😠 Escalators And elevators are ALWAYS broken down. This shopping plaza is trash. Imagine shopping for furniture and food, and have to lug it down the stairs. Parking is limited. Poor management. Needs maintenance... For example.. look at these lamps in the pictures, the support lines are all broke... People often mention Costco, shopping, stores, Target, mall, parking, good, time, great, people,

Escalators And elevators are ALWAYS broken down. This shopping plaza is trash. Imagine shopping for furniture and food, and have to lug it down the stairs. Parking is limited. Poor management. Needs maintenance... For example.. look at these lamps in the pictures, the support lines are all broken... they are literally hanging from the electricity lines. A disaster waiting to happen. STAND CLEAR!

A good shopping center and plaza with plenty of parking. I however avoid this place during the holidays and weekends due to the crowds and lack of traffic control.

Huge mall in the east river and 117 street. You can walk from 1st avenue. There is an Ashley’s, Costco, target, Aldi’s and many other shops. There is parking, I walked from 1st avenue- you can also take the 6 train to 116th, and the vehicle traffic was dense. It is on the east river so there is also a nice seating area in the back.

A great mall for shopping, you can get all your shopping done. Especially basic groceries from either Target, Costco, or the supermarket For basic groceries. Parking is difficult, and allow enough time to park and exit for two hours basic parking with reasonable fee. I'll choose weekday and early morning to shop.

Aldi is a great store. This store has excellent values on all of you grocery needs. Be sure to bring your own bad, shopping cart, or whatever you choose to carry your items in.store bags are 10¢each and they are very small fir a grocery bag

Usually 3 out of the 5 elevators in the plaza aren't working or both up and down escalators aren't working as well. Wish the cross walk to wait for your lyft/uber had a stop light or sign. The amount of times I almost gotten hit by a driver not paying attention is unacceptable. Pretty sure management doesn't care or this would have been addressed sooner. Security try to do the best they can but it's really difficult when there's only 2 people employed at a time. Have seen multiple high schoolers throw full cans and bottles off the forth floor almost hitting people that are sitting on the ledge they had put there. Really dangerous mall I would not suggest going here unless absolutely necessary. Not much to come here for anyway only costco and target are open. Edit: added 2 photos. the stairs are falling apart, I come here almost everyday, a month ago I noticed this, still hasn't been repaired. Maybe they're waiting for someone to actually hurt themselves? Shows how much they care doesn't it.

My favorite mall in the middle of East Harlem. But my favorite part of the mall is of course Target ! It’s very addicting because I’m always going there like every week and very convenient if you want something real quick, like supplies and so many other things. I love that it’s very big as well.

They have everything, the best part is that they have a taxi company working inside, so if you need a cab after buying a lot of stuff they are working there. Be sure to ask a employee because there are some pirates around.

It is a miracle what they've done to that section of Manhattan I grew up in that area and it one time it was run down although it wasn't poor when I clicked it it was an old Warehouse Factory that clothes back in the early sixties they've managed to turn it into a wonderful place to come and Shop everything that you can need from dog food to sitting down and eating some place on the water while you were picking up your food they have more than one place to purchase it is a wonderful place for Harlem and I highly recommend it if you come please visit and spend some money there it is right on the water and you can actually sit on the Terrace and just look out have to give it four stars and please come please come into the neighborhood and visit they have plenty of eating plenty of parking or do you have to pay for parking are you have plenty of discount places also.

Is a shame that 90% of the time the elevators or the escalators are out of order. This is a community with many seniors and families with small children with strollers. yet, this problem continues and continues with all the money this plaza racks in. I go there every week so I know that this is a constant problem.

I visited this area mid February 2023. I haven’t visited this location in years. The signs need some updating as someone was looking for Applebee's and was told it's no longer at this location. There are several stores such as Costco, Burlington, Marshalls, Target, Aldi, etc. This is also accessible as it has both escalators and elevators. Parking is available however you have to pay for parking. There aren't many food options in this location. However if you're a fan of Seafood Lighthouse Fish Market. This location is also available via public transportation.

