We visited Yanni’s Coffee randomly on our way to Chelsea and were appealed by the crowd. The decor is simple and artsy with lots of greens and cozy ambiance. They use coffee from SEY and their pastries are from Balthazar. Both stores were two of my favorites and the best brands in NYC. We got their handmade Chocolate Chip Cookie as an afternoon dessert and it was really good, soft & not too sweet. They also serve Oatmeal & Vegan Chocolate Chip and we would like to try next time.

Cute, little Chelsea coffee shop. Not a lot of seating. Good espresso drinks and pastries. No bathroom available, and they really don't like you to ask! 🙄

Really cute coffee spot, had a delicious cappuccino. Quick service with great coffee beans and nice folks. Coffee was also super reasonably priced. Want to try the cookies next time which also looked great

5 directly to the cookie!🍪 stoped by for some sweets and their cookies were amazing! Crunchy outside and soft inside with melting chocolate. The walnut balanced the sweetness and made the cookie perrrrfect!

The best chocolate chip cookies in town!! They come with or without walnuts! The cookies are priced fairly. It's worth the money and time to get into this small shop. Give yourself a treat that won't disappoint. *UPDATE* NOVEMBER 23RD 2023 * The excellence continues at Yanni's Coffee. Busy, dog friendly, and outstanding staff. The only change is a slight price hike on the cookies. With this horrible economy we are all living in, it's to be expected. What more could you ask for. Just go and support this great little shop. They continue to earn it by providing quality coffee and those fabulous cookies we can't do without every time we visit New York. A must.

Impeccable interior, cool baristas, wonderful coffee, and a great cookie. Not much more you can ask for in a quick caffeine stop.

Warmly modern cafe serving Sey's coffee - the washed Ethiopia on drip was exactly what I was looking for! Monkey bread was also great, would definitely stop here again if nearby.

Came here with a friend and our dogs to grab a coffee and cookie. Cute little place, friendly service, cappuccino was stellar, and the white chocolate oatmeal cookie was great. Benches outside to drink coffee, and small seating area on the inside. Would definitely stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood!

It is a very nice place in newyork city It provides very good service to customers and also the nice music that they play in the place makes you forget the difficulty of your day a lot. They have crazy and very tasty coffee. The people there are very good and nice also. If you are sad and tired, you only have to go to this wonderful place that is located in New York City to fix your mood with a cup of coffee or Espresso or cappuccino and some of the delicious desserts

Small but great little coffee shop. Very limited seating (window only) and fast service - good place to grab a flat white takeaway.

I don’t write reviews usually but in this case, I would like to make it because coffee that I have tried from this place was very delicious tasty and smooth. I tried pretty much coffee drinks from different place and not from only New York City or the US in general, and because I consider my compare pretty fair, and I also recommend to everyone to visit this place.

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I do love the pastries here at Yanni's. I'm around this area daily and have gone to Birch and Think - Birch has OK pastries. They're fine but if you aren't in the mood for anything sweet, you're out of luck. I've gotten a scone from Think a couple times and every time the scone was dry- like i was eating sandpaper. I had to ask for butter the other day. Every time I've been to Yanni's the pastries taste fresh and flaky. I particularly enjoy the chili cheese croissant and will have to try the cookies next. Also the staff members are nice! 🥐👌

A small café with very cozy vibes and friendly service, but with inconsistent quality for coffee and pastries. Good Americano, but quite watered down and weak espresso. Almond croissant is slight dry on the tip, but with pretty crusty texture and aromatic almond paste for the body. Chocolate chip cookie is super rich but very lumpy, probably is underbaked by a few minutes.

You know a cafe is good when the menu is simple. And it is - G O O D - as hell. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk that was perfect. They also have an assortment of pastries that looked delicious. Croissants, monkey bread, and cookies. The latter of which had a vegan option. Definitely recommended!!

This is our spot. They remember us and our orders and the coffee is excellent, it is a milder and more smooth blend. Also, their baked goods are really a step up from the usual.

