Stopped by for an early morning bagel while visiting New York City. It was crowded and seemed chaotic at first, but wasn't bad once you figure out the system. As soon as you walk in, there will probably be people standing around the left counter. However, walk past them and go to the counter and line on the right. You'll see all the bagels and spreads and people behind the counter, but you place your order at the register further down the line. Once you pay at the last register, you're now back at the crowd by the door waiting for their order. As far as the bagel, ordered a sesame bagel with Sun-Dried Tomato spread. It took about 15 minutes for my number to be called. You can definitely tell these hand rolled bagels are baked fresh onsite. Bagel is much larger and has more spread than your average bagel. The Sun-Dried Tomato spread was thick and flavorful, but didn't takeaway the taste of the actual bagel. I'll come back again to try some other spreads and the Breakfast Bagel Sandwich.

I came here through a recommendation from a co-worker since they know that I appreciate a good bagel, and this place truly doesn't disappoint. They have a fantastic assortment of freshly made bagels that are done on the premises, and they have a wide variety of different flavored cream cheeses. I came here four days in a row to sample some of the different flavors, and everything was great! They have an extensive menu of hot and cold items, and everything is reasonably priced. The service can be a tad slow depending on what time you go, that is because it seems like this place is always booming with orders. The cashiers are friendly and the place is very clean. This is one of the best places to go that is outside of Brooklyn. Definitely recommend!

The busy and crowded bagel & coffee shop with a quick service. We came here for a late breakfast around 10 AM, and the place was still crowded. They provide so many variant of sweet and savory bagels, either the specialty or DIY. Variant of coffee, drinks, pastries, muffins, yogurt parfait, and desserts are also available. Mostly, people come here for to go, but they do have some tables and chairs inside and outside. We tried their Jalapeño bagel that is filled with cream cheese, egg, and bacon. The Jalapeño taste isn't that strong and not spicy at all. The cream cheese is abundant, but not until "explode" when we bite the bagel. Overall, the taste is not bad, but I can't say that this is the best one. It may be overrated. Perhaps the name "Best Bagel & Coffee" makes them in the top list during the search? 😄 Well, I don't know. But it's better to explore more flavors to find the best one!

We waited in line for a while to get in because it was a very popular location. It was totally worth every minute we waited! They live up to their name of best bagel. It was all reasonably priced. The coffee was great too and so was the cream cheese pastry we tried. Would definitely go back!

This place is a most! The smoked salmon bagel was my favorite, there’s always a lot of people so you’ll have to wait a few minutes, just a few tables so it’s har to find one to eat there. The bagels are huge so you can definitely share.

Great bagels! Very fluffy and fresh. The egg bagel is the best I have had so far in NYC - fluffy and didn’t have an overpowering egg/grease flavor. The prices are expensive but reasonable compared to other NYC bagels. They are very efficient, you order at one place and then pay down the line. Only a few tables inside and with was crowded, so may be hard to eat at the actual store. Will be back!

I went to Best Bagel Coffee, and I was impressed. As a bagel lover, I decided to try this option, and it was undoubtedly the best decision. The place is quite small, with around 6-7 tables inside and two small ones outside. Due to its popularity and the quality of the bagels, the place is usually busy, so taking your order to go and enjoying it elsewhere might be the best option if you don’t want to wait for a table. Although, if you’re patient, waiting for one of the few vacant tables might be worthwhile. I loved the originality of the place, especially how they have their menus hanging from the ceiling. They offer a wide variety of bagels with different cream cheese flavors, and all their ingredients look incredibly fresh. The day I visited with my family, we tried bagels of various flavors and truly loved them. I highly recommend this place, 100% for both locals and visitors in New York. It’s undoubtedly a must-stop to savor these delicious, fresh, hot bagels with incredibly tasty cream cheese.

Best bagel in the neighborhood. I always make time to stop here pre Penn Station train ride. Bagels are baked in premise. Service is fast and organized. Friendly staff. They're expanded menu will hit all your coffee, bagel and sandwich cravings. I really like that they have a small comfy seating area, which is hard to find int typical bagel shops. Highly recommend!

The line is long, but the food service is fast. The process of ordering, paying, and serving is efficiently divided, making it very convenient. The staff taking orders are also very attentive. The bagels are tasty, and the cream cheese and salmon are quite delicious too.

Is this the best bagel and coffee? Well, it just might be! I couldn't have asked for anything more. The bagel breakfast sandwich was cheesy and delicious. My iced coffee was flavorful and very yummy. Definitely make the time to stop in and enjoy a nice sandwich and coffee. Great staff too, very friendly!

great bagels to the point where I came back twice. onion bagel with regular cream cheese and smoked salmon: so tasty with the onion and they piled on the salmon! the smoked salmon was really tasty and good quality. jalapeno everything bagel with regular cream cheese: loved that they infused the bagel with jalapeno flavor! everything seasoning wasn't too overwhelming and paired perfectly! garlic bagel: loved the nicely fried garlic on top of the bagel! Overall, bagels were super fully and tasted the best when toasted/warm. cream cheese was nicely whipped and perfect with the bagel.

