We ate here twice while visiting the City. Found it to be a clean, modern, and friendly update to the prototypical NYC diner. Service was efficient, the menu was diverse enough for both of us to find something appealing, and the prices were reasonable. They even had some alcoholic drinks on the menu for those who would like to partake. I enjoyed the French toast, eggs, and bacon I had as well as the omelette. My companion enjoyed her omelette and tuna melt the previous day. Would highly recommend.

Came here for breakfast around 9am (with a reservation on OpenTable) and was seated right away. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but there were still a few open tables. This place is called a coffee shop, but it's much much more than that. They offer different types of tea (i got the green tea), smoothies, juices, and an assortment of breakfast items. They have french toast, pancakes, omelettes, and more. I ordered the steak and eggs, and my mom ordered the garden omelette. Both of these dishes came with home fries (YUM) and toast (white or whole wheat). The food was great, but it was the service that brought this place to a whole other level. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. She was helpful when we were figuring out what to order, and would constantly refill our teas and coffees throughout our meal. When she took away the dish of creams, she noticed I had put some into my tea and left me 2 just in case I wanted more. It's these little things that really impressed me, and I would go back just because of the incredible service.

We stopped in late for some desserts. We were not disappointed. I had the cheesecake which was excellent, no frills, just the cake. My wife had an ice cream sundae with a brownie and it was also terrific. My wife got a decaf coffee and it was pretty old and she sent it back which is the only reason they aren't getting 5 stars from me.

Wonderful service. We didn't want potatoes as it's too heavy at breakfast and our waitress said we can substitute lettuce, tomato or cucumber. The cukes won and it was certainly refreshing. The service is excellent here, very friendly.

My friends and I found this place right by our hotel. It has that all American diner vibe. They had their menu posted on the windows and that’s what caught our attention because we were starving for breakfast. So we decided to see if we could get a table. When we walked inside it was extremely packed but expected as it was a Sunday morning but they were able to seat us immediately. There were a lot of people seating at the tables outside as well. The waitress quickly came by and got our orders. The food and drinks came out quickly after. The food was delicious! The price was diner prices very cheap and affordable. Really shocking as this place is located in Time Square. They are open for long hours as well. This place is great and I recommend everyone visit them. I will definitely be returning for the food, service and price point.

4/12 back for lunch w/coworkers. I had the spaghetti w/ Bolognese. It was good. It needed bread for dipping, I should have asked. Next time, I will. This time, you should. ;) 4/9/22 first time here. Been walking by for some time. Figured I should check it out. Pretty decent place. I had the comfort food special, cup of soup (Yellow split pea - good) , turkey burger basket - good and apple pie - it was ok. (You only can choose apple or cherry pie, or ice cream). Service was good. Prices are ok for the area. Nice booths with high backs, so it feels a bit private. Just a bit, lol. Lot's of TV's around (no sound) and they all had the Yankee game on. I'll be back.

Tried this diner while visiting NYC. Great place to enjoy your typical diner food. I walked by this place several times and always found it busy. 4 of us tried it for a later breakfast - 10am still 15 minute wait. Diner cubbies a bit small for 4 to sit comfortably. Tons of staff pumping out meals and serving quickly. Our server was efficient. We order waffles pancakes eggs and omelette all great. Pancake was huge. Waffle standard. Sunny side eggs uses extra large eggs with deep orange yolks served with y fries and bread. Omelette was tasty we tried a Mexican version - look not appetizing with salsa but had flavour. We enjoyed but breakfast is pricy. Assuming because it’s Manhattan and caters to tourists like me. Enjoyed the meal but it’s basically paying for a dinner meal at breakfast. I would go again but would be a bit careful with ordering more affordable options. Coffee was good.

Everything you want in a New York City dinner for breakfast. Fantastic quality food, huge portions, wonderful attentive service. You will not be disappointed. Or hungry!

Enjoyed dinner here on a weeknight around 8:30pm, so there were lots of table booths available. Our server was courteous, fast & efficient. I had a chicken sandwich (a bit on the dry side) & my guest had pancakes & bacon for dinner! This is a basic, brightly lit diner, so what you see is what you get. Nothing fancy, just comfort food in a classic "diner" environment. // At the cashier's check-out station, there are some baked goods displayed in a glass case. We ordered some large baked muffins to take back to the hotel. Delicious!

Another NYC diner that left me unimpressed. Service was good and friendly, but the food was nothing to brag about. The blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage were pretty good. But here we go again with the onions and peppers in the potatoes. Just stop…not everyone likes that!! My husband had an omelet, and he liked it! Just wasn’t what I was hoping for as far as food…

This diner was ok. Service not really on point. They have alot of employees moving around. Definitely not too many African Americans here which kind of feels uncomfortable and even more when you're order arrives after others have just sat down. The fries weren't fresh. But the pizza was nice and hot.

