Very important message to head office: please see how many comments about hot water issues. The front desk (Bryan) admitted that it is because the boiler is too small and needs to be upgraded, but no date has been set. It has been like this for 6 years! Get serious please. I pay $350 a month in fees and have to wait 5 minutes for hot water in the shower, and shave with totally cold water? Where is the area manager?

I was an all access member and Overall it is a clean and very nice gym. Reason for two stars is because of the blatant integrity issues with membership and management. Amass blatantly lied to me about the terms of my membership and Lawrence was absolutely no help stating “If it wasn’t in writing it never happened”. I have since switched to a better and single club location. Saving $1200 a year. Pick and choose your locations if you decide to go forward with an equinox membership.

Fantastic gym which is very new and clean. Everything you need including weights, cardio and all equipment. Group fitness and cycle studio with lots of classes to try!!! Also has an area you could work in with great views of the oculus. Overall a great vibe !!!! Well done equinox!!!

Signed up on Feb 3.Tried to workout that day, no hot water. Cant use a gym with no hot water. Its now march 23, still no hot water. Been paying 200+/mo for a gym I havent been able to use once. Want a refund, cant get anyone to help me. They've offered access to neighboring clubs, but that doesnt help me. I have access to 2 other gyms including 1 in my building. I signed up here because I work in WTC. Not going to go to a gym that is even further away from my home. Edit: The response below once again acknowledges that they are aware of the fact their facility has no hot water. However, it doesn't address the fact they are still charging me and not issued a refund for the month + that I have not been able to use the gym. Hot water is a utility. It is required in a building. This is not a broken treadmill, or a missing dumbbell. It is an essential part of any business let alone a gym. It's unreasonable to bill me for membership while the facility is unusable. Update: 1 year later still getting emails weekly about hot water being out and then being restored only to be out again a few days later.

I have been bouncing around Equinox locations in NYC for a few years now.. all are good but i have to say.. this is my favorite location by far. The gym has plenty of space to workout without feeling cluttered. The gym is ALWAYS very clean and the weights are ALWAYS racked properly. The steam room and locker room are also very spacious and clean. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Equinox Brookfield Place 100% lives up the the Equinox Standard.

I go to every equinox to find out which location is the best. This one is great for the most part, very spacious. However as someone who tries to schedule their day, it was annoying to see them cleaning the steam room outside of the cleaning hours without a warning. Not that big of a deal but definitely a minor annoyance. Bathrooms are semi-decently stocked. Definitely not as stocked as the girls locker room (my gf tells me).

I was NOT INFORMED by the general manager before joining which is in JUNE, that there was a 12-MONTHS COMMITMENT with their membership. And now I wanted to cancel my membership. They were like YOU CAN’T IF you don’t live AT LEAST 20 miles away from their gym or don’t have a doctor’s note. This is ABSURD. BE CAREFUL when you join. To FOLLOW UP on this ridiculous cancellation process. Their GM called me before I LEFT for China and TOLD ME they would send their email to me which they NEVER did. SO I kept my US phone number and ADDED international DAY PASS so that I could reach out. And I CALLED today at 6:19PM (12/27 NYC time), first I was informed that their GM WAS ON BREAK and will be back in 10. After waiting for 20MINS, I called again and was informed their GM LEFT EARLY AlREADY. WHAT A COINCIDENCE.

The weights/workout itself is honestly great - if that were the only consideration, this would be an easy 4-5 star, but the hot water and/or steam rooms have some kind of issue 1-2 times a month, consistently (and I'm not making this up - checking back on my archived emails, I've received 10 notifications about service interruptions in the last 6 months alone). I had to shower in sub-50 degree water the other morning. To be blunt, the fees Equinox charges are too high for that to be acceptable. Fix it.

I don’t understand how you can run a “luxury” gym in the world financial center with no hot water in the showers for over a month. When you speak about this issue with employees, all you get in response is “supply chain issue”. What makes matters worse, is they increase membership price during this month without telling you about any increases.

I love this location! I just joined and have only went in the weekend mornings. It's very clean and not crowded. I'm working with a great trainer to get into shape after decades of a sedentary life. Afterwards, I walk around Battery Park City and enjoy the morning. It's a great start for the weekends.

This is one of the best Equinox locations in New York. There are two spacious and well stocked studios (one of which can be heated) and a consistently excellent variety of classes. The physical layout of the floor is impeccable so you can easily access free space, find open machines, and not feel overwhelmed or overcrowded like many other Equinox locations. Bonus: the staff is very nice and the locker rooms are always clean.

Always like this club. Natural lighting and great views either end of the club. Smaller weight training area but well equipped. I did notice that the Life treadmills are several generations old and lack interface to apple/samsung watches of more recent versions

The gym itself is fine, not too crowded, well equipped, and in a convenient location - but the locker rooms are a mess. Persistent lack of hot water, moldy showers, steam room constantly out of service, towels strewn everywhere.

Posh downtown gym. Always clean and well maintained. Decent shoppe and healthy snack bar.

Some equipments are old and not sturdy. I had an appointment with a trainer for 9am and they changed it to 12pm without consulting me first. I followed up to reschedule via email…no answer. I followed up for my massage that came with my membership package…no answer. Why do I have to keep following up? The staff should be taking initiatives for the amount they are charging. Not a good experience. And yes, the showers are cold. The previous reviews about the cold showers are true.

The place is nice, but the showers are often messed up: No hot water, the pressure is insufficient and sometimes dirty. I also recently had no towels available for the gym and the shower. The space is also very crowded and quickly field up with no equipments available. With the recent increase in price, this is quite disappointing and a bit too much to accept

Great gym with plenty of equipment, though the low ceiling keeps throwing me off, hence I prefer the Hudson Yards location due to the full window and high ceiling facilities. If you do not mind the low ceiling and the hot water issues and need to scan into office after morning workout in FiDi, then this is the gym! (also great for AMEX Centurion holders)

Great work Equinox is doing to make sure people are safe. We have to do our part and be responsible and follow the rules.

Amazing gym in an out of this world location! Gorgeous facilities with an amazing staff in a beautiful mall. As a bonus there is a running track that goes along the water and under the One World!

Infused eucalyptus hand towels from the fridge. I usually snatch two of those up and wrap it around my head in the steam room. Best feeling ever. Especially after a rigorous workout. My workouts are simple. Treadmill, then studio for push ups and sits up. Can't really speak to much about all the workout equipment they offer. But as for the locker room, Keihls got me sold. The face wash, body wash, lotion, face moisturizer, shampoo, etc. It's a spa in there fr fr. I used to go 5:30am before work. Great way to start the day if you live and work in the area.

Alway feel freshed after working out here. Hotwater is indeed a issue. Overall I like the gym and people here.

Lost an extremely important small item here in the locker rooms and they had it for me waiting at the reception desk the next day. Staff are attentive and super nice

This is a location that simply works, I usually come here when I don't have time and need to get a workout in without a hassle. This gym is clean, has the basic machines needed, I just simply workout and go.
