For a hostel, this place is really nice. Rooms are tiny, but what else can you expect from nyc? Bunk beds that are squeaky, but other than that, it was great. Super decadent breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, muffins, donuts etc. I was pleasantly surprised!! Easy check in and out, GREAT location. Super easy to get to the bus and subway. Amazing location, safe and convenient to see the sights. Bathrooms and toilets are shared, but honestly they’re clean and not a big deal at all. For the price, I feel like it was totally worth it and I’d absolutely come back. Feels VERY safe (2 women) and there are locks on every door. Lots of great amenities and we could leave our bags in a closet before our flight. Loved our stay!

I was surprised positively. The hostel is clean, the bedroom has all you need with a clean layout. The breakfast is better than a lot of more expensive hotels. There are a good variety of fruits. The staff is nice and the vibe of the place is very friendly.

I liked that is was very civilised with everything you might need as a traveller. Breackfast included for all guests. That's superb. Easy peasy check in process. No hidden or extra fees. I'd use this hostel again

I LOVED this place!!! My partner and I stayed there this weekend, and it was so, so lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, they are so happy to help and provided us with whatever we needed. They were also very quick to reply! Courtney at the front desk was SUPER helpful and even gave us some suggestions for things to do in the city, which we ended up taking one of the recommendations, and it was a great time! She was also so friendly and bubbly and just really fun to talk to. Andre (I think was his name...?), or whoever the fellow was that was answering my messages, was incredibly attentive and provided us with a heater, shampoo, and conditioner upon request. My partner and I left in a hurry and couldn't stop at the front desk, but Andre even ran down the stairs and out the door just to wave "goodbye" to us and thank us for staying! As someone who is used to very sterile, polite, "professionalism" environments, that really meant a lot to me. Things I loved: -super cozy and warm environment -rooms and bathroom were super clean -very flexible check-in and check-out; we were able to leave our luggage in our room till 5pm while we ran around adventuring in the city -very low-key; nothing was fancy or extravagant, it was just really comfortable and relaxed -about a 6min walk from the nearest subway stop, and really great location for going to a lot of major places -easy to go in and out of the room and the building without fear of being locked out -the staff really look out for their guests and are personally invested in making sure everyone gets what they need Things to consider: -It's NOT a hotel, so the amenities, front desk availability, and overall "caliber" are different -bathrooms and showers are outside of the rooms and shared with other guests -it gets quite cold at night (though they happily provided us with a heater and we were fine) My partner liked it but prefers the more standard accommodations and privacy of a regular hotel. I, on the other hand, am a super people person and love low-key, comfortable, interpersonal environments like this hostel provided! So while it might not be for everyone, I give it 5 stars for a really great place to spend a few nights, an amazing job done by the staff, and overall a wonderful stay with no complaints or negative experiences (ironically unlike many hotels I've visited). Thank you all so much for the wonderful stay!!!!!!!!

Great spot in a perfect location! Note that no elevator and stairs are pretty narrow heading up to rooms. Room was small but clean and nice to have a sink/ mirror & own AC unit. They also provide towels and breakfast. We never had to wait for shower or washroom either. Would recommend!

My husband and I visited NYC for the first time this weekend, so we were so excited to book a room so close to everything we wanted to see! This B&B was the absolute perfect homebase for us, and had everything we could have possibly needed. While we were only in our room to sleep, we found ourselves very comfortable in every way. We fell in love with NYC and this B&B, and will only be staying here on future trips!

I was very surprised that this hotel not only equalled the fine hostels in Europe but surpassed them. The room was spotless as well as the shared facilities. The lounge and Kitchen area was again both spotless and made the place fell homey. I had asked for the lower floor because of mobility ptoblems and received it. The staff was excellent. The lady at check in gave me a tour, helped with an electronics proplem that was my fault and made me feel not only welcome but valued as a guest. The overnight person assisted me getting up the stairs and the day person at check out carried my heavy bag down the staits for me. The fresh donuts and baked goods at breakfast hit the spot. The ability to use the kitchen for coffee, microwave, and whatever purposes was an added feature that made my stay comfortable. The room itself had everything needed for my stay and then some. The bed was very comfortable and the linen fresh and soft. Towels, face cloths were provided. They are wonderful people and have made this hotel my go to place in NYC.

Clean. Friendly and polite staff. Good communication before check-in. Awesome breakfast. Comfortable beds. Other guests were nice. Great location. Near to public transport and attractions. Felt like home away from home. Thank you! Will come back.

Not a 5-star hotel. But clean, comfortable and close to the action. TOP-Notch on a value per dollar basis. I will stay again

Decent hostel for the price, private rooms, good breakfast and nice staff. Only minus is the shower which was a mere drip from the ceiling.

What a great stay! This little awning leads up to a bright, cozy space that was friendly and welcoming. Rooms are small but include beds, sinks and mirrors, a/c in windows, and full length mirror. Bathroom is down the hall, and the common kitchen area is always stocked eighth snacks and a fridge to cook your own meals. What an awesome and adorable stay in Manhattan!

Showers and bathrooms were very clean and nice! Shower head was a rain shower and they had shampoo and conditioners varieties if you left yours at home. The hostel keepers were super personable and helped us bring our heavy bags upstairs, and insisted on it. The beds were comfortable, the rooms had a small sink and mirror for the resident, and the hostel was cutely decorated! The kitchen was well stocked, and the lounge had comfortable places to sit.

