I really had to think hard about this review because it wasn't easy. I want to start with the good part - the steak (bone in ribeye) was great. But to be honest that's it. I do understand that going out into a Steakhouse comes with some kind of premium. But if your prices are high i also want the quality to go with it. There are no side dishes under 10 dollars. The broccoli costs 19 dollars - and to be really honest I have no idea why? It's broccoli and garlic. No finesse no new take on it. Just broccoli and garlic. The fries are fine but the come with a 16 dollars price tag. I probably wouldn't have brought this up when my check hadn't an automatic 18% tip included. (Btw nobody asked and it was nowhere mentioned before) Which is not ok and they know it. Price your items correctly so that u can pay your staff what they deserve (which with the prices you have should not be a problem). So from my experience - yes the steak was good but everything else was just not up to any standard that comes with these price tags. I want to stress the important point-i am absolutely willing to pay for great quality. But royal 35 steakhouse just does not deliver on a 19 dollars broccoli dish or a 16 dollars French fries serving.

Flies under the radar, but every bit as excellent as the likes of Peter Luger’s or Keens. Outstanding. Steaks cooked to perfection and aged to the highest quality. Every app was on point. The sides were scrumptious. And the desserts a perfect cap to a dining experience. Excellence across the board. I had the porterhouse for 2, and they even managed to cook my share rate, and then give my friend a medium rare extra sear. Others in my party had the rib-eye and were equally as satisfied. Service was great. One member of my party accidentally bumped our server when drinks were being brought out, and despite the situation being our fault, the manager graciously comped us a drink, bottle of wine, and dessert. Really happy I discovered this gem

First, I'll say that the ribeye was perfect. Perfectly cooked in the inside with a nice crispy crust and the fat was perfectly rendered. The sea bass was excellent as well, no complaints there at all. The crab cakes were decent as well. The Mac and cheese and asparagus were pretty average. My biggest complaint was just the chip ice in the old fashioned.

Should have known I was in for a treat when I saw the air dryer as I walked in! Unbelievable quality! The porterhouse for 2 was 32oz and was more than enough. Didn't really touch the sides we ordered but they were nice. Creamy spinach and fries. Hands down the best meat dish I have EVER had!! Worthy of a honeymoon dinner.

Steak is ok but onion Fri quality is ehhhhhh very low quality compare to Keen. Restroom can be better. Very dirty.👎🏻 In my opinion, they could have explained more before making the final order and when they serve it. They can’t even explain wine and don’t know name of wine when I order wine. 🤷🏼‍♀️ FYI, the tip was automatically charged at 20%. Three ppl for $450. This is totally overpriced. I’m just gonna keep going to Keen! not here……… very disappointed.. ruined family dinner. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I didn't know what to expect but was praying our night would be amazing here. We were first timers celebrating my husband Royal's 46th birthday!! The ambiance was everything perfect and intimate. The food, everything was the bomb!! Our waiter was attentive and who I believe was the general manager was on point walking back and forth making sure guest were getting the best experience. The desert was an unexpectant complimentary treat and was delicious. Pricey but definitely worth it!!! You only live once and I believe you celebrate the ones you love!!!

We came here and we were defeated by meat! It was insane and we were so sad we couldn't finish the meat. We ordered a Porterhouse and 2 sides to share but it was so much food. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was great. BEST STEAK I've ever had!

We went here for dinner our last night in NYC.... To say it was outstanding would be an understatement! Unbelievable presentation on our appetizer and steak and lamp chops cooked to perfection. Sides were generous and not over the top. Too full for dessert but they had a great selection of the traditionals. Quiet Cozy atmosphere.... 2 thumbs up. 5 stars no doubt. Already talked about going back our next trip.

