I waited to post my review due to needing to deal with the “owner” of this hotel. There’s was a mouse in our room and the hotel staff basically said oh well deal with it. I had to act a complete fool ( remember the police station is next door) before they would give us a different room. Then, the “very intelligent woman at the front desk” tried to give us the room directly next door like mice do not crawl and live in the walls. I had to act ugly again, called corporate and still nothing until I threatened to walk next door to the police station. We were finally given another room, but guess what… The cleaning people tried to walk in my room at 7am to “clean the room” I was beyond livid at this point. I tried to find the person that did it but I did not have luck and the intelligent woman at the front desk (same woman) would not give me answers or apologize for the staff coming in my room at a ridiculous hour of the day. Overall do not stay here. The owner is a piece of *** and he has the employees trained to do whatever he says. I almost feel sorry for them because the owner controls them terribly. BTW, I sent this “man” several emails and he did not respond, but had the front desk lady tell me they could not switch my room nor offer a refund… We caught pics of the mouse. Avoid room 514 at all costs. The mouse is bold and does not care that people are in the room. It’s weird the review will not allow me to posts pics of the mouse…

I stayed here for four nights with my parents and my sister. This hotel provided a very bad experience- so for your own sake, please don't stay here. We had a good first impression, the lobby was air-conditioned and was fairly decorated. However, once we got into our "premium" room, that first impression feeling was whisked away. The hardwood floors were filthy, and the walls had stains. As we looked closer, we discovered hair on the bed, and noticeable piles of dirt in the corners. The bathroom even had mold lining the floors! We attempted contacting the hotel staff about this issue, but they were highly unhelpful and dismissive. Then we tried switching rooms, but apparently, they were overbooked- and switching hotels would be a bad idea, as our room was non-refundable. Their option for us was to have someone clean our room while we watched. Soon enough, a man came into our room with a small rag, and nothing else. He wiped the debris off the bathroom floor and removed the badly stained stool from the room. It was also freezing in our room, and it was extremely evident when we were sleeping. The blankets were paper thin, and I slept under my sweatshirt to keep warm. Not to mention, the pillows were rocks. Later in our stay, my sister and I discovered that the hardwood planks were peeling up from the floor quite a lot. Always pleasant. These reviews are also rather sketchy. It seems strange it has so many stars. Some reviews seem to match my own, and some to be just raving about how incredible this place is. Weird... Please don't stay in this hotel for your own good. You'll find much better hotels for similar prices.

We booked this as it was sold as a high end boutique hotel but it was far from it. Greeted by the entire front of the hotel clad in scaffold. Entered 2hrs before check in and we're told the room wasn't ready but were then told if we paid an additional $35 then they could find us a room!! Got to our room later that day and the room was smaller than expected but it is NYC so this wasn't an issue. Bath had 2 black hairs in and the shower was held together with duct tape. TV had no signal on any station. Location was good for access to all the sights of NYC on foot and via the nearby metro station. Only downside to the location was the fact it was on the same street at an NYPD station so sirens at all hours!!

My husband & I were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay here. We came in on Halloween & checked out November 4th. The staff is super friendly. When we asked for something, it was delivered very quickly. Love that the room had a mini fridge because we could keep a cold bottle of water for our medications. And the walk in shower was very nice w/amazing water pressure! I’d give this hotel above 5 stars if I could. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the staff there that made our stay an awesome experience.

Don’t be fooled by the low price, listen to the low reviews. They are there for a reason. This hotel might be the cheapest name brand hotel in Manhattan but it is terrible. Our room was not clean. TV didn’t work. Air conditioner didn’t work. The lobby is filthy and the lobby bathroom had no toilet paper or soap. Nobody that works there seems to care either. Stay away!!

My stay is just ok, didn't use any service. Location is great, the price is decent but I could have pick up a place with better amenities. There's no coffee, just tea and you need to get your water for the tea. Elevator will will go up even though you press down and no one is up. the only good thing is it's near the police station so I feel more safe walking past midnight.

