NYC Horse Carriages was great about keeping in contact with us, and sent several reminders via text message to confirm our tour and instructions for where & when to report. Our carriage driver Christine was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She provided great history and pop-culture references about the park and the sites visited. Had a amazing time on our tour. The tour guide was amazing (ask for Alessandra) she was very knowledgeable and great personality. Everyone made me feel like a made the right decision on choose them to do my proposal. They all was in on it and came out to be a very special surprise for my fiancé. They even spoke to code so we was on the same page😆. The photographer did amazing job on blending in with the crowd which made our experience more fantastic. Thank you so much Henry and Mary for the most wonderful experience on 12/28. My family and I really had a blast. Henry was full of insights about the Park and surrounding area. He did a fantastic job of narrating the ride. The carriage was clean, and provided a blanket which we really didn’t need with the warm weather that evening, but used anyway. There were many beautiful stops with many pictures taken…Henry was awesome with that as well. The girls loved Mary the horse, and rightfully wanted to take her back home with them. We just had a magical time in Central Park. Highly highly recommend.

My wife had always wanted to experience a carriage ride through Central Park. After a lot of research, I chose NYC Horse Carriage Rides and was very impressed with the entire operation. Scheduling was simple, the cost was well within my range, and the ride through the park was very enjoyable. Due to the size of our group, I needed to reserve two carriages but this was easily accomplished. I was very impressed with the reminders to my phone as to the date and time of the ride, as well as easy to follow directions for where to meet the carriage driver. I had a scheduling snafu on the day of my reservation and it only took a phone call to move it to an available spot later in the day. Will definitely use this company again and recommend it to others who are visiting New York City.

Highly recommend this tour!!! We learned so much about the history of the park, that it was effectively BUILT for carriages back in the 1850s. It's definitely the best way to tour the park-- we saw the entire lower half of the park, got out several times for pictures and were entertained by the musicians in the park as well. Easy & comfortable way to see all the highlights of Central Park. We stayed at Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South so the carriages were just across the street. Prior to our ride, they communicated well and gave clear directions on how to find them (amongst other carriage companies). We got to pick our carriage which was comfortable, the driver was knowledgeable & entertaining, plus he was experienced at getting good group photos. They provided a stool that we requested which made our stops easy. Loved watching the musicians at Strawberry Fields. Glad we booked the 1 hr VIP tour. Worth it!

Me and 3 of my oldest friends went to NYC for a weekend to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We booked with NYC Horse Carriage rides because they had an hour long tour and we wanted to see a good bit of the park. It ended up being too hot on Saturday for the horses so our tour was cancelled, but they were so accommodating, they fit us in the next morning before we had to drive out. Our driver, Pedro, was fantastic! He had all kinds of information about areas of the park and the surrounding structures. He stopped frequently so we could take pictures and he let us interact with the horse, Clinton, and take photos. Pedro also took TONS of photos of our group himself and really went out of his way to capture the experience for us. He was great. I would highly recommend this carriage tour if you are in town and seeing Central Park for the first time!

We had an amazing time on our carriage tour of Central Park. Our driver was very informative and it was nice to hear all about the park's history and see some of the areas we have not been to yet. Our daughter rides horses so this was really nice to see that the horses were healthy and happy. They were very friendly and we got to feed them carrots provided by the guides. Our horse Billy was so sweet ! It was a great addition to our list of things to do on our first trip to NYC!

Our horse and carriage ride was amazing. My grandchildren enjoyed it so much and they're still smiling about their experience. Jacks was a great tour guide and he showed us everything. The kids loved Sam the horse and loved feeding him too! Over all we had a great experience. Thanks so much!

This is the best way to see Central Park. Josh and his horse, Winter, took us around the park for an hour ride. Josh was a great tour guide. He knows his stuff. He stopped at several places throughout the park to let us take pictures. Winter was very calm the whole time, even when we left the trail in the park and were on the busy roads of New York. Thank you, Josh and Winter, for making our first trip to Central Park memorable. We had a blast!