Finding parking here is either a Game of Luck or the Waiting Game. You either happen upon an empty space or someone vacating a space...or you find someone pushing their cart and follow so close that the cart pusher might as well just sit on the hood. This place is a pay garage and you need to pay before you exit (not that people do that which backs up the whole line).

Horribly maintained. Sometimes you cannot access the stores on the upper floors due to elevators and escalators being out of service. The last time I was here, only one elevator was working, which of course had ridiculous wait times. ZERO stars!!!

Minor traffic usually turns into gridlocked situation, due to bad exit merge set-up, security that’s there is given the detail to facilitate traffic flow, however it quickly turns into something more like a referee giig,, between NYers who instantly develop that thick sense of entitlement as soon as they get in driver mode, & those self-privileged ride share/taxi drivers, you can possibly encounter some of the most inconsiderate & frankly most undesirable individuals you’ll unfortunately have to come across.

I had an amazing time! I was pleased with the dress and skirt that I bought from this boutique because it was totally amazing, and I really look good in it. Also, the staff that was able to help me deserves the best recognition possible because she was so amazing with her job. I would give a 5-star rating to this boutique.

It’s a multi-level strip mall. It’s pretty miserable in the ways that it is designed for cars and not for people. The way-finding is bad (good luck getting through the elevator crowd to get to the stairs) and the escalator is always broken. What’s good about this mall? It’s Target.

  • 5/5 Billie C. 3 years ago on Google
Today was my payday! Hence, I went to this prestigious mall near my town to buy some clothes and stuff that I wanted. I could feel the security and cleanliness of the area. Everything they sell was in the proper place. Also, the salesladies were accommodating and nice. They did their part professionally, decently, and kindly. I was honored to step on their floor because of its cleanliness and tidiness. I’m hoping to visit from time to time if my money allowed.

I go here for target and target only. Its a bus, train or walking distance from my home. Convenient. Has a variety of stores just like any mall such as Gateway Mall in the Bronx. They can work on having workers conduct the traffic coming in and out by both cars and people. Some act like they don't have no common sense.

I love this place. The are remodeling and I can't wait for the construction to be completed. This updates are long over due but there are still some great stores here! The location is very convenient! I love the layout of the mall. They have stores that they don't have at other malls such as Fashion Nova, Boutique dress stores, sees candies, boutique shoes stores. The plus is that the largest ikea is right around the corner as well. Burbank Town center also has outdoor shopping. This is a one stop shop for all of your shopping needs.

Overall not bad but the parking is $6 and adds each hour so somtimes you pay more than $10judt for some grocery shopping. Costco is okay the staff are great but the store doesn't have of most stuff you can find in other locations.

The mall is good, with nice big stores as Target, Costco and Marshall. Actually it is one of the best Target store I’ve been. However the parking lot is expensive and on the weekends it is impossible to get out in less than 30min. It is terrible.

I live 2 blocks from East River Plaza Mall and love it. While there are a variety of Stores and Store types, my 3 favorites are Costco, Target and Aldis. FYI - I) I live in a pretty small one bedroom apartment and I still find that the Costco membership is very worth it for those who are wondering because they don't live in a larger space or have a family.

This is not my "go to" Costco on a Saturday because it's usually very crowded. This Saturday there were not so many people and my shopping experience was good. The wait on a cab to take us home was not to bad either.

  • 4/5 Ramon F. 2 years ago on Google
I've come for the clothes, skincare, and makeup. Anything you need and want, this place probably has a store to cover it. When hungry, there's so many places to dine at (food court on the bottom floor and another area under the dome). My favorite being Bake Cheese Tarts (from Japan) and Beard Papas. The location is also super convenient so if you don't see something you like there's plenty of other areas to shop within walking distance.

  • 2/5 Godiva T. 2 years ago on Google
If you're local you go here because it's close. The lines are usually long, the staff in the few surviving stores are short on patience and commonly unknowledgable. So if you want to search aisles for basic things because you have time to waste then this is your place! If quality customer service 0and in-stock items is what you're looking for this is not the place for you...

