My wife and I vacation in NYC every year. We usually go to a budget hotel with highly efficient rooms, but this was the first year we took our son (1 year old), and a tiny hotel room wasn't going to cut it. After searching long and hard, we landed on this hotel because they basically offered 1 bedroom apartments with a separate bedroom, living room, and full kitchen. This was SO helpful with a baby. It was easy to prepare snacks for the day, give the baby space to run around, and give my wife and I our own separate space to spend time while the baby was sleeping. The location in midtown was great. We were able to walk to almost everywhere. There was good dining in the area, though for some reason, you had to walk like 10 blocks to find a food cart to scratch that late night itch. Oh well, can't blame the hotel for this. The hotel really is a solid 3 star hotel. You won't have all the amenities of a 4 or 5 star hotel, but you shouldn't expect to. What you do get is way more space than most hotels in NYC, where you're basically left alone, which is my preference. There are a few things I could point out that could have been better (e.g. I'm tall and there were clearly some places that were getting cleaned by shorter staff), but overall I was extremely satisfied. I'm sure I'll be vacationing in NYC again next year, and assuming I can get a decent price, I'm very likely to stay here again.

I understand this is a budget friendly but it's not about the atmosphere or quality I'm disappointed to. It's the basic up keeps and maintenance. Light stand didn't work (there was no plug next to it, it was just standing in the corner with plug laying on the floor), shades were dirty and torn/ripped, refrigerator shelf was repaired with some type of adhesive and apparently didn't work so it was broken hanging down, curtains were dirty, radiator metal covers were unscrewed and flapping out in an extremely dangerous way, phones were dusty which means never cleaned, window ac units were dirty and was not fitted correctly so huge open gap from the window frame, balcony had lounge chairs but were all dirty and moldy, walls had unfinished patches, holes, white plaster, not painted, and etc. This was my first time using Best Western but no more. It's the worst place I've been to.

Just spent 5 days here with our kids 19, 16 and 12. It was perfect for our family. Full sized kitchen. Spacious living area. 7A had a huge bedroom with a king bed, second bedroom had two single beds. Living room had fold out bed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurants and grocery store are close by. Area felt safe, overall enjoyed our stay. Felt like we were living in an NYC apartment for the week.

I stayed at Penthouse "A" last weekend with my friend's family. We checked in on Friday and were planning to leave Sunday. However, we ended up leaving on Saturday night because we really didn't want to stay there for another night due to the poor maintenance. 1. Mosquitos; yes, I really mean mosquitos. My wife had about 10-12 mosquito bites. I can't even remember the last time she got mosquito bites, but yes, if you don't like mosquito bites, then I would recommend staying away from this place. 2. Sticky bathroom door; the door has expanded and I had a hard time trying to open and close the door. Not sure if they check these at all when they clean the room. 3. Toilet flushing problem; I couldn't believe that they have a toilet that doesn't work due to the handle, chain, and the flapper problem. It won't flush all the time and I had to adjust the handle and chain to make the flapper to close inside. I did it myself only because I didn't want to call the maintenance guy at 5am when I had to use it. 4. Noisy wall air conditioner; the one in the room where my family slept was so noisy that I had to turn it off. Yes, it was very loud and noisy. It was the same kind that my brother had in his dormitory in his college year 16 yrs ago. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend staying away from this place. I think I could stay here if I came here for some kind of mission trip/voluntary trip, but I don't think this place is suitable for a family vacation trip.

We arrived in January and it had been snowing. Our first night, our apartment was freezing cold, with cold air blowing through the aircon vents. We had to sleep with our coats on. We called up the reception the next morning and they informed us the heating had stopped working the day before. Noone thought to inform us especially when we checked in. I made a complaint to the manager about lack of communication, the heating was fixed later that day. He then offered a bottle of wine which i dont drink and a refund on one nights stay. Its now 6 months later and we never received it, despite chasing it up. Would never stay at best Western hospitality plus. Certainly not welcoming

Terrific value. Location is great, quieter than in Times Square but an easy walk to all of midtown. We stayed in penthouse A- loved having two bedrooms and two bathrooms for our family of 5. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Breakfast was a bonus- best selection Iโ€™ve seen since the start of the pandemic. Rosa is a gem at breakfast. She helps everyone and keeps things moving and tidy. Amanda at the front desk was also very kind and helpful. This was a perfect stay for our Spring Break. We will look forward to returning. Thank you to the team!

