Had a wonderful three months artist residency there with Art on the Ave. Showcase my art to the public as well as having a working studio inside the Fulton center! For me, it was a dream came true! Met a lot of art lovers and artists during my stay!

Transit center for multiple subway lines cum shopping mall, designed by Grimshaw Architects and Arup as structural engineer. Very sleek solution to what used to be a tangle of subway lines, connected underground to Santiago Calatrava's Oculus.

Fulton Street is a bustling and vibrant urban hub that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. Located in the heart of a bustling city, Fulton Street is a dynamic and diverse neighborhood that has something to offer for everyone. One of the highlights of Fulton Street is its rich history. As one of the oldest streets in the city, Fulton Street is steeped in history and heritage. Walking along Fulton Street, you'll come across historic landmarks, iconic buildings, and charming cobblestone streets that evoke a sense of nostalgia and transport you back in time. From the historic Fulton Street Market, which dates back to the 19th century, to the renowned South Street Seaport, a historic waterfront district, Fulton Street is a treasure trove for history buffs and those interested in New York City's past. Fulton Street is also a cultural melting pot, with a diverse community that adds to its charm. The neighborhood is home to a wide range of ethnicities, bringing with them their unique cuisines, arts, and traditions. You can find a plethora of culinary delights from around the world, from street food vendors to upscale restaurants, offering an array of flavors and tastes that will satisfy any foodie's cravings. The vibrant arts scene in Fulton Street is also worth exploring, with art galleries, theaters, and performance spaces showcasing local talent and creativity. In addition to its historical and cultural offerings, Fulton Street is a bustling commercial hub with a vibrant shopping scene. The area is dotted with boutiques, specialty stores, and brand-name retailers, offering a diverse range of shopping options for visitors and locals alike. From trendy fashion boutiques to unique specialty shops, Fulton Street has something for every shopper's taste and style. Moreover, Fulton Street's central location provides easy access to many of the city's attractions and landmarks. With excellent public transportation options, including subway stations and bus stops, navigating around Fulton Street and exploring other parts of the city is convenient and hassle-free. However, it's worth noting that due to its central location, Fulton Street can be busy and crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. The noise and hustle of the city may not be appealing to those seeking a quiet and serene atmosphere. Overall, Fulton Street is a dynamic and diverse neighborhood that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. Its rich heritage, diverse community, vibrant arts scene, and excellent shopping options make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of New York City.

It's a nice place, but the people walking through here are not the smartest. Doors clearly labeled stop and go, yet everyone goes through the doors labeled stop, like something special is being served through there. As a result, there's often chaos at the door because people cannot read or heed simple sinage that are in place to avoid just this problem. Edit: the signs to direct traffic were removed.

Yesterday, we wanted to go shopping, so we did online research about how to get to one of their shopping malls. We are new to this area. The shopping center was super large, neat, and well-organized. The workers at the department stores were so kind and attentive to our needs. Tomorrow we're coming back to try their food here.

It's a very big busy station but it has stores like Dunkin donuts to a little news stand. There are a lot of different floors stairs escalators and elevators making it also accessible for people with disabilities. Plenty of MTA or the police to help if you are lost or need help.

The Fulton Center Station is a very nicely created area of little eateries, shops and a wonderful connection to a variety of subway trains. Always well lit, numerous exits and entrances as well as steps, escalators and elevators.

I use it basically as a transportation hub for the subway. However, it does offer food shops. Not restaurants but snacks like Annie's Pretzels πŸ₯¨. A few more that flee my mind now. If you decide to go outdoors you can go shopping. Quite a few stores to choose from. Fulton Center is very modern and offer escalators and elevators. As always be careful because no matter how nice the neighborhood BAD ELEMENTS come through. May GOD bless you.

The main entrance welcomes you with a grand glass façade, allowing natural light to flood the interior and create an open and inviting atmosphere. As you enter, you are greeted by a spacious concourse adorned with stylish steel and glass structures. The high ceilings create a sense of airiness and provide a view of the various levels and platforms within the center. The central atrium is a focal point of The Fulton Center, featuring an impressive oculus, a large circular opening in the ceiling, which allows light to pour down onto the concourse below. This captivating architectural feature serves both an aesthetic and functional purpose, as it provides natural light and acts as a compass, helping visitors navigate the complex.

