We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Giraffe, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the pristine rooms to the warm and welcoming staff, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The rooms at Hotel Giraffe were not only super clean but also exceptionally comfortable. The attention to detail in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness did not go unnoticed, creating a reassuring and enjoyable environment throughout our stay. The cozy ambiance of the room provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. What truly set our stay apart was the outstanding service from the hotel staff. Every member of the team was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to make us feel genuinely welcome. Their hospitality added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. Undoubtedly, the positive atmosphere created by the staff, combined with the well-maintained accommodations, has left a lasting impression on us. It's not a matter of if, but when, we will be back to Hotel Giraffe

Highly recommended. Our room was clean and spacious, amenities more than up to par despite the hotel having to work around Covid restrictions. But it is the excellent staff that makes staying in this hotel such a pleasure. Professional yet relaxed, courteous and communicative, and always looking to smooth out any wrinkles their guests may encounter. A true Midtown oasis.

Everything about this hotel was perfect for us during our 5 day stay. It has a bit of a boutique vibe. The king suite was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The all day snacks and beverages in the lobby are a plus. (I would like a coffee or tea pot in the room, but not having one did force us to get moving which is likely better in the long run.) We highly recommend this hotel and plan to return in the future.

Hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was very helpful! Very centrally located only a couple minutes walk to major subway lines. The lobby has drinks and snacks all day which is very appreciated. I called room service for a blanket and was helped very quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were treated like royalty. Every single person we encountered was kind, helpful, and very friendly. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We especially enjoyed the 24-hour snacks, water, coffee, and continental breakfast. We stayed in a king room with a sitting area. The king bed was very comfortable and the sofa bed was not bad, for a sofa bed. We loved the location, and we will definitely return on our next trip to New York. I can't think of one negative thing to say about any part of our stay. Everything was absolutely wonderful!

We really enjoyed Hotel Giraffe. The level of service was very high but also quite understated. Loved the Juliet balcony. Definitely recommend.

Convenient location and old-school service (doormen / baggage attendants, daily room cleaning, etc...), immediate hot water, great water pressure, thermostats with no setting limitations, great toiletry samples, free bottles of water, snacks, breakfast, nice pillows and bedding, super friendly and professional employees. Great experience!

Recent stay at Hotel Giraffe was a pleasant experience. It was our first time here and had spent time comparing hotels with location, comfort, service, cleanliness, etc. The location of hotel to where we wanted to venture out was perfect. We paid for the valet parking, which was worth the extra fee as it was very convenient. ,Customer service was on point and easy to communicate with. The doorman was an especially nice touch! Beyond the beautiful clean decor, continental breakfast, appealing balcony, we were surprised at how comfortable the bed was - literally the most comfortable hotel bed to ever experience! Very, very happy with our stay! Will be back again when in the area for sure!

Great hotel. Extremely helpful staff. Left a wallet on the plane and the lovely staff helped find it and get it back. Always a warm welcome when we came back from sight seeing. Rooms are lovely. Having a balcony was very cool. 2nd time in New York, 1st time in the Giraffe hotel and I’ll be staying at the Giraffe next time. Hotel is very convenient to everything and the area is nice.

This place was just average. It was clean. There was a keurig (although nothing to go with it) and small fridge in the room even though they keep that a tremendous secret. But that was it. No microwave. We had a balcony suite. The balcony was really cool but overall the room was very small (don't believe the photos on the website, everything is super small) and from the 4th floor it sounded like you were sleeping IN the street with the noise going all night long. SO. MUCH. NOISE. This is of course to be expected in NYC but I have stayed at other NYC hotels where the noise was not an issue. The lobby was nice as a work area and they had water, soda, and coffee which was fine. The hotel is close to a bunch of stuff but really, it's certainly not a luxury hotel. Every Marriott I've ever stayed at including one in Manhattan had WAY more to offer than this place. I'm really not sure what makes this place "sophisticated" or "luxury" or what warrants a resort fee. Again, the only advantage to it is the location. The staff was fine. There was no room service at all on Mondays and for the other days it was only from 5 to 10 in the evening. The bed was uncomfortable and the television didn't work. There wasn't anything horribly wrong with it but it certainly doesn't warrant what they charge per night and I would not stay there again just because why would you when you could stay somewhere else that offers so much more for so much less?

