Fantastic hotel with great pricing. Who knew that lodging when visiting Manhattan could be so inexpensive? Very clean rooms, completely renovated. Queen mattresses are very comfortable. Another major convenience is the constant availability of the Manhattan-bound 320 coach bus, offered by NJ Transit: the bus stop is only 100 yards away, and it takes you to the center of Manhattan in 20-25 minutes for $4.25. Extremely convenient. Like the reviews mention, really the only downside is probably the breakfast: very limited selection. But this was not a problem for me, as one goes to NYC for the food anyway. Overall, extremely happy with this hotel.

This hotel is pretty clean but somewhat disorganized. The first room they gave me actually wasn’t cleaned since last guest. The front desk apologized but they were kinda confused by stuff. It’s a nice basic spartan clean hotel. Good for one night stay to go see a show in NYC. Bus is across the street.

Update: I do want to say thank you to the manager for listening to us, being understanding, and looking into the situation again. They let us know they refunded us back the money and we really do appreciate his reevaluation. However, guests must be careful and aware of how their rooms can be misinterpreted when they leave. Make sure your room is nice and if something about your room isn’t working or seems wrong, especially if your room smells weird from the beginning, make sure to be in communication with the hotel staff so it doesn’t get blamed on YOU and you’ll see a charge. Charged $200 for smoking without even contacting us when we did NOT smoke. What?! What a complete lie! My husband always smoked outside and never inside- they just charge up with absolutely zero proof based off of claims the “the housekeeper is always right”. I don’t even know how and why they can make this up. Not to mention the front desk Ashley was so extremely unprofessional and rude. When they claimed the room smelt like smoke they wouldn’t let us come back, or anyone to go up with us and prove it right then and there. They just made it up! Not wanting to help at all and snarky comments when we asked for more information. They wouldn’t even explain anything to us.

No one in my family ever saw a sign with hotel name and we weren't sure if it was the right place. Great price, good location, convenient bus stop across street. Going through renovations so room was newly remodeled, guessing we were the first to stay in it since the TV and 2 lamps were unplugged. Needs a nightstand on both sides of the bed. Breakfast very minimal, apples, yogurt, bagels.

BED BUGS. DO NOT STAY I stayed at this hotel about a month ago with my pregnant wife and 2 friends. Everything seemed great a check in, lots of renovations but no big deal. On the first morning my wife woke to a bite on her wrist that we convinced ourselves was nothing. In the middle of our second nights we woke to be covered in bites and to find bed bugs scurrying over the sheets. At 3am we went down to the front desk to find the ONLY useful staff member employed there who gave us garbage bags for our belongings and 2 new rooms. The following few days we were moved into different rooms to our dismay (4 total rooms now potentially infected) and had to deal with staff and managers that seemed to not care about the bed bugs and was so incompetent with their system and protocols that’s I’m convinced I could have done a better job. We were told we would get 2 of our 5 months refunded (after returning home and dealing with the stress of bed bugs, 2 nights is not enough), WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND 1 MONTH LATER. Do not stay here. The area is great just choose another hotel

Linda was amazing! Best front desk attendant I have ever met at any hotel. She was kind, helpful and all around everything you would want greeting you at your hotel when on vacation. The housekeeper was a cleaning ninja. The only reason we knew she had been there was because the trash was taken out, beds were made or a light was on. She made sure to leave all of our belongings were we left them. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Gave great directions, told us how the transit system worked. I would 1000% stay here again. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. My teens enjoyed the stay as well.

Me and my wife booked this hotel for our honeymoon. Good location, decent hotel room. We stayed 3 nights here and checked out on time. Same day afternoon, they charged us 200$ because they said we smoked inside room. We didn’t. We are not people that do things like this inside room as a mature adult. We called front desk. Ashley picked phone and kept telling us that we did. House keeper says something. I told them to go to the room and check whatever they can find to prove it. They don’t want to do it too. Very disappointed experience

Barely any shampoo or conditioner body wash or any type of free amenities slippery shower and they barely cleaned our shower when we asked for them to clean our rooms. No mats for when you get out of the shower. No bench or chair to sit on for handicapped in the shower. Ok breakfast but not much variety in cereals to choose from kinda expensive rooms for what you get .

My stay at this hotel has been exceptional! The service provided by Claudia at the front desk was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. Despite our early arrival, she kindly suggested that we could store our luggage at the hotel and even provided us with directions to a few nearby places of interest. Her warm and friendly demeanor was truly appreciated. The staff's service has been consistently wonderful, and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far. Five stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Comfortable newly renovated rooms and very nice staff. There is a small breakfast to take back to your room. No tables. The best part is the short walk across the street for bus 320 to go to time square.

