I joined in the beginning of January as a beginner to boxing. I had previously tried out Rumble, Everybody Fights and Title - none of those compare to Work Train Fight. Each trainer truly cares about you; they work with each person in their class to better their punches, stances and conditioning techniques. They are the only gym that does 1x1 sparring excersizes during regular classes which really improves ones confidence and skills. The owner is there every day checking in on every one and making those personal connections. This is such a great facility, I genuinely look forward to coming here every day. Also, their prices are unbeatable! Private sessions included in some packages!? Unheard of in NYC. 110% recommend to anyone!

I grew tired of my sedentary lifestyle and decided to try WTF since they have a $97/first month promo. I'm really glad I tried it out because it's such a great place. Every class I've been to has been great - all of the instructors are helpful, patient, and want to make sure you're learning the exercises and moves. Also Guapo (the dog, not the human) is here.

I love Work Train Fight! The classes are great and the coaches are extremely talented and helpful. You get a community vibe and just feel good going there. There is personal training if you want to learn basics before starting class otherwise there is a variety of classes offered for each level.

This place has great classes but unclear policy. Getting an unlimited membership pass is actually only a 1 class or 1 gym session per day pass, not unlimited at all. When I got to the gym nobody at the front desk seemed to know what they were doing and told me I had to leave the gym until my class time is here. Edit: I resolved some misunderstanding through email

WorkTrainFight is everything you would expect from a top-notch boxing gym. The instructors/trainers are professional and very friendly, the gym is clean and well laid out, and the boot camp classes are awesome. I came here having never boxed before and after one session felt comfortable standing in the front row of the class. I also decided after my first class that I was definitely joining the gym. The class Box N Work is one of the best workouts I have ever had. Each instructor has a different style and approach to the class but they are all equally as challenging. I suggest signing up for the promo ($45 lets you try 4 boot camp classes and gives you a free pair of gloves). This way you can try out the different classes and different instructors to find what works best for you. I highly recommend this place.

I've been all over the world and this is by far the best (boxing) gym I've been too. Great facilities, opens early, great positive vibes, elite instructors and coaches (Sofrito, Donovan, Lenny, Danny) and excellent customer service (Rob, Daniel, Luis). Do yourself a favor and sign up today!

Great gym for all levels, especially if you're looking to learn more about proper technique, all the instructors are great, but love taking Donovan and Nikki's classes. Clean facilities, plenty of equipment including bags, core, and strength training equipment as well. Would highly recommend!

The trainer, Aaron Sifflet, was rude and acted unprofessional. First incident is when he was about to begin and I was almost done wrapping my hand. I didn’t want to hold the class and so I stepped to the side so I can finish it. I have had injuries before so I wanted to be careful. He told me to just go and I said please start without me I don’t want to be injured. He then mocks me and then says no we can all wait for you. I understand to a certain degree but it was individual station and I did not want to injure myself again from hitting bags without proper preparation. Then the second incident is when I told him I am just learning boxing so it’d be nice if he can tell me if I am doing anything wrong or show me the correct way. He then tells me no worries but after doing some pad work, he gets frustrated that I wasn’t hitting it properly. I could see that we weren’t timing it properly. He then told me to have my right hand up and I made sure it was covering my cheek/jaw. He then asks me to do the cross and afterwards he goes above my head and smacks my head. I am okay getting hit while learning but in this case, it felt little different. I felt his frustration. Is it hard to show the beginner what they need to do other than to yell and act unprofessional? I then asked him have you played baseball? He then said no. I asked him if I told you to throw a curve ball, would you know how? He said no. I said well I would show you and teach you the form and how to throw it properly without injuring yourself. I am sure there was a lot more into this than that but he kept saying I was a know-it-all. I am sure I told him I am a beginner and I don’t know anything. I am having a hard time understanding his logics but I am sure I don’t want to be a part of his class anymore. I am sure others may have better experience at this gym or with this trainer but I wouldn’t recommend him as your trainer. So far, the gym is filled with energy and lots of positive people. I hope this experience is a one time thing with all the positive reviews!

This is one of the best, most motivating experiences in New York. I've been a member of many other gyms, but ultimately have gotten bored of the non-challenging, monotonous workouts - NOT HERE. The classes are intense, the trainers have personality, and the workouts can't be matched. I highly recommend it. My only wish is that they continue to expand the space (they just did recently - but we need more space); the gym can get crowded during busy times, and the changing rooms are busy....

Amazing boxing gym. It’s the real deal. Every trainer is a fighter. If you want to learn to box and find a great community, this is the place.

Awesome gym! Check out the promos on their website. Super fun classes for all levels in a very cool and clean space. Vibe and energy you won’t find at other boxing gyms. Go here, hit something, and be happy.

Tried their one-month discounted membership for new members. Loved the structure of the group classes. For the main part of the class, they divide people into 4-5 groups with each group doing some sort of boxing or strength/core exercise in quick rotations. The format kept it interesting (instead of say a grid of punching bags) and also allowed for exercises with the trainer as well. Highly recommend trying it out.

I first took the Work Train Fight Experience and had Mark as my trainer for my 1-on-1 training and I had a great time with him. Since then, I signed up and have been coming 4 times out of the week. The facility is clean, the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, the trainers are AWESOME! You can walk through the facility and the trainers will acknowledge you even while they're working with clients. It's a great place to come and learn how to box... I highly recommend Work Train Fight!

I was definitely intimidated first walking into the gym but my friend assured me that it would be fun and that I would love it. After taking my first class my entire body was sore it was an intense work out but it made me realize I can use just about all my muscles in just one class. It’s a full body workout and the best part is these classes are not ordinary you actually develop useful skills and techniques. The trainers are awesome, extremely motivating. I definitely recommend this gym!

I have been working out at WTF for the past several years, and it is by far the best gym I have worked out at in NYC. The lessons with individual trainers are highly individualized and offer great expertise on technique, and the boot camp class are an excellent mix of friendly competitiveness and pushing one to the max. There is also a great variety of classes to choose from. I recommend this gym highly to anyone who is serious about getting and staying in shape, and who thrives on a professional, no-nonsense approach.