  • 4/5 John D. 2 years ago on Google
Best feature is the parking. That said.... if your going to Costco and spending in excess if 100$ (which is very easy to do) I feel that your parking should be validated, or at least discounted significantly.

I come every Sat for my grocery shopping. I have never seen all elevators/escalators working at the same time. I often resort to climbing the ramps in the parking lot which is dangerous but at least faster than waiting for the only elevator in working order...

This is a tourist attraction place. Came here couple times. I like the fact that its really nice to walk here on a nice day. There are good food at East River Plaza like Bubba Gump, food stands etc. Also at the end you get to see sea lions sitting around. Free tourist entertainment. There are street performers here. ITs really nice.

The only mall above East 34th Street. Great Stores like Target, Burlington, kohl's. Easy parking. Great prices. There is even a good fast food restaurant on the same block. Also very close to East 116th Street filled with more shops. You want it. It's there. Also if you like Cuchifritos, The best Cuchifrotos place on the East Coast. Right between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenues, right on 116th Street. The more you walk on 116th St. The more Great places you will find.

Convenient mall in upper east side Manhattan. Most frequently we visit Target, Costco and Aldi. Selection and prices are good and checkout is usually fast. We pay for the 2 hr $6 parking. The only issue is that sometimes, even on busy weekends, several elevators are out of service while we have a loaded shopping cart.

I had a nice experience over there, The only negative I experienced was, unfortunately their are a big Number of Asian people in the immediate area and on the way there and they are very rude, I'm sorry to say!! I'm not prejudice at all but, it wasn't just one incident it was several, in the short walk to the plaza. Which is not the plaza's fault either. But I just had to let it be Known. One ex. Is, they don't say excuse me when walking at you. They just bump right into you and keep it moving. Also, this is mostly the men, they just spit nasty a.. loogies right in front of you, and they Blow boogers right in front of you into the air with no tissues, or an excuse me!!! Besides that, I had a nice time over there!!!!

Escalators and elevators are CONSTANTLY broken down. Disabled people should file an ADA lawsuit for the lack of accessibility. Furthermore, people are always on the escalators with FULL shopping carts and baby carriages despite the MULTIPLE signs. If the person with the cart or carriage let it go, the people behind them or in front of them depending on the direction will be seriously injured. This place has learned NOTHING from the lawsuit by the woman that was hit on the head when children dropped a target shopping cart. What a mess!!!! Pure chaos. No security guards and no organization. No security guards and no organization.

With more than 5 or 6 different businesses in there, one could easily say that this place is a one stop shop, with Costco , Marshall, Planet fitness , Raymond and Flanagan and a pet store. It is a huge facility and it is over looking over the FDR highway, the east river and a huge park.

  • 5/5 Tanya T. 1 year ago on Google
Great place for bulk discount shopping. Piece of advice: if you're taking the M116 bus from here, don't go to the stop just outside the plaza (117th and Pleasant Avenue) Hike a couple more blocks uptown to the start of the line (at 120th and Pleasant Avenue), and you'll be guaranteed a seat.

  • 3/5 Adelyn C. 1 year ago on Google
Good location, stores are spread out. The day I went to this location the escalators were not functioning going down, and the elevator wait times were very long (but that's to be expected). The Target and Aldi at first look seemed to be organized and not heavily trafficked at 4 pm on a weekday, but at the Target they were out of every item I needed. Each item said it was available at the store when I checked online, but two hours later when I went to shop they were not at the store. The staff also seemed to be hyper vigilant in the electronic dept. I was there to shop for an item and the moment I started to ask questions about the specs two other agents came to the area. I explained I needed to compare the new specs to my old device and that the company had suggested I go to an authorized dealer to compare. I showed them my messages and it didn't matter. I ended up not purchasing the item because of the overall treatment, and did order the item online directly from the manufacturer.

Great selection of stores Target, Costco, Aldi, Marshalls, Burlington, etc. Very crowded on weekends. Have to pay for parking. It is a nightmare just to get out the parking lot with all the double parked cars.