Most frothy Matcha ever , lucky me … I actually am obsessed with the frothy topping on a hot drink so this Matcha with oat milk and vanilla was delicious. However the baristas were giggling during and after my order. I’m SO not a Debbie downer, but it did make me feel a little awkward (maybe I just wanted to be in on the joke)

Lovely coffee spot, my coworker introduced me to this place. I'm a cappuccino type of guy, and it is made just right for the hot summer days (on ice) and for the cold winter months. My go to when I'm in the office.

hands down, my fave cookie (chocolate chip AND oatmeal types) destination of all of nyc. i have had more than my fair share of nyc’s most coveted cookies — and this one tops them all imho. the staff is always friendly too! also, i have been there at various times of the day — and they have always had a supply of (usually warm!!) cookies available.

Great coffee, but even better staff. The manager, Kyle, is awesome and handled a confrontation with an aggressive homeless man who was making the other customers uncomfortable really well. Highly recommend.

Amazing espresso and a very good Oatmeal Withe Chocolate Chips Cookie. Place is cool and barista even more. Very nice and polite. I will go back there for sure.

Great Great place. Immediately right when you enter the smell of thr coffee Let's you know the authenticity and the richness of thr beans they use. It has a simicity to it yet so profound in that it's perfectly Unique and am. In shocked this has. Not be tried before in this neighborhood. The customers are chic and quiet and the owners and staff are at your service accommodating anything and everything you ask for. Great job great facade great materials used and excellent focal Point of thr bar/register /serving table. Excellent job and the service just brings it up a notch. I wish you success and good fortune. Your buisness idea is perfect we Americans are addicted ToCoffee so you will always be able To Sell a cup and a cookie in the side😊

Just went here and ordered a cappuccino to go. While waiting for my order I overheard baristas discussing that they accidentally made latte instead. But after that they just gave me that latte claiming it was a cappuccino. I complained that it was not - and they admitted but continued to aggressively insist that latte and cappuccino are absolutely the same, the only difference is in the name (despite them being priced differently (sic!)). And that I should just take whatever they made for me... Honestly shocked by this - I can't remember if I had such an experience before. Unfortunately as with all such places I already tipped them during the checkout.

Their Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie is in the running for best cookie of the city. Sey coffee is brewed very well, baristas are alert and knowledgeable, all-around excellent spot.

I was one of Yanni’s earliest customers when he opened a few years ago. He still serves the best, smoothest cup of coffee in Chelsea. If you’re heading to the Village you can just hang out people watching. His soft, fresh baked cookies are a favorite of all his neighbors and anyone passing. Oh and do not miss the breakfast goodies - all freshly baked. Still going strong, still my fav.

Bomb. All I can say. Portions are more European also which I wish existed more around the city. Pastries are on point also.

With the disappearance Cafe Grumpy’s Chelsea location, this is easily my new favorite place in the neighborhood for specialty coffee. They serve Sey roasters, which is phenomenal if you love ultra-light roasted, washed coffees. I’m sure they throw some other beans into the mix from time to time, but my impression was that this is their thing at this point. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. When buying beans, they list the farm as well as how much the company paid for green coffee. Talk about transparency! The cost is “not cheap” but completely understandable considering the quality of the product. I had an espresso shot in house that was fruity, bright, and delicious. Overall, I’m a huge fan and will definitely be coming back.

I met a girl on the subway who worked there and told me to drop in because I would be right around the corner. She was awesome and so was everyone in there. Definitely needed that mid day pick me up. It was delicious!

Such a cute coffeeshop I’m Chelsea. I got oat milk latte and it was perfectly made. Loved it. The didn’t have any specialized lattes , only basic syrups.

My favorite local coffee shop. Coffee is great and the staff is friendly. They also have the best gluten free chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had!

Speed and precision are their first and middle names. If they had a surname it would be Stellar. Really hits the mark when you’re walking by the pizza shop and realize you need a little pick me up
