio didn’t convince me. Red wine will be the best option. I suggest to the restaurant to increase the wine list, specially Malbec. Reservation is a must and arrive with time because the area is always busy. Huge restaurants and well decorated, classy and old school. The service is wonderful. I’d repeat it!

We decided to try Mastro's in NYC due to our success with them in the Los Angeles area. They didn't disappoint again. Food was excellent and the service was awesome. Our server, George, took care of us and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The atmosphere was lively and it was a good crowed present. The food was great from the bread (small charge) to the appetizer to the main entrée and then to the highly anticipated butter cake dessert! I recommend Mastro's to all who enjoy fine dinning. I also recommend to try Mastro's at other locations in the US, rather it be a their Steakhouse or Ocean Club, they will be delectable and pleasurable!

Very pricey but worth it. Food was perfectly seasoned. I am a huge proponent of adding extra salt to all meal but in this case all of the dishes I experienced were salted perfectly. The raw oysters came seasoned with cracked pepper.

This place gets very busy so service can be slow. The steak was amazing. For the amount of liquor in the place, their Jack and Coke needs work.

Came here on my 1YR anniversary. The only pictures I got so sorry in advance lol. The ambiance was very elegant yet friendly. Dim lighting to set the mood. My first time here and was blown away by the service. We got the NY strip, ribeye, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. This was enough food to feed 4! The serving size was not minimal which I loved because I came HUNGRY! The servers even served our sides right onto our plates and even packaged away the extras for us. The cheesecake was delicious. I would definitely come here for special dinners (bday/ anniversary) but you can also come here for a night out and enjoy drinks which was equally amazing. Mastro’s will be seeing me again.

Good steakhouse. The service was wonderful and the food was good. The porter house was a bit too seared that it was crisp. The lobster mashed potatoes was delicious. I ordered the creme brulee and the top was sugar on top was not caramelized. For those wearing heels be careful walking, the floors are so slippery!!

One of the best Steakhouses that I have ever been to. Loved that they had a live piano player while we enjoyed our delicious dinner. The tomahawk and the lamb were amazing. Highly recommend.

I went for the first time for my bestfriend’s birthday and babyyyyyy I can’t wait to go back! This is definitely a place I don’t mind spending all of my money at. The drinks were so good we had too many rounds to count and the quality of the food is “chef’s kiss”, my leftovers were still bussin’ the next day. 12/10 if you ask me.

If you are looking for something exceptional, try Mastro’s. We have been celebrating Thanksgiving and other special occasions here for years. Spoil yourself and your family with a seafood tower. The presentation will blow you away! The food quality is superior. The service was over the top. Our server Terrell was ACES!! Love this guy!! Can't wait to go back!! God Bless Blue & Gold!! God Bless America!! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!!

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and as always we have a great time at Mastros. Our server was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food was delicious and cooked to our liking. My husband ordered the ribeye, crab cakes, & mashed potatoes then I ordered the cold water salmon grilled with lobster mac n cheese. I can't believe I forgot to order veggies on the side. Next time god willing i will remember. Our Anniversary dessert was also good!

  • 5/5 Julie C. 2 years ago on Google
The 12 oz filet special was seared and seasoned to perfection and was so tender and juicy that it barely needed a steak knife. Cooking halibut that thick correctly takes skill, and ours was delicious. The service was attentive, friendly, and informative. We highly recommend Mastro's and will definitely return there.

Delicious food, fantastic service. They serve seafood and drinks on dry ice so it looks cool and smokes when it’s coming out. Their scallops are impeccable, as are their lobster and crab dishes. They also offer a “seafood” tower which was impressive as well. I wish the crab cakes were a bit more substantial, but good nonetheless. Their Irish coffee was good too, as was their lemon drop cocktail. I would recommend if you are in the area and looking for a fancy place to unwind and try some of their unique spins on classic seafood dishes.

Wow wow wow!!! I took my man there for his birthday on June 22 and it was a fabulous night. For a week night it was packed but not overly packed. The restaurant was beautiful, the live music was a touch of elegance. The wait staff were very professional and courteous. Let’s talk about the food. We had Pettit fillet steak and it was juicy. The shrimp were large and nicely grilled. The creamy spinach and lobster mash was just delicious. Food was dam good and I will be returning. That drink Dream Berry was very delicious. We were able to get a last minute reservation that night. It was well worth it. Yes it pricey but your paying for service, food and all the niceties that come with that! 😊

Absolutely amazing if you're in New York City it's a must that you visit this establishment you will not be disappointed it's one of the best meals I had ever it was my first time eating scallops they were amazing like Silk in your mouth thank you for the experience.

Went to this place to celebrate my brothers birthday on a Sunday night and our reservation nicely accommodated all 8 of us. This place is beautifully decorated and the ambience is great. The steaks are delicious and so are the side dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful all throughout the night. I’m not even a cheesecake person like that but their cheesecake is pretty good. Drinks and wine are great too, the lemon drop was amazing. Only thing I’d say is that when ordering side dishes for yourself, let them know if you’re sharing them with everyone else or not because otherwise they will just offer and serve your sides to everybody in your table. Oh and the bread service is not complimentary. This place is not crazy expensive but it is a little on the pricey side but it’s worth every penny. Will be back in the future.