Stayed in the family room for 1 night. After booking we started to look at reviews and started to worry. We rarely put faith in what others wrote as a review, we decided to stay anyway. Here is what we experienced: The staff was really helpful in getting my party of 7 checked in. They proactively explained how the charges work and will appear on our bank statements. They anticipated questions that we might have had and made sure it was an easy stay. The room was clean and spacious and slept 7 easily. If you need a good affordable option while staying in downtown Manhattan, this is a great place that is a 10 minute walk or subway ride from anything you want to see. Good job guys!

This was one of the most disappointing hotel's we have stayed in, especially for a Wyndham. The lobby was congested with supply boxes when we arrived. Not the usual hotel appearance. Our limited staff interactions were accommodating and courteous. The decor was up to date, and everything seemed clean. Unfortunately, the rooms were small, with minimal storage space, and poor placement. We had a room with an adjoining room door that was not very effective at blocking noise (phone calls and music) nor marijuana smell late at night. Tried calling the front desk but got no answer. My bad I should have reported it in the next am and forgot to. Lastly, our last day gone for 10 hours and return to find no service at all to our room. Wet towels still hanging, bed unmade, etc. And, lastly my husband left an item behind and though they found it the person I need to speak with does not call back. Tried the front desk today and it went to a full mailbox message!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. One star is even too much for the so called service from this place. Management does not care for its guests. We were locked out of our room for over 14 hours in need of medication and money. We had been out all day. It was extremely humid. We had no clothes to change into. My husband required medication and they did not give a damn. They put us in another room and it was filthy. Three men tired to open the door and it was the blind leading the blind show. (Picture attached). When we asked to speak to the manager we were advised that he was “at home sleeping”. We called Wyndham head office and were unable to get any sort of help. In fact, this happened Monday night and it is now Friday and we still have not heard back from anyone. As we did not have any money on us we were also unable to eat dinner. Nothing was offered to us despite the fact that the hotel had room service and a bar in the lobby. At check out we were not offered any sort of compensation and the receptionist thought the whole situation was comical. Zero customer service skills and no responsibility taken by anyone. Total joke to them all. Do yourself a favour and spend your money where you are valued. Photo 1- three men trying to open door. Photo 2 - how the door ended up the following morning after the so called manager got in.

Stay away!! This hotel is nowhere near 4.5 stars! It’s maybe 2.5 stars. Here’s why: Location- it’s right next door to a NYPD sub-station. Cop presence is nice, but not something I’d want to have to walk by daily. Room: Too small! we had a double room that was an adjoining room. Our neighbors next door kept waking us up with screaming kids and yelling every night at 1am. The room was also filthy! There was hair everywhere!!! Towels also had hair on them. And the bathroom is tiny. Two people cannot be in there at one time, which is not ideal for families with small kids. I also found more hair & mold and mildew in the shower. I seriously doubt that housekeeping is cleaning anything. I walked past the same hair ball near the elevators for our entire stay. Hotel Amenities- what amenities?! They charge $18 for the breakfast ‘buffet. When I hear buffet, I think of unlimited options. Instead, there are only 4 items that are not good at all. There is no room service. You can go to the hotel restaurant and order something and take it to your room, but no no one answers the phone in the restaurant.

I loved it!!! I was hesitant to stay due to other bad reviews but I have to say our stay was wonderful. I cannot compliant about anything. The check-in was extremely smooth the employees were very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. Located in midtown which made it easy to mover around, and very safe as it has a police station on the side. I really enjoyed my stay.

Great location. The rooms were a decent size, but cleanliness was a little sub-par. Nothing major that would prevent me from considering it in the future if the price was right, but minor thing like dusty curtains, some small lint clumps on the sheets, etc. Front reception was quick and helpful for me, even making sure to send the engineering team to check on my room's A/C when I reported it was acting strange. (They fixed it while I was out, so everything was in working order again once I came back.) Biggest complaint would be the lack of a locked/monitored bag check area. If you wanted to leave your bag somewhere before you could check in or after you checked out, there was just an open room next to the front desk where you could drop things off.