It took a fair bit of research online before our NYC trip to decide on NYC Horse Carriage rides and booking such a thing remotely with no personal knowledge or the knowledge of a friend or family member was hard. WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE! Our drivers were very polite and accommodating! If they don't love their jobs, they sure do act like they do! That included our GORGEOUS horse Olaf. We saw many other horses out that cold day, but Olaf was BY FAR the best looking horse around. He looked very well cared for and had an amazing coat. He seemed like he had a tiny touch of NYC attitude which we loved! The drivers/guides (we had two because Olaf was in training) were very engaging and knowledgeable about the park. We requested extra blankets since we were coming from Florida and it was Feb 5 and 38 degrees and they had them ready for us. These guys are the real deal and if you book with anyone else, you're a fool. And request Olaf if he's available.

We had a great ride! Our driver was knowledgeable, sharing points of interest along the way, while also letting us have time to ourselves. He introduced us to the horse, Handsome Jack, and allowed us to pet him before our ride. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend this company to others.

This trip was my mums bucket list and I can say we had a truly fantastic time! Our driver was friendly, helpful and full of knowledge! The horse was beautiful and we had fun feeding him the carrots! Thank you so much x

Robert, our carriage driver was amazing. He was kind, thoughtful and very entertaining. He shared the history of the area, stopped for photo ops and showed us several movie locations. He was very loving with his horse Aurora and seemed to take very good care of her. After the trip, we fed her carrots which my daughter’s enjoyed. We would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting New York!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. It was easy to find and the driver we had was fantastic and so was Benji! This was a memorable experience for my mother and I, our driver made sure to share all of the infamous spots where many scenes have taken place amongst other things. We truly enjoyed it. She also was a GREAT photographer with my phone, she made this the best experience!

Fantastic experience - Did the VIP 65min tour at night on 28/11/23. The guy was very knowledgable and engaging and the thick warm blankets were great. Really recommend this company and doing the tour at Night as NYC and Central Park looked amazing. Thanks again

The ride through Central Park was the highlight of our trip, absolutely wonderful. Our driver was Henry and he was amazing!!! He was very engaged and his narration kept entertained throughout the ride. He volunteered to take numerous pictures and they turned out great. I cannot say enough about the experience. We are already talking about returning to NYC in the Spring to see the cherry blossoms!!!

We were in New York from South Carolina. This was the ride of a lifetime dream come true. Robert was fantastic! Kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We have owned horses for over 30 years and I can say that these are well cared for and loved. Venus , our carriage horse deserves a special treat for taking such good care of us. Firstly, I have docked a star as the $55 bottle of champagne was Spumante and clearly not Champagne, as this was our wedding anniversary this was disappointing. Now for the experience of the VIP central park Horse and Carriage, it was wonderful and our driver Josh was informative and friendly and made the whole experience a positive one. Iwould recommend this experience, minus the champagne to any one visiting NYC. The location was easy to find and the communication form the company was excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommended.

My daughters and I had the best time on our carriage ride! Our driver was very knowledgeable of Central Park and showed us places where movies were filmed. He took our pictures at various places. We were there the weekend of the flood and the company was prompt in texting me to let me know all rides for Friday were cancelled. We were able to reschedule for the next day very easily. Very professional company and we would book with them again.

Absolutely love NYC horse Carriage rides!! The Carriage was lovely.They provided .nice warm blankets because it was quite cold in December but so magical!! Our driver Saaed so knowledgeable,engaging & told us so many interesting facts about Central Park & Movies filmed there! He stopped at several locations & took amazing photos of us! We loved our horse Handsome Jack! So sweet! We will definitely be back with company & possibly another Valentine's ride!!

One thing to note if you are planning in advance, they want you to arrive 30 minutes before your booked time and will start your tour when you arrive — so think of a 5pm reservation as a 4:30 reservation. I would highly recommend this experience!

What an amazing experience. Our guide, Josh was amazing. Our horse, Lady Liberty was amazing. I immediately fell in love with her. She warmed right up to me and I loved on her for a good 5 minutes before our ride while Josh took the top down. Josh is very knowledgeable, down to earth and funny. It was so obvious the horses were not only cared for, but loved as well.

