Probably my new favourite place on earth. I’m not a dog owner, but a dog lover, and this place instantly put me in a good mood. I love working while surrounded by dogs. There’s lots of seating and large windows (so it’s nice and bright). Loved their mint cold brew (it’s sweet) and the cinnamon brown sugar latte. They also have super cute dog merch, dog toys, and dog treats. Great for sitting with a laptop to work, not ideal for Zoom calls.

What an absolutely incredible place to hang out if you love dogs. I brought my well behaved pup and my computer and spent the afternoon working from here. They were so welcoming and everyone hanging there was very nice. I started the morning with a coffee and then in the afternoon, I had the gluten-free toast with hummus and roasted tomatoes. Incredibly fresh and flavorful! Looking forward to bringing my dog back!

Overall great concept, good food/drinks, friendly staff and it’s basically Disneyland for my dog. It’s a treat to have in the neighborhood! That said, I highly recommend it on weekday mornings or non-peak times. Weekends are simply a madhouse. It could be so much better if they limited capacity and group size, particularly people without dogs - and thus reduced some of the furniture clutter, which would help the general feeling of crowdedness and chaos. Dog owners should be aware they cater both to dog parents and people without dogs who want free “Japanese cat cafe”-style entertainment. There seems to be little staff enforcement on customers so there ends up being irksome behaviors like: -People grabbing at and even restraining your dog for cuddles without asking. -People sitting/laying on the floor, which encourages jumping up and over-excited dog behavior. Also makes it hard to walk around or get to the ordering counter. -Young children wandering around without parental supervision, grabbing at dogs. Very dangerous and irresponsible, would really prefer if parents took their children to the playground instead. For now we will just try to avoid the chaotic times. I genuinely hope some of these issues are addressed by Boris and Horton in the future, it would make the place so much better and safer for the dogs and dog parents.

They have a little doggy photo booth in the back! Boris & Horton is the perfect place to go to if you are a pet-less New Yorker like myself. They’ve got celebrity dogs, instafamous dogs, dog events…etc you name it. The drinks there are amazing too!

This is the best dog cafe I have ever come across. You can play with the pets, they are allowed to roam around freely. And yet, the place does not smell of dogs. They organize a lot of pet adoptions and other social events. The staff is amicable. This is our go to place over the weekends. Our dog loves it here as much as us.

What an amazing place to eat and drink while playing with doggies. Great selection of coffee, food, beer and doggie treats. B&H also hosts events to adopt rescue dogs. This is such an amazing place for coffee and dog lovers.

They check your vaxx card so be ready with that. The place is divided into the dog and no dog sides. Workers are nice and they have dog donuts, pup cups and more. Both my dogs had a blast.

This dog cafe in the heart of the East Village is awesome. People bring their dogs in to the cafe and hang out (I saw a group of people painting pictures with their dogs while there). The Major drink, named otter Joe Biden’s dog, was delicious as well - a cinnamon flavored drink. Check it out!

So much fun. Dogs are off leash in the eating area and you go to a different area to order. They do breakfast and lunch/dinner with beer and wine. They sell lots of dog toys and have free dog treats in a jar. They also have a gif taking machine you can do with your dog! I went there for comedy night and it was so much fun. It's a very friendly community with sweetheart staff that love your dog.

My friend and I walked by this place and were so glad we did. We ordered coffee from the window on the side, which is a fantastic way to serve during the pandemic. Ordered an Iced drip coffee with almond milk, and it was so smooth! It’s a delightful cafe where they had a cup of treats out for dog owners to take one - the lineup of folks waiting to order all had a dog, all excited, all 100% adorable. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular place.

Very fun place to socialize puppy, staffs super friendly, most dogs are friendly, owners we met so far (visited 5 times) are very responsible, their specialty drinks are all super good, must try their honey butter toast and everything croissant.

Got the spicy mocha and sat on the dog-friendly side. We didn’t come with any dogs since we were just visiting the city but everyone was so nice! They treat it kind of like an indoor dog park. Everyone is very friendly and recalls their pup if it acts out in any way. The mocha was good but I don’t think I would order it again tbh

Boris & Horton is a cute little dog-friendly coffee shop nestled near Tompkins Square. There is a dog-side entrance and another for patrons. I had the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte and my partner had the Cold Brew (on tap). The patio had a nice ambience and the coffee was good. The specialty drink menu definitely has some unique flavours that I wish I could try as well.

