Great dive bar! Great vibes, friendly service, good selection of beers, some of the cheapest prices I’ve encountered in Manhattan, a free hot dog with every beer, and one of Anthony Bordain’s faves. Is there anything else to say?

Easily my favorite bar in New York. They don't have a large selection of craft beers, but receiving a whole beef hot dog with every purchase is the nicest part about this restaurant. It was a perfect pit stop for me as a hot dog aficionado while traversing the streets of the concrete jungle.

Rudy's bar and grill is cash only. one of the best happy hours in Hell Kitchen neighborhood. Their house beers are actually quite decent. They serve hot dogs with a beer purchase. Another solid dive bar in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Service and atmosphere is great, people are friendly and talkative. Seems to be a good soccer bar. Massive projector in the patio and could small screens inside.

Excellent dive bar on 9th avenue - prices are very reasonable ($3 for a pint of Rudy's Blonde!) and it has a fun atmosphere. There are a lot of stools at the bar and a couple of booth along the wall. They play sport in the back and by the bar. The service was quick and friendly. Would highly recommend for a drink or two away from the touristy pubs/bars of Midtown.

Seems like there were many regulars. I’ll give them 3 stars because their price is surprisingly low for a place in Manhattan. Read that it’s famous for their hot dogs because for every drink they will give you one free. Apparently you have to order the hotdogs when ordering the drink. We didn’t know that system and asked for it later so were told to make sure we leave tips (which doesn’t quite mean it’s “free”).

Rudy's was the highlight of our weekend jaunt up to NYC. The prices are super reasonable with both house beers being surprisingly tasty. I was also impressed by the variety they had on tap. I personally wouldn't call it a "dive bar" since my exp with those is that they only have cans! 😆 The vibe reminded me of rowhome bars you see in Baltimore or Philadelphia, so it was like home for us. 💕 The free hotdogs were the cherry on top! 🌭 10/10 will be making a pit stop here for any subsequent visits to the area. Do make note that it is cash only though! 💵

Great NYC spot. Free hot dogs with drink purchase! Fresh, hot, amazing. Busy spot, but easy to get a drink at the bar.

This place is pretty cool. I ordered a cocktail (Gin Tonic) and I had to confirm twice it’s really just 5 dollars. It tasted pretty decent, the bubbly soda surely was on point. I heard you get a complimentary hot dog for any order. However, the guy did not give me the hot dog I am not sure why. Maybe you need to verbally request. I don’t have much time this time in NY, I will surely come here for at least 5+ drinks for my next NY visit.

The best bar in New York. Rock bottom prices, free hotdogs with the greatest barman. Who could ask for more? A must visit experience when in NYC.

A classic in Hells Kitchen. You can’t miss it…just look for the giant pig outside the door. Cheapest draft beer in town and always packed. Cleaned up quite a bit while closed for Covid, it’s still the same fun place it’s always been. A family tradition in my house we must go at least once when in town.

An amazing bar for gathering with friends, or for drinking a beer and relaxing! A big detail to add, you can have hot dogs for free when you drink your beer! 🤗

My only regret is that I found this bar only on my second trip to NYC: this place is awesome! Fairly priced drinks and combos and something you'll not find easily these days: they give you hotdogs for free on purchases! Place is totally no-frills and yet it's cozy in a punk way: you'll be greeted by a giant plastic pig (Rudy, their mascot) stationed in the sidewalk by the bar entrance. Very classy in a real NYC sort of way, a time capsule, a must-see!

Great bar in Hell's Kitchen with a great range of beers. It was very busy when I went in but the wait was almost non-existent as the bartender was very quick. I tried 4 different draft beers, including their own (a blonde and a red), the blonde being my favourite of the two. At $3 a pint with a free hot dog, it's kind of a hard deal to beat! The prices for a pint on draft ranged from $3 (the aforementioned Rudy's blonde) to $8 for a wicked weed sour. Definitely somewhere I'd drink in again if I'm back in New York.

Stopped off for a few beers on a Friday night. Place was buzzing, great atmosphere and guys behind the bar doing a great job. Exceptional value for money too. Go and you won’t be disappointed. Went in for a swift half, left half a dozen beers later!!!

We had the best time at Rudy’s. TJ was very helpful and shared the history of the bar and made us great FREE hot dogs. Another group came in and left because that’s the only food they serve. What a bunch of fools. It doesn’t get any better than a free hot dog with purchase. The drink prices are inexpensive and clearly marked on the wall so you know what you’re getting. Best dive bar ever. Will be back!

