👍 Workout sequence was good, HIIT/weight/circuit get your heart rate pumping and jiggly fat burning. Coach had good vibe and kept the spirit going. I would recommend people who have done weights/circuit traning before coming in and know the correct forms first because they ain't gon' give you adjustme... Workout sequence was good, HIIT/weight/circuit get your heart rate pumping and jiggly fat burning. Coach had good vibe and kept the spirit going. I would recommend people who have done weights/circuit traning before coming in and know the correct forms first because they ain't gon' give you adjustments lol 😂🤣. The coach is more like a DJ/ host for the workout. Staff was ok they don't really care about cause they be busy checking themselves out in the mirror 😘. Though the lady with glasses kinda had an attitude 💅🏻. Overall, they do provide a great workout and atmosphere in the Red Room (lol) was great it's like a PARTAYYY so I get the hype. if you okay with all the above-mentioned stuff and have the dough 💳💰💸 to make it rain in DA RED ROOM I'll say go for it 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻.

Very friendly front desk staff. There were towels on the workout stations and treadmills which were nice. The red room is huge so it was a little difficult to see the instructor but that’s normal for a nyc Barry’s class. Overall, good experience, would come back

I have taken a few classes here. The concept is exhilarating. Amber and Joe are great. However, as mentioned by at least one other reviewer, the music is too loud for participants (especially those new to Barry's) to understand the instructions clearly. It is still possible, but I found myself distracted from the workout as I devoted my thoughts to figuring out what was being said. Do try to dial back the treble especially as it is painfully piercing.

This is such a soulless place to workout! I was particularly frustrated for them overbooking the class and giving people on the waitlist my spot but then also charging me for the class although I arrived BEFORE THEY STARTED THE CLASS! Also, some of the instructors are really arogant and never help with correcting the postures or speaking clear proper English! They also accept people with all Fitness levels without giving them any support to correct their training which then becomes hazardous for the rest of people in the room!

This area has become the gym district but you’re guaranteed to get your money’s worth here. Barry’s is a good challenge and takes a lot of effort but your feel accomplished by the end. I particularly like how it mixes weightlifting and running. The music is usually awesome which is a great bonus. A lot of people seem intimidated to try it; I say go for it! ...and maybe grab a protein shake from their shop at the end 😀

I did my first class at Barry’s for free with the Corporate Challenge! I did not have much expectation going into the class, just pictured it as a regular workout class people goto. However, my perspective changed after completing my first session. Some important aspects to the class I thought was the instructor, the people, and the music. The instructor tells instruction on what do to for the next workout about every 30 sec. There’s a lot of people, I went to 8:30am class. And the music is played out loud at a decent volume. All of this coupled together makes the class exciting, interactive, and motivating as you see other people doing the same thing. Everyone is there with the same goal in mind, and NO headphones! I highly recommend anybody try it out! Best part hands down is Oribe body lotion they have! Smells amazing!

When I feel like I haven’t pushed myself in a while I come to Barry’s. This location is particularly convenient by the trains and can have a nice walk afterwards. You can choose to run or double floor (weights at all times). This is a great option for me as I’m not great with running. Love this place!

Very nice place. Can't afford to go there but it looks like a good spot to go and if you got the money and you can afford it

I like to visit the red room now and again when I feel stuck in a workout rut. If you want to increase your VO2 max or stop puffing at the top of the subway stairs, this workout is for you. The coaches magically simultaneously direct a treadmill workout and a floor resistance workout. After about 15 mins, you are invited to swap. It’s run-weights-run-weights or double floor is all weights only. Good thing for all the mirrors: you can check your form and correct yourself. The coach is busy teaching two classes! Their cueing is excellent and I’ve never taken from a bad coach. Participants are self involved and no one is watching each other, a comfortable environment with low lights. I always sweat and feel great after. Amazing showers, smoothie bar, Orbie products in the showers and the best sized towels! Say yes.

Matthew G. was honestly a terrible instructor. I love Barry’s but he didn’t covey the Barry’s energy and identity at all. Not motivating, low energy, music was off, he wasn’t helping or correcting people. I do not recommend training with him!

Always an amazing workout in a clean and spacious location. Switched from the Chelsea location (which is dingy and smelly) and never looking back

Barry's Bootcamp in SoHo is mind-blowing! Shoutout to Elle, the amazing trainer who brings unmatched energy. The workouts are tough, but she pushes you beyond your limits. The atmosphere is unreal, and the music is phenomenal. The staff is super kind and supportive as well. Go to Barry's ask for Tuesday’s with Elle, and get ready to crush it!

Classes basically every hour and it’s usually easy to get a last min reservation.

I didn't have a good experience. The workout isn't anything unique or life changing. Run intervals followed by weight training can be done anywhere. The locker room was messy, the toilet paper dispenser was left open making it impossible to tear off a piece of TP, broken garbage can, empty sanitizer bottles, unwelcoming front desk staff (the kind who think their mere existence fulfills their job duties) and a clueless instructor who never once asked the newbies about any injuries or bothered explaining anything about the class. High pass on Barry's.

One of the better locations. Good bath/changing rooms. A large studio, but if you are tall, be careful about the pillars by some of the floor stations. Ask if one is behind you, because if so, it will be difficult to do any flor exercises.

Great workout & went by super fast but nearest water access point is near the locker rooms, so if you need water, good luck!!