So I want to start out and say that the hostess was one of the best staff members there. She started the night off great with such a warm welcome. I loved the fact that she paid attention to the notes on open table about this being my family’s first time visiting New York. I was trying to take my family out to an amazing steakhouse for Christmas instead we were rushed through our entire service and didn’t even get to enjoy a happy joyful experience. The server was the complete and utter worst! There wasn’t many people on the building for him to be acting the way he acted. Let’s start with his opening to the table (What would you like to order. No greeting, he didn’t discuss any specials. Just kept rushing us to order (mind you once again it was our first time there would have loved for someone to give our table the attention the other server gave the 7/8 top that was sat next to us). The server just did not want to be there and it showed by the lack of service that he gave us. Every time we needed a drink or anything for our table we had yo ask another server or wait staff that were actually walking around the restaurant ( our server was nowhere in site our entire meal). We didn’t even know his name because he never took the time to even say it. The manager made a quick stop to our table, but he was in more of a hurry to go sit back at the front that he didn’t even take the time to listen to me try and tell him about the horrible experience me and my family were having. Multiple time did I want to just leave but my family were all bitting there tongues and. Wanted to be nice about it. Then to top the cake off was the server that was complete trash auto grafting my table 20% which he did because I told him his service was poor. I would put one star but the hostess saved them from just the one star! Steak was extremely charred and had a very riff exterior. Other than that the food was ok but not the best. I honestly wouldn’t return just because the service was really really lacking and there was no experience made in the facility. It definitely will be remembered as a bad experience.

We headed here for their 3 course lunch menu and it certainly didn't disappoint. The portion sizes were just enough for us, and the food was excellent. The staff were attentive and recommended an excellent bottle of red to go with our meal. I definitely recommend.

Everything was literally perfect. The steak was out of this world and the fish was by far the best fish I had. Our sever Ash was extremely kind and attentive. Although it was our first time there the staff made us feel like we were regulars. Highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back

Seated quickly, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. You could see the waiters checking each table as they passed to sure that everyone had what they need. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the server who bought it out also helped dish out the sides that we ordered. My table had filet mignon & New York strip. For sides we had asparagus and mushrooms. The asparagus was flavored with fresh garlic, and the mushrooms included onions… It was all delicious! Our waiter brought out some dessert wine as well, it was a nice sweet Muscato. I highly recommend this steakhouse and I would definitely return. They have outdoor seating options as well as indoor and a bar.

The experience was Absolutely amazing!!! The waiter's were excellent and very knowledgeable of the menus and what wines to pair with my meal. The chef visited our table to see how we enjoyed our course which included one of the best ribeye steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly throughout bursting with flavor. I highly recommend a visit!

This is one of the best steakhouses I've been to, the steak was delicious and our waiter was outstanding. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The potatoes and spinach sides were generous and tasty. A perfect restaurant for dinner.

I just wanna say. This place is fantastic! Amazing ambiance, staff, and food! Had dinner with my SO for her bday and it was hands down one of the best meals from a steak house we’ve had ( been to Keens, Peter Lugers(awful), Gage & Tollner, Christos, Ruths Chris, etc— you get the picture). We had a porterhouse for two which blew us away. It was juicy, medium rare how we enjoy it, tender/ melt in the mouth and just the right amount of salt. Easily a 9.5/10 for a porterhouse. We had the sautéed broccoli (10/10 - I’d eat that everyday if I could, but I also love broccoli so excuse my bias comment. It had garlic and a lovely butter flavor as well) and the mashed potatoes (decent but not my go to. Prob an 8/10 to me, but my SO loves potatoes so she’d say 10/10 since it didn’t get firm after it cooled a bit). Dessert was the tiramisu and that was the best I’ve ever had. It was perfect— Moist, full of flavor and the right amount of sweetness. Cocktails and moscato also hit the spot. I recommend the sherif old fashion hands down. All in all, this place is perfect and we will definitely be back. The hospitality and food were incredible! What else can you ask for!?

1- Food 4/5. Chilled seafood platter was average tasting and there was a time when Royal 35 served this dish with dry ice which made the presentation better. No more dry ice I guess 🤷🏻. Portorhouse steak was well marbleized and cooked the way we ordered it. Sides were average. 2 - Service 4/5. Nothing more nothing less. 3 - Ambiance 4/5. Nice restaurant. Classic steakhouse feel. 4 - Reservations 5/5. Fairly easy to get. 5 - Value 4/5. We will return and recommend. But there is definitely better steakhouses in Manhatten.

