Sharing one review but I’ve been to Bird & Branch multiple time so these are some of the photos from my various visits here. This is one of my favorite coffee places in NYC - it has a Japanese-fusion inspired menu and the drinks are named after birds. I love the creativity this place has put into their menu. They also rotate the drinks seasonally so the menu stays fresh. Although I don’t have a picture of it I highly recommend the iced passionfruit black tea during the summer -it’s a refreshing drink and not too sweet. The snowy owl and the mockingbird are definitely worth a try during the colder months. Their food menu is also really on point. I love the miso hummus toast -it’s like a vegan caprese toast and it’s delicious. The egg sandwich and the matcha square are also personal favorites of mine. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely place! The atmosphere is so nice and the coffee was delicious. I was able to get some work done on the laptop and hangout. Had my first and last coffees in New York here so it will always have a special place in my heart 🥰

I really enjoyed this place! Very cute, nice staff, and good food with good price! I had hojicha tea with oat and hojicha square bread. Loved the bread! Definitely recommend!

Anti-Asian racist warning - I’ve written quite a lot of reviews but this is my first comment on a racist attitude on google map. This place used to be my favorite café in NYC when I lived here. The staff were super friendly back then. I visited during my trip to NYC and noticed a thick-bearded staffer treating Asian customers unfairly. I observed for an hour, and he consistently ignored only Asian customers, not saying hi or goodbye, and not responding to any “thank you” or words of gratitude, while being friendly to white customers. I cannot believe this sort of attitude still exists in NYC. Coffee and food were still good though at least.

First time and will return, this place was a quick walk from where I was staying and service was great. I decided to try one of their signature drinks and was very satisfied with my choice. I had the Blackbird which is Latte made with espresso, blackberries, thyme, housemade almond macadamia milk. (Hot) its a very delicious drink along with a slice of warm banana nut bread. Overall my experience was great and enjoyed it.

Stumbled upon this cafe on a cold evening and felt so glad that I decided to go in right away. Their "Robin," which is a turmeric and ginger latte made with housemade almond and macadamia milk, was so pleasant. It warmed me and was just sweet enough with honey but not too sweet. Simply a perfect drink for someone craving a non-coffee hot drink that is not overly sweet!

I had nightingale that is their specialty, latte with earl grey. It is quite nice but a bit too much milk. I wish there’s more early grey. I asked for Sesame square among their baked good but they mistakenly gave me hojicha. It’s pretty sweet. The cappuccino was okay, light & correct temperature, no bitter after taste which I like. If you like cute place, this is where to go. They have small outdoor seating.

I got the egg sandwich as is and a hot vanilla latte. Went at 1:30 and was able to get a window seat and a table. Less than 15 seats in the place. The service was so good! Seemed like the employees were having fun. They even tried to put a pumpkin pic on my latte for spooky season! The sandwich was a unique delicious taste. Felt healthy idk if that makes sense. Would come here again! $16 total

In a word, eh. More of a run in and take than a sit down spot as the interior is unappealing, to say the most. Doesn't look kept, dirty in all frankness, no snacks to speak of. The coffee was fine, but not good enough to make it a place for a second visit.

I enjoyed the drinks, we got the Nightingale and Parakeet. Husband cringed at the taste though. Service was bad. One of the staff had to clear a table next to us, and he was badmouthing them to the new customer on them not clearing their cups when there’s no sign on needing to do so. They left a tip (and so did we) at the counter when there’s no table service, and it’s ridiculous that you pay a tip and are yet expected to do everything yourself. Should we get a tip for clearing our own table then? So although I liked the drinks, I will not be returning.

we had a little free time around time square area and need some caffeine boost. Luckily to found this amazing coffee shop! They offer various kinds of latte flavor, listed ingredients details on the menu for you to choose. Got a ‘the blackbird’ with blackberry base and ‘the robin’ in yellow color with turmeric and ginger. Like blackberry one the better, haven’t imagined that berries could be a such good match with coffee. Outside seats are chill, right next to the drive way tho, may be a bit noisy if someone keep honking. Otherwise, a good spot for a treat for sure!

My favorite cafe in HK. They have pastries and drinks with Asian influences. Love the ambition of the owners and it seems they really value the staff. Service is always great and the presentation of drinks is well thought out. The overall aesthetic is clean and artsy. They have little stickers and shirts for sale that show off cute graphics that connect with each of their drinks. My personal favorites are the puffin (black sesame espresso) and sparrow (sparkling lemonade cold brew, don't knock it til you try it).

Simple yet creative food menu with a great selection of coffee and tea drinks. The nori avocado toast is very unique and the egg sandwich tastes even better with rou-song. They also make their own almond macadamia milk, which is a great milk substitute for regular latte. Seasonal shaved ice is nice summer treat:)

Great espresso and cappuccino. A bit hard to find, it doesn’t have the typical coffee shop look from the outside. Very friendly and hip vibe inside. Loved the options to choose between a house blend and single origin for the cappuccino. Try the earl grey infused latte or cappuccino if you’re in an adventurous mood.