Workers were working in the breakfast area, during breakfast time, and it was very noisy. Really bad situation when you want to spend a quiet time during breakfast. The breakfast wasn't really diversified (only 2 fruits sort, apple juice in plastic container, only bagels and bread for pastry...) Also, during our 3 nights stay, we never had someone cleaning our bedroom while we specified it with the paper hanger... No hot water during a whole day.

Let's just say do not stay here until renovation is complete. The rooms they have finished are nice the older rooms are just that Old!!! TV barely works the refrigerator has frozen all my food and drinks. No control to adjust settings. It's cool in the room during the day but it's hotter than you know what when you wake up. The breakfast is pretty much non existent.

Room is reasonable large and clean, breakfast is basic hut sufficient. the hotel is overall outdated and they said remodeling is very soon, I won't complain regarding the price comparing with the surrounding ones. The front desk lady Ashley, was so kind to trying her best to help us out. Thank you Ashley.

Place was easily accessible to NYC. Rafael was super friendly hosts of ours. Always service with a smile. Breakfast is very poor though. Only toasts and cereals. No croissant, eggs or fruits as displayed in the photos. Asked for milk to have my coffee as housekeeping don’t seem to leave milk in the rooms and was told they don’t provide milk and I will need to have my coffee black. Basic hotels that’s easily accessible with some very nice hosts who work here. Was expecting better in terms of amenities and breakfast wise.

    1) we were informed Friday midnight prior to our saturday 5 am flight to Newark that Sunday night at the hotel had been cancilled due to the hotel being without power on that Day 2) even though they found us another hotel for that Day we lost a los of time. 3) a rat nibbled on one of the M&M bags we left at the closet. From other comments I gather the hotel has rats. 4) it's very old-looking. 5) breakfast is very basic. Good things: microwave and small fridge plus locación. All things consider if it werent for the rats I World be Back but thats Just too much. Reading on the plane that your is stay is not so "sure" at the Last minute Was not very nice.

Had a last minute trip up to NYC for work. I picked this hotel as it was in my travel budget (thanks to insane airfare and rental car prices). I was very apprehensive when I selected this place, but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are brand new and nice. Only cons are breakfast (not a big deal) and the elevator situation. I am still here at the hotel and would definitely consider this place again. Front desk ladies are wonderful!

I asked for an invoice with my company's details and they were not able to give it to me, they don't reply to emails. Most of the staff do not speak English. Some do and those are very nice. The service levels go from 0% to 100% on a daily basis, you never know what you are going to get. The location is perfect if you want to travel to NYC so we liked the price compared to our options.

Bad housekeeping. Pillows are all over, bedsheets are not tucked in. No tissue supply at all times. No in room coffee and creamer, sugar. Mice running back and forth at one time. You have to be a plumber too. The plunger is closed and I have to have a knife to open it. Fortunately the front desk staff are nice but no breakfast to eat. No bagels, eggs, no hot cereal and protein. And I’m a diamond member. Third time that the room isn’t ready for me. Just terrible ! I’m not gonna come back for a while and will try other hotels and I forgot to mention that the bedside lights are not working. Third time that I come, same problem

Having stayed here for years before the pandemic shut them down this is my first time back since reopening. The rooms have been improved, the carpet looks new and the shower and fixtures updated. The sofa is comfortable. My only complaints would be limited tv stations and the pillows and towels seem old and worn. Improvents are still ongoing and I'm interested to see the end result. Overall a decent hotel and good value for the area.

We were received at check-in by Olga, who was the most incredible hostess! We arrived early, but she arranged it so we could already check-in, even if we were not able to access the rooms just yet as they were still being cleaned. This allowed us to visit New York without any troubles and not return at a specific time to finalise the check-in. The location of the hotel seems quite 'out there', but there is a bus that takes you to central manhattan within 20min and which runs very regularly and is not that expensive. This was really suprising, and came in super handy. The rooms are roomy and clean, breakfast very basic, which made sense given the price of the stay. Rather than stay in central manhattan or NY city in general, which costs arms and legs of a person, I found this solution extremely recommendable given the easy bus access to the city!

Under renovation but the experience is still good. The location is great with bus access directly across the street and plenty of dining choices. Once the renovation is complete it will be a gem.

Unfortunately my experience was not good. Hotel is under renovation (what is good for the future) but the service they are offering at the moment is not good.No safety box at the room, no laundry area for guests. When I made the reservation, was mentioned they offer “Continental Breakfast” and all I found at the “breakfast area” was 1 banana and 2 apples. I asked the woman about the breakfast, and she said this is what we offer, and she was totally overwhelmed. As far as I understood her job is not care about the breakfast, but for some reason she was doing it. The guy who helped us at the check in moment in the evening was really nice, and helped us with tips, and we are giving 1 star only because of his attention with us. I would not recommend this hotel, at least not now, but honestly I would not give another opportunity if I come again.

