Really beautiful park right along the East River! Easy to park late afternoon and later that evening on a Saturday. So many people playing in the park, walking dogs and running by the water. Quick walk to some great restaurants and a nice spots to grab a drink. Definitely recommend for a long walk and to watch the sunset!

Not only one of the best views of Queens, but also super clean and safe. My son loves playing at the playground here and our dog loves chasing the squirrels. Great family park for everyone.

This is one of my favorite New York City destinations. Beautiful park by the river with two stunning bridges and a waterside promenade along with a very relaxed vibe. The swimming pool is a fantastic place for outdoor lap swimming in summer. One of New York’s best.

This is one of my favorite parks in all of NYC. Its a pretty small park but also big enough to do a plethora of activities, people watch, admire the Hells Gate and Tribrough Bridge and the awesome neighborhood of Astoria. What I love about this park compared to many of the other parks in NYC is that this park feels like the neighborhood park. Sure, there's going to be people visiting from elsewhere but I've come to this park many times and encountered the same group of people who are usually there, greeting each other and knowing the other people from the surrounding area. It feels very unique compared to other NYC parks. Beautiful park in a very quaint, charming area of Astoria! Sure, its not Central Park in how grand it is but its a park that feels much more local than most other big city parks in NYC! Highly recommend checking out if you are living or staying in the area!

This is basically the "Central Park" of Astoria. It is a large park that features a variety of activities (more so during the Summer months). There are large sections of grass to sit on and relax. You can walk along the water and watch all the boats go by. In the Summer, you can enjoy movies in the park and the yearly fair. There is also an Olympic sized swimming pool, tennis courts, a playground, and a running track.

This park has changed so much since 2003. Shore Blvd has some great views of the city and is especially beautiful at night. The park is pretty popular, so the lot fills up quickly. The track is in great condition and lit up well in case you want do go at night. The fields are nice to go picnic when the weather fits in.

Best place ever. Me and my lovely girlfriend love to go here and walk around with or without the dog sometimes have a little picnic. There are bodegas and restruants all around the area and it you go in the evening you will run into a nice couple selling slammin nutcrackers for 9 bucks. All different favors. Amazing views and beautiful area.

Astoria park is a great place for anyone to go to. Whether to lay out and tan, read a book, bring your dog or children, friends and family get togethers — or bike / run / walk the trails . There’s running tracks, and soccer fields — you name it. Plus the view looking into Manhattan is nice too !

We come to this park pretty often after work hours to catch sunset and just go for a stroll around the park with our dog 🐾. You can see the gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline. The park is big and there are many things to do around; tennis court, dog park, running track etc and lots of benches to just sit and relax between a long walk. We really do enjoy coming to this park.

I live right next to the park. Its a beautiful place. Great views to the city, amazing sunsets and it has everything you need. The playground is big a d clean. There are enough benches to take a sun bath or just relax while watching the squirrels chasing. I cant wait for summer 2024 again when the pool gets reopend.

This is one of my favorite parks to visit while in NY, the scenery is beautiful. You get a great view of the water and the bridge while you’re on a walk. There’s multiple parks that kids can play and ride bikes. And they have a track you can walk as well as many other trails. Lots of bikers, and dog walkers come here. Overall a beautiful park to visit with family

The view of a lifetime, stunning. Astoria park is like the most relaxing place ever. One of the largest in the city, home to a pool, a track and a soccer field. You can catch concerts in the summer, and they Throw one heck of a good fireworks show every July 1st. In the winter you can sled down the big hill by the pool, or any incline you find. Some of the best views ever. There's also tennis and basketball courts. Usually plenty of parking in the area. There's even a bacce ball court, and a sand trap. Enjoy!

Been coming to this park for 4 years and it never actually occurred to me to write a review. There is no shortage of great parks in NYC but Astoria Park is truly a unique and special place. Come around sunset and walk along the water, the view of the Manhattan skyline and the city lights reflecting across the East River is pretty spectacular.

Another gem in NYC. A great walk from end to end. So many scenic views you forget where you are. Astoria park follows the East River and has stunning views of multiple bridges as well as an Amtrak bridge and Randall's Island. There's wide open bike lanes that allow safe walking/running for pedestrians as well. There's a soccer field surrounded by a running rack, tennis courts, basketball courts with 2 full court runs and a few half court set ups, a swimming pool (still closed for the season), a playground, a skate park and im probably missing more. There are also several smaller parks in the area to suit every park goer's needs(for example, this park doesn't have handball courts but multiple in the area do). There's plenty of picnic space though I surprisingly didn't see anyone cooking out. There's a decent parking lot which we easily found parking on a sunny 80 degree Sunday afternoon. My only complaint, I didn't see any concession stands or store fronts in the park. Though there are several deli's in the area. I like having options to buy water or Granola bars if I forget them. Overall a must visit NYC Park. Simply for the views. Will be returning despite having to pay tolls from the Bronx.

