A pleasant atmosphere rooftop bar located in midtown Manhattan. Prices here were fair for the setting. Seating is limited. Views are spectacular. Servers are friendly and attentive. Menu drink selections are somewhat limited however there is a full bar so it's likely many requests can be accommodated. Where this place lost stars is that all drinks are served in acrylic glassware (plastic). In addition, one it becomes night, they refuse to turn on lights (we asked). It made seeing each other difficult as well as navigating through halls inside to find the bathroom. People were using their cell phone flashlight to navigate. Music levels were good, not too loud. The selection was jazz, I'm not sure if that's always what's played. All in all, a nice place and a good place to get a night started or finish, but not a 1 stop.

Beautiful rooftop space, perfect for those Summery nights for a drink, and some fresh air. The staff are always wonderful, and the atmosphere is calm and cool. Can get chilly because you're next to a body of water, so bring a light scarf or sweater! Don't wear a short, flowy dress, unless you wear shorts underneath it.

Cool rooftop lounge, the views are nice as socializing having a great views of the city. The cocktails wise half the the cocktails were really good. Even with the bartender choice if you like a surprise. Having a green house area with seating any blankets, so you don’t have to exactly sit outside when it’s windy/colder at night. Cool spot to check out and meet more mature crowd.

Stopped in for a drink on our way out for the evening. Stunning views, I like a rooftop bar that's not in the middle of the city, you have a nicer vantage point from 11th. The drinks menu was extensive and the two we got were delicious.

We were finally able have our wedding dinner at the Press Lounge, and it was absolutely amazing! They have been working with us for almost 3 years, been so flexible and helpful rescheduling due to COVID. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make this day very special. The venue has breathtaking views, the food was great, and people are still talking about the incredible wedding cake. We will definitely come back to celebrate anniversaries 😊

Very nice lounge with scenic views of nyc. Nice pool in the middle. Very open space . Loved that it wasn't crowded. There is one Fire place. Different style of seats you can sit and enjoy the view in. Both indoor and outdoor rooftop views. Beautiful interior and exterior with great ambience and atmosphere. Not enough food options. Drinks are very expensive. Loved the espresso martini!

Ranked as one of the best rooftops in NYC and even in the world, this place holds that reputation proudly. Visited it several time, friendly staff, excellent service, very classy. Lots of seating options and apportinity for spectacular photos. No coverage to enter and open to public. Would recommend to go around sun set time.

I went here just to see the rooftop and the view of Manhattan, i had no drink so I can’t judge for the food and service point of view. But the Press Lounge i have to admit that is something of amazing!!! The photos are not able the give you the feeling as if you were here, seeing it with your own eyes…..so you must have to visit it!!!

It is a beautiful rooftop bar. The service is good, and the cocktails are excellent. To book a table, they require a $50 per person deposit. You cannot use the deposit to pay taxes and tips. I found this formula pretty annoying.

Awesome “rooftop” bar. Great drinks too but on the pricey side even for NYC ($14 for beers, $21 for cocktails). Has an amazing view and covered outdoor seating. Most people wear suits and dresses here but they won’t deny you if you wear jeans and button down like me! No cover when we went (maybe cause it was a Thurs? I read in other reviews that there was a cover). Get the Evil Twins orange cream drink if you go here, it was delicious and totally worth.

Best rooftop lounge with an amazing view, drinks were great. Love atmosphere and the setting, nice sitting lounge inside by the bar as soon as you walked in. It was impressive, as soon as you walked outside, the whole rooftop space was camera worthy, breathtaking and I can't stop talking pics. I stayed for sometimes because I really enjoyed it. I visited a few other rooftop lounge and I didn't even stay because of the setting and the view was nothing to compare. Will come back again!

Amazing view of the city and great service! Only downside is the poor cocktails. Probably one of the worst $20 old fashioned I’ve ever had.

I don’t usually go out to rooftop drinking areas - pandemic or not - but went today with a dear friend. Absolutely loved this place - the views, the vibe, the energy were all great. It was a picture-perfect day, so we took a lot of them. There’s minimal food available, but what they have is very good. Try the hot pretzel with the cream cheese mustard and the meats and cheese board. Hummus platter is good, too. NOTE: Read the fine print in the screenshot I’ve attached. It’s 21 and over only. You book through Resy and they charge $50 per person in advance, non-refundable. The $50pp goes toward your drinks and food, but not taxes or tip. ie, We spent $100 for two spots; and ordered $88 in food and drink. The remaining $12 didn’t count toward tax or tip - it just gets swallowed by the system. So we paid $8ish is taxes separately and then a $25ish tip. Was worth it for the rare night out like this.

Such beautiful views here of the city and the Hudson River. The vibe is good, with upbeat music. Crowded on a Saturday evening, yet fun. The lovely lighted rooftop pool is surrounded by a seating wall and provides romantic lighting, second only to the views of the city. Service is slow, and it's hard to get served at the bar. Bathrooms are upstairs. It's a terrific option for a fun night out or a nightcap after a show.

I was overwhelmed with joy from the minute I got there the whole staff from the beginning to end was so professional attending to all of our needs it was great. I haven't had octopus in 38 years and it was the best is best I've been talking about it all weekend. I felt like I was at home with family that's how they treated me and my guest. Thank you so much staff at the press lounge.