Keepin it real out here in Midtown at the very Best Bagel & Coffee Definitely some quality bagels, got breakfast from there couple of times there already and hasn't disappoint. This time the toasted bagel is a bit too toasty for what i'm used to but still very warm and fresh. Location is great, great job with their "recent" renovation as well, and seems to be thriving before, during and post covid, will visit again no doubt.

I’ll start by saying my boyfriend doesn’t like bagels and he NEVER eats bagels, but we came here because I wanted to try them and he loved them, he finished his whole sandwich. He had chicken chipotle in an everything bagel which was fresh, crunchy and hot. I had the salmon with garlic cream cheese in an everything bagel and it was a 9/10. It was very good overall. It’s worth the line.

Got 3 types of bagels and a coffee. Another overhyped, semi overpriced place in New York. Probably one of the most average bagels I’ve had. Service was terrible. This business needs to figure out a better queueing system and put the menus on a large screen up front so people can have the time to see it and think. Jalapeño was definitely not jalapeño, just green.

First, the bagels are MASSIVE. So if you get one, you can easily split them with one other person and get full. They’re definitely very filling and pretty good. Pictured is the lox with scallion cream cheese and the Mexican bagel (egg white, avocado, and salsa). The bagel is good but a bit too chewy for my personal taste. To me, the perfect bagel is crunchy and also soft and just thick enough to hold everything. I think tourists have hyped this place up just a tad too much. I think 3.5 stars would be perfect for this place.

Guys, they genuinely do have the best bagels. The blueberry bagel and strawberry cream cheese for breakfast was excellent, despite my lack of sweet tooth. Furthermore, the salmon bagel was incredibly filled with it and could not have been better. The only downside is that place gets cramped in the morning, so a few more places to sit would be really appreciated.

A lot of choices from bagels. I got hot chocolate and everything jalapeño toasted bagels pastrami. Jalapeño is green color not thing jalapeño in there to make bagels spicy like everything bagels regular just head up if you have same like my order. I got some togo home to try something special from NYC. Is busy when I get here in the morning. People get line to get breakfast before head to work. NYC is place when you walk you eye not get boring. I love it the busy way it is.

Best Bagel & Coffee truly lives up to its name. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Turkey Egg and Cheese sandwich, and let me tell you, it was so delicious. The bagel itself was perfectly toasted, boasting that ideal combination of chewiness and crispness that every bagel aficionado craves. The generous serving of turkey was juicy and flavorful, complemented by the creamy richness of the cheese and the fluffy goodness of the egg. Each bite was a symphony of savory flavors and satisfying textures. I highly recommend Best Bagel & Coffee to anyone visiting New York. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this establishment is a must-visit for a true taste of the city's culinary excellence. From their delectable bagels to their mouthwatering sandwiches, every item on their menu is a testament to their commitment to quality and flavor. Don't miss out on the opportunity to savor the magic of Best Bagel & Coffee."

Stopped by Best Bagel & Coffee for a quick bite. Tried the Everything jalapeño bagel with cream cheese (yep, it's the green one in the pic), an Everything bagel with lox cream cheese, and a Cinnamon Raisin bagel with cinnamon raisin walnut cream cheese. They were pretty decent - nice flavors and a solid bagel experience. If you're around and craving a bagel, it does the job.

It's my morning ritual to always come here for my breakfast sandwich. Their bagels (and other options muffins, croissant, etc...) are made fresh daily. They are open bright an early so for all the tourist looking for a perfect morning spot please come here you will not be disappointed. Don't let the price deter you from coming your getting what you pay for with quality ingredients and freshness.

YUM! We came here for a quick breakfast both days while we stayed in Times Square. Egg bagels from New York are the BEST! Tofu cream cheese with veggies was excellent, but the egg and cheese was even better. Vanilla cold brew with dairy free milk was the perfect start to the day as well. Try it out!

The BEC bagel sandwich was underwhelming. The bagel itself was good but the sando tasted unseasoned. The smoked salmon bagel was good but had way too much in it to eat in a comfortable manner. It was also too salty which surprised me after having the bacon egg and cheese. The real highlight was the cinnamon raisin bagel with blueberry spread. But even still they must’ve used a dirty knife because I got a huge bite of garlic and onion taste. (I also ate this bagel much later than trying the others). 3.5 stars.

These bagels were pretty good. I bet they have other bagels that taste better then what I got... I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter and jelly. There was way too much peanut butter on it. I'm thinking I should of gone for a classic everything bagel with cream cheese and that would have been a 5/5. There was a line but it went by quick. Also took a to go mango /orange juice and it was so good. The bagel was nice and warm. I'm thinking of going back and trying a different bagel style or sandwich!

Great bagel place, very crowded but worth a wait to get the bagel. We tried their everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and the same with cheddar cheese and egg. Love their collection of bagels and cream cheese. I must say it’s an authentic bagel place as they bake everything on premises, you can see their staff baking it while placing the order, a must visit in NYC!

Superb bagel factory one of the best in NYC. First time and not disappointed. Sumptuous filling and very generous with the portions. I had the smoked Atlantic salmon on cinnamon raisin bagel with generous cream cheese toppings, onions, avocados and scrambled egg. Superbly delicious.