Amazing amazing place! Brought my dog to the city for the first time and he had such a good time here! Everyone was so friendly and he got to roam around off leash and meet new friends and get lots of pets. Its very secure with the two door entrance and super cozy. It was pretty busy, but people come and go so finding a spot to sit is just a little bit of a wait!

dog café - what else needs to be said? Boris & Horton has an adorable atmosphere and charming guests of all breeds and sizes. The staff are extremely friendly and keep everything sanitary so they sharing a table with dogs seems like it should be normalized everywhere. They also have a photo booth to make GIFs with friends, and the coffee is great! 10/10

The idea of the dog friendly coffee shop is great. The operation could have been more organized. I took my dog there yesterday. There was not enough seating, not enough signs to tell first-time customer where to order and where to pick up. My dog instantly got nervous by the loud and crowded environment and I had to hold her. The design of the shop is not very easy for me to walk or get in and out. The dog friendly side is basically a chaotic dog park, not recommended for nervous or shy dogs. It will over stimulate them for sure. I like the idea of creating a dog friendly place for both humans and furry friends to hang out. I know the staff members are really nice over there. However, the environment does not provide calm energy and is not friendly for all dogs. Would not recommend it for dog socialization as it may promote some anxiety. As much as I like the idea, I wouldn't take my dog there again.

Walk past this place all the time, I don’t know why it took me so long to take my dog here. Dogs are free to wander and from my visit, they all seemed well socialized. My pupper loved it and couldn’t have enough of the pup cup! The place is so clean and the staff is wonderful. I would wager it’s one of the happiest places in the city. Definitely coming back with my dog.

Popped by for a quick take-away coffee and there was just a great vibe, must’ve been even more so in the seating area surrounded by all the pups!

This café is pet-friendly with reliable WiFi, so you can get work done while petting the dogs with their silky fur. The coffee is delicious. The overall environment is clean, despite being pet-friendly, making it one of my favorite cafes in New York. The only thing to watch out for is that the dog clothes and toys they sell are just too cute, which might lead to accidentally overspending.

We stopped in for a coffee with our dog and greatly enjoyed the environment! There were friendly dogs of all kinds off leash milling about inside the dog friendly half and playing as their owners enjoyed their drinks. (Our pup stayed on his leash, since his recall isn't as good, but other dogs came to say hi, so he was still able to play.) They have a photo booth, with a chest of props next to it for people to take pictures with their dogs. You entered your email and it automatically sent you the photos, which was convenient. A few pups peed a bit and an employee went over each time to clean up. They then made an announcement via the overhead sound system to remind folks to take their dogs outside to go to the bathroom if they hadn't been outside for a while. A perfectly reasonable request. It's a bit chaotic with all the dogs and it was very busy, which made finding seats hard, but it was a great experience overall! And the iced coffee was very refreshing!

I discovered this place a few weeks back - I love it!!! Happiest place on Earth in my opinion (that is, if you love dogs). Great place to grab a coffee, bring your dog, and hangout for a while. This place brings the best out of people - bc the environment with all the cute dogs running around makes you forget about all the stresses in your life. Love it. I only wish that it was bigger and that there were more places like this.

The best coffee and the best service! The cute little server with the stache is always just the sweetest and helps us with our crazy order every. single. time. Anytime I see someone not tip them it breaks my heart. Boris and Horton are so lucky! ❤️ Papa and Coco love it here!!

I absolutely love it here! My dog gets to play with all her furry friends while I enjoy the best food and the best service! The atmosphere is so friendly, and the workers are very kind, professional, and welcoming :) Great attitude. I would recommend to anyone thinking of stepping out of their house

Favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood! I send their treats to my parents dog and he LOVES them. They have some of the best drip coffee I’ve had, and the food and lattes are excellent too. The staff is always friendly and bubbly, and their merch is the best. Love supporting this business!

This place is amazing I’ve been twice and i’m from long island! it’s a great atmosphere, my dog Groovy loves it here and honestly just loves all the attention and pets he gets from the staff and the other dog parents in the cafe. Their Chai is also delicious