Great hotel. All the amenities. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was nice, clean and nice king size bed. Fridge, microwave, clock radio and TV. Bathroom was spacious.

I get that I am getting for what I paid for but this was a little too overboard. $200 a night for a malfunctioning sink, a black crusted shower AND to our lovely surprise, a rat trap under the bed. If there’s anything that keeps you up at night, it’s knowing there is a rat trap with a piece of old food attached to it. DISGUSTING. Don’t stay here, trust me - the lady at the front desk was very nice though!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rest of the hotel was just bad. You got a cup of cold cereal and a bottle of water for breakfast. Everything was being remodeled at the same time. Way to expensive for what you get.

So I get into town from Charlotte to see Metallica with my son and arrive at the hotel at 5:00pm. My room is NOT ready, so after traveling all day we have to go straight to the concert. (I checked with them before going to the concert and was assured there would be no problem with checking in after the concert) I reserved a room with TWO QUEEN BEDS and this was THE reason that I chose this hotel. I was told that they only had a room with a SINGLE QUEEN and a SOFA!!!! I could have gotten that at many other hotels and CHEAPER BY FAR. I only paid the amount I did so we could each have a queen bed and get a good night’s sleep. So we get our keys and go to our room…. only to open the door and find a couple ALREADY IN THAT ROOM! I had to go back down stairs and find another room. Finally I get a room and get to sleep……until 4:35 am when the fire alarm in the entire hotel goes off and it’s a false alarm! Seriously?! So I get back to sleep finally only to be woken up at 8:35 am by construction noises of cutting steel just outside my window as they are currently renovating the hotel. Worst hotel experience EVER! ( and I travel a lot!) and the most I’ve ever felt price gauged in my life. I paid $383 for this relaxing experience and still didn’t even end up with the room I reserved….or the sleep I was expecting! Beware… TOTALLY unorganized reservation system and a hot mess….unless you like construction.

It's a friendly place. Employees very nice. Lock on door had to be fixed but could have happened at any hotel. They had breakfast but I did not make it on time 6 am to 10 am.

The hotel is getting a facelift, so our room was renovated and comfortable. How ever we could barely sleep: paper thin walls and super noisy air conditioning. Spare a few extra dollar and be more comfortable. Pros: location Cons : noise level, small rooms. Would I come again : no

  • 3/5 Sarah J. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: clean, safe, warm staff, polite guests, generally quiet 10p-6a. Microwave and fridge in the room. Close to American Dream. Cons: Needs a full remodel. Cracks in the ceilings/walls. Poor soundproofing. Elevator buttons don't light up. Inadequate supplies. Ex: we needed bedding for the pullout bed. I was walked into the laundry/supply room. There weren't any clean pillows or right-sized sheets. super TINY shampoo/conditioner, no lotion. Next time I'll pay the $40 more and stay across the street. And honestly the staff was SO kind and warm and it was clear that the limitations of this place were in management's hands.

Stayed here for one night, and genuinely enjoyed it. Quiet atmosphere, and got a great night’s sleep. You can see where they are preparing for a complete series of upgrades, which will be a huge plus for travelers in the future.

Lovely hotel (in the renovated section) and superb rooms, with above-expected quality of coffee machines, TVs, sofa and bed. Staff incredible as well. Definitely will come back. But. Do be prepared to go over the road for breakfasts. They're very poor (chewy crumbly bagels, world's slowest toasters, tiny moist(in the wet sense) muffins, etc) but the breakfasts in the nearby cafés are all excellent so don't let it put you off the hotel.

  • 5/5 Ashley B. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were all incredibly accommodating and helpful. We ran into some issues with our moving truck and Roberto went out of his way to help us find a solution. Some of the facilities were out of commission due to renovations, but that did not affect our stay. The location is great, easy access to the city (public transit and Lyft/Uber) and walkable to many restaurants. We would stay here again and will definitely be recommending this hotel to any family or friends visiting the area.

We traveled for 2 hours and 30 minutes, we chose this hotel for our stay because of the ratings and amenities listed on the site and by other people. I was not impressed. I will start with our room. We stayed in room 224, for $350 for two nights the room was small and had 2 twin beds, the sink leaked underneath of it and the soap holder in the shower was broken. Ok so we dealt with those issues but still reported them. The breakfast is not a hot breakfast. The breakfast includes bagels, hot or cold cereal, muffins, fruit, and yogurt and orange and apple juice, coffee and tea. The customer service was friendly and wifi was good. Overall the hotel is overpriced.