Today was our lucky day, only three people in line when I got here. Last four times I came the line was out the door. Great bagels. I had the ET slammed with smoked salmon cream cheese onions and capers. Taking a dozen back home to Atlanta.

Phenomenal bagels done New York style. Always get the bagel sandwich when there and am never disappointed. Bagels are crispy on outside and soft on inside. Flavors are delicious and worth the wait as there is usually one. Omelette was decent and home fries were nothing special but still decent. Great place to get breakfast!

Fantastic experience here, was told to go here by numerous people and was not disappointed at all. Had a beautiful breakfast bagel, toasted and ate outside at one of the smaller tables. Would have been nice to get a table inside but the place is that busy it’s hard to snag a table. Very good vibes inside, the popular bagels are pictured hanging from the ceiling inside and gives a pretty cool, unique feel. Full turkey crowns, hams and other meats are seen in the fridges as well so you can see exactly what you are getting! Brilliant!

It's a bold move when you call yourself 'Best' - but Best Bagel & Coffee lives up to the hype! I'd recommend going at off-peak hours to enjoy a more relaxed experience, but if you're someone that waits in line - they're quite efficient and know what they're doing, you won't be there too long. There are a ridiculous amount of options, and anything you order - they don't leave you feeling like they've sacrificed portions for the low price they offer. Pictured is the ham on everything bagel. Incredibly filling, hot, fresh, and a well-oiled machine when it comes to getting through the line. Highly recommend - would give more stars if I could.

I stumbled upon this beagle shop, and oh boy, it's a beagle lover's paradise! The beagles are not only adorable but also packed with flavor. The staff is super friendly, but fair warning, they're always busy, so they're direct to the point. If you're looking to sit and eat, it might not be the ideal spot, but the beagles make it totally worth it!

Fast and efficient, despite how busy it was I didn't wait to order, and the food came up quick. Somewhat lacking in experience all the same. I was looking for a slightly more personal touch with some authentic NY-Bagel personality. Bagels were decent, and whilst I'd not call myself an expert I feel I've had comparable maybe even better back home in Solly's Bagels in Vancouver.

It was OK but not special. I liked strawberry cream cheese bagel and walnut cream cheese bagel but egg and cheese bagel wasn't the best. Their fresh orange juice was worth it. Their brewed coffee wasn't tasty, try coffee latte instead. Seats were so limited (see photos). Outside has only 3 tables and 7 chairs total. Most of the staffs were friendly. If I want to try another bagel I will not come back here.

I thought it might be a tourist trap with mediocre bagels, considering where it was, but it actually tasted really really good. The sandwich were HEFTY and will definitely satisfy. I had the Italian on garlic bagel, which I can firmly recommend. The Grand Canyon (chicken cutlets) and tuna melt also looked amazing, so I think I'll come back for those sometime.

My first time in New York. I had to try a bagel. It is one of the many things the state is known for. The shop was well organized even though it was busy. All the staff was very nice and informative. The bagels were soo delicious! I wish I bought more than two. I had the Bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and a plan bagel with cream cheese. They were crispy yet chewy on the inside and were tosted and made to order. I hope to go back to new york and experience that again!

  • 4/5 Matt and Jaime G. 2 years ago on Google
The Bagels themselves were good. I had the salmon bagel bust it was very mushy and put loads of cream cheese. They give a good portion of salmon and capers are almost $1 extra. The bacon egg and cheese my husband had he said was great but with they would've put a fried egg on the sandwich (not scrambled) the cold brew wasn't very tasty so I'd probably skip that all together next time. I would come back but my rating is like between 3.5 and 4 star. I'd probably just get the bagle with cream cheese only the are big and doughy. We had the everything bagel.

  • 5/5 Eddie H. 2 years ago on Google
Yes, this place indeed has the best bagel I've tasted. We frequently order blueberry bagels from other locations, but establishment has raised the standard of what blueberry bagels should taste like in my book. The bagel was fresh and very flavorful. And the size of the bagels are huge! I'm from out of town, but this place will be one of the first stops when I'm back in Manhattan.

  • 5/5 Caleb R. 2 years ago on Google
Other reviews talking about these bagels being fockin huge aren't kidding, these the biggest NY bagels I ever seen in my life. But, they're really good. Chewy and great texture, not doughy or dry or anything, not floury. Just good bagels. I had a lox and cream cheese sandwich, all good, just wish you could get better tomatoes in NY. I also had a strawberry spread on cinnamon raisin later in the day (i basically only eat bagels when in NYC) both of which were good. So at minimum, their egg, everything, and cinnamon raisin bagels are great.

  • 3/5 Rachel R. 2 years ago on Google
Average bagel. They got my order wrong, and then gave 7 people their orders before I had to ask them again for my order. (They forgot to remake my order.) They we’re nice about it, but this wasn’t a 5 star experience. Also, if you get cream cheese on your bagel, expect that there’s half the Philadelphia block on your bagel.

  • 4/5 Chulwon L. 2 years ago on Google
Really good bagels and bagel sandwiches! Their bagel is chewy and tasty. The lox sandwich was also great. Perfect for breakfast!