1- The hotel is NOT on Times Square, as advertised. TS is 9 blocks away. 2- Room was very dirty. See photos attached. Grout is supposed to be dark grey. Some places it’s white (soap scum). Other places it’s moldy and cracked. 3- Shady business with breakfast. Advertised “continental and American breakfast”. My two kids at fruit loops and he tried to make us pay $40. He told me he needed a voucher. I didn’t know what that was. Asked the lady working to desk, she looked up our room number, said breakfast wasn’t included and we had to pay. Returned to man, told him she said we don’t have breakfast included. He said $20/person. I told him two of my kids ate one bowl of cereal each, and we thought it was included. He ended up charging $20 total. 4- Based on the cleanliness of the room, I Lysol wiped everything myself and didn’t allow the cleaners in our room to “clean”. We did get new towel each night. On the last night of our stay, he said they were out/he couldn’t do anything and to “report it management”. The towels we did end up getting had a hairball. 🫠 Overall, don’t recommend. We don’t be back. This is advertised as to be in association with the Wyndham brand - Actually shocked that it is based on our stay.

Perfect for location and budget. My family of 4 booked a single room for 3 nights with 2 queens but when we arrived they had to offer us 2 adjoining rooms, one with a king and one with a double. The 2 rooms ended up working out well for us, especially with the additional bathroom. The rooms were neat and tidy with a modern feel, but just a little rough around the edges, and one of the TVs didn’t work but at least the second room had one. The second room with the double was pretty small with a 3/4 bathroom, but the room with the king had a table two people could sit at, and full bath. The location was perfect, Penn station entrance at the end of the street, only a few stops away from most of what we had planned. The staff was courteous and attentive. Drinks at the bar were pretty expensive, and room service food is middle of the road, but good service. This was the cheapest hotel I could find in midtown but it didn’t feel like cheapest. If you’re just looking for a clean, safe place to stay in midtown this is the place without breaking the bank.

Unfortunately we planned a last minute holiday trip and had very limited options. I went with this place due to location. The reviews are confusing- some hotel sites rate it much higher which makes me feel they are paying for positive reviews. The location is near police so it feel safer than other areas. Also close to Times Square but far enough away for comfort. Near a lot of hot spots. We arrived at 4:30pm and they told us our room was not ready and it would be a few hours. They offered to hold our bags in a wide open area that anyone can access so we declined and waited at the bar/food area. They have a subpar food buffet for breakfast and nothing is complimentary- I mean nothing. They constantly try to give bottled water so they can charge you. They do not go out of their way to provide any sort of customer service. Our TV was broken- they didn’t care. We have small kids and TV would have saved the day at certain moments. I will say that a few of the staff members were kind but 85% were just rude. They have a lot of work to do…Pay the extra and stay elsewhere.

Title: A Disappointing Experience I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at this hotel, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The staff exhibited a lack of professionalism and courtesy, which greatly affected the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Their poor service was evident in every interaction, leaving me thoroughly disappointed. Moreover, the cleanliness standards at this hotel were shockingly low. One of the most concerning aspects was the state of the coffee maker in my room, which was filthy. It was not only unhygienic but also completely unacceptable for a hotel that charges guests for their stay. I had hoped for a pleasant stay, but my experience was marred by these issues. I urge the management to invest in proper staff training and maintain basic hygiene standards to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for future guests. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to others. It is horrible and they charged me extra money for no reason too.

We rented a family room and I'm happy with it. Two queen beds and a bunk bed with two full baths. Yes, the bathrooms are small but it's mid-town NYC. The room was clean, as quiet as a city hotel is going to be, and my husband approved the room service menu. Don't bother with the hotel breakfast; walk 2 blocks to Liberty Bagels instead.