Great food and great service at Andrews NYC diner. The fact there was a line of locals queuing up to eat said a lot, even before we’d eaten. The Philly steak omelette and pancakes were excellent and we were set up for the day with our breakfast.

Great diner! Their black coffee was so good, that we even came back just for coffee. We also enjoyed our breakfast - food was tasty and well cooked. Friendly staff and fast service. Overall nice ambiance and great breakfast place.

Andrews was a lovely spot for breakfast close to hotel. Place had a good vibe and food was really good, really good sized positions. Be prepared to wait as this place is really busy. Would have given 5 star if they kept my coffee topped up like other places I visited.

The typical American diner. We visited twice during our NY stay. On the first time the food was delicious and the service very nice and attentive. The second time, they weren’t busy and 3 people came to sit us as soon as we walked in; food was a bit worse in presentation and the waitress asked us to pay and leave as they had “people to sit”. Bare in mind that there were other people who arrived and finished eating before us and we hadn’t even finish our coffees when she asked her to pay and leave. Service can definitely be improved.

Top notch service, great food and pretty reasonable compared to other city diners. Generally diners in Manhattan get away with serving trash food and charging extremely high prices, but this one, is DEFINITELY NOT one of them. Highly recommended.

I try not to post negative reviews for restaurants, but the corned beef hash was disgusting. Looks like dog food. Was it even corned beef? There’s no way to tell. Waitress was nice and potatoes and waffle were good.

Really solid diner. You could tell the server was working there for awhile, very experienced and she had a great quick wit, joked with us the whole time. We told her we were kind of in a rush so she made sure to get out the food fast and even brought the bagels out half-wrapped. I thought that was so thoughtful and kind of her to go above and beyond. Iced coffee was also on point. Prices really good. Breakfast for 2 was $24 (plus tip). Can't beat that.

Great spot for breakfast! Place was packed but food still came out relatively fast. Food was good…but I wasn’t a fan of cheese slices on my omelette. But, the pancakes were fluffy and had great flavor. We were most impressed with the customer service. Delilah (or name close to it) was another level of class!

Nice and affordable place for breakfast, lunch an dinner. We had both breakfast and dinner. The combo for breakfast was great. Pancakes, eggs and ham. And coffee and orange juice for around 17$. I also had spaghetti with meatballs for dinner. Also very good and fair price. Outside seating is possible.

Busy little diner but the service is quick. Food is hot and off the grill; you can see the steam from the pancakes. I like the breakfast specials. They serve large portions so your not hungry when you’re done. Been here 3x’s this week.

In town from Louisville for Basketball so just walking downtown looking for food and came across this spot and they didn't disappoint. Service was just fine. We tried 3 appetizers potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and wings all were good. We all were pleased with our entrees and we also got a slice of cheesecake and apple. Would definitely go back.

Solid, no fuss diner option not far from Penn Station. Reasonably priced as far as diners go these days too. Very friendly and attentive service. I stopped in for a quick breakfast right at opening (7 AM) on a Sunday before catching my train and there was plenty of seating.

Andrews is a diner that blends old-fashioned appeal with modern ambiance. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is great. While everything on the menu is delicious, the pancakes are the star of the show. Among the best combos are apple cinnamon pancakes with chocolate chips and buttermilk pancakes with four slices of bacon and maple syrup. The pancakes are heavenly fluffy and full of flavor. Expect to wait in line for around 10-20 minutes, depending on the queue length, but trust the process and enjoy the experience.

The staff is great, especially our very attentive waitress at the counter. The food was hot and came out quick. Home fries were crispy and seasoned! It’s a fast paced place, but you’re never rushed. I was full after my breakfast, but they had tons of options for baked goods that looked amazing. Andrew’s is a must for breakfast if you’re in NY.

Visited Andrew’s 4 times in one week when we visited NYC this week and I think this says it all!!! 3 times we visited was for breakfast and all I can say is WOW. Loads of choice, sweet and savoury! We had both, and it was out of this world. I had the meat lovers omelette which comes with potatoes and I would definitely recommend and the Nutella French bread is to die for!! My husband had the Philly omelette which he said was amazing! He also had blueberry pancakes one morning which he said were phenomenal- I don’t think pancakes in the UK can compare!!! A proper American experience! Very very quick service, they have a fantastic system with plenty of staff members and runs so smoothly. We also visited once for our evening meal- again fantastic!! There’s not many places where you can visit multiple times at different meal times and still get outstanding service. We had a pizza and a panini. Again, fantastic food!!! If you want a feel for an American diner with fantastic food then visit Andrew’s!!!!! The staff are so friendly, and can’t do enough for you! The cheapest place we visited for food all week (sit down service)!

A true American Diner. We've been there a couple of times during breakfast time. Always super busy, but we were lucky not to wait too long before sitting. The staff is very attentive. The portions are very big and the food is absolutely delicious.