Cheapest drinks in Manhattan AND free hot dogs! $5 for a beer and a shot in 2022 is practically unheard of even in cheap cities and just tell the bartender how many dogs you'd like. Cash only and also a sweet covered back patio area. Can get very packed and loud though so be ready to party, everyone was super friendly. Can't recommend this spot enough, there's absolutely nothing like it in the area.

Just a few blocks our of times Square lies this institution bar that can't be missed, beer and shot combos are the cheapest ever also including a complimentary little but tasty hot dog with any drink. the place smells local people and local stories. The server behind the bar have been there donkeys years and were ok in terms of friendliness. I'd go there any day if I were to live here.

Awesome place. They are so fun and old-school that I'll be back here the other day for sure. They serve drinks on the balcony, like in Hollywood movies. When you buy a drink, you can ask for a free hotdog. It's a really cool place.

What’s not to love about Rudy’s? Buy a cheap beer and get a free hotdog… I came in and was helped by Franko who was super friendly and knew how to chat. I tried both their house beers and they’re honestly pretty good! Also for $3 and $4 respectively they’re probably the cheapest drinks you can get in the area if not all of Manhattan. The hotdogs honestly hit the spot and make the experience even better. A fresh hotdog with a line of ketchup and a line of mustard is all that’s needed. Also to note that this is THE Rudy’s from the Steely Dan song Black Cow. Apparently the guys used to hang out there in the 70s Definitely a must visit if the vibe of this place interests you and they’re open 8am-4am basically every day so there’s no excuse

One of the best, arguably most famous dive bars in Manhattan. Located in Hells Kitchen, where you can pay only $3 for a pint & a hot dog. Hard to beat a deal like that anywhere in Manhattan! Just don't forget to tip!

First time I'm the US. This bar was by far the most authentic American bar experience we had. Drinks are basically half price to anywhere else. Staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. Oh and free hot dogs with each purchase. Brilliant

Happy thanksgiving Rudy’s, thank you so much for hosting a thanksgiving dinner. Everyone here was so friendly. The people serving at the buffet were a hoot. The beer prices were very reasonable. $5 for their Rudy’s ale and a shot of seagrams 7. This is going to be added onto my favorites list. A real gem.

A fantastic spot to catch a game, some laughs and the feeling that you're not in midtown Manhattan. The staff were amazing and the location is perfect. Also who can say no to 'on the house' hotdogs??

Their own Rudy's Blonde larger is only $3 and it's really good. Other places charge 3 times that their OWN larger. A bar for the real people and the hot dogs are fantastic. Thanks Rudy's

Arguably one of the best bars in the city. You get to see a good mix of people - ages, occupations, sexuality, and race. Come for the beers and stay for the atmosphere. PS: The hot dogs are just BOMB.

This is the place with the cheapest drinks in the area, if you find another one, please let me know lol. $6 shot and a beer and a hot dog with every drink, if you want it. It is a dive bar, so don't expect anything fancy. Bartenders are nice, i sit at the bar when I go alone, in case someone starts getting fresh, the bartenders pull them aside and tell them to stop. It's nice, they look out for you. There's a small space in the back with tables and they tend to play baseball on the screen. It's opened until 4am.

Brilliant place! Cheapest beers we found in NYC by far, between $3-9 depending on your choice, & each beer comes with a free delicious hotdogs too! Fantastic authentic bar, buzzing atmosphere, great draft beer and free Dogs…. So pleased we visited this super hostelry in Hells Kitchen !!

  • 3/5 Lara J. 1 year ago on Google
It's a great place to hang out with friends and meet new people. However, they only accept cash (we didn't know it the first time) and it's usually super busy, almost impossible to seat or even catch a spot on the bar (if you ask for a jar it's not convenient not having a spot to leave it). Anyways, it's great that they include a hot dog with your drink. Pro tip, if you're going to ask for multiple jars (if you're a large group of people), order them separately - you'll have more hot dogs during the evening :)

Nice local pub, prices are very decent and good crowd to chill. Staff is nice, you get free hotdogs on weekends with drinks. They appreciate tips though. Well done drinks are also not so expensive. Drink and a shot starts at $5. But don't expect a table if you arrive after 7. Completely packed on weekends. Just grab a drink on the bar and enjoy

Best secret in Manhattan-Hells Kitchen. "Cold Beer and Hot Dogs" this is your place. Drink specials crazy cheap too. If you're a 1st time goer, here is a tip.....bring your manners to this fine establishment and show respect for the folks slinging drinks or find out where Kitchen got its 1st name! One of my favorite places while visiting Times Square.

$3 a pint. What could be better than that. Also they do a small selection of wine as week, we'll 2, chardonnay or red but only $5 for 185ml. Bustling atmosphere with old songs on jukebox really adds to the experience