Elegant Rooftop Bar with an incredible view. The menu (drinks) offers selected cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails as well as beer and wine. It is a small range but therefor the quality of the drinks is high. Tasteful and appealingly presented they cover rather uncommon flavors. Service staff is friendly, elegant and swift but never posh or condescending. With the balcony running west-east one can see both, the skyscrapers of midtown NYC or the Hudson River. At any time one feels to be a guest in a high class cocktail bar but equally it is relaxed and fuzz free. (I didn‘t have food upon my visit hence no comment about it…)

Truly stunning and no words can do this view justice. Highly recommend an advanced reservation and select a table outside. Don't fear the minimum as you will spend with ease and it is worth every penny. The vibe is electric and worthy of being matched with the view and landscape. This is IMHO the best possible combination of everything you could want for an evening with your significant other. Plan on using the full 90 minutes and don't be in a rush.

Perched atop the Ink 48 hotel lies the best rooftop in Manhattan hands down. It’s situated against the Hudson River in Hell’s Kitchen thereby affording an unobstructed, bucolic view of midtown Manhattan, the Hudson and NJ. Unlike many Manhattan rooftops I’ve never felt packed like sardines here. The vibe is upscale casual but it’s not pretentious - classy. Service is usually pretty good. Drinks are good but on pricier side but consider it the price for experiencing the view. I would call ahead because sometimes they shut down the roof for exclusive corporate events. One can go here in Winter but this place really shines in Summer. Perfect for a date night, grabbing a drink with a client or friend or a small group of friends. 11/10 recommend.

Amazing views and nice vibe. Went on a Tuesday night, so it was a bit quiet. One of the servers accidentally took our drinks away, bartender quickly gave us another. Overall good experience.

The place is really nice and chill, beautiful view of the city. However, I can only give 3 stars for the drinks. Lovely decoration, but not good quality

Nice rooftop bar (16th floor). Night views of NYC are very nice despite the lower floor and though it was busy there was plenty of room to sit. Staff was pleasant and drinks were new York prices.

View: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service (Bar): ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The views of midtown Manhattan from the roof is nice. I always take friends and family who are visiting NYC to see the view from here. Overall, a good place to visit but not stay for a long time because the prices are outrageously high for the area. On this visit, we jusr had drinks. Plus, the bartenders are not as attentive even when they're not that busy. They used to have strict rules about dress code and reservations but since the pandemic, the bouncers downstairs have changed and their much nicer and accommodating. It's one of those places you go and see the view - maybe get a drink or two then leave. Visit: 9/28/22

Since the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller was closed, The Press Lounge was my next best choice. We were trying to celebrate a wedding anniversary dinner and we wanted a great view of New York to make it special. This place definitely had a great view. The atmosphere was warm, private, and classy. If your intention is to hunker down and wolf down a big meal, this is not the place for that. Thankfully, they have a proper restaurant below for people who would rather have a proper meal than filling up their bellies with cocktails.

I'm hesitant to write a good review in fears that more people will flock to The Press Lounge and ruin its wonderful low-key vibe. This lounge has quite possibly the best views of midtown (short of 30 rock) in all of Manhattan. The drinks, while not cheap by any stretch, are strong (3 was plenty) and flavorful and have seasonal ingredients. The food was good - probably the best soft pretzel I've ever had. The altitude provides a wonderful cross breeze, and in the winter, heavy blankets are provided on the couches. This is the absolutely perfect spot to take a date, or even host a party. This is one of my favorite places in all of Manhattan. A visit here will show you why.

Went to a corporate event hosted by Dell and Intel. Thank you for hosting your clients it was very refreshing to see your reps face to face. Event staff members were super attentive, food was very good my favorites were veggie rolls, brownie, some fried balls appetizers yum. However the views of the Hudson were breath taking look at pictures and judge for yourself. Wow

This place offers absolutely incredible views of the city with an almost 360° patio and outdoor seating area that is incredible! That being said.... the line to get in was obnoxiously long.. that is understandable to a point. The girl who took us upstairs was amazing and sweet. The lounge is everything you'd expect however the prices are beyond overpriced and the quality of the drinks are absolutely terrible. I don't mind paying extra for a drink when it is good. Ordered a Manhattan, 4 green tea shots and a whiskey sour... not sure how you mess that up but service was very disappointing. Guess quality is not as important when you offer views like that in the big city.

DO NOT VISIT. I would’ve personally rate zero stars or less. I went to this establishment with family and friends during New Year’s Eve. Near the end of our stay we were accosted by employees and staff, and they refused to give us back the clothing and stuff that we had checked in at coat check earlier that night. I was then grabbed and assaulted by one of your staff. After I had asked him to stop touching me, and he ripped out handfuls of hair and threw me to the ground. I’ve sent and email requesting a refund for the worst experience ever. And I haven’t got any reply from them. I did not pay almost 300 dollars to be discriminated and harmed by anyone. If you keep reading some comments you’ll notice a pattern of violence and rudeness from the staff. So make you self a favor DO NOT VISIT THIS LOUNGE. I attached my hair where you can clearly see it’s ripped off from the scalp. You can also see how the woman felt bad cause they saw how he grabbed me from the hair. They even said Sorry.