Terrific cafe gem if you are big on coffee quality but want fresh takes on your daily drink. Casual shop house atmosphere with a dozen or so inside seats, and a few more outside. Regular coffee and tea options are available, but the signature drinks are the star. I tried the Sunbird which mixes espresso with pineapple juice, coconut milk, tumeric, ginger and honey as an iced option - creamy and natural, the espresso added a sharp contrast to the sweet acidic pineapple juice. I also tried a Nightengale hot which paired espresso and Earl Grey tea which was delightful. As I couldn't choose just one drink to try, I had a similar challenge choosing just one bake - and tried both a chocolate chip scone and a cinnamon pastry. The scone was nice appropriately crumbly without being dry and a nice crunch of sugar on top, while the cinnamon pastry has lots of nice thin dough layers and easy pull apart design. Fun and friendly staff create a nice atmosphere where even the other customers are friendly and upbeat.

One of those places where the first time you go, you know it won’t be the last. Creative and unique drinks and toasts. My favorite is the dirty horchata and the yuzu ricotta toast. They brew St. Frank coffee from SF! My friends love all the tea’s as well and I’m pretty sure it’s Asian owned!

Good place to stop for a speciality coffee to treat yourself. Maybe not my every day spot but also that’s unfair because I’m more of an espresso on ice person. We tried a couple from their very clever menu. I enjoyed that they were all named after birds. I liked that the flavors were complex. I could definitely taste the earl grey and espresso. Their merchandise is also beautiful. I would stop in for a gift next time I was shopping for a coffee loving friend.

Our favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. Excellent coffee and baked goods. Also, usually they play interesting, non commercial music - I heard English 'Garage' one morning. And the staff is always pleasant. My only feedback is that I wish they'd open another Branch, no pun intended, to be able to accommodate more indoor seating. Otherwise, Wonderful coffee shop!

I stopped at Bird & Branch for an espresso after dinner. Decoration was spot on and they had merchandise for sale. The staff were friendly and although it was a busy I didn’t wait long for my order. The espresso tasted really well, nice crema, lingering aftertaste, sweet and round. I had a good experience and I want to visit them again to try something else.

We got the blueberry, and the seasonal drink called the parakeet both tasted great. The biggest plus is that the drinks were served at exactly the right temperature to drink right away!

It’s ok for a quick coffee. Nice atmosphere. But for the taste there are better options nearby imo. I’ve tried espresso and filter, both were just OK.

Stopped in here for a quick drink to takeaway. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend the signature drinks. Both drinks we tried were delicious. I would definitely want to stop in again when in the area. Convenient and better than average.

Loved this little coffee shop. The ginger molasses bread was freakin delicious…had to look up a recipe to make at home just so I can taste it again. No bathroom, but otherwise a good spot for having a coffee & getting some work done!

We tried bird and branch for their special macadamia milk coffee as well as nightingale latte. Different and good. I still prefer my regular milk coffees but this was a nice change to try something new.

This Bird & Branch location is convenient for theater goers. It is a small, neat and friendly place. Their simple menu can satisfy most coffee drinkers or tea drinkers. Their egg sandwich with Cantonese scallion oil is delicious.

I have been coming here for years and love Bird and Branch! They have inventive coffee drinks. Fun pastries (peanut butter cookie is a fav). They put so much effort into being sustainable (it’s amazing!) and are consistently kind. You really feel the love and intentionality from the owners. The best!!!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city or anywhere else for that matter. Any of their drinks with their in-house made almond macadamia nut milk is outstanding!

One of my favorite coffee shops in NYC. They use St Frank's coffee beans which is amazing! Tried their black sesame square, which is like a brownie without chocolate. Very tasty! Great place to meet up and chat, but it is a little loud to work out of.

I loved their egg sandwich. Tasted unique and delicious. The blackbird drink had a strong blackberry taste. It was different, but I wasn’t a huge fan of it. It’s made out of blackberry, thyme and their home made almond macadamia milk!

Lovely coffee shop in Hell’s Kitchen that makes excellent espresso-based coffee drinks (hot & iced) and has an interesting seasonal menu. Indoor and outdoor seating, and there’s wifi which is great if you want to get some work done.

Love the bird theme. As a person who drinks plant based milks, there in house made Almond Macadamia nut milk is amazing. I have never come across a place that makes their own, especially in Hell's Kitchen. If I'm mistaken, please prove me wrong, I'd love to find more spots. The unique specialty coffee drinks are exceptional. The staff is efficient, engaged, and knowledgeable. It does get busy, but it's worth the wait. Limited indoor seating, but more outfront that remains since the pandemic. More of a seating deck then a shelter. Great spot. Lil oasis in the busyness of Hell's Kitchen.

Irrespective of the failed latte art, delicious and very creamy flat white with homemade almond and macadamia nut milk (the only alternative milk they provide). The coffee has citrusy undertones (prefer chocolate and nut) so I would have preferred it with soya milk instead. The service was nice. A little bit expensive. Good Wi-Fi. I couldn’t see a toilet.

This is a place for a caffeine fanatic to crash. The espresso is quite fresh and the pasteries looks good too.

I had a signature latte and it was really good. I felt some special teste(cinnamon or something like light spice thing) from the latte.

Cute little place to stay if you’re waiting for friends or in line for the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. I had a special drink that has black sesame in espresso (forgot the name😜). It is so special and taste good!