Just returned from a 6 night stay. Solid hotel in a great location. Staff did excellent job problem solving with us on a few issues. Good breakfast with helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are large with a full kitchen. Nice spaces for our family of 5. Our first night we were in a street facing room on the 2nd floor, and be warned that it is a noisy street, which is typical. We requested a move to a higher floor which they were able to accommodate along with some ear plugs. Our new room has a couple of sad AC units. One really loud and the other not working at all. I asked for them to be looked at and when we returned from our day, we had two brand new units that had been installed. The hide a bed mattress in our first room was great but in the second room my son said it was like sleeping on a sheet of paper. The staff did try and help be bringing us a foam mattress top but he still had to move the mattress to the floor to escape the bar in the middle of his back from the metal bed frame. Yes it is an older building but you aren't going to a resort, you are looking for a solid place to sleep in a central location. This place is it. We will stay here again.

Friendly staff, can't do enough to help you, always smiling and helpful. The desk is manned 24/7 which is fab. Breakfast was good every morning 7-10am with a selection of cereals, yogurts, fresh pastries, waffles, pancakes, toast, eggs, sausage and mini potatoes, fresh fruit is available and the coffee/tea machine is available 24/7 and is free. I recommend the hot chocolate with hot milk โ˜บ๏ธ delicious. Apartment was much much bigger than we expected and clean and tidy and the beds are so comfy. Location is very close to shops and subways too. Hermes in particular on reception was so helpful and friendly, I wished I could pop him in my pocket and bring this amazingly kind gentleman home with me โ˜บ๏ธ very nice place.

I loved this property and would absolutely stay here again! It had an apartment feel with a kitchen, bedroom, living room with sofa bed, and dining room table. There was plenty of room for our party of 3 to have our own space to unwind and watch our own tv shows, nap, etc. The living room and bedroom each had its own window unit - LOVE!! I was able to get my room down to the arctic temps that my southern self is used to. Breakfast was great - there is dry cereal, oatmeal packets, make your own waffles & pancakes, an assortment of pastries/muffins/donuts, bread and bagels with a toaster, a mini fridge stocked with yogurts and hard boiled eggs, toppings for yogurt, spreads for the breads, fruit, and hot options (eggs, sausage, potatoes). There's a drink machine for juices/water and a machine that makes coffee/espresso/hot chocolate. The only negatives I have are that the property is older so expect it not to be new and modern, but it was clean so that trumps modern in my book. There is only one elevator, and it is slow. My daughter and I utilized the stairs even though we were on the 6th floor it was doable multiple times a day. Bathroom has no vent - I just opened the window to vent the steam when showering. Breakfast area is small and gets very crowded but there are trays if you would prefer to bring your food up to your room! A great value in the city! Subway was 2 blocks away and there are 3 restaurants on either side that are convenient to go to!

Stayed here for 5 nights during my daughter's Spring Break, and was very satisfied overall. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful, and the room was surprisingly nice with hardwood floors throughout, a separate kitchen, and a nicely updated bathroom. The included breakfast was perfectly acceptable. The only real cons were radiators on full blast that left the place like an oven (even when we turned them off, we had to open the windows to get the place acceptably cool), and the lack of plugs near the bed to charge a phone. The location, while off the beaten path and away from most popular attractions, is within 2-3 blocks of two subway stations that give you access to pretty much anywhere you want to go (6 train from Lex/51st and E train from Lex/53rd). Would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay here for our first time in NYC. The one bedroom penthouse suite was exactly what we were looking for and more. Probably the biggest private terrace in NYC and the full kitchen was great. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Free breakfast downstairs included eggs, potatoes, and freshly made pastries delivered every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great for a first visit with the subway just right around the corner and Times Square, Central Park, and Grand Central Station all within a 20 minute walk.

LOVED this place. We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was nice to have the space! Very clean. Comfortable. Doug, Ashley, and ROSIE! So amazing!! Kitchen (Rosie) was always well stocked and probably the best run kitchen I've ever seen at a hotel. Location was about a 20 minute walk from Times Square, which made it nice and quiet. Area has some nice restaurants and a few right there (Italian, Pizza, Kosher). Would highly recommend for anyone!!

Such a clean, friendly place to stay. Very convenient location - we walked everywhere! Not fancy, but that keeps the price down. Itโ€™s everything you need. Great for our group of 5 adults!