Rats! Rooms are small and no storage for any clothes except 3 hangers. Was ok until a rat got into my bag and hand to clean it all out. Lucky for me it was the last day and I can sanitize the bag when I get home. Had a family room next to ours that had a party on a Wednesday night. The rooms do not block sound at all. Shower temp changes if the neighboring room does anything with the bathroom Good was liberty bagels is half a block away for breakfast.

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2023. They upgraded us (5 people) to a deluxe family room that included two full bathrooms, with walk in showers, 2 queen beds, 2 single bunk beds, and a sleeper sofa. There was a little kitchenette and built in dressers/shelves with plenty of space for 5 large suitcases. The room was very large. There were 4 elevators so very little waiting. Nice views from the upper floors. Close to the subway and within walking distance of a lot of sights.

Let me start with the room..so pretty!!! I absolutely loved it especially the bathroom because of the huge shower. The big windows provided great natural light. But the beautiful chandelier was a nice touch as well. To add to this the staff is super friendly and helpful. Upon arrival in the parking lot there was someone on their break and even though they weren't on the clock they still welcomed us, told us to not hesitate to ask for help and was super friendly. But the real MVP is Ms. Margarita at the front desk not only was she kind, friendly and welcoming she was able to help and suggest a great alternative when I realized I made a mistake with my booking. She was invested in helping and answering all questions we had and showed interest by asking about a stay. This place is truly a great establishment and I am happy with my decision to stay here. Definitely earned all 5 stars

If I could give this 0 stars I would. My family stayed here in October, and it has been a fight ever since. We traveled from out of state and had luggage with us. We showed up at 3pm to check in (their regular check in time) to our rooms, and they told us they weren’t available for check in - they called us two hours later to let us know the rooms were finally available. When we did check in, we realized our bags that they were holding for us were not in a secure location, and anyone could have taken off with them. They told us that the only compensation that could be provided is to extend our check out by two hours, but we had travel plans home that did not allow that. When we explained this, they told us that’s all they could do. When they brought us to our rooms, it was not what we had booked. There were 7 of us, and had booked 2 family rooms, with 2 queens and 2 bunk beds each. They ended up giving us a room with 1 king, and the other had two queens and a pull out couch. When we pointed out that this is not what we had booked, they did not want to hear it and repeatedly shut us down. That night at 11pm, we received a call asking when we would be coming to check in. My aunt explained that we had already checked in and been in our rooms. She got a second call at midnight repeating the same question. We asked them to call a cab for us the next day, as we had an elderly family member with us and they told us to go outside and flag one down. The lack of professionalism and hospitality from this place is absolutely ASTONISHING and I would not recommend it to anyone. We were never reimbursed for the difference in our rooms, and they are still ignoring our attempts at reconciliation.

Pretty good stay here, just some minor things about the room. Service was good, we didn't use any of the hotel additions like the gym, and other than checking in and out did not interact with staff at all. The lobby was nice.

