Enjoyed going to this place for a barbell session via classpass. Matt was super welcoming and helpful and if I lived in the area I’d probably seriously consider joining long term. They are also a martial arts focused facility so if you’re keen on trying that it’s worth it too.

One of the 1st & is the very best Muay Thai academy in NYC!!! Top tier coaching, instructing, & strength & conditioning hands down. They also have elite Kali & Judo programs as well. I've been a member since 2008 and I loved every single day I've went & I still go at least 4 times a week. I have 4 sons, my 1st 3 also trained here and my youngest is about to start training here as well. I highly recommend everyone interested to come and try it out. It's definitely not your regular gym, however you will definitely feel right at home. The whole staff & facility is AMAZING!!!

Spectacular facility, training is tough and makes you feel accomplished. The entire staff is kind and knowledgeable. They pay attention to your mistakes & help you correct them. The equipment is kept in line and cleaned after every class. There is a weight room which is a huge plus. I commute from South Brooklyn and it’s well worth it. Thanks a bunch, and much love.

I have been in several Muay Thai schools in Manhattan. This school is by far the most complete and the most professional. The coaches have excellent pedagogy, the class schedule is the most precise and complete in Manhattan, and the students are mostly friendly and welcoming.

Been coming here for a little over a year and this place is one of the best gyms ive been to. It's clean, beginner friendly, has a large number of classes, and staffed by great instructors. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get fit, develop better technique or just want to dip their toes

I've been coming here for almost 2 years. This place has great instructors and class sizes are fairly small to allow for personalized feedback. The place is always kept very clean and they have a well-equipped weight room. The Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs are very strong and everyone (coaches, teammates, front desk staff and cleaning staff) is very supportive and welcoming. They also offer Judo and Kali instruction as well as calisthenics and kettlebell classes. Swing by and check out FPA!!

Five Points Academy is the best gym / martial arts school I've ever been a part of. The dedicated staff / instructors / owners are top shelf. The facility is clean and well kept up by a great cleaning staff. They offer a variety of martial arts disciplines. Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Judo, BJJ and Muay Thai. They also have kettle bell classes, mobility classes and an open gym with weights and cardio machines. Depending on the package you sign up for you can get involved in all of them. The class schedules are terrific. Whether you want to get in shape, lose weight, learn a discipline or you just come to hang out with Boris the gym dog, Five Points is your new spot! It's a terrific community.

Five ( 5 ) Points Academy is the premiere Thai boxing, Judo, / martial arts fighting gym in Manhattan / NYC. They have a good selection of weights and machines for conditioning as well. The three owners have a combined 100yrs experience in fighting and training others to compete (*or fight like you could). I'm an 'og' member and have attribute most of my strength and all of my fighting skills to Five Points. They have a small unassuming ground floor presence - BUT the lower level is a cavernous , volumetric fight club :)

This gym is professional, welcoming, yet challenging. It is filled with great staff. The training facility is maintained neatly and functionally. The comradery of all members truly creates a close knit team environment. Anyone looking for quality martial arts instruction and a community to call home. This is the place.

Five Points Academy is located in lower Manhattan and close to several subway stops making it easy to get to - The B, D, J, 4 and 6 are a short walk away. When I went I was greeted by the very nice Nadia who was working the front desk. She was super helpful as was instructor Gianna Smith. Smith helps manage the two story gym and is very experienced. She's trained out of the very technical Sitjaopho gym in Hua Hin Thailand and has fought for the USMF (United States Muay Thai Federation) on several occasions. She picked up a gold medal in the 2017 Pan American games and has a solid amount of experience in the states and Thailand. The facility opens up with a small pro shop and then a kettlebell area. Behind it is the locker rooms which have showers!!! Downstairs is another strength and conditioning area along with several treadmills. The area has a full bag area, ring, and area for jiu jitsu. There are plenty of locker rooms to store your stuff. I was able to take a class with Steve Milles, one of the head instructors at the gym. An experienced fighter and coach he ran the class through some solid pad work. Afterwards he led a fight team training that went super smooth, no egos, and no bumps or bruises. Price wise I think it is a reasonable $250 a month with recurring billing. If you go three to four times a week the membership more than pays for itself. Good instruction. Nice clean facilities. Solid people. Five Points is a great Muay Thai gym in NYC.

I joined this gym about 2 months ago, and I love it a lot. They have Muay Thai, Kali, Judo, BJJ, and strength and conditioning classes; that's a lot of classes! The instructors and students are nice, and they have a good weekly schedule. You basically can come whatever time you want (depending on the class). That's very convenient for me since I'm a college student. I highly recommend this place. P.S. college students get a discount on the membership -Dennis Borodin