Everything closes earlier now, so check the hours of operation for each store. Petsmart is closed, Old Navy shut down, and Marshalls is tiny compared to others in Manhattan. The Costco here is the bright side of the Plaza, Aldi has great options if you catch their home decor. And their Target is worth the trip, minus their lightweight food selection and cage locks in the health and beauty section.

I love it I went with my kids It is large and varied, it has many things, many stores for children, women and men, I went out with my children and for a mother, it is sometimes difficult to shop without the children getting bored, but this place has something for everyone and keeps everyone entertained for a moment for each one of the family members very recommend

I did go to Costco with with a friend showing me the ropes. This mall has Marshalls, Burlington, Target and the Bob's discount furniture store. Stopping at Aldi's, very happy to see this mall. Hoping to come back. Yes it was crowded and people come in and going And yes, there is parking. Large crowds but understandably so, due to the mall having everything. Advice to come in early with shopping cart in or your PVO. The photos of items are at Bob's discount furniture store.

East River Plaza has a variety of stores, including Costco, Target, Aldi, Marshall's, Burlington, Ashley Furniture, and Bob's furniture store. There is a Planet Fitness on the 3rd floor and also a medical center on the 4th floor. Stores used to be open later, but now, due to crime, most of the places close early.

Excellent parking, great logistics at the facility everything is nicely structured. Don’t expect more than basic things to buy- it’s discount oriented.

Just a mall. A few big anchor stores. Busy mall. Neighborhood and beyond have shown lots of support. If the stores that are here is what you need this is fine. Plenty of mta buses

Costco is my reason to go here. I'm an Aldi fan also but the Aldi here is in the worst shape of any Aldi I've experienced. There's a Marshall's also.

I had the most thorough eye exam for new glasses inside Costco by an extraordinary optometrist. Costco remade my glasses because the opthalmologist's prescription was wrong. I will never pay $1250 for LENSES ever again. It is foolish to pay the extra refractory cost to an opthalmologist. They are not really interested in fitting you for glasses. Costco at East River Plaza has a great optical service with wonderful personnel. I haven't begun to really explore Costco, it's kind of scary to me and I don't know how I would lug stuff home. Aldi's, on the other hand, has great salmon, chicken, etc. in quantities that are manageable. So far it's been totally worth schlepping from the West Side I am very grateful.

Here you can shop at Costco, Marshalls, Target and other great stores. Grab a doughnut and some coffee, sit on a bench and enjoy a great view of the East River! Walk 2 blocks south and BANG your in Jefferson Park!! Lovely place to sit, Jog, play handball, basketball and you can workout outdoors. There's even a pool to cool off in. How awesome is that! Located in Spanish Harlem, East 117th street😎👍

I was in the area and wanted to exercise. I google searched the nearest Planet Fitness in the area and it gave me this location. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised to see an all out shopping center.

Lots of big-box name shopping names like Costco, Target and Aldi. Not the best location though. Very busy and parking is a headache here.

I really like it at the Plaza because there are so many stores to go to. You can get anything you want over there. My favorites are Aldi and Target. I shop there weekly

No public toilets or food options. Solely made for shopping. Good selection of shops. Easy access through FDR.

This shopping mall could be so much more than what it is. Foremost, the closure of Target put a dent in the ambiance. To close this location down due to heavy theft, only to open a new location in an even worse area and believe that it won't meet the same fate is laughable. A Walmart (preferably), Stop N Shop, or TJ Maxx should be considered. While Marshall's is fine, Burlington could stand to be cleaner, neater, and more welcoming instead of looking like Good Will. Aldi's should be replaced with a Morton Williams, Whole Foods, or a Food Bazaar. Costco, Bob's Furniture, Ashley's Furniture, and Planet Fitness are all fine where they are. Although a Raymour & Flanigan would be a better fit amongst the two Furniture stores. Petco needs to move to the ground level, if that's possible, and perhaps a Golden Coral can take its place. The grounds and parking lot have always been surprisingly clean. All elevators should be working more often than not. If the cab service is partnered with the mall or brokered a deal with each store individually, then they need to be a bit more professional and have cars at all times so customers aren't waiting too long. More NYPD Police presence or stores need to pay for their own Security.