Amazing place! Worth easily double what we paid! Rooms are clean and big (big for a hostel). Very clean for real for real! Andre (the manager) is amazing! So hospitable! I will 100% for sure be staying here again and telling everyone I know about this place. Best stay in Manhattan for less than $300/night!

Great wee hostel. Breakfast is excellent. Sink in room. Small rooms but toilets/showers on every floor. No elevator. Friendly staff. Has all necessary items in kitchen free to use such as milk, tea, coffee, butter, spreads for toast, etc. This is so handy. Air con in room. We really like it here.

If you are looking for a great place with a great price and a great location in New York City, this is your go to lodging choice. It is accessible to just about any area of the city you want to get to. There is a subway nearby, plenty of grocery stores and restaurants, and it is located in a safe, decent area of Manhattan. Andre, who works the front desk, is a great guy. He will make sure you are taken care of. They offer bunkbed rooms if it’s you and a friend. Every room has a television and air conditioning. The bathrooms and showers are communal, but always kept clean. There are also plenty on each floor so you have access to one at any time. Every morning, there is free breakfast, which mainly consists of pastries and fruit and they have plenty of bread stocked in the kitchen. They have a full kitchen so you can cook your own food and a fridge to store anything you bring with a convenient, safe way to label your items to make sure no one eats them. A cab ride to this place from the airport (JFK) will run you about 70 bucks. And there was also hand sanitizer at the front desk if you need it. There is a full office with a bunch of games and printer. Plenty of maps in the front to help you get anywhere in the city. As far as noise goes, it is New York City, so you will hear cars and horns honking outside, but it does mellow down in the later hours of the night. I was able to get a good nights rest without any disturbances. The guests are not noisy as quiet is encouraged as a means to respect others. The hostel is also accessible to many major parks in New York, Central Park is a quick subway ride away. Every guest is provided with a shower towel and a hand towel that is clean and smells fresh. As soon as we checked out, the gentleman at the front desk immediately went to clean our room, so you know the rooms are cleaned after each guest leaves. Check in is super simple, all you have to do is text the number provided to you in the email when you are 15 minutes away. Someone is always there to welcome you and get you set up. Check out is easy as well. You just drop off your key and let the gentleman know you’re leaving. Every room also has a sink. The only thing I would recommend is to go out and grab yourself a small bottle of hand soap, because the bathrooms don’t necessarily have that stocked. If there is a soap bottle in there, it’s water that has been refilled on the bottom scrapings over and over. The beds are comfortable. We spent four nights here and I can honestly say I would go back in a heartbeat. This is my go to place to stay in New York. Highly recommended place to stay. You’re not gonna get a better deal in Manhattan for an affordable price like this one. When it comes to the breakfast, the food is fresh every morning. Nothing is recycled. But, if you have dietary restrictions, it would be better to go ahead and get yourself some items and store them in the fridge because all their breakfast items are heavy and sugar and bread, which are two things I don’t eat. The berries (strawberries, blueberries) were perfect each morning to accompany my keto bread. Which, if you do keto, all of the grocery stores in the vicinity offer keto friendly items. If you don’t want pastries for breakfast, they also have milk and cereal in stock for guests to eat. If you have any emergency laundry you need to do, there is a dry cleaner right next-door. If you need to mail anything out, there is a post office next-door. For any shopping needs, there is a great grocery store literally around the corner. Plenty of bars just a block or two away. Great restaurants just two minutes away. As I said, there is a subway station close by that can get you anywhere in the city. And if you’re a big Harry Potter fan, Harry Potter New York is less than 10 minutes away walking. For the location, cleanliness, amenities and price, this is probably the best place to stay in Manhattan if you’re on a budget.

Excellent location, this place is a block away from NYU. definitely an experience. :) the staff is very very helpful, despite the lack of decent facilities-like your own toilet, the place can be an amazing experience in itself.

Sweet place to stay. CLEAN!! Great shower pressure, hooks and ledges. Breakfast nice included fruit. Rooms warm in winter but perfect with window cracked. Awesome travelers. If you can’t stay here you’re not fit for a hostel.

I was here back in 2019 and it was really an awesome place to stay, so we decided to go back with one friend this time in 2021 and it was even better. The place is super cool and has the best possible location in NY with a great price. Amdre (the host) was so kind, polite and helpful. The rooms are great, and the very best part is the breakfast and coffee you can take :D! We also met a girl called Courtney that was helping Amdre to make some new changes to this place. We will for sure go back to this place every time we visit New York. If you get to read this, we miss you Amdre and Courtney, the guys from Argentina!

So, I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, yet still now and again thinking how wonderful the place was. It was clean, quiet, breakfast was delicious, there were always snacks left, not like other places will lock everything up. Staff were very polite and helpful. I'd recommend this place, and will defo stay there again next time I visit NY.

This place is so clean! The Cleaning staff do a great job. What to expect: tiny room, no elevator, friendly staff, no eggs for breakfast but coffee , fruit bread and cereal, a fridge where you can put some groceries, great location . I would definitely stay here again .

The staff and especially Courtney was amazing, super friendly, accommodating, helpful and full of tips that made our nyc adventures so beautiful! The room was simple but it was all we needed, just a place to come to after a long day out and about. We’d definitely stay here again, great location, fair price and honestly I’d come again even just for the friendly feeling. Thanks guys!
