We spent 2 weeks in NY actively looking for a good cappuccino and this was the best for a long shot. Good in all aspect, milk, temperature, latteart and excellent staff. Give this guys a support and take some here.

Lively little locally owned coffee shop. Bakes its own pastries, and has its espresso blend and coffee blend coffee custom roasted in New Jersey. Yes, that’s not an off-Broadway punch line, even though it sounds like one.

As a small business owner myself, I strive to make purchases from small businesses in NYC and not large chains. Frisson is a TERRIFIC small business coffee shop. There coffee is flat out AMAZING. The owner explained to me the careful process he uses to purchase beans, which come form another small business in Brooklyn. I work from home as an eBay seller and selling consultant, so I like to step away from my desk several times a day, and stopping by Frisson is a favorite destination. I've had their cappuccino, lattes, hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. All terrific. I've had children with me for a few visits, as they love Frisson hot chocolate. The staff is SUPERB with kids. I mention this as not all Manhattan eateries are the greatest with kids, Seating is available but very limited. But that being said, the few times I've met seller friends for a coffee we've always been able to grab a seat. Our favorite table is the one right by the window. There is also 1 table with two chairs right outside. When you're in the area, stop by. It's well worth it. You will not be dissapointed!

I got a latte and they did really cool latte are in the foam. The coffee was good but besides the art it didn't stand out among other places. What I really liked here was that they took time to talk to me and get to know me. She was very friendly. We ordered a hot chocolate for my 6 year old niece and she made the milk warm but not hot specifically so my niece could drink it right away. You know kids don't like to wait lol. That was just so thoughtful of her to do and 10/10 I would recommend this place

Great little coffee shop. It's pretty small inside, seating for about 10-15 people total. The staff was friendly and my oat latte was strong and tasty. The chai latte was spicy and delicious as well. Only feedback is next time I would ask for my drink extra hot.

Sweet, small and cozy hipster coffeeshop in Hell’s Kitchen . They have WiFi and allow working from there. Coffee was good (had oat milk latte). Their mini pecan pie looked great so did the spinach quiche.

They have reliable WiFi and charging outlets for work. Table is a little small but is sufficient if you're just on your laptop. In terms of coffee and food... my Almond Milk Latte didn't taste good and the Spinach Quiche was pretty average as well.

I had Frisson espresso saved on my places to try for the longest time and finally I tried it out. A quick walk from the times square this little coffee place has great coffee and the baristas here are amazing! A great conversation while brewing an amazing cup of coffee. If you love art on your coffees they are artistic and will make you some great coffee art. Not a lot of places spend time doing so. Great coffee! Great art! Great barista!

Went for a coffee, actually got a latte. The owner was extremely nice and takes pride in his coffee's. Also does really cool latte art! I travel a lot and try many different places. This place is pretty good coffee but besides the amazing service it didn't stand out amongst others in other parts of the world. I'd still go back no questions asked.

What a great local spot. This place has great coffee and a Brooklyn vibe. It’s tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Hells Kitchen. Their coffee art is the best I’ve had in the city. Glad I found this place. I’m looking forward to coming back

This is the cutest little coffee shop and their coffee is amazing! We came here three days straight during our NYC trip and loved it so much. Would highly recommend the hazlenut latte. Oh and they do amazing latte art and the staff is very friendly too!

I had an appointment in the area and stopped in for a quick coffee and a snack. What a great, little spot! Enjoyed an americano—lovely flavor—and, despite not being a scone person, ordered the strawberry scone, which was delicious!

Nice little coffee shop, with just plain good coffee. Nothing fancy with quick service. The ham & cheese croissant was nicely warmed up and very flaky. Ham was a bit on the salty side but it's ham.

Loved this place! Friendliest staff (it really makes you feel welcome when you're traveling, thank you!) -- good coffee, comfortable contemporary atmosphere and yes, delightful latte art -- came back twice during my short visit

This was the very first coffee shop I visited when I arrived to NYC. 😍 The coffee was so well-made. I ordered a standard macchiato and a raspberry scone. SO GOOD Although the place is a little small, the music and atmosphere is immaculate. 👌🏼

Really cute coffee shop. Very welcoming environment and helpful barista. The coffee was enjoyable. We had a hazelnut latte and flat white. They do amazing latte art! There isn’t the crowd of other coffee shops but the quality of the coffee is even better than the crowded, overhyped locations. Love the down-to-earth feel of this location. One of my favorites so far in NYC.