What an incredible dining experience. The service was top notch and the rib eye steaks were incredible. I'm not a fan of Mac and Cheese but the Mac and Cheese we ordered as a side to share was incredible. I've never had such an amazing Mac and cheese before. Now the steaks. Order a porterhouse for two or a rib eye steak. This is their specialty and the quality and flavor of their steaks speaks for itself. The dry aged technique gives the steaks a very unique fantastic flavor. This was our favorite restaurant that we went to during our three day visit to NYC. Next time I'm in the city, I will return for that delicious rib eye steak. If you are a meat lover and/or love steaks, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME!!! BRAVO!!! Where to begin? From the intimacy of every table and booth with classic Gotham-styled haute culinary decor, still contemporary, modern & fresh. Perfectly complimenting and accentuating jazzy-lounge music overhead to enhance your dining experience at a properly soft volume... The wait staff, charming, informative, and excellently attentive to serve and provide to keep you focused on your meal and company. And, while all this may elevate the dining experience, in the end, of course, it's all about the food... and now we catapult to light speed! PERFECTION. Plain and simply. • The Organic Seasonal Greens with Fresh Cherry Tomatoes - is enlivened with mouth-watering vinaigrette to get your juices flowing. • The French Onion Soup - is exceptional. Served properly piping hot. Effervescent, which only enhances every tastebud baptized in deliciousness, and, still, landing lightly before the entree arrives. • The Filet Mignon - melts in your mouth, full in flavour, prepared absolutely flawlessly! No garnish at all is needed - not a single grain of salt or dust of peppercorn - nothing, whatsoever ...and yet it's served with a housemade signature stake sauce alongside. It's a steakhouse, so, okay... while I favour dijon mustard typically - IF I even choose to apply any garnish on a steak of this caliber ...but, you know what? -The Royal 35 knows how to prepare a deliciously perfectly complimenting steak sauce, too. Wow! ...though I only gave one flavour sampling of it, it was divine. • The Pappardelle Pasta Bolognese - propelled me to my childhood, at my Florentine grandmother's table (rest her soul), in her then home in Nice, loaded with all the tenderness, love, and devotion the quality ingredients of herbs, tomatoes, and meats; the know-how to create such handmade pasta to an adoring grandchild who could never get enough of any of her provincial cooking. Exquisite. • The Cappuccino - is worth coming to this restaurant to enjoy an extraordinary coffee experience alone. The frothed milk is a dessert in itself. • The New York Cheesecake - is an absolute marvel! The hands down, most genuine example of any Cheesecake touting "New York" to it. Here is where Gotham authenticity continues to live on in tradition. (Without exaggeration: for all the hype around "Junior's" it's all been lost in the tourist-trap commercialization. They have NOTHING even remotely close to what is served at the Royal 35) • Raspberry & Lemon Sorbets (not pictured, sorry) - consistent with everything else, effervescent, light, subtle, not at all overdone in any way, also made in-house, like everything else. Typically a bigger fan of Raspberry, the Lemon stole my heart. • My well-used water glass never saw its bottom. • The dry-age meat spectator glass fridge in the back, to see what's coming and how well things are attended to, is a nice touch. • The decor and ambiance is a well curated, muted, sexy, and intimate classic style. I would hope anyone else's experience to be as wonderful as mine. Highly recommended! Enjoy.

This steakhouse is truly amazing and our group loved it. The wait staff was courteous. I ordered the crab cake for an app., was delicious also had the lamb chops which were tender and tasty. My party ordered a filet mignon and a porterhouse for two, they had a blast with it, was served sizzling! The sides were generous portions, sauteed mushrooms and spinach. The red wine our server recommend was flavorful. Truly, everything was just perfect. When you visit the City and looking for a good restaurant you ought try this place. We had a great meal and a wonderful experience.

This amazing experience started off with Adam greeting us with a warm heart and showing us the dry age cooler on the way to the table. Then we were welcomed in by our expert waiter Ash. Words can't express how on point he was with suggestions, check-ins, timing, and professionalism. Very easy to chat with. Ceasar capped off the night by assisting with boxing our leftovers, and then Ash surprises us with an anniversary gift of New York Cheesecake!

A great date night spot. Good food and friendly service. Can’t talk about atmosphere much as we were sat right next to the front door for our reservation so we didn’t see the restaurant. From what we could see, it was clean and quiet enough for conversation. Very busy so book a reservation.

