2.5/5 - I have a couple of questions. Is all your food made not as advertised? Is it because I was sitting outside? Is it because today is Saturday? Are you making the chips by hand? Had a lot of people hype this place. Like A LOT. I traveled 2500 miles to try it. Fell flat on its face. Service was bad. Forgot to make 1/3 of my order. Asked if they could make it - was met with attitude. Opened the “nachos” and was terribly disappointed. Asked to remake them, since they do not look like what they advertise - was met with attitude. If you spend $100+ you expect $100 worth of food/service. For $3 more you can get better nachos at Jajaja. LA Vegan food > NYC vegan food

as a carnivore i am here to proclaim you can absolutely leave this place not wanting anything else because it's just hits on all notes regarding diner eats. the mac and cheese is rich and flavorful and really good with the broccoli. the burger is honestly one of the best burgers i've ever had and was also really good cold a couple hours later, love that. mozzarella sticks were too cheesy for me but if you love mozzarella then it's probably gonna hit you where ya want it. cauliflower was perfectly cooked and the ranch was bomb. been waiting to come here for a while and it was well worth it.

Great vegan food with a big variety to choose from. I think they have one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever tried. The restaurant could be a little cleaner and there was a bunch of dining time/reservation rules posted everywhere. But all-in-all definitely recommend!

Tried this place on a whim for breakfast and it did not disappoint! We tried the chicken and waffle, the waffle was delicious, the chicken was good as well just a little dry. We also tried the breakfast slam which was our favourite. The French toast was really good. Overall we will definitely be coming back to try more, great vegan spot!

Champ's might have the best vegan comfort food in the country. I've been to multiple vegan friendly cities and this is one of my all time favorite spots to go. The Reuben, Cubano, and Cheesesteak are all really freakin good (Reuben is my favorite sandwich ever). Also try a pancake for dessert (cinnamon swirl and cookie dough are both awesome). Edit 1: The crab cakes are also delicious. Edit 2: I still love champ's but Ben & Esther's Deli in Portland makes the best vegan Reuben in the land.

I’ve been here awhile ago back before covid and it was delish. I ordered take out last week and it was ok. Probably just doesn’t travel well although it was the gyro sandwich, cauliflower wings and salad. They put the taziki sauce on the side which was good but the sandwich was a mess. Couldn’t really taste the fries but otherwise it was good. Cauliflower wings were tasty but small amount for the cost. Salad did not come with any salad dressing. Delivery was ok and food arrived hot. Ordered through GrubHub.

Had the fried cauliflower appetizer and the Benedict. Both are a delight. I got pretty full and had to take the rest to go. The menu has changed a bit since the last time went and that was several years ago. Some items are no long on their online menu. Like they’re Buffalo seitan wings and the tater tots…. I’m hoping that’s temporary.

I didn't know it was possible to make such delicious plant based diner fare but Champs has managed to do it! Must visit if you love French Toast and exploring vegan innovations. Check this place out next time you're in the neighborhood.

I visited from Florida and enjoyed this place to the fullest. The staff was very friendly Stephan was a sweetheart and the food was outstanding! During my trip, I visited champs three times. I just couldn’t get enough of their delicious “breakfast slam.” I will be visiting New York again and will definitely return. 🥂🥰

Loved the decor and the vibe of this place. So many great vegan options. I went for the pesto turkey melt with a salad on the side. It was great from what I was able to try. Unfortunately the salad was on the same plate as the toasted sandwich and I'm not sure how long it was on the pass in the kitchen but by the time it reached my table the slices of bread that were touching the plate were soggy so I only ate what was on top. I was really hungover or I probably would've sent it back. Next time I’ll order the pancakes because they looked amazing!