We booked this hotel on short notice for a Christmas trip for our kids as our cruise got canceled due to Covid. We booked the family suite for our family of 6 with the anticipation of everyone having their own bed to sleep in. It was advertised as 2 queens, a bunk, and a pull out couch and very spacious. We had a late flight and didn’t arrive to check in til around 11:30pm. Upon arriving, we were informed that our room was no longer available due to construction. Funny how they didn’t know it was under construction when we booked it directly through their website. They downgraded us to two conjoining rooms which they stated was much bigger. There’s no way. Both rooms were like closets and dirty. Thry proceeded to tell me they don’t offer family suites with the amenities mentioned in the confirmation email that was sent. They stated my family room would’ve only had a king bed and a bunk bed. They offered a rollaway bed which was promptly brought up, however it barely fit in the room. We were told by the front desk clerk that no other rooms were available and if we wanted a refund for the difference in price or to make a complaint we would have to speak to management at 9am. Having prebooked our itinerary, it wasn’t possible to speak to management. Every time we came by the desk, we were told management wasn’t available. The hotel advertised a rooftop balcony that was closed for the duration of our stay. It also advertises being in the heart of Times Square when in reality it’s small, located directly across the street from a police precinct (sirens all night), beds that feel like you’re sleeping on a table, paper thin walls, and about 7 blocks from Times Square. The restaurant was never open and the elevators had a very weird layout. We didn’t receive housekeeping until day 3 even though it was advertised as daily. We were never given wash cloths even after asking for them and were forced to bathe with hand towels. After the first day of housekeeping, we noticed my sneakers and a pair of my sons jeans he received for Christmas with the tags still attached were missing. When I called to speak to management, a man of Middle Eastern descent answered the phone in a very unprofessional manner and refused to listen to my claims and began shouting at me that I would not accuse his staff of stealing as they make $36-$37 an hour and why would they steal when they make that much money. When I asked if he could check lost and found, he replied very rudely saying no one wants my things and it was my fault if left behind and it is now garbage. Since my problem with the room being downgraded was never resolved while we were there (front desk lady said she would send an email), I proceeded to ask him about this and he again began yelling saying no ma’am we are not discussing this. I asked why it couldn’t be discussed and his response was because this is not why you called. You called to accuse my staff of stealing. (I never accused them. I stated the items went missing after housekeeping had been in.) He finally agreed to listen, but still didn’t resolve my issue and stated he would “look into it and call me back” On check out day we asked them to hold our luggage until time for our flight. Our luggage didn’t get tagged or locked up. It was placed in a grungy storage room with furniture stacked on top of each other that was accessible by anyone entering the hotel. Needless to say, there is no way this is a 4star hotel. There is no customer service and no remorse for their mistakes. We later learned this a franchise and family owned. They only look out for their own best interest with no respect for their clients. Stay far away from this hotel.

Reading earlier reviews made me nervous, but our experience was great! We were welcomed pleasantly and efficiently. Everything worked fine. We had a drink at the bar one evening and the bartender was excellent. The maid noticed when we needed things replenished without our asking. Easy access to the city - subway, Times Square, shows, shopping.

If you are looking for customer service, look elsewhere. We checked in in the early hours and the hotel system was down. The front desk person could not tell us if the 2 rooms we reserved would be on the same floor or close by He need to walk us to the room and open with a key since the system is down, they can not make key cards. They copied the ID and credit card. No going over the amenities, hours, bar/food options, check out time etc. He could care less. Checked in the next morning and they cancelled the second room not knowing it and no e-mail stating that to address ASAP. The last day, someone who knocked on our room door with the do not disturb sign asked us how long we would be since check out was at 11am. She explained that after an hour it is a fee. Again speaking to the front desk person, he could care even less than the first person we first interacted with at check in. He knew only to charge after 12pm. He advise to call Wyndham. Wyndham is in the name of TRYP ad he couldn't do anything to assist us at all. Of all the things we did and experienced, this lack of customer service from every person sitting at that desk must have been taught. I'm sure there is a good reason that the plexiglass is there, they feel too comfortable being A holes. I do not recommend this hotel.

Pretty good hotel. Location is superb, it is a walking distance away from Times Square and numerous shops. There is a police station nearby so you’ll be kept pretty safe - despite maybe hearing the occasional sirens throughout the day. The room itself what everything one would need. No complaints. Breakfast was not the highlight of the stay - to put it simply. Nonetheless, will stay here again if I need to.

Had a great stay here - I lost/had stolen my credit card on a trip to New York City last week. In a panic, I booked this place on PayPal, but was unaware that there were surcharges in the form of a deposit. Crystal, the night attendant, allowed me to wave the fee, which was of great relief to me. The room itself was pleasant - it was quiet, had a large TV, a freshly made coffee machine, and wonderful amenities in the bathroom. The reduced price was also an upside: it cost approx. ~$130 to stay after an online discount, which I thought was quite reasonable for a hotel in a central location in NYC.