We stayed in a balcony suite, which was very nice considering the price and location. Street noise was not a problem, the ac was COLD, and the room was v clean and well kept. I'm not familiar with this hotel pre-COVID so I can't really speak on the negative reviews from guests who stayed here both before and after. However, I would enjoyed the experience and would totally book here again.

The property is pretty threadbare. It may have been decent at one point, but it has gotten pretty run down. The staff was not very helpful. They made me feel, when I informed them of broken things in my room, that I was bothering them. I couldn’t sleep the first night because of construction outside - when I complained they should have warned their guests (or not put them in rooms next to the construction) they said they didn’t know about it. Which could be true, but they never apologized or offered to do anything about it. Overall, not worth the price of admission. Not a terrible hotel, but I would stay elsewhere.

My young adult daughter and I stayed here last year while visiting another daughter who lives just a few blocks away. The hotel is lovely - lobby, room, hallways, public spaces all clean, stylish and inviting. The check-in area is a little cramped, but staff was efficient and welcoming. The complementary coffee bar was not open throughout my stay because their equipment was on the blink. This was unfortunate but obviously not a deal breaker. The bathroom in our room was lovely and well-appointed, the room itself traditionally decorated, cozy, on theme with the "Library Collection" and very clean. It was spacious by NY standards with a real closet, luggage storage, and plenty of room to walk around the bed in both directions and included a comfy chair/ottoman and a desk for work. WiFi was excellent. We enjoyed our stay - which was in February so street noise spilling out from neighboring bars was not an issue, and the neighborhood is wonderful - so walkable, access to many restaurants and attractions. Will definitely stay again!

Honestly was really enjoying my stay here on one of my business trips with one of my employees. However, I was extremely disappointed and surprised when one of the staff accused my colleague of trying to “break into” the hotel even though he was a paying guest who had been staying there for multiple days. I don’t think one should stereotype but one should definitely not voice it out loud just because someone might not fit your description of a guest that should stay here… Unfortunately it was enough to take this spot from hero to zero

Not sure why this hotel can justify costing more than my mortgage for one night. Amenities like the rooftop bar are closed, and the other restaurant in the hotel is located in the basement. I didn't come to NY for a basement view. Hotel front desk, while doing their jobs and spitting out the script about checkout, coffee in the lobby, etc, were at the same time completely ungracious about it. I felt unwelcome. My boss booked her room first in our group, but the hotel cancelled her reservation, probably because they were able to book it again for more money. The room is adequate, not big but not small for NYC. The bed is comfortable enough, but there is lots of street noise. Beware, don't drop your PJs on the bathroom floor before stepping into the shower. The whole bathroom flooded with about 1/4 inch of water and didn't drain by the time I left 40 mins later. Good thing I was wearing sport sandals. I'd be angry if I ruined my shoes.

What a find! Quaint hotel with large rooms and great service. The Hotel Giraffe was the perfect hotel to use as “home base” for exploring the city. Loved our stay and will be back.

Went here for our honeymoon, such a romantic spot, we were sadly unable to get to the rooftop garden but they gladly accommodated for missing out on that, very clean and the location could not be better, can’t wait to see the views next time

I was very disappointed. Booked a suite here for my family of myself and 3 adult (early 20s) children, after calling and making clear that we were looking for a property with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a joining living room. On day of arrival I was told I had to spend an additional $500/ night, as my $700/ night suite was only 1 bedroom. Additionally, the restaurant was closed and the rooftop bar was closed. I spent $5k for 4 nights in a hotel with no restaurant or rooftop bar! If I had been told of the lack of amenities when I booked it, I would have elected to stay elsewhere.

I think this might have been an awesome experience before the pandemic. I hear they used to have lots of nice refreshments. My visit was just a normal hotel 3 or 3.5 star experience plus excellent front desk help. Thanks!

The hotel has a great location near Flatiron and NYU. In general, everything is very clean though occasionally there was a smell in the lobby of sour milk. Rooms were clean though not super modern looking. Beds were comfortable enough but pillows were a bit too firm or too soft. Hotel did have great amenities! Shampoo, conditioners etc but also downstairs offered snacks drinks (soda and coffee included) for free. A big plus. Lobby is very spacious and staff was super kind! Just for the amount we paid I feel like I expected way more something and the hotel was just average good.

I found our new favorite NYC hotel! We had an amazing experience and will stay here every time we visit from now on. Staff is wonderful! And we loved our beautiful, spacious, and quiet room. Insane location. Like literally perfect. We’ll be back, Hotel Giraffe!