A functional American diner with plenty of seating ; though booths are quite small. I visited on a weekday morning when Andrews was very busy. Initial service to order was slow However, ordered food was delivered quickly after placing an order. Andrew's offers different menus for the time of day. There are plenty of places to eat in this area. Whilst Andrew's was fine, I wouldn't make an effort to visit specially.

Overpriced place with mediocre food and mediocre service. I paid $8.25 for a grilled cheese with tomato and I’m pretty sure it was just Velveeta. Most annoying of all, when I asked the server if I could add a side of grilled chicken he said “uhhh nah. I don’t think the machine will let me.” Is the machine cooking the chicken? He didn’t offer any solution, just that, no, I can’t order a food item from the menu. My sandwich isn’t a salad but I have never been to a restaurant where I couldn’t add a simple side of grilled chicken. One of the dumbest experiences of my life. So I fed my baby sweet potato fries. Oh, I see Google maps has an option for “kid-friendliness.” This place definitely isn’t kid-friendly.

Good spot in the area. Got a chicken noodle soup, refreshing. Got the penne pasta with chicken. That tasted good but some chicken pieces were a bit overcooked. Good for two. Got the apple pie for dessert, not that best.

Fabulous diner, with the tastiest of breakfasts. From pancakes, to omelettes and breakfasts in skillets. Good value for money, friendly staff, quick service and great atmosphere. Would recommend 👌

One of the last old school diners left in nyc ... but with an updated menu. The menu here has vegan burgers, nachos, made to order pizza, etc. I ordered the hamburger. It was no big deal. But the fries! You do get a giant serving of giant fries! The seating is mainly individual booths. Service is great!

I mean, I had breakfast in many places around the world, but this is something unbelievable . Pancakes were the very best I have ever tried in my life. They were crunchy. We will be back here soon

This is a busy place, which was a great sign. We went for breakfast before getting out and about for the day. We also ate for lunch the following day, and there was a 20 min wait. We opted for outdoor seating immediately, which was a nice option. The food was good and the service was great.

I was starving and wanted to have some eggs for breakfast. This place was the closest, and honestly was pretty not bad:my food was served pretty quickly, portion was big. Giving 3 stars for the food as eggs in the omelette definitely needed more time, the rest was great. Not super oily potatoes, which is rare in breakfast place and decent amount of cheese and arugula.

It’s a DINER!! Lives up to its name. visited several times and had a great time. #Fantastic staff, very friendly. Truly enjoyed my eggs, bacon, and avocados… and no worries, they have all the ‘diner’ standards available. They’re laid out like a diner- booths, counter seating, fun tunes, and TVs for your news and sports fix. … and desert toooooo!!

The first day all went very well which is why we went back. It's a very busy place but they are very efficient. The second day our food was barely warm and the service while not bad, was inattentive. My husband who has celiac asked if he could have fruit the second day (which they had) instead of the potatoes and toast. It was a hard no so he only had the omelette but paid the same price twice. It's just okay. The photos are my meals both days. You can see the difference in the potatoes from day 1 to day 2.

This is a great place for breakfast, cozy atmosphere, comfy seats. The staff is nice and quick with orders. Food was great, I had steak and eggs with orange juice and coffee. I liked their homestyle fries. Prices are good too. I would definitely come back again here for breakfast.

My new favorite gem in NY. This diner is officially my favorite breakfast spot in the city. It's hard to find somewhere that offers real breakfast food at a decent price. The staff is exceptionally fast and friendly (from front to back). Every bite of your food leaves your mouth in joy! I had the 2, 2, 2 and my fiancée had the omelet - both of us were impressed by the flavors. We will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC! Note, there will most likely be a wait but it's worth it. They will find a way to make sure you're in the restaurant and staying warm while you wait.

Had breakfast at this place when visiting the city and had a delicious breakfast. The place gets crowded soon and you will have to wait in the queue to get a table. If you want to have breakfast without waiting for about 10-15 mins I highly suggest you book a table in advance. They have a nice spread of breakfast, smoothies and coffee. The food was amazing and so as the customer service. Food was served promptly once you place the order. Will visit again when in NYC.

Nice atmosphere. Our cheese sticks and chili was good. However, my husband’s pizza was a little too burned under the bottom. He sent it back and ordered a Philly Panini. My chicken Panini was good but his was not. The meat was not chopped up at all and was dry. The manager tried to charge us for his food despite him not liking it and sending it back. They had can drinks rather than fountain drinks. So it was no refills.

Wow what a joint, quite a line but moves fast as they do a good job moving tables. I had the amazing french toast with nutella and a side of bacon. My partner's blueberry pancakes rocked also. Good coffee. Good Service. And a good price. Would hit for lunch in the future. But the breakfast will bring me back for sure on a future NYC trip.

This was a nice spot for breakfast. The coffee was good and the French toast was delicious. The pancakes weren’t the best, but the place had a nice vibe. The place is also clean and the staff are plentiful, friendly and efficient.