Cute and cozy little cafe. The coffee was really good. Was a grab and go. Would Have sit and enjoy it but it’s a smaller place and on a very cold night. Limited seating.

Great cup of coffee and espresso drinks. Good vibe inside and friendly baristas. I enjoyed my red-eye. Fresh beans in the coffee and espresso. Fair pricing

Really chill and great service. The hot matcha was a little cold when I got it, but they made me a new one, without any hassle. The Kouign-amann/kouignettes was ok, i was hoping it would be a little more flaky. It was a little too dense. Perhaps because they reheated it in the small convection oven. Overall, a good place to get coffee. I came on a Sunday morning, not busy, and service relaxed.

Not sure how this place got great reviews for its lattes because I found the taste to be average. Minus the latte art, the latte tasted like what I make at home by adding some milk to my coffee. A bit disappointed. Also, if you are looking for quiet coffee shop to take a quick break in, I don’t recommend this place because they had (at least for when I was staying) some kind of rock music that kinda gave me a headache so I quickly finished my coffee and left.

Searching for a good local coffee shop? Nestled in the middle of the street, we almost missed this gem! It was New Years Eve and most places were closing early, despite this the young lady working saw everybody enjoying the delicious coffee and socializing with their families and kept her doors open 20 mins after close! Sweetness in more than just my cup! Will return next time I'm in the area.

Stumbled upon this cute coffee shop on my walk and was immediately welcomed by friendly staff and the aroma of fresh espresso. I ordered a dirty chai to-go but was suggested to dine-in and drink it fresh. I’m glad I took heed. My bev was very tasty and the cute latte art was the cherry on top. 10/10 will come back.

Among our group, we had an oat milk latte, regular milk latte and cappuccino, and a iced berry matcha latte, and a spinach quiche. All items, especially all 3 of the coffees, were excellent and latte art was pretty as well. One of my favorite coffee shops in the Times Square surrounding area. The spinach quiche is quite filling though a bit expensive at $7.25

I love their latte! It was smooth and the flavor was balanced between milk and coffee. The scone was also delicious which I wish they can make more flavors in the future. However, it was a little bit pricy for a scone. I got a pretty small one compared to the one they put in the front to catch your eyes.

I had a great Cappuccino at a good price in NYC. They offered delicious treats (local bakery) the Canele was my favourite for that day . While the cafe's size is small but the quality of both the coffee and the bakery make it worth a visit . A shout out to Andreas for his excellent service.

I quickly searched a nearby cafe while at Times Square (bc why support starbucks when you can support a small business?) and I came across this delicious place! The barista was so kind and created the perfect cappuccino! I told him I wanted it sweet but not overwhelming and he got it on the nose! The space was quaint and filled with awesome artwork! Definitely check this place out!

The best coffee in the Hells Kitchen area and maybe in NY!!! I read on the door of the coffee shop someone’s review “heaven in a hells kitchen”! It is true! The best way to start your morning is to go to Frisson to grab a good coffee and fresh pastry! You will not regret it!

Coffee is delicious which is what you want for your quaint neighborhood coffee shop! It is small, so don’t expect a seat. Food is good. Staff were super friendly and enjoyable

Got an oat milk latte. The coffee flavor was great. The milk was not steamed uniformly though. Still a good coffee shop to visit. The cafe is named after the French word "frisson" which means "thrill" and refers to the thrill you get when you get your coffee.

A nice place to have coffee and a sandwich. At this coffee shop, you will see a smile on all crew faces. I always coming here to have my coffee and chill out with my friends. Also, I noticed that many people ordered the pavlova cake that looked delicious. I will surely return to this coffee shop and highly recommend it as an official stop on a visit.

Best coffee I've had in Manhattan in a while. Finally! It's been slightly depressing these days because I've been trying so many highly rated cafes with mediocre coffee. I tried a flat white today. Really aromatic coffee with just the right level of bitterness, topped with a professional foam pour, all while the baristas were filling a large order by another customer. You could tell they know what they're doing. Anyways, I just remember that first sip feeling like heaven amidst my otherwise bland day (I was in the area for car repairs... lots of auto shops around here). Will most certainly be back if I'm in the area again!