Horse drawn carriage ride in Central Park Mr Josh our horse carriage driver was ready for us when we met him a good 15 minutes early for the first ride of the day. Sir Bush our nice horse a Percheron breed was raring to go. After exchanging greetings and confirming our names, we were seated on the spacious carriage and underway to our 60 minutes ride through Central park. Josh who said he majored in theater and minored in history was pointing out the buildings, statues and other landmark both inside and out the park. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his job. We first went up a small hill where a trough of water is, for Sir Bush to drink his fill and then we set off. At some of the important landmarks, Josh stopped his carriage and took our pictures. During one such stop, he offered us carrots to feed the horse. Sir Bush was nicely behaved and ate up 3 of them while the 4th one was getting dropped more then thrice. For some unknown reason, I packed an extra bottle of water and it came handy to wash off the horse saliva from our hands and Josh offered some sanitizer for the hands. After completing the course, Josh brought us back to the place of origin. We tipped him a generous $41 and he was very grateful for that.

I tried to book a carriage ride the week before our trip, but they were completely booked up. Luckily I kept checking and there must’ve been a cancellation one day that worked perfectly with our schedule. It was great to sit back and just enjoy myself and the views of and around Central Park and ended up being one of my favorite experiences. Our driver was great and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to book a carriage ride.

The horse carriage ride was my gift to my daughter because it was her birthday. She loved it. We had an amazing experience and the driver Troy was a very nice and knowledgeable guy and the horse Handsome Jack was very friendly. We loved our ride. We recommend it to anyone who visits NYC.

Emre and Lucky Sam were an absolute delight !! Emre was knowledgable regarding the history of Central Park and engaged my daughter by asking her lots of great questions and letting her interact with beautiful Lucky Sam. The ride was a beautiful homecoming to a city I hold dear to my heart, stopping at several special spots for photos - and pulling up to Tavern on the Green in a carriage made my daughter feel like a true princess !! I would recommend NYC Horse Carriage Rides to anyone that wants the BEST ride experience though the park !!

Frank was an amazing historian and story teller. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the park as well as the surrounding areas. He was able to give information about the horse(Frank the Tank) and his care and will being too. My husband and I would totally do this ride again next time we are in NYC, but at night - just to see things from a different perspective.

What an amazing experience! My mom has always wanted to see Central Park but I knew she could not walk too much. This was the BEST way for her to see the park. Our guide was Henry and he was so great. He stopped to take photos for us (which looked like he really knew his way around an Iphone), he told us so much about the park from who created it, about statues, where movies were filmed and a ton of fun facts. The carriage was very comfortable and I liked how Henry spoke to his horse Sophia with genuine care. I cannot recommend this experience enough and can't wait to do it again! Relaxing informative Central Park Tour! Our group of three will forever have wonderful memories of our carriage ride through the park with Frank and Frank the Tank. We received reminders about our reservation and a taxi dropped us off right at the pick-up point. The carriage was easily accessible to three generations of my family. Frank started our tour a couple of minutes early, took his time, and spoke in a clear soothing voice as he shared lots of interesting facts about the park and surrounding areas. He was patient as my 75+ mother got in and out of the carriage at multiple stops and he took many group and solo photos. I will definitely do this tour again. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

We loved our driver so friendly and knowledgeable not to mention an excellent photographer. Our beautiful horse Dennis the Menace was gentle and kind letting us pet him. Great tour (not rushed) the driver even let us get off at a few places, where he took numerous photos of us. I’d highly recommend this company to anyone.

Our carriage ride was perfect! Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. She knew a great deal about the park and the area. She stopped several times to allow us to take pictures and she took pictures of us. It was a wonderful experience and we’ll do it the next time we visit Manhattan. And Benji was a sweetheart as well. Hassan was the absolute best driver! He was so kind and knowledgeable and gave us so many tips and pieces of info throughout the park. He recommended some great photos stops and took as many pictures as we wanted. Our horse, Mary, was beautiful, smart, and sweet and she and Hassan clearly have a lovely relationship. We were very happy with how well the horse was treated. It was a cold but enjoyable ride that we’d recommend!