The staff is very nice, especially the gentleman that works the night shift. However, in our room, the coffee maker and the fridge didn't work. I notified the front desk, but the engineer didn't show up. Also the cleaning needs improvement. When I moved the curtain, I saw 2 cans of beverage half way consumed. That shows me that the Housekeeping staff probably don't clean every corner of the room. Furniture can use some upgrade. Other than that, the location is great, few steps from Penn station, and front desk folks are great too.

Liked · It has a decent facade. Safe because it is next door to the police station. Parking garage across the street is reasonable-ish. Walkable distance to penn station and my location for this work trip. Disliked · Found a bug in my bed. Told 3 different staff members; 1st one blew off my concerns despite me bringing her the bug from a cup in which I captured it (also, showed photos to all staff that I spoke to.) I had bites on my body when I woke up a few hours later in the middle of the night and showed to 2nd person at the front desk... he assured me that a supervisor would be there Monday morning to speak to. Morning shift desk person said she had no idea when the supervisor may arrive, though her behavior at the front desk led me to believe she had more authority than she led on. I had tight travel plans for this trip and frankly I could not afford to just leave. I just hoped I did not get sick from whatever bit me.. sad.

We were a party of 6 in 3 different rooms. Helen at the front desk was amazingly nice and extremely helpful with check-in. Breakfast was full of variety and quite good. And the staff were great. The rooms and bathroom were a decent size, cleaned every day and had a nice view. Parking was literally right across the street and the hotel is centrally located by Times Square. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.

Pros: Very close to Times Square and the Garment District. From the top floor you can just barely see the Empire State building. The cost was decent for two people. There's also a somewhat nice looking restaurant inside, though we didn't have time to try it. It's also very close to Penn Station for MTA/Amtrak trains, and surrounded by some great food options in and around the area. The rooms have good enough wifi to watch YouTube in bed, the TV worked fine, and there's plenty of outlets around the room. Cons: The rooms aren't very well sound proofed, and the window AC units are LOUD. If you're near the elevator, you'll hear it, but I was able to tune it out for the most part. Our biggest problem was the elevators having faulty wiring. Each time we went to the top floor for our room, we had to wait for the elevator to stop at every... Single... Floor...

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Awesome and huge room!! There was a ton of storage in the room which was nice so everything wasn't just sitting out. Not a far walk from Times Square and a ton of options for food and shopping!

The TRYP was a hotel that gave me mixed feelings. On one hand it was located in a decent area that is close enough to times square, but as we all know well nothing is truly close in New York so use the subway near the hotel. Also the hotel is on an odd street where there is construction and a police precinct next to it, but just on the street over you will find lovely small restaurants for your fill. The staff were okay, odd they would make you pay $15 for each hour before your check-in, but again they are alright. The walls are thin in the rooms but overall comfortable. The sheets weren't the cleanest and the heating wasn't working during the visit. But overall it was okay. It fulfilled the basic expectations and a little more for a weekend trip. Hope this review helps!

We have contacted the hotel 3 weeks in advance asking for a credit to use for a future trip due to Covid travel restrictions. We showed them our cancelled airline reservation. We have received no response from the hotel. We contacted them few times. Very disappointing. We did not ask for a refund just a future credit.

*If you are looking to be within a short walk of Times Square, don’t book here. Note that the name says Times Square SOUTH. Staff is friendly. Block away from the train station. A short ride to most tourist attractions. The rooms are a decent size. My only complaint is that the walls here are thin. The room next door had an alarm going off for probably an hour early in the morning and you could hear it. We by mistakenly booked a day earlier and didn’t realize we screwed up the agenda. The hotel wouldn’t give us a refund for the night we didn’t stay there. If you happen to order delivery and will require plates or napkins, make sure to ask the restaurant. The lobby didn’t have any paper plates or anything for us.