This place is a great starting And any point for any group or pair of travelers that I lost the cool little shops inside for a quick snack, several police officers and staff to help you navigate your way through the city. There are many other retail shops just outside of the Fulton center. It's always clean well, it's okay. And access to many different train lines

  • 5/5 Charles A. 2 years ago on Google
Great choice of ice creams. Like on campus selections I had attending Virginia Commonwealth University, already paid for with tuition fees each semester. The ice cream choices are a great reason to attend a University. Well, their entree buffet options are ample too. The Fulton Center is opening up now. It's a major commute transfer center in lower Manhattan a few blocks from the Stack Exchange area where I often worked.

Plenty of places to grab a treat or some fast food. The mall is very modern and clean, however there are no places to sit... expect to spend a pretty penny on food here.

  • 5/5 David F. 8 months ago on Google
Probably one of the cooler subway stations around. Basically it's a building with a giant food court full of name brand food joints such as Shake Shack and Dunkin all on top of a subway station that half the lines in Manhattan stop at with an underground connection to the World Trade Center. Plus the world's largest Chick-fil-A is next door with a cool rooftop patio.

  • 4/5 Brooklyn W. 2 years ago on Google
Really nice modern interior. Police often stationed inside, easy access to multiple subway lines and many dining options. If you go to the Shake Shack inside, order ahead online. Do not order in person, their turn around rate is abysmal.

They got a Shakeshack! That's the most important thing you need to know. Lol. But they also have other restaurants, one serves sushi and other street food vendors at the station. Some apparel stores as well.

The Fulton Center is my absolutely favorite stop on the subway. I remember when the construction was going on. Wow, NYC outdid themselves. I love the high, cathedral ceilings. Possibly, I could equate it to Grand Central but more modernized. Except there is shopping, so maybe Penn Station is a better match or analogy. The skylight takes my breath away. It's too bad I'm always in a hurry to enjoy it but you can't miss it.

  • 3/5 Judy L. 2 years ago on Google
I highly recommend coming here if you are visiting the area. If you do not like crowds, try to pick a less busy day. The winds are gustin so be sure you have a sweater if you're dressed in shorts. The parking is a pain in the butt in the area. There are lots but they are super expensive. If you go farther from the beach, there is street parking along the residential areas.

The lady at Krispy Kreme at the register last night was so rude ,it blew my appetite, yea it was small act of rudeness but I was enthusiastic about trying the milk cinnamon toast donuts, so I asked the young lady if they're available, she says "do you see any here "and rolls her eyes and proceeds to wait. No biggie but if they're on the menu I had to ask

Like I've told most that ask, I've been avoiding Manhattan unless I have to go, for the past 20yrs. I've seen all the changes in the subway recently and compared to the 90's Fulton Center is a complete turn around. A yr or so ago I had to take the train to Manhattan and change over from the A to a number train πŸš† and felt like a tourist! I had to take a few before I went on the rest of my journey! And I've lived in Queens from a little kid in the mid 80s until current!

I enjoy this transportation hub, but even 2 years after start of pandemic, and a lot more subway riders travelling, there are no Rest Rooms available inside this "huge" terminal. I find it "very dissapointing".

  • 2/5 Bori W. 2 years ago on Google
This remodeled train station is as a result of 911. The Towers collapsing caused major damage underground, and the existing train station at that time. I'm sure it was prettier and safer when it first opened. The addition of the small shop was with good intent. But I wouldn't go to a shop in this infested environment. Now it's dingy, dim and dangerous. Some sketchy characters like to hustle and hang out there.

  • 4/5 Fred A. 2 years ago on Google
It is a beautifully designed transit hub, but only recently have they started effectively dealing with the number of panhandlers and derelicts that hang around the entrances. Other than that, it serves a great deal of us whom commute from throughout the outer boroughs. Also glad to see that some new stores are opening in the center. It is a huge convenience for us all.

It is a clean big subway station. The only problem is that it can get a little confusing if you are not familiar with the station. Even being familiar with the station I still go the wrong way sometimes. It also has elevators to get to any train so it's wheelchair accessible.