Amazing restaurant, took my husband and friend who ate not vegan and they loved it. Philly cheesesteak was the best thing we had along with the jalapeño poppers. Tots were good too, I had the enchilada burrito which was good but not a big fan of the egg taste but still was good. Incredible find, definitely going back to tried all the menu

It’s 100% vegan and they have lots of gluten free options. This spot is low key, just a began diner basically. The cheese is not made of cashews FYI in case you have a cashew allergy like me

We couldn’t visit New York without stopping by a diner, let alone a completely vegan one! Champs Diner‘s sandwiches were such an indulgence, staff was very friendly and we just love the retro diner aesthetics there! We ordered the staff-recommended Chik’n Sandwich in Nashville (it also comes in Buffalo and Zesty) and Philly Cheese Steak made from seitan. Both sandwiches were phenomenal! The chick’n sandwich had the perfect crunch and right amount of heat from the sauce. The cheesesteak was juicy and SO flavourful! We would love to come back again to try their other dishes! Check us out @vegetswithya on IG for more vegan and vegetarian eats in the area!

Great vegan breakfast food! I had the enchilada burrito and it was very good. French toast was also very good. Waitstaff was very nice. Definitely try to come here when I get the chance. Vegan or not, you’ll enjoy the menu!

Literally the best tofu scramble that anyone has ever made. Everything here was insanely flavorful and delicious. I’m glad we got to try a little bit of everything. Not one element was just “okay”, every single part was exquisite.

Delicious! We had the buffalo tots, reuben sandwich + philly cheese steak sandwich. It was all so flavorful and good! Only issue we had was being too full! 😅

A must visit vegan diner option in NYC. The biggest thing to know if how busy they get on weekends, if you want the full diner sit down experience, make sure to get a reservation before hand. If you're like me and just want to experience the food, ordering for pickup and bringing it literally anywhere is a great option. EVERYTHING here is the type of decadent brunch food you want, from waffles to scrambles to Kentucky Fried Chickn replacement, whatever you're craving, they have it. You definitely pay for it since its a well known vegan spot with high quality, but for me if was a worthwhile experience to cross it off my list. The Chik'n and Waffles was exactly what i needed and the Eggz Benedict WAS SO GOOD, very few vegan places pull the hollandaise off but they do. You can't go wrong

Mouthwatering, plant-based perfection. There’s no better place for vegan comfort food in Brooklyn imho. As vegans, it’s amazing to find a full diner like this that takes pride in what they serve. I ordered the Buffalo Chik’in Sandwich and split the Macaroni and Cheeze, with a Nut Cruncher milkshake. Thoughts? -Chick’n Sandwich was perfection. I loved every bite of it. -Macaroni and Cheeze was even more delicious the day after. I’m thinking that it should be ordered double cooked, next time I go. -Milkshake was the weakest link. Mine wasn’t frozen and I left most of it on the table. Bottom line: Come in person or order online. This place is legit amazing.

One of our favorite vegan diners in NYC. The few times that we have visited Champs we have not had one thing to complain about. We even got lucky and found parking on the block which is very rare in NY. My favorite sandwich is the Cuban. The shakes are delicious and worth trying especially the mint chocolate chip one. We didn't like the mozzarella sticks that much but everything else was so good, I can't wait to go back

If you’ve got a sweettooth then the pecan pancakes are for you! No indoor seating for those unvaxed, but you can seat yourself outside and use the QR code on the table to order and they will bring your food out to you in a bag and takeout containers.

Omg my new fave vegan joint in NYC!!! The chicken and waffles had us come back twice. The mix with Kale and Mustard is an unexpected Savory but Sweet and we loved it!!! I'd give the place 6 stars if I could.

My son is vegan and he absolutely loves this place! We used to come here and it was always great food and service. We now did pick up and the food still great and so is the service. Many options and great taste.

Popped in on a slow Tuesday night. Servers didn't seem too thrilled to have guests. Breakfast options are now not available after 4 but not updated on the menu. Was also told another menu item wasn't available after ordering, and while I typically can understand we were the only guests in the entire restaurant. Super disappointed in the service but the food still deserves the stars.