Worked out well for our family of six. Premium family room with two bathrooms was great. Not a luxury property for sure but would stay again in any case. Close to subway, Times Square, Hudson Yards. Staff was good. Overall a good experience for us.

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed. Staff was great. The front desk was super friendly. Rooms were clean as we checked them thoroughly. Bathrooms are relatively spacious and not cramped. Would stay here again

They might call themselves a four star hotel but their Google ratings are more accurate; they are less. I had to cancel my business trip the day before. When I reached out to Wyndham I was told there be a one night fee as I didn’t cancel by 3pm the day before. I spent almost 90 minutes on hold as they attempted to get some at the hotel to address my concern. They finally suggested I just email and/or call them. I emailed them and received a response the following day saying I would be charged for one night. I had a two night reservation and offered to book for a longer 3 night stay, as I would have to return to NYC. Nandita was not interested in the additional business. Even though I called to cancel the night before, she is technically in the right and got her money. However, read the other comments, hope you don’t have any issues, and buyer beware.

They gave us a room sharing doors with another room. It was not a happy experience to be woken up at midnight by the neighbors. It took them a night to fix the missing shower curtain. And there are stains on towels as well. The front desk is very nice though. And the room is of good size, given its location and price. Still recommend to those looking for around $150 per night.

Do not waste your time here. Our family room was really dirty & gross. For $1750 for 3 nights my family deserves better! There were long dark hairs all over the floor and lots of crumbs and debris. There was gum stuck to the bunk bed & toothpaste on the wall behind it. It took us 30 minutes to get someone to come up. It was supposedly the head housekeeper. Apparently she was the one who cleaned our room because she said she didn’t see the gum when she changed the sheets. She said they only give them one mop pad for the rooms. NO EXCUSE if that’s true. And all she did was move it around. So gross! Thankfully I brought Clorox wipes with me and cleaned the entire floor as well as other things, just so we could half way enjoy our room. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! We also left a night early because we just couldn’t sleep there again.

Spacious for our short visit with three children. Bunk beds in room. Affordable. Small bar that serves beer and wine in lobby. Next to NYC police department so you should be safe. Area not ideal. If you’re looking for quality or even someone to answer the phone - go somewhere else.

This hotel was good, but not great. The staff was friendly and we had no issues with them. However, we booked through the hotel website and it seems that when people book through 3rd party sites, that's when the problems ensue. Our room was nice-ish; I thought it was quite spacious for NYC -- we had a king bed with vaulted ceiling, then a partition separating us from the "living room" which had a couch and table next to a bunk bed for our kids. The biggest issue was that certain things just didn't work; we had a double vanity but only one handle worked on each sink, they had a small ironing board but it wouldn't stay propped up, the bathroom door handle required some jiggling to get it to work, and the room door didn't shut on it's own so ours was accidentally left open a few times. Location was really good in close walking distance to lots of shops, Madison Square Garden, and Times Square. Parking was $60/day for an SUV but close by (across the street). The bar/lobby was nice to hang out in after a long day of roaming around NYC.

Very nice and spacious room. Everything was very clean and the staff at checkin were very nice. There is a nice restaurant inside the hotel. The location was great and right next to the police station and just a few blocks from Times Square. Decent views from the room as well. The only complaints I have is that for a party of 7 they only gave us 4 towels, and the pull out couch had no pillows to sleep on and no wash cloths, when I asked for more the staff were rude about getting us more and said they only had 1 pillow left in the whole building. I would stay here again.