Such a beautiful park. 2 bridges to look at. Picnic spaces and paths to walk on. Very diverse group of people come here to this park. There’s also biking areas and a huge pool. Will definitely come back! Recommend to every New Yorker.

Today the sky over Astoria Park presented a magnificent view of the sunset with oranges and pinks in the clouds. And the background with the lights of the City made it even more dramatic.

This Park is obviously something else because of the amazing City and water views. I didn't get many pictures taken because it was cloudy that day, I went for a morning run for an energy boost. If you haven't gone to Astoria Park you should definitely go, you will leave 100% feeling great. Not sure if it has restrooms, I personally didn't have to look for one.

This park is a local favorite! With amazing waterfront views, a track and field with lights for those night runs, lots of space for picnics, a huge pool (before/after COVID), basketball courts and a new playground (currently under construction estimated to be completed by years end) for the kids. Sometimes you'll even get lucky and witness live music performances or participate in movie nights during the summer.

This is such a local gem in Astoria. It’s the backyard for the community with birthday parties, meetups and picnics always happening. The sunsets are the best along the waterfront. There’s a track and soccer games are always being played inside the track. There’s a skate park with a bunch of ramps. Playground for the kiddos, basketball courts, tennis courts and even some outdoor weight equipment. The pool is being renovated and back next summer, you cannot go wrong with this park. There’s even a GIANT parking lot under the Triboro which makes it very accessible.

Astoria Park is amazing. So many cool features: New track, skate park, playgrounds (currently being renovated), bike paths, and of course, sublime view of the sunset with Manhattan's skyline. Love the Olympic size pool and look forward to it opening in the end of June. Lots of great events happen in the park too including movie nights, concerts, volunteer events, and other community happenings. Great place to walk around and hang with friends.

One of the best local parks in the area. A beautiful place for a morning or evening stroll(however please be aware of your surroundings and protect yourself at all times. You never know). I've been coming to this park for over 20 years. The level of progress that has been made in upkeeping it, is absolutely amazing! The track area with new workout stations, the walk-ways, a new skate park, a water fountain play area for the kids(and adults), are the just a few things that make this park a must see attraction, especially if you're from out of town. On top of that, there's multiple events taken place here so definitely follow up through the proper channels to not miss out. Events such as the Astoria park fair/carnival and pre 4th of July fireworks celebration have taken place here, just to name a few. There are no grilling areas so one might have to ask the proper authorities for permission and plan ahead for family outings.

Fun family activities to do! We had so much fun until I heard people saying run! Shooting! We ran like never before! Luckily no one was injured! So you can take this into consideration before going. Wish someone should've warn me before! I hope in the future they put measures in place for security check before entering! It was really scary!

Love this place for any different reasons. I like to exercise at the running track, my daughter loves the playground, the pool is pretty attractive, the bridge and Manhattan view is very beautiful, and the Greek restaurant at the corner is delicious! Once (last year) visited in fall 🍁. Seemed like a very nice & quiet place to hangout and walk around the park, with all the fallen leaves, which looks beautiful. Visited the NE side of the park, next to the Hell Gate Bridge (beautiful rail road bridge, very very similar looking to the Sydney's Harbor bridge). It's a big sized park & this time, in spring 🌼 visited the opposite side (SW corner, under the RFK bridge, also a beautiful looking bridge). Basically came to Astoria Park Carnival and I must said the experience was not so good because of few reasons (mentioned in a separate review of Astoria Park Parking lot/Astoria Park Carnival). Overall it's a decent park to visit on normal, quiet days.

Great park in Astoria. Nice walking and running paths. Lots of other activities: track field, outdoor workout equipment, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc. Excellent view of the East River, parts of the upper east side of Manhattan and of course the RFK bridge.

A beautiful place to be present. Nice views of Manhattan and the RFK bridge. Enjoy the boats going by. Suggestion: Stop at The Barn (a coffee cafe) along Hoyt near 27th street for breakfast or lunch on your way there.

We went back here after a few years of not going and was pleasantly surprised by all the improvements they've put in place. The kids love the playground in particular. Monday was busy but when we went last Thursday, it was not too crowded. Would be back here regularly.