Before coming to NYC, I took the time to read reviews on some restaurants and Royal 35 popped up. Perused the menu, hours of operation, and location. It didn’t take long to decide on this establishment. Upon arriving, we were a little late after reservations, but was able to be seated. We were pleasantly greeted at the door by the beautiful hostess who directed us to our table as well. The waiter was polite, patient, attentive, and very friendly. Once our food arrived-AMAZING! Presentation, temperature of food, the waiter and a few other men cleared the table to make room. They then proceeded to place our sides on our plates. We ordered Prime New York Strip, Bone-in Ribeye, creamed spinach, Mac-n-cheese, and onion rings. Everything was cooked to perfection! I felt like a Queen being served. The atmosphere was intimate, warm, and inviting. When it comes to customer service, Royal 35 definitely rolls out the red carpet! This establishment should definitely be on your radar! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you again Royal 35 for an amazing experience!

My partner and I ate here for a steak night out. The service was great to the seating was cozy and the wait staff were amazing. Now, the food was divine by al means and aspects. Old world charm, delicious aged beef from their own cellar, which is on display on your way through to the dining area. Try the spinach, or the onion soup; it's was a favourite of mine that I like to enjoy when eating from an old world establishment.

We ordered porterhouse for 2 people. What we got was the worst prepared porterhouse steak we ever had! Burned, too salty and peppery on the outside, probably cooked on an oil pan. Fries also tasted badly, probably deep fried in a reused cooking oil.

We were told that this a must if you are visiting NYC and are thrilled that we dined here. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the owners who warmly welcomed us as they escorted us to our table and passed by the various cuts of meat that are stored for one’s viewing. The ambience reminds one of old world Europe, very tastefully done with mahogany wainscot and perfect lighting for a truly timeless experience. The food is absolutely a work of art in both presentation and flavor. The t-bone was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths. The cold crab and seafood towers are a feast for the eyes, presented with dry ice. It is the freshest seafood, even better than anything we’ve had in Malibu. The prices are reasonable and you will have a five star experience!!! Thank you Adam and staff for such an extraordinary meal…

Should’ve known it’d be bad when they were pretty much empty on a Friday night and benches had duct tape holding them together. The only two good things were the bottled water and wedge. Our steak wasn’t cooked correctly but no one came back to ask if everything was ok, they took our steak knives with our salad plates. We waited for someone but ended up using butter knives. The steak was still bleeding when we asked for medium well. The mac and cheese was bland with the occasional hint of salt. Heinz 57 was “house” steak sauce served. Could never see if there were alternatives, because no one ever came to check on us, but kept watching out table from the door and when we’d raise our hands they’d walk away. Finally came to refill the waters and we had to ask for check. Had the audacity to charge gratuity. Poorly serviced, unprepared food, and music was too loud. 0 out of 5 stars but had to leave a star to be able to give review. Absolutely would not recommend. I’ve had steak and better service at food chain establishments.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic steak house, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I must commend the management team for fostering such a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. As an HR manager myself, I couldn't help but admire the evident effort put into building a team that not only excels in their roles but also genuinely cares for one another. It's a dream to see a group of individuals working together so harmoniously, as if they were lifelong friends rather than just colleagues. Overall, my experience at this steak house exceeded my expectations. The exceptional food, professional service, and the positive ambiance created by the staff all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking not only an incredible meal but also a warm and inviting atmosphere. Kudos to the management and the entire team for a job well done!

I must admit, I expected a lot more from this steak house. I was impressed with the dry aging cabinet, the dark ambience, and the very formal wait staff. I ordered the onion soup, the prime bone-in ribeye rare, and sauteed mushrooms. The mushroom soup was great, the highlight of the evening along with the bread they served. The steak was a disappointment. Rare to me is a cool red center, which I asked for deliberately. The steak was medium on the outside, rarer in the middle, but not cool. In addition, the steak seemed to have connective tissue issues as I found it hard to slice in several places. This is not what I expected from a dry aged steak. The waiter delivered sauteed spinach instead of mushrooms. I politely ask for the mushrooms instead. He returned with sauteed mushroom and onions. This is a rare treat for me. When I spend this kind of money, I expect greatness. I am not coming back.