Rooms super tiny, very little place to put anything, food, looks good on pictures they have posted but you should eat elsewhere. Staff ok, some of them others just there for the check. We had only hand towels and towels in the room. So we asked for some wash clothes around 11PM when we returned from touring/walking around the city. We were told someone would bring them up. We waited until 12:30AM and washed with the hand towels. We asked again around 6AM and was told they were out and we would be able to get some at 9AM. We finally got 4 washcloths at 9:37AM. Really, what kind of customer service 🙄 😒 is that?! WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN! High price for poor service. Bar was pitiful! The bartender was nice and though we didn't drink he was friendly and sympathetic.

I normally do not post negative reviews however to call this hotel a four star hotel could not be farther from the truth. I was appalled by the lack of upkeep. Holes in the sheets and dirty bathroom. The fitness center consisted of a broken treadmill and a working one. An ice machine (very necessary inside a fitness room) a pull up bar which is impossible to use as the ceiling is very low. To top it all off the air conditioning didn’t work there. This hotel misrepresented itself and i had no way to fight the exorbitantly high price for the four rooms I rented. Unfortunately I must say that it would be better to stay elsewhere and even spend a few more dollars. Btw I was even upgraded to a “nicer” room. I give it two stars as I was able to workout on the old working treadmill and had a nights sleep near Times Square. However No two thumbs up from me here.

TRYP Hotel is such a delightful property. tucked in amidst the time square area and the Madison square area. Strategically located in the heart of New York, my personal favorite Macy's and Hudson Yards is s tone throw away. The staff at the hotel was very humble and attentive, always paying attention to the details. The room that I had booked was huge and had a magnificent touch to it, really like the interiors and the layout overall. My favorite thing had to be how I was always greeted with a smile in the Lobby at any given time, they really go the extra mile to make everyone staying here feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Manhattan, specially because of the service I got and the location of course is beautiful.

During my stay (10/3-10/4) in Room 503, I experienced a number of unpleasant factors. The room directly next to mine was a family room and was full of children who were loud, screaming and banging on the walls during the entire stay. On top of this, right outside of the window there was EXTREMELY loud construction starting at 6:00 AM or earlier which was not noted on your website or anywhere during the reservation process. If I had known I would have been awakened by loud jackhammering and construction noise at an early hour, I would not have chosen this property for my stay. As someone who has previously worked in the hospitality industry I am very aware that it is standard practice to give prior notice to your guests if there is going to be any sort of construction in or around your property during their stay and this was not the case. Even beyond the noise factor, the shower tiles in the bathroom were full of mold and mildew and the television had loose cords sticking out of it to the point where the cable function did not work. The floors having no rugs or carpeting made for even more noise from the rooms above and adjacent as you can hear every little step from other guests staying in the hotel. To say that my experience at the Tryp Wyndham New York was disappointing would be a wild understatement. It was abysmal. For over $230 a night MIDWEEK, this is absolutely unacceptable.

Very convenient location and the beds were excellent. Very comfortable clean king-size beds. We stayed 5 days in the cleaning crew was incredible and kept everything spotless. Convenient little bar downstairs and you can buy Starbucks however I recommend going to Starbucks down the street it will save you about five bucks per cappuccino

Overnight stay in ‘King Room’ in December 2023. While the property is centrally located, WE DO NOT recommend for multiple other reasons. 1. One staffer attempting to check-in/out long lines of guest. 2. Multiple banks of elevators and none properly functioning (i.e., every elevator automatically stopping at each of the ~15 floors regardless. This caused large groups to have to wait long times around a few elevators in order to get to/from their rooms. This was also a recipe for potential fire and other safety issues. Furthermore, no mention of this issue was given at check-in & no technician was seen during our stay). 3. Pet scent indicated bedding was not properly cleaned. 4. Heating didn’t work & cooling system didn’t turn off at thermostat-solution given was to turn-off system at panel box & wrap up. 5. Cramped space-don’t believe the actual & advertised room dimensions aligned. Cannot describe this hotel as ‘luxury , great view, romantic, quiet, kid-friendly, great-value, or high-tech’. Based on the above, we didn’t dare attempt the food…..
