It’s a great gym, with great old school equipment, along with photos of the greats who trained in the gym founded by Brian Moss. The members for the most part, are very cliquish, not very friendly, and have a lot of attitude. Those tendencies only got worse after the pandemic. But there are some very serious weightlifters there. The more serious people tend to be friendlier.

Great gym. 1st floor has smoothies, protein shakes and other things. Downstairs is the gym . The trainers are awesome.

I've been training with Alex Ustinov for the past few months and he’s absolutely spectacular. So knowledgeable and encouraging, he genuinely cares about helping you hit your own fitness goals. The class he runs “fight club” is the best part of my week. His approach to boxing classes is hands on, rigorous, exceptionally challenging, and unique. 100/10 would recommend, he’s the main the best part of this gym and definitely the best boxing trainer in the city.

Basement gym with a lot of serious lifters and a good selection of gear.

I loveeeeee the options but I wish the offerings would be more current- for example cleaner protein options and additives like spirulina and chlorophyll... things to really push interest. However, the staff is polite, quick, and the ease of being right above the gym really wins. The juices and shakes are also very decently priced for what you get in my opinion! Worth it for a quick afternoon pick-me-up!

Primarily a weightlifter gym. Cardio and classes are secondary. Most patrons ahve trainers. Locker is clean but not fancy. Staff is nice and patrons are generally friendly.

Solid gym - no fuss, no muss. Do not trust Ariel Rodriguez to train.

Excellent gym for serious lifting — there’s a wide variety of equipment, plenty of squat racks, and the DBs go up to 150lbs. I love the hack squat and all of the Hammer Strength machines. I highly recommend training here!

Completebody is a great place to train and the staff are very friendly. I’ve trained with several trainers and never had results they I do with Ray. He is one of the best trainers out there! I love that he is professional and serious about your health & physic. Ray’s power pump, old school ways I just can’t get enough of! Check him out, you won’t be disappointed.

This gym is definitely a throwback, but with SUCH a cool vibe. I'm always super impressed with the variety of equipment and how clean they keep the gym constantly. I started going to Complete Body because my trainer, Marcela, trains her clients here. She's the best trainer in New York City...and I've had a few, even from Equinox. Nothing compares! Every time I visit the gym, the staff are so nice and they're doing a GREAT job with COVID protocol. I feel safe here. It's THE ultimate gym to join if you're looking for body building!

Came here to shout-out Fight Club instructor J-I. What sets this boxing class apart is how each session builds on the last in a logical progression that challenges the body and mind. While the content is ever-changing, the format of the class is consistent and structured to incorporate partner work, one on one time with the instructor, group drills, and core strength. Everyone gets training appropriate to their experience level regardless of the number of attendees in class, and receives individual feedback. Very motivating and fun!

I am reviewing JI’s kickboxing class Frigging AWESOME!! JI motivates us to be our highest when we are in class, we show up to be the best version of ourselves !! He is patient but serious about us getting our form and basic technical moves right ! The energy of the class is a good pace , we are always moving , working at different stations till you get your one on one with (The Avatar) lololol There’s a great camaraderie in the regular group and someone’s always willing to give you a hand if you forget your moves! All in all you will learn some great fighting skills, Train with a great group of people , the music will Keep you on your toes and JI will train you like a prize fighter! Debz

First time visit for a one on one boxing session in studio. There is a juice bar where you check in. Great amenities in locker room.

A real grunge gym experience, no chain, cute boutique gym that evolves more around "lifestyle" comfort vibes and latte conversations. You come here to work out and you among serious weight trainers, body builders and powerlifters. You put you phone down and it's about putting in work like everyone else is. This is not your Blink or Planet Fitness easy peasy "Starbucks" vibe like gym. Here is a real gym. It doesn't need to be pretty it just need to be effective a d the vibe setting, not a social gathering. Want results and willing to pay for it this is where I reccomend. Not for everyone. However if you truly serious about seeing changes, motivated you come here. Want to look cute go to Blinky Winky or Planet Barney Fitness.

Went on a guest pass with my friend as I was visiting the city. I had to give my contact details to ‘sign up’ for the day. Had I know that my personal information was to be used to be hounded and harassed In an unprofessional aggressive manner, I wouldn’t have bothered. Me giving my details over was not an invitation to hound me to become a member. All in all I was called, left voicemails, texted and emailed a total of 5 times. I found it quite pathetic and I’m being nice giving this place 2 stars as the interior was quite cool. Did not appreciate the rude disrespectful comment my friends personal trainer made about me either. I have no interest in ever attending what has proven to be a rogue establishment who employ rogues.

Complete body is a wonderful gym with organized, thoughtful, and friendly staff. I joined the gym recently having been referred to train with the fabulous Marcella. I’ve played sports and exercised seriously my entire life and somehow find myself learning something new about my body and strength every time I train with her. Marcella finds a way to blend innovation into the most classic of movements. At Complete Body, I feel safe, sexy, and psyched to challenge myself with every workout.

I’ve trained in this location since the ‘90s when it was called Better Bodies Gym. Excellent array of equipment and the staff is great! If you need help from weight management to resistant training, your go to trainer is Leo, “hands down”!

I miss this gym. It’s the best body building gym in NYC for real. My only complaints are the old lockers in the locker room that are jammed, old, and rusted and the benches by the dumbells are scattered, tight and the benches are wack

As an Indepent Fitness Trainer, this is a great place to train clients. Centrally located, reasonable fees, and well equipped.

Rock solid gym. Traveling in NYC, and this gym has plenty of space and equipment for a great powerlifting/bodybuilding/strength/conditioning training session. Friendly staff and customers.

I am a regular at the 19th Street location, but the service here has gone downhill over the past few months. The hot water system for the showers has been out for over a month, so it is nearly impossible for people to take a shower if they want to exercise before going to work. Last week, I saw a cockroach in the weightlifting area, and I think the entire gym would likely benefit from a deep cleaning. Several folks I know have stopped training at this gym over the past few months. Unless things improve, I will likely also begin training elsewhere.

I've been working with Alex Ustinov and taking his classes and he is the best trainer I have worked with. He is an expert in fitness, changes up classes every week and training, and has increased my coordination, strength, and overall confidence. He picks up on one's level of fitness to tailor your workouts while pushing you to work hard. His unique workouts have made me so much stronger and leaner. He has a great attitude and sense of humor and makes working out fun. If you're looking to transform your body and improve your well being Alex will help you get there!