Our family of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) had a phenomenal stay here earlier this month! It is a smaller hotel, but that helped it to feel more personal and intimate. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful, but I have to give a special shoutout to Aalayah and Rosie for going above and beyond with their service. The hotel is conveniently located to Midtown attractions as well a subway station with major lines that can take you to other parts of the city. Our two-bedroom apartment was very spacious and clean. We were also impressed with the complimentary breakfast which was delicious and included hot items. Will definitely stay here again during our next trip to NYC!

AMAZING STAFF! they were all so awesome and made our stay just great! This was a great location for our family of four (two teens) to use as a home base. Rooms were like apartments, and it was great for all of us to have our own space.

The location is great, the front desk staff was great, the amenities were great. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with one king bed and one queen bed. Everything was great until the largest cockroach I've ever seen in my life decided to join us for our stay. The hotel manager says this is a water bug. Google the difference between a water bug and a cockroach. Unlike water bugs, cockroaches have long antennae and hairy legs, both of which you can see in this photograph.

Two bedroom space with a king and two twins was perfect for our needs. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfy! They held our luggage before check- in & after check- out. All of the staff (5 people) that we encountered were super friendly & helpful. I usually stay at the Hyatt Centric Times Square, not anymore, Iโ€™ll be back here for sure!

Perfect for families, lots of space in the room, very clean. Mariela at the front desk was excellent helping us understand how to get around the Subway. Great Location, close to everything.

This is a very basic apartment hotel. But it is clean well kept with free breakfast. The team looked after us very well including booking taxis to airport and a locked luggage room at checkout. Located just close enough to all the attractions and subway highly recommend and would returnA++

Nice place and very convenient to all the places we wanted to go. The hotel was one of the older ones but very well maintained. All staff members were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay again if we ever travel back to New York!

This is a great little property that is in the heart of a great area, within walking distance of Rockefeller Plaza, Broadway, Times Square, and other landmarks, plus close to a couple of subway stations. Very clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. We had 4 families staying here and the apartments were a great place to hang out together. Highly recommend!

Great place! First and most important was their service, very welcoming and attentive staff. Very worried about space and was surprised with how spacious and clean it was. For the price and location it was an amazing value. 100% recommended!

Rooms are spacious but old. Center of it all. Breakfast is decent (waffles, pancakes, egg dish, meat like sausage or Canadian bacon, cereal, oatmeal, toast and bagels). Rooms are like 2 bed 1 bath apts. Blocks from times square

My wife and I and our 18-month old boy stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Checkin process was very easy and fast. They even provided us cribs free and set it up. Booking.com was showing no crib is offered. Staff very polite and helpful. We stayed at 9th floor on a King one-bedroom and although we were next to elevator, room was quiet. Also no sound from street, overall room was very quiet and shades were great. Room was quite spacious and it felt like home. kitchen bathroom living/bedroom was very clean. Actually I think this hotel is better than its pictures. Breakfast was great, and you can take it to your room if you want to. Location is absolutely awesome, super close to subway, supermarket. Walking distance to Grand central, Rockfeller, 5th Ave shops, Central Park and Times Square.

Great staff, so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent for us as a family of 4 but the location was perfect for getting about. Huge suite, we could really spread out and relax, loved it thank you so much!

Location is great, just in mid town Manhattan. The rooms have plenty of space with a nice living room, a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, stove, pots, silverware, etc) and large beds. Breakfast was nice with lots of options to chose from. The rooms doors were a bit squicky and there was some paint pilling off, but other than that, perfect hotel for a family.

Such a good place to stay. I was there for one week on family holidays. Room was ยซย oldschoolย ยป but very clean and wide. Comfy bed, lot of space. Good breakfast and amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Will come again if I go back to NYC

Comfortable/spacious home away from home. Highly recommend it for anyone especially if you're traveling with children. Beds are so comfortable, location is close to plenty of restaurants/shopping we loved it and will definitely be back!

Great base to explore the city from. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are a little tired, could do with a refresh but huge and ideal for families. Noisy at times at night which is to be expected in New York. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all. Very small area for amount of people staying in the hotel. You're lucky to get a table at breakfast, but you are allowed to take it back to your room if need be, although expect to wait ages for the lift to get you there! We gave up the one morning and bought breakfast elsewhere as you couldn't get anywhere near the food area. Get down there early if you want a table and to be able to get near the food. Otherwise a great stay.
