If
you're
an
adult
who
is
a
beginner
at
swimming
and
you're
looking
to
use
either
of
the
two
swimming
pools
to
practice
swimming
during
"adult
lap"
time,
you
will
be
disappointed
("adult
lap"
is
the
designated
times
where
adults
who
are
members
can
use
the
pool).
There
are
two
pools,
but
they're
both
always
crowded.
I
went
at
9am
on
Saturday
and
there
was
a
children's
swimming
class
in
the
same
pool
where
there
was
designated
adult
lap.
They
designated
a
specific
section
for
adults
to
swim,
but
if
you're
not
comfortable
with
jumping
into
the
pool
to
enter
the
pool,
you
will
be
highly
disappointed
because
the
staircase
is
located
in
the
section
where
the
children's
swimming
class
takes
place
so,
basically,
the
staircase
is
closed
off
to
adults.
In
North
Brooklyn
YMCA,
adult
lap
is
designed
only
to
adults
with
no
other
activities
occurring
during
that
time.
There
were
too
many
adults
in
the
small,
closed-off
adults
section
to
effectively
practice
swimming.
This
experience
happened
in
the
small
pool
that
is
less
crowded
than
the
"JK
pool".
The
JK
pool
is
a
circus.
This
location
costs
more
than
North
Brooklyn
or
Jamaica,
but
it
is
always
crowded.
There
aren't
even
changing
stalls
in
the
locker
room,
and
parents
bring
male
and
female
kids
into
the
locker
rooms,
so
you
have
change
in
their
presence
while
others
are
staring
at
your
body
parts.
I
became
a
member
at
this
"YMCA"
because
it's
closer
to
me
and
I
mostly
wanted
to
have
access
to
the
pools
for
practicing
so
pool
access
is
important.
Things
that
are
better
at
this
location
are
the
hours,
more
cardio/weight
training
equipment,
an
outdoor
track
where
you
can
walk,
and
other
non-swimming
activities.
I
can
imagine
that
the
pools
may
be
less
crowded
at
early
morning
hours
on
weekdays
when
kids
are
in
school
(6:45am
-2pm).
I
agree
with
the
other
review
that
says
that
this
location
caters
to
families.
