Bring Back Dolphins. Once again the city of New York shuts down a small business that served our community bin keeping us in shape. I refuse to join a big box gym.

This gym is a muscle building paradise. I've never and I mean never have had to even ask someone, "How many sets do you have left" not even once. Tons of machines and the amount of cardio equipment is good too. If you're all about getting in warming up, working out, stretching post workout and just getting out this is the gym for you. No bells and whistles here, just iron and the legacy of greatness that awaits you.

Great place to get your workout done! There Are Many positive things about Dolphin that make me stay here: Equipment is everything you need! Lots of free-weights, reliable cardio machines, and old-school body-building machines that were built right! You can't go wrong here and will make lots of "gains" if you keep at it. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Frankie is the "daytime guy" and is such a nice and pleasant person. The evening crew is just as welcoming and polite! Charley is the maintenance worker and is very positive and nice to be around. Mat is another gentleman here who goes above and beyond to make your workout pleasant! Price is just right. No gimmicks, no contracts, just pay for monthly, tri-monthly or yearly. They do have day passes, too. Members are really cool! Inspiring "power-lifters" and knowledgeable Body-builders that help others. People come here to work HARD and it shows. It is a great environment to be in. Clean. Locker rooms are well kept, members wipe down their machines. Overall, make Dolphin Gym your "go-to" place to train.

I came from Equinox which is a full 180 from this place. The machines are old, the numbers have worn off the weight plates so they wrote them in with grease pencil, and the showers are something from a campground...and who tf cares?! This place is awesome!!! Everyone is so nice, you never have to wait for a machine, they even held my umbrella tonight for me without my asking. I'm treated 100 times better here and I pay almost 90% LESS A MONTH to belong here!!! It is absolutely not a health club, you will not have heated towels, and there is no snobbery at all. I wish I had made the switch sooner!!

I love dolphin to death. It was the first gym I had ever trained at, there is a sense of nostalgia for me every time I workout there. The other gym patrons are kind and respectable as are the employees upfront. the value you get is incredible there is nothing the gym does not have. The price especially compared to other commercial and local gyms are outstanding you just truly cant beat dolphin.

It's a Gym. Period. Bare bones and no frills. I have a 6 month subscription and am rarely able to go on a regular basis but it's a very comfortable place to go to exercise & just unwind. No one bothers you. There aren't any obnoxious members or staff. You come. Mind your business & everyone else does the same. I love it. The Staff are quiet yet approachable & very cordial when spoken to. You want to network & show-off & meet dames? Go somewhere else. Want a serviceable locker room that's clean & enough equipment to put in your sets? This is the place.

Nice place for a lifter. No new and fancy stuff but plain old Hammerstrength machines with lots of plates.

Best gym I've ever been a member of. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, no tanning station, no massage chairs, no tootsie rolls or pizza nights but it does have a serious atmosphere and necessary equipment for people that want to train to be in shape. Whether you're just starting out or have been training for years, you'll find everything you need in this gym... and not to mention that it's at a great price.

Best gym in the Bronx. It's NEVER crowded so pretty much you can use all the equipment in peace. The staff is very friendly and understanding. Has the old school gym feel to it. I would highly recommend this gym to anybody that is trying to work out in a REAL gym.

Came all the way from LA for vacation and got a month PASS (good price). Overall a great gym with great people. No nonsense, or traffic, or kids. just your full range gym with no contract bullshit these mainstream gyms scam you with.

I love this gym. There are several machines for each body parts available, and there a personal trainers available also " for a fee of course". The staff is polite and helpful, and the members are there to do work on themselves. Furthermore, the more experienced members are helpful and courteous to the beginners, there is no "Gymtimadation" here...

This place is shut down completely. Only reason why I'm giving the one star.

Good gym. Best value ever, hands down! My only complaint would be way too many machines! You can't even get from one side of the gym to the other with out zig-zaging all over the place. I know this isn't the biggest gym, but I used to go to a way smaller gym and yet it felt bigger cus they had a more efficient floor layout. You need to reconsider your machines, reorganize and keep the essentials. Also, a proper pull-up bar is badly needed! Overall, this is a great space, good environment, everyone is friendly. Would recommend it to anyone!

👍👍 It is an amazing stay for people that really just need a bed for the night in the middle of New York. We stayed for a week and first of all the location is unbeatable.
